The second day at Degrassi felt a lot longer than the first for Serenity. By the end of the day, she was more than ready to sit back and watch some cheesy reality TV back at Jay's. So much so, that she even left her last class early just to sit on the hood of Sean's car until he came out. Once the bell indicating the end of the day rang, she spotted Manny in the parking lot. It seemed like she was looking for Serenity, too.

"Hey, there you are!" Manny called, jogging towards Sean's car, "I really need to talk to you about something."

She slid off the hood and took a few steps to meet Manny, "what's up?"

"So, I just heard Emma basically broke up with Peter at lunch," she started, "do you know why the sudden change of heart?"

Serenity sighed and looked at the ground, "you didn't hear it from me."

She retold the story Sean told her the night before, including the earrings he gifted her. Manny seemed both touched and somewhat angry.

"Peter and I went through hell with Emma last year," she sighed, "she's finally in a good place. I just didn't want Sean to come in and mess it all up for her."

"My brother screws up a lot," Serenity breathed a laugh, "but I can promise you that he won't screw this up. He's loved her since the day they met."

Even Manny couldn't deny it; she always knew how much Emma meant to him.

"I hope you're right." She smiled and walked away as Sean approached the car.

"Did she tell you the news?" He grinned, tossing his backpack into the backseat.

"She did... Have you talked to Emma about what that means for you two?"

"She agreed to have lunch with me tomorrow to sort it all out." He said, as he pulled the car out of its spot.

Unfortunately, though, lunch with Emma at Degrassi the next day wouldn't come for Sean.

"Good morning, Serenity," J.T. shared a goofy smile, "how's Degrassi treating you so far?"

"Everyone here is really great," she shared his enthusiasm, even though she wasn't much of a morning person, "I like it here better than Wasaga."

"I'm glad to hear that," his smile turned genuine, "what are you doing at lunch?"

As he asked her the question, Sean and the principal of Degrassi came storming past the pair.

"There's nothing in there, Ms. H," he pleaded, "you have to believe me."

"I'm just following up on a tip." She replied flatly, ordering Sean to open his locker up for an inspection.

Serenity watched the whole situation unfold from down the hall where her locker was located. She took a few steps toward them to get a closer look at the contents of the bag she had retrieved from Sean's locker.

"That's not mine." He said firmly, a sense of desperation in his voice.

"The evidence speaks for itself."

Serenity watched as Sean was dragged past her and to the office. He flashed his sister a defeated glance. She couldn't believe her eyes; she knew the drugs couldn't be his. A tear rolled down her face as J.T. stepped up and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, to which she turned around and hugged him tightly. He was taken aback at first, but eventually reciprocated. They stood there for a few moments, until the bell rang to officially start the first period. He let her go, and used his thumb to wipe a tear from her face.

"Hey, look at me," he said softly, "Sean's a tough guy, he can handle himself. It'll all be okay. He'll be okay; you'll be okay."

She nodded, unable to respond with words without breaking down.

"Can I walk you to class?"

She nodded once more, to which he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and led her in the right direction. On their way to Armstrong's class, Sean emerged from Ms. H's office, and barrelled past them. It appeared Emma had been waiting for him in the office, too, as she chased after him closely. J.T. and Serenity looked at one another, until he cautiously nodded, silently agreeing that she should go check on him.

"Did you tell Peter about us?" Serenity heard Sean call to Emma as she opened the door.

"Yes, but..."

Sean interrupted her, climbing the stairs to close the distance between the two of them, "he did this! He planted those drugs in my locker."

Emma proceeded to accuse Sean of lying and trying to cover his tracks. Many of the words she spewed went unheard by Serenity, who was in disbelief by Emma's naivety.

"Well, you did get me those really expensive earrings..."

Sean had finally heard enough, and said, "you think I actually sell drugs?"

As she continued to accuse him, he grew closer and closer to Emma the angrier he got. Although she knew he wouldn't put his hands on her, Serenity stepped in and grabbed his upper arm.

"Lets get out of here." She ordered, trying to pull her brother back down the steps.

"You know what, Emma? Go to hell!"

"Sean!" Serenity shouted at her brother, yanking his arm harder until he turned away and followed her to his car.

As much as she hated Emma currently for all the false accusations she was making, she knew Sean didn't mean a word he was saying. By the next morning, he'd regret everything.

"You need to calm down and tell me what happened." She demanded, practically tossing her brother into the passenger seat. She figured he wasn't suitable to drive, so she dug for the keys in his pocket and took it upon herself to be the driver.

He clenched his jaw causing the muscles in his temple to pulse. It took a moment for him to regulate his breathing in order to explain the situation.

"I'm suspended indefinitely," he dropped his head upon hearing the words, "After Emma told Peter about our kiss, he planted weed in my locker and made an anonymous tip."

Serenity, who was a naturally calm and collected person, felt her blood begin to boil. She was still a Cameron, after all; notorious for being quick to anger and acting on it irrationally.

"Stay here, I'll be right back."

Serenity headed back into the school with purpose. She ignored the few teachers' prodding on why she wasn't in class, and whether she had a hall pass. There was only 15 minutes left of first period, and she knew exactly where the weasel she was looking for would be after the bell. She leaned against the locker next to Peter's and waited. When the bell rang, she felt her palms grow sweaty and her heart practically pound out her chest. The sensation worsened as the blond turned the corner. She swore he turned as white as a ghost the moment he saw her. He tried to play it cool as he approached his locker. Once close enough, Serenity grabbed the collar of his shirt and threw him into the lockers.

"I know you planted it." She spat, pushing him even harder into the lockers.

He snickered, "And what are you gonna do about it?"

She pulled him away and slammed him against the metal doors once again, "I'm going to make sure Emma knows the truth; that you're nothing but slime."

"You know, you're just as psycho as your brother."

She leaned forward to whisper into his left ear, "oh, I'm even crazier."

Serenity pulled him away, then slammed him backwards once more. As she stormed off, she ran into Emma, who was seemingly headed in Peter's direction. She stopped at the sight of Serenity. Emma opened her mouth to say something, but judging by the look on her face, she opted not to. Emma watched as the girl left through the front doors. She didn't stop until she reached the driver's seat of her brother's car. Sean's head still hung as he tried to hide the tears that fell down his face.

"Oh, Sean-y," she said sympathetically, placing a hand in his shoulder, "it wasn't supposed to be this way."

It broke her heart to see her rough and tough older brother, crumbling at the hands of some insecure little boy.

"You were supposed to be the first Cameron to graduate."

He looked up at his sister, "looks like its up to you now, Ren."
