Erin's POV
"Hey, sweetheart!"
Who the hell is calling me sweetheart? I thought.
I turned around and noticed three ugly-looking guys smirking at me. The shortest one had a creepy face and he was wearing a duel disk.
"What?" I inquired.
"Our buddy Bonz wants to duel you" the guy with the Australian accent replied nodding at the short kid.
"Unless you scared" Bonz taunted.
"Scared of you three? I beg to differ but if you want a duel fine by me"
Bonz chuckled and the two of us activated our duel disks. It was freaking cool how they set themselves up.
"FYI dude I only have one locator card up for grabs" I warned Bonz.
"Same here and I don't intend on losing"
Geez this little brat is annoying I thought.
"You go first after all ladies first"
I accepted going first and our life points lit up at 4,000. At the start of my turn, I drew a card and looked at my hand.
"Alright first I summon to the field Silverwing in attack mode"
The beautiful silver dragoness appeared next to me and I felt my eyes widen at seeing how detailed she was.
"Holy crap that's awesome" I muttered still admiring Silverwing. Silverwing's attack points were 1900 and her defense points were 1600. I ended my turn with two cards face down.
"Damn that's nice a looking dragon" the Australian complimented.
"My turn I bring out Zanki"
"You idiot her dragon is stronger than that!" the other guy protested.
Zanki appeared and Silverwing roared at seeing a monster with a sword. Bonz swore under his breath before placing a card of his face down. Again it was my turn and after drawing another card I brought out Dreamfyre. The blue and white colored dragoness appeared on my other side and her attack points were 1800 and her defense was 1600.
"Silverwing attack his Zanki now! Dracarys!"
Silverwing opened her mouth and unleashed her dragon fire on Zanki. The samurai got destroyed and causing Bonz 400 life points.
"Dreamfyre attack Bonz directly!"
Dreamfyre took flight and she used her tail to smack Bonz. My opponent's life points went down to 1,800.
"Bonz if you don't come up with something quick she's gonna win you moron!"
"Well aware!" Bonz snapped before he drew a card. He swore before summoning Crawling Dragon. Again another bad move but I had a feeling his face-down card wasn't good news. Bonz chose not to attack me and it was my turn again.
"This duel is over kid" I addressed Bonz. My opponent paled as I revealed the magic card Stamping Destruction.
"Oh snap!"
"Since I have two dragons face up on the field I can use this magic card to send anyone of yours to the graveyard"
Bonz's card was sent away and Bonz growled when 500 life points of damage were inflicted upon him.
"Dreamfyre get rid of his Crawling Dragon now!"
Dreamfyre obeyed and hissed out flames at Crawling Dragon.
"Go Silverwing! Finish this duel!"
Silverwing roared before using another round of dragon fire at Bonz and his life points went to zero.
"You idiot!"
Bonz's two friends each gave Bonz a shake while I simply sweat dropped.
"We're you really trying to use that same strategy from Duelist Kingdom?!"
"I'd thought it would work! I lost alright!"
Bonz sighed before turning to me. He held out his locator card and his rarest card. I accepted them and saw his rarest card was "Call of the Haunted". The three stooges then high-tailed it like bats out of hell.
That was weird
With one duel out of the way and with my second locator card, I decided to go and find Zane. I found my older brother finishing up a duel and he had his Moonstone Dragon wrap things up against his opponent. I watched from the side as Zane and his opponent shook hands and the card exchange happened. Then he was ambushed by a bunch of girls and I was laughing my ass off.
Serves my big brother right for teasing me about Kaiba earlier. Zane saw me and shot me a look and with a sigh I stepped in. I got the girl's attention by whistling loudly.
"Ladies I think I just saw Johnny Depp walking down the block"
Pirates of the Caribbean let out recently and the female population loved Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. My lie did the trick and the entire group of fan girls took off.
"Really? Johnny Depp sis? Why not Hayden Christensen?"
I punched him in the arm.
"How long did your duel last? Mine was only a few minutes"
"No shit? I don't know maybe a half-hour?"
He then looked at his duel disk.
"These things are badass"
"Damn straight they are, Kaiba exceeded my expectations for this tournament"
"Seto would appreciate you saying that"
Immediately Zane and I looked to see none other than Mokuba Kaiba smiling at us.
Oh my freaking god he's so damn adorable
Zane then slapped a hand to my mouth and I glared at him.
"Apologies about my sister's choice of words Mr. Kaiba"
I punched Zane on the head. Mokuba was doing his best not to laugh at the comic relief that was Zane and I.
"You swore too in front of him idiot" I growled before turning my attention back to Mokuba. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance"
"Likewise your Dad is my history teacher actually"
"Oh really?"
Now that was interesting. Who knew Mokuba was one of his students?
"And please call me Mokuba, your Zane, and Erin right?"
"Unfortunately" Zane mumbled while still rubbing where I smacked him.
"So what can we do for you Mokuba? I'm sure being the commissioner of this tournament takes up most of your time"
"Nothing really I just saw you guys and thought I'd come on over to say I really enjoy your Dad's lessons"
"He's always been a nerd of history"
"Our family are nerds" I corrected Zane sweat dropping. It was then I felt my face go blood red as Seto motherfreaking Kaiba joined his younger sibling. Saying he was hot was a damn understatement. He was sexy as hell!
Damn it! Now my heart was pounding like no tomorrow. The CEO of Kaiba Corp looked relieved.
"Whoever sent that group of girls chasing after a supposed sighting of Johnny Depp has my gratitude"
"That would be my sister"
Zane was smirking now and I glared daggers at him.
"It was a smart move I have to deal with those groups from time to time," Kaiba said and I realized he was talking to me. Hell, he was complimenting me.
"Uh thanks I actually did it because Zane was their target"
"Son of a"
I then slapped a hand onto his mouth so he wouldn't curse in front of Mokuba. Mokuba finally started laughing while his older brother wore an amused smirk.
"I was actually hoping to run into you Erin" Kaiba continued. I did my best to not blush even harder. Instead, I let go of Zane and arched an eyebrow in a questioning manner.
"What do you want with my sister?" Zane asked carefully.
"Relax it's just her card Silver's Cry I hope to win later on, there aren't a lot of those"
"Not unless someone gets it first"
Shit! Why did I say that?!
But instead of getting mad Kaiba chuckled and even that was sexy!
"The only duelist worthy of that card is me"
Zane sweat dropped and Mokuba face palmed.
"If I recall correctly dueling you is a privilege and is earned am I right?"
"Smart girl"
"Then I'll make it a reality to reach the finals and that should earn my duel with you, should you and I face one another Kaiba, and I lose Silver's Cry is yours for the taking"
"Did you really just challenge him?" Zane demanded not believing his ears.
"She did and I accept it"
"Then we have an accord"
"First you claim you see Johnny Depp and now your quoting from Pirates of the Caribbean?"
"It's a good movie so sue me if I quote from it"
"Are the two of you always like this?" Mokuba wondered.
"Yes, but we're close though" Zane responded.
"Treasure that bond" Kaiba advised. He then shot me a look. "Him being overprotective may be a nuisance but it means he's looking out for you"
"Noted, anyway we'll let you two gentlemen get back to work, by the way, Kaiba"
I held up my duel disk with a smirk of my own.
"This is impressive I look forward to seeing what else Kaiba Corp has to offer in the future"
"Good to hear and Erin, make sure you keep to your word"
And with that, Kaiba took his leave.
"See you guys around," Mokuba said before following after his sibling.
Once they were out of earshot Zane was cackling and he had his arm around me.
"You just met your crush little sister"
"No shit Sherlock"
