A Double Twisted Nightmare Chapter 7
July 24th Unknown Island
Chris and Claire were doing some maneuvers, when Stuart comes up to them. "Dr. Alex and Dr. Albert say the time is now and to expect them soon." Stuart tells them.
The Redfield siblings nod their heads sad and scared at the same time.
July 24th Arklay Mountains
Alpha were able to find Bravo's teams helicopter, but only Kevin's body is found. They scout around hoping to find some clues as to where they went, Joseph hears something in the bushes. He looks pointing his gun but nothing is there and lowers his weapon, a fatal mistake.
Dogs jump out as Joseph lowers his guard and a shoot rings out, alerting the others.
Jill tries to save him but it was too late, then one of the mutated dogs takes notice of her. The others follow suit, about ready to jump on her but thankfully Barry rescues her.
As they run Brad files off in their helicopter. "What the hell?! Brad, come back!" Barry shouts in vain as they run.
One of dogs start to catch up, Barry turns in a futile attempt to shield himself and Jill, when a bullet kills the creature. "Barry, this way!" Alex shouts and they all run towards a mansion that seems to appear from the trees.
They get inside with only the four of them, Captain Wesker, Alex, Barry and Jill. Brad took off to who knows where.
Jill was panting heavily, while the other three look around. "What kind of place is this?" Barry asks. "Not your ordinary house that's for sure." Wesker no sooner said that, a gunshot went off. "Barry, Jill go check and see what that was." Wesker orders them. They leave to investigate.
The two go into a dining room and find a puddle of blood on the floor, near the fireplace. "Who's do you think it is?" Barry asks. "I honestly hope its not from our friends." she said.
"I'm going into the next room." Jill said. "All right, be careful." Barry said. Jill opens the door closest to her and goes in.
She hears a strange noise coming from her left, she walks over to where it was and sees a figure over the body of Kenneth. The figure was eating him from his neck but stops upon realizing that someone alive was in the room with it. It turns it's head and groans at seeing her, it gets up and Jill freaks and runs back towards the dining room.
"Barry!" she yells as she runs into the room. "What?!" Barry said surprised by her actions. "Look out its a monster!" she said turning around and pointing at the zombie. Barry turns and shoots at it, it fell.
"What is it?" he asked. "I don't know. I just saw Kenneth get killed by this thing." Jill said. "Let's go and report this to Wesker." he said.
They return to the first room they came in but neither of the Wesker's are seen. "Wesker! Alex!" Barry calls but no one answers. They look around the whole room but the siblings have disappeared. "They must have heard something and went to investigate." Barry said and Jill nods.
"I'll head back to the dining room, you check out what over on that side of this place and here." Barry said giving her a lock pick. "It suits you more than me." he said. "Thanks." she said before heading over to the doors.
The Wesker siblings however were not anywhere in the mansion itself but below it. "Are you sure that Burton can be trusted?" Alex asks her brother.
"As long as he thinks we have his family he will do what we tell him." Wesker said. They were going over some papers that had to be destroyed before Barry and Jill came down this way.
Back to Jill she was currently in an L shaped corridor after a frightful encounter with a zombie in the exhibition room. As she walks she recalls that at first she couldn't get through the door but after going back through the west side was eventually able to find a sword key in the graveyard. However there was something bothering her, 'I didn't see Barry, where did he go?' she was puzzled as to how Barry disappeared.
As she passes through a door into the northeast corridor she continues to a set of double doors on her right and a single door to her left, she goes through the left. Going passed a strange square room into a parlor room where a shotgun sits invitingly on a picture. Of course Jill wants every advantage she can get and grabs it before leaving the room.
As she walking back through the square room dust settles on her shoulder, causing her to look up and to her horror the ceiling is dropping. She goes to the door but its now locked, she then runs back to the door she just came from but it too is locked. Jill panics, "Wesker! Alex! Barry! Help me!" she screams pounding on the door that leads to the corridor.
Fortunately for her Barry was nearby, "Jill?!" he yells trying to open the door but it wouldn't budge so he shoots it and grabs Jill, who is on the ground at this point, pulling her to safety.
Jill catches her breath, "Thank you Barry, I would have been a goner without you." she said. "Yeah you would've been a Jill sandwich." Barry makes a joke. As they stand Jill asks, "By the way why are you on this side of the mansion? I thought you were doing more work on the west side?"
"I thought that there might be something useful this way and here I am. Good thing as it turned out." Barry said but he wasn't looking at Jill at all as he spoke. "We better get back to searching for the Wesker siblings." he said going to the door leading to the L corridor.
"Barry!" Jill says, "Thank you again."
"Don't mention it." he said before going out of sight.
Jill continues on, going through the double doors and going to the door on her left. She hears moaning, she readies the shotgun and creeps closer. Sure enough a zombie is waiting by the staircase, she promptly blows its head off. She goes into a storage room drops off and picks up stuff before going to a u-shaped hallway turning right into a reading room.
While searching she finds ammo and a dog whistle with a note. She decides to check out the west terrace.
