Chapter Four

Notes: Sorry for posting late, but got Bridgerton season 3 part two comaland

But after processing it I am back with a new chapter as the Bridgerton plan of wooing Daniel is in motion in this chapter but a bit of a hitch thanks for reading and stay tuned for more.

Betty paces back and forth waiting for Daniel at The London eye. She needs his guidance, his support and his understanding of the truth from him. She was full of nerves in how to express what she was feeling right now to her best friend and former boss Daniel as she reflected back on an hour earlier.

An hour earlier

Betty hears the alarm on her phone that breaks her from her working spell. She almost startles knocking her knees on her as almost stops knocking a small vase of roses but it knocks the note on the floor which she doesn't notice. The twelve roses are beautiful, one of single color red, dark and light pink, coral, purple, white, yellow, green , blue, burdney, cream and orange. Betty's mind was spinning as she wondered who would send her such flowers.

She calls out for Aynsely, she enters, eyeing her boss and smirking at flowers trying not to look obvious. Aynsely had a job to do to ensure that Daniel get her chance in making her boss happy,

"Yes, Boss," Aynsely nods to flowers, and proceeds to say, " Oh I see you got Flowers."

"Yes, who sent them?"

Aynsley, confused as to why she asked that for she thought Daniel left a note, with the flowers so she asked Betty,

"Was there a note?"

"A note?," Betty looked unaware she had kicked the note under her dress as she looked for the note."No, note, Aynsely."

This is not good, something is wrong, Aynsely thought as she was thinking of what to ensure Daniel was known as the admirer of Betty's affections, gosh she was feeling as if she living modern day Colin and Pen fanfiction, so she decides to say,

"Well, maybe you should ask Daniel, he was here when they were delivered."

"Daniel, was here, when, what? Aynsley."

"Boss, You were well lost in your work, He saw you, wanted to surprise you, and you barely,"

"Barley gave the time of day," Betty felt overwhelmed by the amount of guilt as she thought out loud.

"I am the world's worst best friend."

Aynsely sighs, "No you are not, just give Daniel call let him know you care, if he cares i like think he will forgive you."

Aynsely was right as Betty. He will forgive because he cares about me, Betty thinks as she sits by the bench in front of the London eye waiting for Daniel.

Daniel making his way slowly to the London Eye, his mind breezing with thoughts of what Betty needed so much for maybe. This was our moment, We almost had a moment once, it was a year ago, if only I was more braver than.

One year ago

Daniel straightened himself up trying to look his best for his dinner date with Betty. He took a lept in his fresh new start of his life in travel across the world to start again by asking Betty out to Dinner. And he glowed when she said, yes, her beaming with delight made him eliated. Now here he was waiting for her to show.

To ease Daniel's nerves he was to take a sip of water when he almost dribbled most of it, for Betty arrived, she was wearing the most beautiful silk red gown that exposed her body beaming in a glow of brown skin, which he wished he could touch in some way. Being a gentleman, Daniel composes himself standing straight not sure what to do to reach for a hug or handshake maybe yes. Daniel taking the risk,

That was one of the moments I wish could have changed then but now I am going to change it. For my best friend deserves to know the truth of my feelings,

Daniel thinks to himself as Betty notices him as they were face to face. Not sure about to who should speak first as Daniel and Betty decide to speak the same time,

"I'm sorry" Betty says, "I love you." Daniel says big ben starts to toll

Both of them in shock as both they say, "What!?" as the big ben bell rang
