Moka was thankful that she had been taught how to use coordinate gps searches. Tekeshi hadn't known exactly where in Derry the hospital, but he was able to give her the coordinates for it, and advised her to be very careful when she arrived. He hadn't had a chance to go through and make sure that there weren't any yokai that could hide their nature from him still there.
She actually was heeding his advice on it. In any other condition she would have hit the place like a bomb, but she had to consider her unborn child. She hoped that he had time between the end of the call, and her arrival to clear the place completely. As much for her safety, and to have an uninterrupted reunion with her son.
She was surprised that the road looked so unused going up to the building. The large construction fence showed panels that were rusted out, and tattered tarps. It was obvious that no one with any kind of good intentions had been there in a long time. It seemed like an obvious place for an organization that was hellbent on world domination to set up an evil base.
Making sure that there wasn't anyone watching her she whipped her car into the front opening in the fence that was most likely for delivery and construction vehicles at one point. She managed to find a concealed place to park, and shut the vehicle off. It was eerily quiet in the area.
Getting out she looked back at the item that she had put in the seat before she had departed from the manor. She was a proud Shinso vampire, and prefered to use her hands, or something heavy and blunt. Yet again though, her pregnancy had to come first. At least her collection was something useful was her only thought as she picked up a revolver and held it close to her leg.
It was a little funny though. It was Mizore's mother who had actually gotten her into collecting firearms. She also couldn't deny that the whole secret agent thing wasn't a little fun. It would have been more fun if she hadn't had need of it in real life.
She hated being almost forty, and being a hardened soldier. She just wanted to be a mom, and a wife. She wanted to be a daughter and a sister. This wasn't the life she wanted, but the option to be anything else had never been open to her. So right now, she was walking into a hospital that smelled like absolute slaughter, with a .38 in her hand.
She approached the front entrance and had to stop and look at the sight. There were three corpses that had attracted a large number of insects. None of them were in a very recognizable condition. Where was the woman's head, and her underwear. That was not anything that she had wanted to see, and made her feel like she needed to do some trimming when she got home.
Shivering and shaking her head she walked in. She brought the gun up, and scanned the lobby. It didn't take her long to lower the weapon. The only things moving around, were feasting on bodies. Rats, stray animals, and insects had found their way to what was essentially a major bounty for them, and could care less about the vampire in their midst.
"Mom," her gun came up to the sound of the elevator as it opened, "Uh, I won't even feel that, and you would feel a whole lot worse if you pulled the trigger."
"Tekeshi," she rushed over to hug him.
She didn't know if he had done it for her, but he was in the appearance that she knew. The tricolor hair and the carmine and emerald eyes. This was her child, and she didn't want to let him go.
"Yeah Mom, it's me. You don't know how good it is to see you. Wait, why are you carrying a gun right now," he suddenly asked.
"Give me a few more minutes. I feel too good right now to answer," this was almost better than being told she was pregnant.
"Mom, I wish I had more time to just stay here with you, but we need to get her on her way with you, and I need to start chasing my prey," he stroked his mother's head as she clung tightly to him.
"You got taller," she said, ignoring what he said.
There was a mirrored pillar near them that Tekeshi looked over to. He hadn't paid attention, but he was at least two inches taller than he had been a few months ago. He was also bulkier. Moka pushed back to look at him. He had been tall and a little bit lanky, built like traditional martial artist. Now he was more like a prize fighter. His muscles were larger, and better developed and proportioned. He was solid, and seemed perfect.
"I guess I did. Mom, I know, hopefully I will be back soon, but not yet. Come on, she is upstairs," Tekeshi hated pulling back further, but he didn't have a choice.
"Right. Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. Lead on," she said.
The elevator ride should have been shorter but Moka couldn't help herself but to hit the stop button. Tekeshi looked at her questioning, but didn't say anything. He had an idea of what was about to be said.
"She misses you, they both do," Moka said after a minute.
"Mom please."
"I can't just let it go. You should have been the first person that saw her when she woke up. It took her two weeks to be able to do anything but sit there saying your name," she didn't look at him as she spoke.
"Rover, wanderer, nomad, vagabond
Call me what you will"
Moka looked over at him, "What was that."
