GT: And now the Journey begins!
Roll slept peacefully in her bed. The NetNavi would go on record (if anyone would interview her about her experiences in Paldea) that being 'human' was amazing. The food alone was worth it…though, she'd admit that the end of the digestive process was not something she enjoyed…especially when overly spicy food was involved (thank you so very much for that, Maylu of this universe…NOT!). Being a student was harder than she thought since a lot of subjects were honestly too easy for her thought process while others were quite hard to handle. Her favorites had to be Art and Gym, the latter because she felt like she was actually getting something more than a light jog and the former because it was something she had experience with. When her Maylu tended to practice with her piano, she tended to spend the time (after doing a virus check) using an art program and just…doodle. Sometimes it was simple doodles like flowers and things she saw in the Network. Others tended to be more detailed and took the entire piano lesson to do just one. She had gotten to know a bit about all the faculty during her three months in Paldea's Uva Academy and got along well with the nurse the most. If she were a human, she'd want to be a nurse just like her.
Tango purred in his sleep, his curled up form rising and falling in time with Roll's breathing, as he slept on her. Netto mumbled as he buried himself deeper into Roll beneath the covers while Data was in a sort of sleep mode on the carpet in the room while Dexter was on a charger, her eyes shut and the screen showing several Zs fluttering about. Mew, meanwhile, slept in midair, surrounded in a pink bubble.
"It's TIIIME!"
*SLAM!*
"GAH/SPRI/PAW/AGI?!" several screams went off before the trio on the bed fell off, tangled up in the sheets.
"Agias…" Data whined as he looked at the excited Nemona running inside.
"I've been waiting FOREVER for this! C'mon, let's go out to the schoolyard!" Nemona cheered, "We gotta go to the schoolyard! Director's orders!" A pillow smacked her in the face, "PFFT!" she pulled it off to see an unamused Data who was pointing at the scrambling pile of blankets by him, "...Oops…"
"Oh come on…" Nemona looked to see Maylu enter, "Seriously, Nemona?"
"S-Sorry…" Nemona sheepishly apologized.
Maylu rolled her eyes as Data returned to his ball. Mew, invisible to the naked eye at the moment, went out the open window and hid to go into a giggle fit.
Roll couldn't hold back the yawn that escaped her mouth, an annoyed Tango on her shoulder. She stood beside her body's twin sister as they looked at a stage built in front of the school. Maylu gave a sheepish Nemona a sharp glare that Tango (translated by Dexter later on) would say was trying to use V-Create on the girl. Everyone looked to see Director Clavell making his way to the stage and soon got on it. He looked around, adjusted his glasses, and smiled at them all.
"Excellent. It seems everyone is here. Well then, it's time that I explained your independent study assignment. As usual, the theme will be 'A Treasure Hunt!'" Clavell declared, spreading his arms out to the students, "I ask each of you to set out and travel the world in search of your own treasure. You have all learned much within the walls of our fine academy... But now it is time to turn your eyes upon the wider world and deepen your understanding. Explore Paldea's abundant nature, soak in its rich culture...discover the Pokémon that live here...and get to know the people, too." he looked around at them all, an encouraging expression on his face, "Where will you travel? Who will you meet? And what will you achieve?" he chuckled when Tango let out a sneeze, making Roll blush as he focused on her for a moment, "Of course, your Pokémon partners will be there to help you." he looked out to everyone, adjusting his glasses, "You will journey together...learn new things together...share each other's thoughts and feelings...and find something you might always treasure! I look forward to welcoming you all back after your independent study...when you return to us as fine young Trainers! Let the Treasure Hunt begin! Onward!"
Almost everyone let out loud cheers and applause for his speech and for the director himself in most cases. Behind a tree in the far back, Penny looked out at the man in confusion, while Arven pulled out his violet-colored book once more, looking at a page within with a determined look on his visible eye.