The Wesker siblings were making their own rounds through the lab finding criminating evidence and destroying it.
"Must we wait for Jill to go to the Residence?" Alex knows that they have to take care of stuff in the mansion.
"You've seen it yourself Alex. Jill's eyes are too sharp, if we move while she's in the mansion she'll notice something. That is the main reason why were having Barry help us, he's too honest with his feelings." Wesker said.
Jill was sitting in a storeroom in the west side of the mansion, her back towards the door. She was breathing heavily about all that has happened.
When she went to the west terrace, blew the dog whistle, not one but two dogs jumped out at her. He reflexes saved her life and she took the collar that had a fake key inside. She then went back to the hallway full of mirrors, going past a new type a zombie, reaching a door that lead to the third floor.
She found the real key called armor in an indentation and quickly swapped them but not before hearing a torturous sound of blades spinning. Then once things quieted down she came in here to catch her breath.
'Enough it's time to move again.' Jill stands and leaves for the east staircase area to unlock a door with the armor symbol dodging zombies as she goes. She arrives unlocks it and goes to the door on her left, to her surprise she finds Barry deep in thought as he reads a file.
Jill goes up to and he jumps about a foot in the air, "Jill." he said calming down. "Sorry I didn't mean to startle you. What are you looking at?" she asks him. "Here you better read it yourself." he said giving her the file. In it was a sad note about a man's last will but part of it is missing.
"This place... Jill whatever they were doing it wasn't good." Barry said. "Yeah we need to find Alex and Wesker." Jill said. "I'm going off again, meet you somewhere." he said before leaving.
Jill then messes around in this private room, finds a lure and an insect that somehow got mixed up but finds a worn crest. However the biggest surprise is the bee that she used came back to life, not wanting to waste the ammo she grabs the crest and bolts. She heads back down to the east store room and sees a note by the door, it was from Barry.
'Found some items, there more up your alley than mine' it said. Jill check it out, puts away what she doesn't need and takes what she does before backtracking all the way to the entrance hall going upstairs to where the east terrace door is.
She unlocks and goes past the threshold, she keeps on walking until she comes across Barry again. He was on his hunches looking upset about something. "Barry?" Jill asks. He stands and turns towards her, "It's Forest." was all he said and Jill takes a look.
It was Forest, it looks like he's been dead for awhile now. Looking closer Jill realizes that he had been pecked to death, "This is awful." she said standing back up.
"Yeah, look I'll scope things out awhile longer out here. See if you can find any one and here." Barry hands her Forest's grenade launcher. "He.. He no longer has a use for it." he said and Jill nods before leaving the terrace.
Jill stops just as she gets inside, 'Something is not right with Barry. How is it he got passed two locked doors when I had to use a key to open them?' Jill is starting to become aware that there is something more going on but has no time to dwell on it.
She heads back into the u-shaped hallway before unlocking a door on her right and into a room with a pillar in the center.
No sooner than stepping a foot in, two people collide with the wall. It was Richard and Rebecca of Bravo team. "Richard! Rebecca!" she yells going up to them. Rebecca was fine, Richard on the other hand had a terrible wound.
"Jill!" Richard said.
"Thank goodness you found us!" Rebecca said.
"What happened?" Jill asks.
"W-We were attacked by a giant snake and wouldn't you know it was a poisonous one." Richard said withering in pain.
"I don't have serum! Do you know where some is Jill?" Rebecca asks her.
"Yes I'll be right back!" Jill said standing up and breaks into a run. She goes all the way to the west store room, grabs the serum and runs back to Richard and Rebecca, dodging zombies all the while.
"Here!" she said returning to them. Rebecca readies the serum, "Ok Richard I'm giving you a shot." she said before inserting the needle. Richard then relaxes as the pain goes away.
"Thank goodness!" Rebecca says relieved that they weren't too late.
"By the way, did you find the others?" Rebecca asks Jill. Jill relates Joseph, Forest, Kevin, and Kenneth deaths to them.
"The only ones that are missing are Enrico and Edward." Jill said. Rebecca becomes sad, "Edward is dead." she tells her. Jill is sadden to know that many of her friends died this night, but is determined to find Enrico.
"Stay here and gather your strength." Jill said before moving on to the attic landing. She tries the door in front of her but it is locked with a shield symbol on it. Then moaning is heard as she turns around and sees a zombie come out from the hall. She dodges it before going behind it to find a door that leads into a small dining room.
It was too dark to really see, so she lights the candles and picks up what she finds is useful, before moving a hutch that was covering an entrance. A zombie comes out she goes around it before finding half of a musical score, she then quickly gets out before the zombie grabs her. However the zombie from the hall comes in, attracted by the light, Jill was now stuck between the two.
Jill thinks quickly, she waits for the one in front of her to stumble then jolts around him before she is grabbed by the one behind her and gets through the door. She sighs in relief before going back to the pillar room.
"Listen you two, I need to get back to some rooms but I need help. Rebecca can you come with me?" Jill asks her. Rebecca is hesitate about leaving Richard alone, "I'm fine now Rebecca. Don't worry I have my trusty shotgun right here." Richard said. "Ok." and Rebecca leaves with Jill.