"The first song I ever sang in front of her, was Wherever I May Roam. That day that we took Dad's car to go out that summer. She told me that her favorite music was heavy metal. I sang that song because she mentioned Metallica specifically. I sang those words the day she woke up, and I sing them at least once a day, everyday. Mom, you don't know how painful this is for me, and I hope you never have to. Please don't make me feel any guiltier about my choices, than I already do," Tekeshi turned his head away from his mother.
Moka hit the button to resume. She hadn't actually thought about how much he had been hurting. It must have been easier for her to hope that he wasn't hurting, that something had changed in him becoming what he was that made this easier. She should have known better. This was Tekeshi.
"You asked why I was using a pistol earlier," she said after a moment.
He nodded, "You prefer kicking things, so I found it weird."
"I do have a reason, a big one. I'm pregnant, a little over four months," she said as the car moved.
Tekeshi looked down a little shocked, "Pregnant. I, can't... Mom, that's awesome. I hope I'm there to meet them from their first breath."
Moka smiled, "I do too."
The ride was finished in silence. The image that met them was one of complete carnage. Moka had known that Tekeshi wasn't squemish, but even she wasn't prepared for what he was capable of now. The corpses were more intact, since only insects had been able to get up this far. The wounds that were most common seemed to be from something she wasn't familiar with.
Things didn't change as they continued down the hallway. She noticed that some were even crushed into the walls, and were partially dismembered. What she didn't see were bullet wounds. Nalin had said that he was using guns himself, but she didn't see any indication there.
"You, didn't shoot any of them," she asked.
Her son shook his head, "Too much risk of a stray round getting outside and hurting someone. For the most part, I beat them to death with a sledge hammer. It was the best way given the surrounding area."
It made sense. It wasn't the weapon she would have chosen, but it seemed to have been effective. Even if it was disturbing her a little.
Soon they came to the room that Akui was in. Moka wasn't sure how she was going to react to the woman. She had many reasons to hate her. Still, she took a breath and walked in.
It shocked her to see an older and unhealthy looking version of Utsuki laying there. Her skin was rough and dry looking, and her hair had been falling out. Several of her fingers looked like they had been broken and dislocated. Bruises could be seen on what was almost exposed bone with how atrophied her muscles had become. It was an even more horrific sight to her than the bodies.
The woman didn't look at her when she spoke, "Who are you?"
Her voice was rather dead sounding, and dry. There was a hostile note to her voice, but it was rather disinterested. This was a woman who was defeated in her existence.
"My name is Moka. I am Tekeshi's mother."
"Who is Tekeshi?I've never heard that name before," Akui replied, the same disinterest in her voice as earlier.
"I am. I guess introductions were never made before. She is going to take you somewhere safe," Tekeshi said from the doorway.
"Safe. A prison? Back to my family? I'm better off just being put on a street corner,' the woman said.
Moka was surprised at how bad the woman was, "Not really to your family. The only two there will be Utsuki, and her mother. I don't think they will harm you, but you will be expected to follow some rules, and as soon as I have them figured out, I will tell you what they are. Can you walk?"
"They dislocated my hips, when they let an ogre have a turn at me. My pussy is a mess from that too. It may be just as well I can't walk, that might cause problems. At least I don't have to worry about getting knocked up, I couldn't carry a kid in this condition," at that she started crying uncontrollably.
Moka stood and shooed Tekeshi back into the hall, "She is, worse than I thought she was from what you said on the phone. She may not ever be right after this. Did she ever say how this came about?"
"She said that she was basically reduced to a back alley hooker after she was banished. She was doing whatever she could to feel any modicum of pleasure. Apparently she ran onto someone in Fairy Tale's leadership that took a turn with her. He tried to choke her to death, but after an hour of not getting anywhere, he took her captive so they could study her. When they couldn't learn anything, well, you know what then. They had her under study for about six months, and fun for the last three," he said quietly.
"It's a shame that Yukari gave up her practices. I don't know anyone else that would be able to help her," Moka frowned as she tried to figure out what to do.
"I understand why she made her decision. Mom, I... I know you are going to have to tell 'Suki that you saw me. I sent her a letter a few days ago with the girl I sent. Please give her a message for me," he closed his eyes.