"Take care, everyone! And remember—the Great Crater of Paldea is exceedingly dangerous! Entering it is a violation of school rules!" Clavell gave a final warning.
"Ready for the hunt?" Maylu asked, looking at Roll.
"The thing I wanna hunt for is breakfast…" Roll mumbled.
"..." Maylu turned to Nemona with a flat look, "You forgot to grab breakfast before coming here?"
"W-Well she was still asleep and…" Nemona sheepishly began.
"Right…As Vice President of the Student Council, I hereby invoke the contract. After the Treasure Hunt, you're only allowed three Pokemon Battles a day."
"Aw man~!" Nemona whined, slumping in defeat.
"Roll! Roll! The Treasure Hunt—it's finally starting!" Nemona cheered outside the academy entrance after the blonde finally had her breakfast.
"Treasure hunt? What do you mean by that?" Roll asked.
"Yeah, fair question, since it's your first time! C'mon, let's walk and talk..." Nemona replied.
"Right," Roll nodded as she followed after her and Maylu.
"The Treasure Hunt is a huge part of the Uva Academy school year. The point isn't to get us all looking for some actually hidden treasure, necessarily…" Maylu explained, "We're more just making our own adventures to see what experiences Paldea's got to offer! You could try to beat Pokémon Gyms, you could help out people in need…"
"You could hunt for real capital-T treasure if you wanted, even! There's stuff we'd never learn sitting in a classroom, y'know? This is our chance to learn it!" Nemona cheered.
"Oh…" Roll nodded.
"Plus there's so many chances to battle, which is obviously perfect for me!"
"Of course," Roll giggled, rolling her eyes.
"You and me for sure gotta battle if we run into each other out there! Hope you're ready!" Nemona grinned eagerly before looking at Maylu, "Same to you, VP! I wanna see what else you've got up your sleeve!"
"Um…Can it wait?" Roll asked.
"Oh yeah—battling can wait. I meant to tell you..." Nemona spoke up, "Did you know your phone's map lets you set yourself destinations? You could try setting one of the Gyms as your destination! That'd get you on your way easy!"
"And if she doesn't want to do the Gyms?" Maylu asked.
"Uh…"
"Tch! How's that for a student council president! Giving your own friends an insider advantage?" the three looked to see Arven walking up.
"Ay! A-Arven?!" Nemona gawked.
"Hi, Arven," Roll greeted.
"Hey, Roll," Arven returned the greeting.
"Hey! Hold on! Insider advantage? Sheesh, you make it sound like we're cheating or something!" Nemona fumed, "All I did was suggest that she check out the gyms. It's up to Roll whether she goes."
"Roll's gonna have her hands full searching out Titan Pokémon with me. She doesn't have time to waste on something like chasing after the Champion Rank," Arven spoke, "Me and her are gonna be too busy visiting the lairs of Titans and nabbing their Herba Mystica!"
"En serio? Don't go filling her head with weird stories!" Nemona demanded.
"...Why am I not surprised you'd also look for those?" Maylu asked, looking at Roll with a flat look.
"Um…" Roll played with a lock of her hair.
"Hey! All I did was invite her along. It's still up to Roll whether she goes, right?"
"Grr!" the 'twins' looked at the two butting heads an glaring at one another.
"Ro-to-to-to-to…!" everyone paused and looked at Dexter as she popped out of Roll's pocket.
"Hm? Roll, your phone's ringing," Nemona pointed out.
"GAH! Not again~!" Dexter panicked, "Must…fight off…the ha-KRRZT!" she went offline for a moment before turning back on, showing 'AUDIO ONLY' once again =Hey, Roll. Cassiopeia here=
"Again?" Roll frowned.
