Bakura's POV
"You stay away from Erin" I advised Marik. When I heard she had been attacked by his Rare Hunters I was furious. Marik only smirked.
"Do you even know what kind of power a Nine-Tailed Fox wields?"
"Stay away from her" I hissed again. "I already lost her to that priest 5,000 years ago I won't let her go again"
"Kaiba is getting closer to her" Mario added.
"Yes I'm aware"
Marik then sighed.
"Very well I'll leave your precious fox alone"
"Good"
Erin's POV
"Freaking sweet," I said looking at my five locator cards. All I needed was one more and I was in the finals and one step closer to dueling Kaiba. Now all I needed was one last opponent.
"Hey!"
I froze when I heard Weevil's voice. Sure enough, the bug duelist was heading my way and his damn smile was creepy. But I wasn't rude so I waited for Weevil to approach.
"I was hoping to see you again, your brother isn't around I see"
"And your point?"
"The point is your pretty" Weevil admitted.
"Hey buzz off Weevil" Rex growled. Thank god he was here!
"What? I was just striking up a conversation!"
"She isn't interested dude I can tell"
Rex then looked at me.
"Still in the tournament Erin?"
I grinned before showing the two of them my locator cards.
"Holy shit!" Weevils exclaimed.
"Diamond helped me out in my last duel" I informed Rex.
"Nice! Just take care of it okay?"
"Looks like you two are out of the tournament"
Mako Tsunami wore a big goofy grin and Weevil told him to shut up. Rex and I only sweat dropped.
"Hey wait a minute, Mako are you still in the tournament?"
Mako looked at me.
"I only have one locator card left and I was looking for a duelist worthy of having it, from the way things are looking I'm not going to the finals"
"I'll duel you if you want" I offered.
"She's a worthy opponent" Rex backed me up.
"Alright I'm fine with that" Mako agreed.
I smirked and I let Mako choose a location for our duel and we stopped at a dockside. Mako and I each wagered one locator card and soon our duel started. Weevil and Rex stood on the sidelines.
"This is an honor for me to duel you since you have the Valyrian Deck" Mako complimented. "But don't expect me to go easy on you"
"I wouldn't expect otherwise"
Mako chuckled before making his move. His monster was in the water and I swore because I had no idea what creature it was. It was then my turn and after drawing I summoned Grey Wind. He was part of the Direwolves I had in my deck and his attack points were 1500. To be on the safe side I put a card face down and ended my turn.
"Be careful Erin" Rex warned me. "Mako's good"
"I'm afraid your wolf is about to swept out to sea" Mako chuckled before using a magic card that raised water monsters attack points up.
Sure enough, the moment that card was played a bunch of tentacles shot out of the water and grabbed Grey Wind. The Direwolf howled before getting destroyed and my life points lowered. Mako's monster disappeared back into the water. After making another draw I smirked before summoning Diamond Wyvern.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Rex exclaimed.
My facedown card was Stamp Destruction and Mako's magic card was sent to the graveyard. Mako was dealt 500 points of damage and Diamond roared a challenge at the monster under the water before taking a nose dive into the sea. It then surfaced with a big ass squid in its claws. Diamond tossed Mako's monster onto dry land and soon Mako's squid was destroyed.
I ended my turn with another card face down.
"You play well but this duel still isn't done," Mako said before summoning his next monster. A minute later the sea-serpent monster Kairyu-Shin emerged from the waves.
"Your Diamond Wyvern is beautiful but thanks to this card it will fall prey to my Kairyu-Shin"
I swore when Mako played Sea Venom. It was a magic card that lowered an opponent's attack points by 500. Diamond shrieked as he fell victim to Sea Venom and I looked away as Kairyu-Shin destroyed it.
"Aww man, not Diamond" Rex moaned.
"Quit moping Rex it's just a card" Weevil growled.
I heard a smack and I looked to see Rex had smacked Weevil hard enough that the idiot had a red welt on his head. My life points lowered by 300.