"What is it?"
"Polish the Red Special."
"She is the one that put a bullet in Tekeshi's head, and you brought her here,"Tsukune was beyond angry.
"Tsukune. Enough. I don't care what she did, he lived, and 'Suki lived. What she went through in the last few months for her, nobody deserves. She is in bad shape. She can't even walk or move her legs," Moka stood her ground.
Akua and Maggie were looking on. They were just there to do paperwork dealing with Maggie's adoption, not get involved in whatever this was.
"Uh, Moka, why did he not kill her," Akua asked in a lull.
Moka frowned, "Apparently 'Suki accidentally made her immortal. She lived through a lot that should have killed her. She went three months without food or water. She was raped by an ogre that left her hips in the condition that they are in now. She needs help, and my son asked me to make sure she got it."
Akua nodded, "Ok, I'm behind you."
Tsukune's jaw dropped, "What about Utsuki? Did you ever consider how she would feel with her here? What is it going to do to her to have to see the face of someone that ruined her life."
"Right now, she is the one that has cared the most. She is with her right now," Moka said.
Tsukune's jaw managed to go further to the ground as he vaulted his desk heading to the infirmary. He hoped that he wasn't about to find a murder scene, not with how short a time the girl had been a vampire. He didn't know how it would affect her.
What he arrived to see, was three Utsukis, one older and in poor shape. Two he could account for, so this had to be Akui. He wasn't really prepared for this, so he didn't actually go far enough in the room to attract attention. Instead he just listened.
"I'm sorry," apparently they hadn't said anything until the older woman spoke then.
He waited several minutes to hear Utsuki speak, "No, I didn't realize what I did. I thought you would probably kill yourself, so that you didn't have to live like this. I didn't ever want you to go through what you have. I don't know if I can reverse what I did."
"I don't want to die, if that is what you are thinking. I just want this hell to end. I don't know what was wrong with me for most of my life. I'm glad to be free of that. I don't know if I really deserve any compassion though. Your, boyfriend, is a good one. You are really lucky to have him," Akui said.
"He, I miss him, and I can't wait until he comes back. He sent a message with Mother that gives me hope. Polish the Red Special. His favorite guitar. I can't wait to hear him play again. Akui, I, want to do something for you. I don't know how much I can fix, but I can do something. Kari, would you go close the door," he heard the girl say soberly.
He heard Kari walk over, and when she noticed him he held a finger to his lips. The nephilim looked at him puzzled, but left the door open enough that he could observe what was happening. Moka arrived at that time too, and he pointed at the cracked door.
"Thank you Sis. Akui, let's get you stripped down, and I can see what all I need to try to do."
"NO, No. Please no. Not you too," panic crept into the woman's voice.
"I'm not like them. I'm not going to hurt you, you've been hurt enough. It's my fault you are like this now. Akui, I don't have many ways that I can do anything for you. Please, let me have this chance," Utsuki did her best to soothe the woman.
After she calmed down the two girls helped her disrobe. They hadn't thought to pull the curtains, so the two vampires could see the extent of the abuse she had seen. There were blothces and bulges all over her torso. One of her flattened breasts was mangled, and little more than a mass of scar tissue. They could even see her ruined womanhood, stretched and showing the scars from tearing. She was like something from a horror movie.
"Oh my, how could, I think... I think I am going to be sick," Utsuki said once she could see the extent.
"I don't blame you. I look down at myself, and I can't be anything else. I look back at my life, and I have to be sick, because of how sick I was," the mangled woman began crying.
They watched Utsuki put her hand on the woman's shoulder. Then things changed. The bulges from bones that had healed wrong smoothed out, and the bruises faded away. The damaged breast, while it didn't fill out, took a more natural shape for her condition. Her genitals began to shrink and the scarring recede. With a sudden cry her legs took a more natural angle.
They couldn't believe the sight. They realized how little they knew about Utsuki's powers. They were great though, and the two observers were glad that the powers belonged to someone so benevolent and kind.
"Utsuki, I know that he may not want to see me, or even hear my name, but I want to talk to Mamoru. To your father."
"I will see if Mom can get in touch with him, but I can't guarantee he will want to. I won't let him hurt you though. You have hurt enough."