=It's about Operation Starfall. Remember what I told you before? Team Star is made up of five individual squads. And each one's got their own base. I need you to go to each base—all five of 'em—and beat the squad boss there. Team Star's grunts might try to get in your way, but I'll be helping you out...from a distance. And heads-up that the bosses each specialize in a different Pokémon type. Just remember the names of their crews, and you'll figure it out. Still, no need to worry. With your skills, I'm sure you're more than up to the task. I'll just go ahead and add the bases' locations to your phone for you=
'And again with the locations on my map…' Roll thought with a drop of sweat going down the side of her head.
=Good luck with those bosses. I'll hook you up with some nice rewards every time you beat one=
"Huh? Rewards?" Roll pondered, 'Like what Megaman and Lan have gotten from doing those Request Board things?'
"Wait one second! Who are you supposed to be?! And Team Star—those punks are a serious hazard! They're not Roll's problem!" Nemona demanded.
"That's right! Because she's got more important things to do, like searching out awesome ingredients with me!" Arven added.
=I thought it was up to Roll to decide whether she goes or not... Wasn't that what you said, Nemona? And Arven?=
"How do you know my—?"
=I'm looking forward to seeing what you can pull off, Roll. Bye= Cassiopeia spoke before hanging up.
"BWAH! YOU NO-GOOD ROTTEN HACKER! I SWEAR, I'LL HACK YOU BACK THE MOMENT I CAN!" Dexter ranted once she got control back.
"Roll... I'm glad you're making plenty of friends here, but try not to get dragged into anything dangerous," Nemona warned with a flat look.
"S-Sorry…" Roll sheepishly apologized.
"What was that all about?" Arven asked.
"Anyway! No more weird vibes—we've got a big adventure to start! I'm gonna battle every single Pokémon Trainer I meet!" Nemona declared, pumping a fist, "If I just keep trying to become the strongest, I bet that experience will be the thing I treasure!" she pulled out her RotomPhone and tapped on it, "Guess I'll start by heading to a Gym and training up some new Pokémon! Here, I'll send you a pic of what the Gym buildings look like!" with that, she hit 'send,' causing Dexter's screen to change to show a large building with a PokeBall emblem on it, "Oh, and... I know we've been running our mouths, but it's your call what to do, Roll. Go where you want, and do what it is you really wanna do the most!"
Arven rubbed his chin in thought, "A treasure...of our very own... For me, that's got to be Ma— Er, my big dream of tracking down the Herba Mystica, that is!" he smiled at Roll, "Once we get those herbs, I'll make you the absoluuute best sandwich you've had in your life!"
"Agias?" Data pondered the moment he popped out of his ball, looking at Arven with a hint of excitement.
"Argh! What'd you come out for?" Arven demanded.
"Oh my gosh! Did it just come out 'cause you said "sandwich"? Hahaha!" Nemona cackled in mirth.
"Well he likes them," Roll replied, petting Data's head.
"Well, you're not getting one..." Arven huffed, looking away from Data with his arms crossed over his chest.
Maylu giggled as she began to pet Data on his head, "Hello, Data." she reached into her backpack and pulled out a simple PB&J, "Here you go."
"Agi~" Data trilled as he happily ate the offered sandwich before nuzzling her.
"You're welcome," Maylu assured before Data looked at Roll and began to hop a little in place.
"Gias! Gias!"
"It seems like it wants to start moving... Is it telling you to get on, Roll?" Nemona pondered.
"Really?" Roll asked.
"Yeah, he's wanting ya to get on him," Mew assured, the pink cat currently invisible.
"Well…okay," Roll complied.
She walked up to Data, who crouched down and let Roll get onto him. His hind legs folding into themselves, becoming a pair of thrusters. His tail rolled up and attached to itself to become a back wheel as his neck extended out, becoming a third wheel. The curved spikes on his shoulders became a pair of handles as his front legs folded in on themselves and his talons 'grasped' the front wheel of his new form.
"Whoa, it transformed! Now it REALLY looks like some kinda weird Cyclizar! Long as you've got Data the Miraidon, you can go pretty much anywhere. Paldea's your Cloyster!" Nemona cheered.