"Let's see what else you got" Mako encouraged. "I'm enjoying this"
"So am I, also not gonna lie your cute Mako"
Immediately Mako blushed and Weevil protested. I chuckled before starting my turn.
"Alright I think it's time to introduce you to one of my dragons say hello to Silverwing!"
Silverwing appeared above Kairyu-Shin and she eyed the sea-serpent as though she was hungry.
"It's my turn to raise my dragon's attack points"
I revealed my face-down card and it was Valyrian Steel. This magic card raised any monster in my deck by 700 points. Silverwing's attack points went from 1900 to 2600.
"Go Silverwing! Dracarys!"
Kairyu-Shin roared as it was destroyed by the silver dragon's flames. Mako looked at his hand and proceeded to shake his head. He then placed his hand on top of the life point illuminator and the duel ended.
"What?! Your surrendering?!" Weevil protested.
"I don't have monsters to defeat her Silverwing and no magic or trap cards to play" Mako explained. He then chuckled before smiling at me. "Our duel may have been quick but it was exciting"
"The odds just weren't in your favor today my friend" I replied to Mako as I approached him. "I was glad to duel you"
I offered Mako my hand and he shook it before giving me his locator card. He also handed over Sea Venom.
"Joey Wheeler beat me earlier and obtained my rarest monster"
"He also beat me too" Weevil growled.
I shot Weevil a glare at hearing him trash-talk Joey. Rex laughed while Weevil paled.
"Well congrats Erin you're a finalist" Rex stated.
He was right I was indeed a finalist and one step closer to dueling Kaiba.
"Thanks, Rex"
I then thought the hell with it and I kissed Mako on the cheek.
"HEY!" Weevil exclaimed looking mad I kissed Mako instead of him. Mako was blushing and it was damn cute.
"SIS!"
Zane looking ecstatic hauled ass our way and I bet he was a finalist also. Immediately my brother grabbed me into his arms and spun me around excitedly.
"Guess who's a finalist?" my older sibling said happily.
"Gah bro put me down!"
Zane apologized before setting me back onto my feet. He then proudly showed off his six locator cards. I smirked before doing the same and Zane proceeded to grab me in a bear hug.
"Good luck both of you," Mako told us after Zane was finished.
"Thanks man it's appreciated"
Zane then noticed Weevil. Both males glared at one another and Rex let it slip.
"He tried to hit on her earlier"
"SAY WHAT?!"
Weevil chose that moment to run and I laughed my ass off while Zane fumed.
Kaiba's POV
The finalists would be gathering soon and I was still angry with Marik kidnapping Mokuba. Yugi had Slifer and I had a hunch Marik had the Winged Dragon of Ra.
"Hey Seto"
"What's up kiddo?"
Tea may be annoying but she had my gratitude for helping Mokuba escape and in turn I stopped her from getting seriously hurt. Mokuba grinned and he turned his laptop towards me. On the screen was Erin and from what I was seeing she had just activated her locator cards to find the location to meet up for the finals. At seeing this I smirked pleased she was in the finals.
"Zane is also a finalist"
This didn't surprise me. Zane was good if he made it to the top ten of my tournament.
"Seto, can I be honest about something?"
"Sure kid, what is it?"
"Erin would be a good girlfriend for you"
"Mokuba" I began but Mokuba held a hand out so I stopped to hear what else he had to say.
"Just hear me out, I got the vibe she's a good person and Seto I know you've been lonely, don't deny it, you deserve someone who can fill that empty void and see you for who you are"
Damn. My little brother hit on the nail.
"Your blushing bro"
"Come on Mokuba we have finalists to wait for"
"Don't think I'm not gonna bring this up again later"
I chuckled at that one.
So our sibling duo are in the finals! Original Grey Wind belongs to George R. R. Martin. Also in case anyone is wondering I've been playing Ark Survivor Evolved hence lack of updates. Its awesome!