They go to the west storage room, find some herbicide that had been left there and went to the f-shaped hallway, going all the way to the end before finding door that leads into a greenhouse.
Some of the plants were moving, "What the-?! How is that possible?!" Rebecca asks in surprise. Jill looks over on the wall and sees a mask, recognizing it from a book she read in the cemetery behind the mansion.
"Rebecca put the herbicide in the water and turn it on." Jill knew if the plants were moving that they might attack if they get too close. Rebecca turns on the water and the plants writhe in pain before dying, Jill then grabs the mask and they leave the room.
Glass breaks as they walk back down the hall, "Shit! Run!" Jill yells and Rebecca follows her to the tearoom. They catch their breath before going left to where a door on the left is. "What's further down?" Rebecca asks. "The kitchen, but I already raided it earlier and it was nasty." Jill answers.
They walk into a bar room that had a piano in it, they search and after moving a self find the other half to the musical score, it was Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata'.
"Let's see what it does." Jill said putting the score on the piano. "You play?" Rebecca asks.
"Yeah since I was a little girl, you?" Jill asked her.
"I played up until I was twelve, I got more into my studies so I'm rusty." Rebecca said. Jill plays like a professional and a wall opens up to an enclosed space.
They look in and see a gold shield under a statue. "I recognize the shield, it was in the dining room but it was made of wood. Wait here, I'll go get it." Jill said running to the dining room and grabs the wooden shield, coming back to the bar room.
Jill goes into the little room and takes the gold shield, but the wall comes down. She then puts the wooden shield on the statue and the wall goes back up, she leaves the room.
"Jill! Are you ok?" Rebecca asked going up to Jill.
"Yeah I'm glad that grabbed the wooden shield." she said.
They go into the dining room, where Jill puts the gold shield up over the mantle and the grandfather clock opens, revealing it's inner workings.
"Nice let me check this out!" Rebecca says going in front of the clock.
"You know how to work this?" Jill asks.
"You be surprised at what I play with when I'm not studying." she said reaching inside and moves some gears.
After messing with it, the clock makes a noise and moves to the right of them, a key is revealed to be behind. Jill grabs it, looks it over and sees a shield on it. "I know where this goes. Rebecca go back to the west store room and be ready if I return poisoned," Jill said.
"Are you sure?" Rebecca did not want Jill to face that snake.
"Yes, there must be something important in there." Jill said and they go their separate ways.
The Wesker siblings meanwhile were almost done in the lab, "We can move on to the mansion, we just need to stay out of sight of Jill and Rebecca." Wesker said. They had been surprised that Rebecca escaped the training facility.
"Let's start on the outside, before we get there." Alex said reading her weapon. They walk out of the basement lab to fend off more chimeras.
Jill had gotten back to the storeroom where Rebecca was, she did get poisoned by the snake and had sad news.
While she was on the east side she had gotten two masks, one from an armory and one from the attic where the snake was. While in the attic, the snake came out and Richard had recovered enough to help her distract it. She grabbed the mask and Richard seemingly killed but it played possum on them.
Richard shoved her out of the way and got eaten, the snake left after it got its belly full. Jill grabbed the only thing of Richard left, his shotgun and made her way back to Rebecca when she felt dizzy, the snake did bite her in that brief moment when she got the mask.
Rebecca treats Jill with serum, she was sad that Richard was now dead. "Do you think that Enrico is still alive?" she asks Jill. "Yes he's too stubborn to let zombies kill him." Jill said. She then gets ready to leave, there was one door she needed to check out before she went back to the crypt.
'Not to mention there are other doors I can't lock pick, they have a helmet symbol on them' and Jill had no idea where that key was.
"Jill there's another building nearby, called the Residence. There maybe clues there as well." Rebecca tell her.
"I'll check it out once I'm done in the crypt. You coming with me?" she asks.
"No... I'll stay here for now." Rebecca wanted to gather herself before she leaves. Jill does not say anything and leaves to go back where the back entrance is, evading zombies so that she doesn't waste ammo.
She unlocks the door leading into a portrait room, she finds a riddle under a painting and presses switches to change there colors. Then she goes over to the last painting and presses a button causing the wall to go up and the last mask was on the ground in the cemetery where she couldn't get to earlier.
She grabs the mask, unlocks the gate and goes to the crypt. She puts all four masks on their respective place and a coffin falls to the ground. She checks it and discovers a crimson head inside but the way out is shut with bars as she does this.
When she goes to check that out the zombie comes alive, Jill readies her grenade launcher and fires acid rounds at it. It eventually drops to the ground and stays down. The gate goes up again, Jill checks out the coffin and finds a stone & metal object.
After taking it she leaves for the back entrance. As she leaves the mansion a mutated dog jumps out but she blows him away with the shotgun, then she goes over to a metal door but it was locked.
She looks to her left and sees a spot where the stone & metal object can go, puts it in and the door unlocks, leading to a shed.