"I'm glad he's feeling well enough to do this," Maylu complimented, petting Data's head once more.
"An-giaaah!"
"Hmph... Yeah? Maybe," Arven snorted before he turned to the east gate of Paldea, "Well, if you're going to search for those Titan Pokémon, I'd say set out from the east gate!"
"But since Roll is ACTUALLY headed to take on some Gyms, I'd say go for the west gate!" Nemona glowered at Arven before smiling at Roll, "Besides, it's way too easy to get lost out east!"
"Tch! Man, this is why I can't get along with you…" Arven growled before he ran off, "I'm out of here! Catch up soon, little buddy!"
"I'll head to a Gym. See you around, Roll!" Nemona cheered as she ran to the west exit.
"Nemona…" Maylu groaned, "I know you've been here for a while, but I'm still really sorry for her."
"It's okay, she's just excitable," Roll assured.
"Still…What are you planning to do, Sis?" Maylu asked, "I don't trust that Cassiopeia who hacked Dexter."
"You and me both!" Dexter fumed.
"I…don't know," Roll replied, looking troubled, "...Maybe…all three?"
"Huh?!" Maylu gawked.
"You want me to prove to you that I'm good enough to handle Area Zero, right?" Roll asked, "Then what if I do all three requests? The Gyms, the Herba Mystica, and Operation Starfall?"
"Roll, what are you saying?!" Maylu gawked, "This isn't…I wasn't…"
"Maylu, I'm doing all three," Roll stated with a determined look…before having Data turn to the academy and began to go up the stairs.
"Where are you going?!"
"Buying a lot of sandwiches from the cafeteria!" Roll replied.
"Oh Roll…" Maylu groaned, facepalming.
"What do you think we should do, guys?" Roll asked, looking at the map with her Pokemon as they sat outside the academy with the blonde in her original outfit she arrived to Paldea in.
"Spr…" Tango purred as he climbed onto her shoulder to get a better look at it, Netto on the other.
"...Maybe we can make a route to do all of them," Roll noted, earning a smile from Data, "Okay! Mmm…Looks like each one has a star from one to five for Cassiopeia and Arven while Nemona put them from one through eight stars. I'm guessing the higher the number, the harder it is." Data shrugged, "...Okay! How about this then?" she pulled out the stylus and began to draw a long line all over the map, connecting each image and star to one another, "How about this route?"
"Oh~I like it!" Mew complimented, invisible and sitting on her head, "It looks like Litlte Brother Rayquaza when he gets all big and longer and shiny before smacking Little Brother Groudon and Little Sister Kyogre when they get all big and landshaping."
"Okay!" Roll pumped a fist, "So this is our order: Cortondo Gym, the Stony Cliff Titan, Artazon Gym, the Open Sky Titan, Team Star Dark Crew, Levincia Gym, Team Star Fire Crew, the Lurking Steel Titan, Cascarrafa Gym, Team Star Poison Crew, Medali Gym, Montenevera Gym, the Quaking Earth Titan, Alfornada Gym, Glaseado Gym, Team Star Fairy Crew, the False Dragon Titan, and finish it all up with the Team Star Fighting Crew."
Data chirped as his tail moved, making a swirl around the entire Region.
Roll shook her head, "I'd like to go in a big spiral, but doing this will let us see all of Paldea at once." she looked out at the city, "Mega…He's out there somewhere and I need to find him."
"Riga," Tango nodded.
"Onwards!" Mew cheered, "...Can I have a Moomoo milk first, please?"
Roll rolled her eyes as she pulled out the requested bottle and a sandwich for Data, "Okay, so first is West." after she fed Data, she got on his back and returned her team before driving off to the west gate, 'Here we go…'
"Ro-to-to-to-to~"
"It's not Cassiopeia again, is it?" Roll asked.
"No. Nemona," Dexter replied before her screen changed to show Nemona =Hey! It's me, Nemona!=
"Hi there," Roll greeted.
