Prompt: "You scared me!"

"Well, I am naturally terrifying."

There were many things that had happened in her life that Prudence "Pru" Beck didn't fully understand. How she came to be a part of the Leverage team really was not one of them. There were still times where she wished she had just said no to Alec when he had asked her to meet him in LA almost a year ago now. But, overall, she had actually enjoyed what she was doing.

Well, other than what she was doing at that moment. Pru sighed as she signed yet another piece of paper and flipped it over. It always seemed that, whenever she mentioned expense reports to the two members of the team that needed to actually complete them, Nate and Alec both came up with excuses so that they would not have to do them. Rolling her eyes, Pru began to read through the next report; why Sophie thought that she could write off more shoes was beyond her, but Pru still had to read through it all.

"What is it with women and shoes?"

Pru's eyes went wide as she jumped slightly at the voice that cut through her concentration. Turning to her right, she saw Parker standing there, head cocked to the side in the manner that she adopted when she didn't quite understand something. "Parker!"

"What?"

"You scared me!"

"Well, I am naturally terrifying. Are you going to answer my question or not?"

Pru inhaled before she put down her pen on her desk and turned to face the thief completely. "Parker, I was a little distracted by the fact that you snuck up and scared the bejesus out of me. So, what was your question again?"

Parker bounced around to the front of Pru's desk, causing Pru to roll her eyes and turn to face the thief. "Oh, it was nothing too important. Do you know where everyone else is?"

Pru scoffed. "Sophie is out shopping somewhere. Eliot is probably out getting food or something. And Nate and Alec are finishing up gathering information for that job that they were talking about the other day. I think that they are in the tech room if you want to join them."

As Parker bounced away, Pru groaned and dropped her head down onto her desk. This was going to be a long day.