The Wesker siblings right now are catching their breath, "How is she still alive?" Alex asks, she was talking about Lisa Trevor.
She was an experiment that was deemed failure sometime ago and was destroyed, or so it was said.
"I don't know but we need to give a call out. That way Jill, Barry and Rebecca can still be mice here." Wesker said and Alex uses her walkie talkie.
Back to Jill she was currently going out the right door of the shed. She couldn't get to the Residence right now cause the floodgate is up and she needs a tool to turn it. She looked through the shed but it wasn't there, giving her no choice but to use the door on the right.
While in the courtyard though Brad came through her walkie talkie but she couldn't get in touch with him, not to mention dogs were prowling.
As she goes down the slope Alex's voice comes on, "This is.. Alex." she said. "Alex?!" Jill said. "Monster... in chains... weapons useless... stay away... forest outside the mansion..." was all Alex said before the line went dead. "Shit! Busted again!" Jill said she was not happy but has to go down this path.
She messes with weather vines as she goes down, and the two guard dog statues were facing opposite of the gate. She goes through and finds herself in another graveyard with crows. She walks as she checks out two large graves and puts the wind crest she had into the one on the right to get three more crests, they have the sun, moon, and star respectively. She grabs them, discovering switches on them, puts them in the second where to she finds a magnum and takes it. She creeps along the other side so that the crows don't come after her, once through she runs along the path until she finds a cabin.
She goes in and searches for things that can be useful. Eventually gets to the back of the cabin and finds the crank needed for the floodgate. She goes back to the front but something knocks her out after she hears moaning.
Jill comes to and sees to her horror a creature in chains comes up to her. It takes a swing at her but she dodges and runs past it, runs out the door along the path, all the way back to the shed where she catches her breath.
She then goes back to the floodgate and turns the crank to make a walkway, which after it was done she hears a waterfall in the distance. She goes across to an elevator and goes down to where the waterfall is, she then shoots crows before making it over to the gate.
She runs down a narrow path with small snakes dropping before she finally reaches the Residence.
As Jill arrived, the Wesker siblings move in the mansion, finding evidence that Jill or Rebecca over looked or that Barry hadn't got to yet and destroying it. Using the master key they get into rooms Jill hasn't yet,
"Jill still needs to get in here right? Let's leave some items, stuff that can be useful." Alex said as her brother grabs the papers that have to be gotten rid of. "Yes." he said.
Jill meanwhile had to climb over boxes to avoid a vine that was resting in a hole. She had just come from the break room after dealing with giant spiders and grabbing a red book.
She reaches the other corridor and walks to a door called 002, when she hears something. "This was not part of the deal!" it was Barry. "S.T.A.R.S doesn't need to be destroyed." he keeps on talking. "But what about my family?" he asks. "If I play my cards right." was the last thing he said before there is silence.
Jill opens the door and goes in, sees Barry lost in thought. Jill pretends that she didn't hear him, "Hey are you all right?" she asks.
Barry turns toward her, "Yeah I just need some air." before going past her.
"Wait!" Jill said and he stopped. "I've found Rebecca of Bravo team." she tells him.
"That's good." Barry said with a smile before leaving the room. Jill looks at this in concern before checking out the room finding papers, a ladder that goes down and a door to the bathroom. While in the bathroom finds a key call 001 and then hears a door shut, it was accompanied with moaning.
Jill quickly exits out of the bedroom and returns to the entrance hall to unlock the door she couldn't get into earlier.
Once inside she sees a man hanging by the neck with rope, he committed suicide. She finds a couple of things before going into the bathroom, finding the dead mans companion on the floor and a bathtub filled with water. She unplugs the tub and grabs a key, but then the one on the ground comes alive. She bolts runs back to room 002, blows the head off the zombie in there and goes down the ladder.
She arrives into a subterrain basement, as she goes down the hall she finds water blocking her way so she moves the crates to make a path. She enters through a set of doors where water has gathered and sees sharks
As she continues she finds a single door, double doors and unlocks them, than a ladder leading down to an observation aera. Water was on the outside, there were protocols for an emergency on a white board. It said open valve 3.
She decides to drain the water by resetting the system, but the sharks know what she is up to and ram on the glass. Warnings went out, Jill tries to activate the shutters but the oil pressure becomes unstable. She quickly opens valve three, returns to it and is successful. She then drains the water and goes out into the dampness.
She finds an underground warehouse with two sets of double doors, she goes through the far ones. She dodges sharks that are still clinging to life, to the far side of the aqua ring where the biggest one is. She see something above and cautiously moves around the shark before climbing up.
Just as she reaches for it, the shark comes alive and knocks it to where it is. Jill realizes electricity is still running, she pushes a piece of equipment in before turning it on and fries the shark. Once the current is dead she grabs the key, the key says gallery.
Leaves the aqua ring, goes past the underground warehouse to the other set of double doors. She then climbs a ladder that brings her back to the first floor, where she then leaves this aera by going back to room 002.