=We should call and catch each other up on how things are going from now on!=
"Good idea," Roll agreed.
=You decided to set out heading west from the school, right, Roll?=
"Yes, that's right," Roll confirmed.
=Starting from there, you'll be pretty close to Cortondo. That's where you'll find the Bug-type Gym! You can go take on the Gym Leader if you want! I'm sure you can beat her, Roll!= Nemona cheered, pumping a fist before a blast of flames went behind her =Good luck! I'll call ya soon! Quaxly, Water Gun!=
"Of course she'd call in the middle of a battle," Roll giggled as Dexter hung up for her, "Okay…Ride like the wind, Data!"
"AGI!" Data roared as he proceeded through the gate…before skidding to a halt on seeing Maylu sitting at a picnic table a few yards away, "Gias?"
"Maylu?" Roll pondered.
"I had a feeling you'd start off going west," Maylu noted as Data drove over and shifted to his quadrupedal state to let Roll off.
"Are you wanting to come with us?" Roll asked.
"Nope. I'm using this time to help Lan with what needs to be done here in Paldea to get that permission to get into Area Zero," Maylu replied, "But…when you decide to go for Team Star, call me, alright? I have some questions for them that need answering."
"Um…sure," Roll replied before a pillar of sparkling light shot up into the sky in the distance, "Oh!"
"Well now…Looks like a Tera Raid Den just emerged," Maylu recognized it.
"Tera Raid Den?" Roll repeated, tilting her head.
"Yeah," Maylu nodded, "Data, is it okay if I ride with Roll on you to go there?"
"Agias," Data chirped happily, nodding in agreement.
"Whoa~!" Roll awed as Data stopped before a large crystalline structure looking as blue as the sky.
"Oh nice! It's a Flying Tera Raid Den!" Maylu beamed before seeing two other students running over, "Hey~!"
"Oye!" one of them greeted, "We saw the light go up!"
"Ready for a Tera Raid Battle?" the other asked.
"Scan it, Caskette," Maylu ordered.
"You betcha, sugah!" Caskette replied with a wink before she moved around it and flew back to her, displaying a shadowed image of a quadrupedal tiny critter with a single star under it, "One Star."
"Oh, I have this one back home," one of the two noted.
The other shook their head, "Yeah, not interested in catching it myself either."
"Good to hear," Maylu smiled, "Because this was one of the ones Roll's told me she's always wanted to catch."
'Huh?' Roll pondered, "R-Right. But um…what's going on?"
"Ready a Pokemon because the moment you send a single one out, the energies of the den will lock all your other PokeBalls," Maylu advised, "Everyone, we're off to a Raid!"
"WHOO!" the two others cheered.
"Wait, what's going on?!" Roll asked.
"A Tera Raid Battle is a battle with four others to defeat a Terastalized Pokemon that was ensnared within," Maylu explained, "We only have a certain amount of time before the Pokemon inside of it overloads on Tera energy and unleashes a big blast of it that sends everyone out and shattered the whole thing. But if we beat it, it's a guaranteed catch for any kind of PokeBall or we let it go back out into the wilds."
"O-Oh!" Roll gasped.
"This is a good time to practice with a Drifloon I recently caught, too," Maylu noted.
"I've got my Skwovette!" one called.
"And my Kriketune is at the ready!" the other grinned as she held up a green and brown topped PokeBall.
"Um…" Roll looked at Data and returned him to his ball before looking at the other three on her belt.
"Will I get to see Number Three at last?" Maylu asked.
"...No, not yet," Roll replied as she grabbed Netto's PokeBall, "I'll use Netto. Flying-type attacks take twice the damage from Electric-type Moves."
"Aw phooey. I swear, I will see that Pokemon one day, sis," Maylu mock pouted before grabbing her wrist, "Let's go, everyone!"
