Glint could feel it. Through his connection to Crow, he could feel a metaphysical twang, early in the morning. He couldn't often feel Mara, his connection was mainly to his Guardian; at best, he could tell her off if Crow wanted to be left alone, and it was less about talking and more about giving off a feeling of 'go away now'. When they first began, her presence had become steadily distant, and since they had arrived here, her psychic communications had been completely absent. The siblings strange connection was enough that they could still feel that the other was alive, but nothing more.
It was not so now. Crow snapped awake when it happened, and the sudden movement woke Cayde from across the room. Both Hunters spent a short time listening.
"It's happening again." Crow told them. "Stronger this time. It's like... that feeling you get, when lightning is about to strike."
"Think it'll happen soon?" Cayde asked, rolling out of his hammock with a Hunter's lazy grace.
"I don't know." His Guardian furrowed his brow. "It's like she's testing a bad signal."
"I'm gonna check the perimeter." The older Hunter said. "Stay here in case it does anything weird, don't need you out there if you grow a third arm or something."
"'Kay." Crow agreed as he strode past. His Guardian pinches the bridge of his nose, and Glint washes Light over him to try to ease the discomfort.
"It's not hurting, is it?" He asked. He hope's there are Warlocks experienced in healing with Mara right now, Crow had him if anything went wrong, but for all her power she was still mortal.
"No, just uncomfortable." Crow said, digging the palm of his hand against his forehead. "But it's like my body is thinking about getting a headache."
He washed more Light over his Guardian, before phasing into their link. There, he calmed his own worries, and let that calm radiate against the neural link. Crow relaxed against the wall, shutting his eyes and weathering his discomfort, while Glint did his best to project calm and reassurance loud enough for Mara to hear. She was trying so hard to better herself; the prospect of losing a loved one due to your own vices often sparked change in people, she was no different. She didn't always succeed, but he was glad that she tried.
He hope's she feels his reassurance, at least. She was Crow's sister, and so often distanced herself still. Someone had to reassure her.
He was a Ghost. It was his nature to make sure everyone was okay.
