Chapter 2: Breakfast
Sora woke up and rubbed her eyes, and she saw Mashiro cooking in the kitchen.
"Mashiro san, good morning!"
"Sora chan. Morning."
"What are you making?"
"I'm making English breakfast. I recently learnt how to make this when watching cooking videos."
"That's a really lot of food."
"Breakfast is almost ready, Sora chan!"
Sora then brushed her teeth and head to the table and sat down.
"Sora chan, Here."
Sora saw there are baked beans, with some fried eggs, some sausages, baked tomatoes, and bread, and some mushrooms on the side, moreover there are 3 pieces of bacon.
"That's a lot of food in the plate."
"This is called English Breakfast, originated from England. Which the British people eat, it started from the 14th century."
"How can a simple breakfast can have a long history?"
"Well, that's true, Sora chan."
"I haven't seen you yesterday afternoon, Mashiro san."
"Yesterday I was buying groceries from the supermarket. This breakfast was inspired by Yuko senpai."
"Who, Mashiro san?"
"Well, do you remember cure honey?"
"She transformed to cure honey?"
"You really have a lack of memory, Sora chan, she was with Cure Lovely."
"Oh, I remember, Megumi and Yuko from the Happiness Charge team."
"Yes, Sora chan! Yuko taught me this. She gave me some brief instructions."
"She is a talented cook, am I right?"
Mashiro remembered the time when she was hungry, and she passed by the shop that Yuko currently is working in and ordered rice with some broccoli and meat. She briefly saw Yuko making food by herself while her store was not in business. She was skillful, able to cook broccoli without hesitation. The food that Yuko cooked is tasty, the salt, the pepper was well balanced.
"Yep, she was. She recently learned English breakfast, and she cooked it for her family."
"Since when she started learning?"
"Well, it's from her parents, they went outside and tried it. And her parents told her to learn more, so her mom taught her how to know, her parents roasted her for making the same food these weeks, Yuko said this to me." Mashiro chuckled.
"I can't believe English breakfast have a lot of food, I think the British people love to eat this." Sora said, with her mouth starting to water.
"Surprised, Sora chan? I spend two weeks on making this perfect English breakfast just for you."
"Let's try."
Sora put her fork and put it on the sausage.
"Whoa, Sora chan. I didn't know you would go to the sausage first."
"What's wrong, Mashiro san?"
"I usually put bacon and eggs between the bread, well, just leaving some space for eating the rest of the food."
"I thought English Breakfast is that we have to eat it in the traditional way."
"No, Sora chan, any food is fine."
Sora took a bite of the sausage and her eyes felt delighted, it's like the last time when she first met Mashiro, in which she tasted Salmon.
"Love it, Sora chan?"
"This sausage is so juicy, I honestly thought it was some kind of carrot wrapped with meat."
"Ha ha ha, Sora chan. Sausage is considered as meat."
"But it tastes good and juicy. "
"Practice makes perfect."
"Sora chan, next time I will teach you, ok? I can assist you."
"With pleasure, Mashiro san."
They smiled and ate breakfast.