After reaching the room she leaves to go down the hall to the gallery room and unlocks it. Going in she find doors and a corpse holding insecticide spray, which she grabs as wasps come at her. She leaves the room remembering a hole where she found a map of this place and goes over to it. She pumps the insect killer inside the hole because it was connected to the hive.
After she's done, she goes back to the gallery to where the hive is and grabs a key that says 003.
Then Rebecca came into the room, "Jill!" she said as Jill rounded the corner.
"I see your feeling better Rebecca." Jill said.
"Yeah... Any luck in finding captain Martini?" she asks.
"Sadly nothing yet." Jill replies and looks over to see a number keypad on a door. She goes over to play with it before it opens revealing a pharmacy of dreams.
"Wow! This is all good quality stuff!" Rebecca said as she goes in and sees the different medicines and chemicals.
"Good thing I lit those candles." Jill was talking about her time in the break room.
Rebecca then notices a chemical code on the wall, "What do you make of it Jill?" she asks her friend.
"Not sure, why don't you make it while I check out room 003?" Jill asks her in turn before going across the gallery to said room.
She unlocks the door and goes in to see another bedroom but something told her that there more than what she thinks in here.
She then finds papers about J-Volt and how it can be used on Plant 42, then goes over to a bookcase where a red book is missing. She still has the red book from earlier and places it on the self with the others, she then sees that they make a picture and arranges it so that the picture makes sense. A door is then revealed when the wardrobe moves and Rebecca comes in.
"I finished it Jill." she said holding J-Volt in her hands.
"Great! But now I need you to do something for me. In room 002 there is a ladder that leads to an underground aqua ring. While I was there earlier, there was one room I did not go in on the first floor of it. You'll have to take the long way around to get there, but if I'm right then the roots of Plant 42 should be there. Use J-Volt on it and that should get rid of it so I can explore the room it's in." Jill tells her.
"Ok but give me ten minutes before you go in." Rebecca said before leaving the room.
Once ten minutes pass Jill goes in room point 42 and sees Plant 42 shrivel up, Rebecca had been successful so Jill looks around the room. Unfortunately the plant was playing with her, it grabbed her with its vines and Jill shrieks.
Barry then bursts in with a flamethrower, "What the hell!" he said at seeing the plant. "Help!" Jill shouts.
Barry readies the flamethrower but it grabs him too. Barry is not the type to go down without a fight and unleashes a torrent of flames at. It finally shrivels into nothing and lets them both go, dropping them to the ground.
"I thought for sure I was dead. Thanks again Barry." Jill said as they stand back up.
"Looks like I'm the hero again." he said and Jill sees something in the fireplace. She goes over to it and finds a key, the key had a helmet on it. 'This is the one!' Jill is excited that she found the key for the mansion.
Then the doors open and Rebecca comes in, "Did you find anything? Oh! Hi Barry!" she said hugging him.
"Hey kid. Glad to see your ok." Barry said letting her go.
"I found a key for the mansion, I need to go back." Jill said.
"Ok I'll stay here and check things out a little more." Barry said. Rebecca also decides to stay to see what she can do in the pharmacy room.
"All right you two stay safe. We will meet again." Jill said leaving the room.
She goes down the corridor when gunshots go off, she rushes to see who it was. It was Wesker firing at some wasps, "Wesker!" Jill said surprised at seeing him after he and Alex vanished earlier.
"Jill I see you are safe." he said as he turned to face.
"Yeah I'm glad you are too. What happened to Alex?" Jill asks.
"I don't know. We had to separate because a strange amphibian creature attacked us." Wesker tells her. Alex is actually still at the mansion wrapping things up in Spencer's study, Wesker is just giving Jill a warning about things to come.
"I've found Rebecca of Bravo team. All but Enrico are accounted for, the other's are dead." Jill tells him.
"I see... By the way is Barry acting strange by any chance?" Wesker asks sounding concerned.
"Now that you mention it..." Jill trails off hiding her confusion.
"Maybe I'm just imagining things. This is certainly not a standard operation of ours. We need to find Alex and Enrico, so we can get out of here." he said looking out the window.
"Yes." Jill said. He turns back to her, "There are still rooms in the mansion I couldn't get into, I want you to go back and see what you can do." Wesker tells her.
"Sure I was heading back anyways." Jill said. "Good." he said before leaving her sight.
As Jill goes back to the mansion she thinks about everything so far. 'Barry has been acting strange from the moment he saved me from being crushed to death, but he did not hesitate to save me from Plant 42. However he did not mention meeting Wesker anywhere in the mansion. He also talked about his family when he was in room 002 along with destroying S.T.A.R.S. Is someone blackmailing him? And how did I not come across Wesker or Alex while at the mansion?' Jill realizes these are a lot of pieces and not enough connections.
She arrives at the shed where she finds a note from Alex, 'To anyone alive may these items be of use to you. I fixed the door by the eastern staircase too.' it said and Jill gathers the items before leaving.
She finally arrives at the corridor to the back entrance when she hears something. She turns and sees a creature that Wesker talked about before. She shoots it with her shotgun before it got too close and kills it with two shots. 'I need to be more careful.' Jill knows that she can't dodge these creatures as well as the zombies.