The two cheered before all four ran inside. A bright light greeted them all, forcing Roll to close her eyes and even hold up her free arm to block it. Roll slowly opened her eyes as the light began to die down to a manageable level of sight. With a gasp, she looked around to see a massive chamber made of the crystal all reflecting a small deer-like Pokemon with cream and pink fur. She looked ahead and her eyes widened, seeing the Pokemon before them, crystallized and sporting a crystal hat made to resemble a set of balloons on strings. It let out a cry at them, shaking the place. All four looked at one another and threw their Pokemon out. Netto landed between a Skwovette and a semi-tall red cricket-like Pokemon with 'blades' of lower arms and a massive black mustache. Opposite the Skwovette was a purple balloon Pokemon with a wisp of white 'clouds' on the top of its form and two black 'strings' ending in yellow hands.
"Yes! It's a Spring Form Deerling!" Maylu cheered.
"Nuzzle!" Roll started them off.
Netto prepared to attack when the Deerling was before him, delivering two strong kicks that sent him tumbling back, "Paw~!" he shook his head before the deer-like Pokemon was struck with a Pound from Drifloon and a Fury Cutter from the Kricketune, "MI!" his cheek sparked as he jumped and landed on Deerling's back before rapidly nuzzling it, causing the Deerling to cry out as it was paralyzed by the shocks, "Pawmi!"
"Charge!" Roll called out, "Then Thundershock!"
Netto gruned as the Deerling got through it to give him a Double Kick. Another Fury Cutter from Kricketune was followed up by Skwovet rolling into a ball and ramming into Deerling.
"HEAL UP!"
"Huh?!" Roll gawked as the four Pokemon glowed green and healed up before Netto was hit with a Headbutt.
"One more Thunder Shock!" Roll called out.
"Paw-MI~!" Netto shouted as he let loose his strongest shock he could.
Deerling stumbled back before going for a Double Kick again only to lock up. Kricketune slammed into Deerling with an Aerial Ace at the same time the rolling Skwovet rammed into it from the other side, causing its body to shine and shatter the Terastalization. Roll blinked a few times on seeing how Deerling had become dazed and was stumbling.
"Roll, hurry!" Maylu called out.
"Right! Um…" Roll looked at her pack and pulled out a pink and cream PokeBall, the cream making a 'heart' in it, "Oh, this looks cute."
She held up the ball, unaware of it starting to glow. She reeled back before throwing it at Deerling. Tera energy gathered around it before encasing the ball in crystals, surprising Roll. The ball opened and sucked up Deerling before the crystals shattered. It fell to the ground, shook once…and clicked, signifying the capture. The three others cheered for Roll as the Raid Den shined before shattering into small shards…before items rained down on them.
"Huh?!" Roll gawked, looking around, "Wh-What just…? Huh?!"
Maylu giggled, "Surprised?" she sent out Dashenge, who swiftly grabbed everything and divided it up between all four of them, "When a Raid Den shatters, objects that had been around it are released along with creating Experience Candy and even Tera Shards that a shop in Medali can use to change a Pokemon's Tera-Type."
"R-Really?" Roll asked as she accepted the bundle of four 'pyramids' that were small and really small, Deerling Hair, a silver feather with a red inside, two Oran berries, and even a pair of silver pearls.
"Yep!" Maylu smiled as the two waved to the girls before they left to go on their Treasure Hunts, "So…you gonna name this Pokemon like you did the others?"
"This Deerling is in its Spring Form and is a female if that helps," Dexter informed, scanning the Pokemon inside of the ball, "Deerling, the Season Pokemon. If Deerling senses animosity, it will hide in tall grass. It moves in herds, as it is timid around humans. Despite this, Deerling does whatever it wants, even around humans. Deerling will take a liking towards anyone who feeds it. It will playfully headbutt anyone it likes, even if headbutts are a little painful. It dwells in sparsely populated areas, away from humans. It is herbivorous. Despite their innocent and adorable appearance, Deerling are considered pests by farmers, as they tend to eat all of their plant shoots. Because of this, and because Lycanroc is a natural enemy of Deerling, farmers often use Lycanroc to guard their fields from Deerling."
