Chapter 16

As Dr. Janet Frasier took on her undercover assignment as the substitute science teacher, Jon and Cassie both had gone to Mr. Hinckley's special class. Jon led Cassie into the classroom. He paused before the teacher's desk and looked over the faces. His brown eyes settled on sixteen year old Janet. A grin crept across his face. She was simply an awkward teenager. This was his chance. He could mold her into a cool kid.

Cassie laid eyes on the teen who would grow up to adopt her later in life. She could not help but smile and wanted to give the girl a big hug and say thank you. She noticed Sam and Daniel sitting in the class, dressed as students as they continued to keep an eye on Mr. Hinkley and the suit.

Mr. Hinckley stood beside Jon and Cassie before the class. "Class! This is Jon and Cassie. They are two new students. They are enrolled as brother and sister. They know all about the suit and are here to help us."

Jon stated. "We're here to help you, Mr. H." He then strolled down the row and took a seat at the back of the class. He declared, "Since the kids in this class know the truth I am going to tell you right now that my last name is not really Frasier. That's for my cover. I'm Jon O'Neill."

Cassie took a seat right next to Janet. She gave a warm smile. "I can't tell you how cool this is."

Young Janet asked. "How do you know me? You are from the future too?"

"I'm your future adopted daughter." she told her. "You and Sam saved my life. You then adopted me and gave me a home when I lost my home world to the Goa'uld."

Tony stated. "The Go-whatever…are the snake things, right?"

Sam nodded, "Yes."

Ralph asked. "You think the Goa'uld could be behind the suit, Sam?"

She shook her head. "I doubt it. They don't have access to that level of technology." She then had to add. "Though, they would be diabolical enough to give an entire planet amnesia."

"True." Daniel had to agree.

Rhonda figured. "Cassie is from another planet." She looked to Jon. "You from another planet too?"

"No." he shook his head.

Sam debriefed. "Jon is a clone. He's a teenage version of Colonel O'Neill. He has all of the Colonel's knowledge and memories." She looked to Tony. "If you want a shot at a military career, you pay attention to him."

Tony looked at Jon. "Seriously!" He gasped. He looked to Sam. "He's a skinny little kid. I could beat him up."

"I would like to see you try." Jon told him amused.

"You are like half my weight." he insisted.

"I could take your ass to the ground in two moves." he informed.

Daniel warned. "He can and will do that, Tony. Jack is special forces. That means Jon is special forces."

"Like the Navy Seals?" Tony asked.

Jon nodded. "Same kind of training but for the Air Force. We're not all nerds like Carter."

"Hey!" she huffed at him.

Jon remarked. "Your brain is huge, Carter." He held his hands wide.

She smirked at him annoyed. "And you were so cute as a kid, sir."

His head rolled back as he hated being reminded that he is a teenager.

Rhonda agreed. "He is cute."

Tony rolled his eyes and shook his head. "He's what? Fifteen?"

"Body wise I'm about sixteen. Mentally…I'm fifty-five." Jon stated.

Karl asked. "Can we clone people? How come they cloned the Colonel?"

Sam informed. "We didn't do it. Loki of the Asgard did. You see the Asgard are a dying race as the result of cloning. The Asgard had lost the ability to reproduce. Thus, they turned to cloning. But cloning is not perfect and with each new round of clones there were imperfections. Over time the imperfections changed how the Asgard are physically. Today, they are about three feet tall, grayish and have large heads. Once they were more like us. Thor thought they found the genetic key to reverse the cloning defects in Colonel O'Neill's genetics. But Loki was impatient so he decided on his own to kidnap the Colonel and slip in a human clone. But there was an error in the cloning process and the clone stopped developing at around fifteen. He was supposed to have been an exact copy of the Colonel and would filled in as the Colonel while Loki did his research. But, since the error was obvious, we were able to figure out what Loki was up to, get the Colonel back and stabilize Jon so he would not…expire."

"Sorry I asked." Tony stated bewildered.

Karl suggested. "Tell us more about these Asgard. Thor, Loki. They are all in the comic books."

Daniel told him. "You will find a lot of comic books are based on ancient myths. The Asgard are a Norse mythology."

"Who?" Karl asked confused.

The teacher got an idea. "I think today's lesson will be on Norse Mythology."

Karl shook his head. "I don't care about that. I want to go meet these Asgard."

"In time, Karl." Daniel stated amused.

After School

Sam, Daniel, Jon, Cassie and older Janet all returned to the warehouse later that afternoon. They were met with the latest recruit, Colonel Steve Austin and his wife, Jamie Sommers.

Sam and Janet were both rather shocked by the advanced level of bionics that both subjects were gifted during the seventies. Neither was aware of the top secret program and wondered what else the government was hiding for them.

"We had an advanced bionics program in the seventies?" Sam gasped shocked.

Jack remained on hand for the briefing as he wanted to see the look on Sam's face when she met the bionic man. He cheered. "You should see what he did to the chair, Carter." He then motioned towards the damaged chair nearby.

She looked at the chair and then back at Steve and Jamie standing before her.

Janet added, "I really should have been made aware of this before."

"Me too!" Sam agreed.

Colonel Hammond stood by as well. He stated, "I'm sure there is a reason I didn't not disclose that to you prior. I just don't know what that reason is yet."

Steve suggested. "Maybe your hands were tied, George. I know if you could you would have told me about the Star Gate and asked me to join the program."

Jamie looked at her husband. "And you would have too."

He blushed. "Of course."

"Despite being retired." she figured.

"Well…" he had to admit. "It's not something I would turn down."

Sam looked at Hammond and stated. "In the future, can I have Colonel Austin leading SG-1?"

Jack perked up. "What? You want to replace me, Carter?"

She smirked back at him. "Occasionally, sir."

"Fine." he huffed back. "Thank I get Sommers." He motioned towards the bionic woman.

Jamie's eyes grew wide. "I'm not a solider."

Daniel stood back and listened. He chimed in. "Neither am I."

Jamie looked at him. "You are Dr. Jackson? I was told you speak twenty eight languages and are an archeologist."

He stepped forward. "I am."

"I'm a teacher. I would very interested in learning some of what you know." she told him.

He smiled brightly and glanced at Jack who rolled his eyes as Jamie was more of an intellectual and an educator. "I would be very pleased to teach you."

Steve looked to Hammond. "Will you be brining in Oscar for this?"

"I have asked him to come in and debrief Dr. Frasier and Dr. Quincy on the bionics." he reported.

"Good. We will need him." he agreed. He then looked at the mini gate off to the far wall. "I can wait to go through that ring." he admitted.

Jamie didn't look as enthused. She gave a sigh fearing they were getting in way over their heads. She was a good agent and could hold her own but this was different. Going to another planet was a different situation than what she was not use to.

Daniel noticed his Jamie was more reserved about going off world than Steve. He figured the next trip back, he would look them up and fine out what their futures would hold.