She goes through the portrait hall to get back at the entrance hall and unlock the door by the stairs to find a large art room.
Going in she finds a couple of things before opening a door leading to a mirror wall and a zombie. Jill dispatches the zombie with the shotgun before grabbing things. She then leaves to go to the western side of the mansion.
She goes where the stairs are and unlocks the door here to find trophies inside it. She gathers stuff while taking note of an eagle statue watching her and making noise whenever she gets too close to one of the stuffed animal heads. She was disturbed to find paperwork detailing S.T.A.R.S to come here for combat data.
She moves furniture before turning off the lights and watching a red and yellow glow from the animal heads. She tricks the eagle statue and gets them both which turn out to be jewels like the one from earlier in the dining room.
She then hears a scream coming from below her. "Rebecca!" Jill recognized her voice and runs all the way to the bar room to find Rebecca about to be gutted by an amphibian creature. Jill quickly unloads the shotgun at it until it was dead.
Rebecca sighs in relief, "Sorry about this Jill. I was trying to find you when it found me and chased me in here." she tells her.
"Here." she says giving Jill some herbs that have been combined into one for maximal potential.
"Thanks, lets go the west store room." Jill said once they arrived Jill takes a box she left in here before the trophy room and inserts a red gem into causing pieces to fall.
"You found a puzzle." Rebecca said and Jills puts it together and it unlock but she is puzzled by the symbol on it. 'I've seen this crest before, a door by the back entrance has this!' she realizes before opening the lid and finding the same emblem on a brooch. She sees a button, presses it and it forms into a key.
'I still don't understand, why is the Spencer family crest here?' Jill then takes notice of Rebecca's expression as she stares at it.
"What's wrong?" she asks her.
"Jill... there's something you need to know." Rebecca said and tells Jill about the management training facility, excluding Billy of course.
Jill is silent as she takes in what Rebecca told her, 'I don't believe this! Umbrella is responsible?! But why?!'
Jill knew Rebecca wasn't making it up and that is would explain somethings but there is little proof right now. "Keep this to yourself until we get out of here. I'll be around the mansion for awhile. Come find me when your ready." Jill said before leaving.
She heads for the tiger statue room and inserts the yellow gem revealing an M.O. disk, which she grabs before leaving for the back entrance corridor.
She unlocks the Spencer door, turns on the light and finds it musty and dusty. However she sees evidence that someone was here recently, but it does not have much use. She find a metal object but it is missing its stone piece.
She then leave for the eastern staircase, going into the lounge before unlocking a door leading into a mural room.
She sees a statue in front of her, going around it she see that it belongs on the other side of a an Umbrella symbol. Jill pushes the statue to where it goes and the walls close in but stop upon reaching the statue. Jill pushes it as far as it can go before looking around to find a button to retract the walls. She finds it on the right side, presses it before quickly going back to the statue and pushes it into place.
The walls reseed and a new wall opens up revealing a small corridor with a hole.
After grabbing a dagger Jill jumps down, grabs a red book, finds a grave called 'George Trevor' and it had a switch. She presses it and it moves revealing a ladder, Jill then goes down it.
As she hits bottom, she see web spinner on the wall and shoots it dead before finding another one around the corner, killing it as well. She then moves on to the next passage and dispatches two zombies that are roaming. She then goes over to a power supply area, and flips some switch's that restore the elevators power.
She walks down the passage way to a door that leads to the kitchen and goes to her right to find the elevator entrance.
Going up she enters a room she's never been in before but has to deal with two zombies in here. She tries to open a set of double doors but the knobs are busted. After blasting away the last zombie she goes into a room that has materials, including a battery pack. 'That can fit the other elevator in the courtyard.' Jill was happy that thing are moving but now there was one door that is still locked.
She gets back out and onto the last door in this room that leads to the mirror corridor and she quickly goes to the other side to where the armor corridor of death is.
She goes back up the stairs, pass the fake key and unlocks the last door.
She finds a library as she walks towards the end but glass breaks and the monster that killed Richard appeared again. She runs to a ladder and climbs down but the snake follows her. As it goes around a book self Jill readies her grenade launcher with acid rounds.
"I'm ready for you, you son of a bitch!" Jill yells as it came around the bend. Is wasn't easy but she took down her enemy, the snake smashed glass before finally dying. Jill looks around and finds a blue book.
She heads back to the east store room and puts stuff away. She opens the red and blue books and takes out medals of animals on them. She than grabs what she needs before going back to the garden with a waterfall.
She puts the battery in the vacant slot before going up back towards the floodgate, where Jill cranks it again causing the waterfall sound to disappear. Going back, the waterfall is no more, just an entrance to somewhere underground and Jill goes down the ladder.
Jill takes note of the door on her right but explores the passage first, finding a dead end where a different crank is needed to reach a door. She heads back to the first door and goes through a t-shaped passage before entering a room where a big elevator is. She explores and finds that she needs a piece in order for the elevator to work, before going through a door she hasn't been through.