"Here's a picture of its evolved form, Sawsbuck," Maylu offered, Caskette showing an image of a larger deer with tree branches for antlers with cherry blossoms blooming on them.
"Oh~" Roll awed before looking at her PokeBall, "Mmm…Got it. Cherry."
"Cherry?"
"For the blossoms when she evolves," Roll replied before Dexter showed Cherry's stats, "She was Level 12 and has Chlorophyll as her Ability."
"Nice that she's got the Flying Tera-type," Maylu noted, "With that, she's probably your best bet with the first Gym and it's Bug-types. And good call on catching her in the Heal Ball."
"The what?" Roll asked.
"A Heal Ball is a PokeBall that fully heals the Pokemon that it's used to catch," Maylu explained.
"Oh. I didn't know that. I won a raffle yesterday and thought they were all just recolors of PokeBalls," Roll noted.
"Lemme see," Maylu ordered as Roll showed her, "Hmm…Looks like you got some Net Balls, Dive Balls, Dusk Balls, Timer Balls, Quick Balls, Luxury Balls, and just that one Heal Ball. W-Wait a second…" she pulled out a purple PokeBall, "Roll, this is a Master Ball."
"A what?"
"This is an extremely rare PokeBall," Maylu explained, "Whatever you do, do not use this on just any Pokemon, got it? Only something that is really important needs to be caught in this, like a Legendary or something like that." she put it back and gave her back the pack, "Okay…I need to get going to work on my part of getting things ready for Area Zero. Remember to call me and I'll fly on Shaze to get here."
"Shaze?" Roll repeated before Maylu tossed out a PokeBall…and a large orange dragon with a cream underbelly and navy blue inside of its wings came out, "ACK!"
"Rrrr…" the dragon growled, a flame roaring on the tip of its tail.
"This is Shaze, my Charizard," Maylu introduced, "Shaze, this is my sister, Roll. You remember that I told you about her, right?"
Shaze growled again before sniffing at Roll…and licked her, "Pfft!"
"He likes ya!" Maylu giggled as she got onto Shaze, "Okay, I'll see ya, sis!"
With that, Shaze spread his wings and took flight, leaving behind Roll. A few moments passed before Mew popped into visibility.
"That looks like so much fun!" Mew beamed, "I wanna try one next time!"
"Mew…" Roll sighed before looking out to the distance, "...We've got a long road ahead, don't we?"
"Indeed. Even on Data, it will take us a day to get to the first Gym," Dexter replied, showing her map, "Given our path, it will take us approximately one month to do everything at Data's current known speed."
"That just means getting a lot more ready for fixing the boo-boo and finding Megaman!" Mew cheered before seeing a flock of tiny red and gray birds, "Oh! Fletchling! Come here, you stinkers! Poo on me when I was about to eat frozen moo moo milk that humans said was a creamy ice, will you?!"
Roll felt a drop of sweat go down the back of her head as she returned Netto and got on Data's back, 'A month…Please be safe, Mega.'
As Mew attacked the birds, she managed to hide that she had heard Roll's thoughts, 'He's not safe. Not now and not back then. I'm so sorry, Roll…'
GT: Working well on this. Have the battles all scripted…because I played Violet on a second account on my Switch to make this accurate. Also, did anyone know that making a second account on a Switch gives you access to the DLC of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games on that second account if you have them on your primary one?
Also, you may have noticed her path. She is going on the Hardcore Nuzlocke route, but she is NOT IN A NUZLOCKE! She's just going on that route and is going to stay on a level cap for each one. I thought it'd make things more fun for the readers when I turn the battles from game to written word.
Wasn't going to do Raid Dens, but this Deerling one showed up outta nowhere and I couldn't resist after looking at Sawsbuck for this Forme of Deerling.
