Amy
Chapter 2
Amy's school was made up of three buildings, the lower grades building, the higher grades building and the gym. There was also a cafeteria but Amy sat in the library during lunch to avoid, well people.
Amy and Lisa's class was in the higher grades building and Lisa insisted on chatting the whole way there.
"I used to live in Kansas, but we moved because my dad got a new job. Hey have you lived anywhere else?" Lisa asked
"Uhhh, no..." lied Amy. She used to live in San Diego which was when Sophie still lived with them. She then had moved to somewhere in Oregon if Amy remembered correctly. She had lived their for such a short period of time she didn't remember much. However if she was being honest she had ignored that part of her life because she hated forgetting all about her sister.
"Um, Bella," Lisa said bringing Amy back to reality.
"oh sorry, I just have a lot on my mind," Amy said just before they got to class.
"Welcome Lisa!" Said Amy's teacher as they walked in. She told Amy to take a seat as she introduced Lisa.
"Lisa can you take a seat next to Bella, she will help you and show you how we run things around here ok?"
Lisa nodded and came to sit next to Amy.
Mrs Kinsly told the class that they would be working on their history projects and to get into their group. Amy and asked to work with Saya who was never here so she could work alone but if her prediction was right she would be working with Lisa.
She was correct.
Amy explained to Lisa they topic and assignment and they set to work. By then Amy figured Lisa got the whole we don't talk thing but by lunch it was back to chatterbox.
"hey! Want to sit together?" Asked Lisa and Amy could hardly say no.
Lisa was actually super quiet for the first couple minutes of lunch but Amy couldn't stand any more silence so she said, "You lived in Kansas? Like in the Wizard of Oz?"
"OMG I love that movie!"
"No way me too!"
"Do you like Alice in Wonderland?" Asked Lisa
"Yes! I love all of the classics!"
"Oh! I actually think my favorite character is the sister for some reason. Do you have any siblings,"
"Actually I have a sister named Sophie," Amy said reflexively. She knew she shouldn't have said that but she couldn't take it back now. It also felt kind of good to tell someone a secret and they didn't even know it was.a secret anyway so what harm would it do.
"Cool," said lisa , "I've always wanted a sister" replied Lisa.
They talked for a long time about so many random things that the bell rang and Amy hadn't eaten anything.
"Well it was nice getting to know you Bella!" Said Lisa as they walked back to class
"You too," said Amy who had the feeling she finally made a friend.