As she walks a voice is heard, "Who's there?"
"That voice.. Enrico!" Jill said happy that he has been found. She turns a corner and sees Enrico sitting on the ground injured. She goes over to him but raises his hand stopping her.
"Jill are you by yourself?" he asks.
"Yes..?" Jill asks in turn.
"Listen this was a setup... by Umbrella but they didn't do it alone... someone helped them... someone on S.T.A.R.S..." was all he got out before he was shot.
Jill looks over to where the shot came from but whoever it was ran off, she looks back at Enrico who is now dead. She looks closer and sees he was holding something, it was the crank she needed.
She grabs it, then the door opens in the distance and it was a hunter. She dodges it before going back to the generator room, she goes back to the t-passage avoiding more hunters.
Meanwhile Wesker reunites with Alex, "I was able to finish off Marini before he said too much." he said.
"I thought I finished him when I saw him, but he pulled through." Alex said with annoyance.
They had discovered Enrico was still alive and had gotten into things he should not have. Alex shot him first, making sure to stay out of sight just in case he lived.
"Jill is probably putting two and two together, especially if Rebecca has spoken to her about the training facility. But she shouldn't suspect us, at least not me for a while yet." Wesker said and they leave for the lab.
Jill was getting pretty irritated with things now. When she went into the next passage, a boulder nearly smushed her. Then she had to deal with an overgrown spider bigger from the rest, found a knife to cut her way forward. Then followed a passage to another boulder trap, after using the crank, again she barley dodge it. Now she has to solve a puzzle to get something.
She pushes a statue to where part of the wall moves and uses the crack to move it. Then she pushes the statue on a circular object that moves, twice. She then pushes it to where a hole in the wall, and a portion lifts up to reveal the missing part to the generator.
Jill runs back to the generator room, dodging hunters all the while. Back in the generator room, she grabs the shaft and combines the two. She aligns it and sees numbers, then puts it back turning it on by pressing the buttons in order. The power comes, with the elevator coming up. She gets ready to turn it on when Barry comes up to her.
"There you are! I've been looking for you for a while." he said.
"I'm glad to see you too." Jill said.
"I-I found Enrico, but he's..." Jill trails off.
"I see." Barry is sad to know he was dead.
"By the way, have you seen Rebecca? I haven't seen her for awhile." he asks her.
"Last time I saw her she was in the west store room." Jill is concerned that Rebecca vanished.
"Do you know where this goes?" Barry asks about the elevator.
"No, but will find out." Jill said pressing a button, causing the elevator to got down. Once they hit bottom, they hear a strange noise, "Jill can you check it? I'll stay here." Barry said holding his gun. Jill looks around and sees that the area they are in is a waste treatment, taking note of the trash compactor.
She then leaves through the only door and hears a familiar moan, it was the creature she found in the cabin. She keeps an eye out as she goes left to a door but it was locked and there is no lock on. Jill sees that its connected to a mechanism, and it needed something heavy. Then the monster come around the corner, Jill hightails it to the other side to find another door that was unlocked.
She goes in, finds ammo, herbs and a huge box. She grabs what she can, then pushes the box to a transport device she found and start it up. It gets transported the waste treatment area, according to some notes Jill found. She then heads back to Barry, dodging the creature again, but when she arrives at the room he's in, she watches in horror as he takes the elevator up, without her.
'Barry... why?' Jill could not believe that Barry did that.
'There's no time for a pity party.' Jill heads down the trash compactor area, pushes the box where it is and pulls the lever down, crushing it. Once it came back up there was a flamethrower where the box had been and grabs it. It was useless as a weapon but there would be enough weight to activate the mechanism by the door in the labyrinth tunnel.
She goes back there, first pulling down the level she saw last time, then runs to the mechanism and places the flamethrower on it, all while avoiding the monster.
She goes in, discovers that someone had lived in here sometime ago. There were chairs and dolls that were staring at her but she sees bars that had been pried from the middle. Finding nothing in this part, she continues down a corridor filled with water and two adders hot on her trail.
When she reaches the far side of the place, she finds a bed and a jewelry box. Jill opens the box and finds the missing stone piece. She also finds a picture and a note, this causes her to realize that the monster in chains had been a human girl named Lisa Trevor.
Jill then climbs the ladder and discovers she's back at the cabin. She continues onward towards the shed, where upon existing grabs the metal & stone object from the indentation. She then heads to the east store room to gather what she needed before going to the final door of the mansion. She combines the stone ring and metal object and has two of them now, then she leaves for the entrance hall for the last time.
Jill inserts the stone & metal objects into the gate door and it unlocks. She goes in finding a passage filled with stairs going down leading to a ladder. She climbs down, sees an altar and Barry messing with a coffin. "Jill!" he said when he saw her, but she takes notice he's hiding his gun behind him.
Jill moves towards him cautiously, "I'm glad your still alive. I had been worried about you." he said before whipping his gun out but she was ready and turns the tables on him by grabbing it, pointing it towards him.
"I suggest you start talking!" Jill said.
"I'm sorry! I had to! Let me explain!" Barry blurts out in a panic.
"Then it better be the truth." Jill said with a warning in her voice.
Then the familiar sound of chains is heard, they look over at the other entrance and see Lisa coming in. She destroys the statues in the room before making her way over to them.
"Jill... please give me my gun." Barry said. Jill hands it back to him, "Thank you." he said putting the gun on Lisa.
Barry shoots at her while Jill starts pushing stone pillars to the bottomless aera around them. After pushing all four of them off the platform, the stone coffin opens revealing a skeleton. Lisa goes up to it, "Mother.." she moans as she grabs the skull before jumping off into nothingness.
A bar door that fell, opened up once Lisa disappeared and Jill checks the coffin finding more of a sad story before going back to Barry.
"I'm sure that creature is still alive. I'll stay here for now please go on ahead." Barry said and Jill leaves.
'My hunch earlier was right. Someone is blackmailing Barry, other wise he would not have saved me from Lisa. I'll talk to him later about it. I hope Rebecca is ok. I don't think either one of them are the traitor that Enrico talked about. It is either Wesker or Alex, I want to say Alex but she just joined us. I don't think she was really apart of it, at least till now. As for Wesker... I don't want to believe that the man who is my captain would betray us. Chris is out of the question, he's far too honest.' Jill needs more proof as to who is behind this.
She arrives at another courtyard, but this one had a big fountain in its center. She sees lions on one side and wolves on the other, she places the medals she found respectively on them. When she places the last one, the water disappears and stairs appear with an elevator. Jill takes the elevator down and finds a entrance to a helipad, as well as a ladder.
The helipad would be helpful however it says it will not open unless there is an emergency of the highest level or needs a key. So Jill takes the ladder down.
She goes through a set of double doors and hears the familiar moaning of zombies. She blows all three of them away, before trying to open another set of double door on her left but they need a computer key. She also finds another M.O. disk and takes it. So Jill goes downstairs to another pair of double doors pushing them open.
The Wesker siblings were watching Jill via camera in the main lab. "So she's finally here. Good now the combat data that we need will have good results." Wesker said.
"Yes, though we will have to do away with Burton and Chambers." Alex said.
"I know. A pity for Chambers but she's made her stance clear." Wesker said.
Jill puts down a letter she read, it about a man, his love and how their names are used as passwords in a computer. She organizes the x-rays like it said and then leaves into the west corridor, before heading through the doors into the central cloister.
She heads through a set of double doors on her left, arriving at a laboratory with a computer, blood and store house. She checks around gathering what she needs before going over to the computer. She inputs JOHN and ADA in, unlocks the third floor doors and the second floor doors that she tried earlier with the password CELL.
Jill logs off before going back to the west corridor and into the researcher's private room, blowing away a zombie that was in there. She find papers, a slide cartridge and a security system that can take an M.O. disk, which she inserts one. Once she leaves she checks out the only door she can't get through and sees that one of the three lights are now green. She then heads back to the second floor.
Once she gets there, Jill checks out a slide already prepared, sees the B. on screen as well as the staff who made, one of them is Albert Wesker.
'Wesker really is the traitor. Then what about Alex? Is she involved? What did they do to Barry? Is Rebecca ok? Chris... Now that I'm really thinking about it, he was acting strange till he left for Miami. Claire had also seemingly disappeared, before Chris left... What if they didn't leave for Miami? We haven't received a single postcard from them since they left weeks ago. Did they know about this? Did the Wesker's do something to them?' Jill can't imagine either Chris or Claire being a coward.
'Alex... she kept looking at me like I was a pest this whole time. It has to be because of Chris. They had met and now something has happened to them.' Jill realizes that the Redfield siblings are somehow apart of this.
She then puts the cartridge on the slide reader and finds a number code in red. She inputs it on a machine and a wall opens up to a recording area. She grabs an M.O disk before checking it out. She finds a key to the laboratory and puts in Kenneth's video that he had. As Jill watches it she thinks 'Oh, Kenneth you didn't deserve a death like that'.
After the video was done she goes downstairs to unlock a door and a set of double doors that she couldn't open from the computer. She decides to go through the double doors first and they lead into a morgue where she had to push a self to reach a vent. The vent takes her to a operating room where she finds a new creature that is insect like.
She gets rid of it before trying the doors but they have been rusted shut. So she goes through another vent, leading to another security system and pops in an M.O disk. Jill then shoves another self out of the way before leaving.
She takes the only remaining door that she did not go through in the central cloister. It was another t-shaped passage with zombies that she blows away with her shotgun. She checks the elevator on her left but it has no power. Jill the proceeds through the middle door finding a lounge area with a couple of items.
She then heads for a set of double doors leading to the power room. After taking care of a chimera, she checks the power and discovers there's no fuel, taking the capsule. She goes to the other side, dispatching two more chimeras before going through a door.
In this area she finds a third security system and puts in her last M.O. disk. She heads back to the western corridor to find out what is behind the triple locked door. She pulls down all threes levers before going past the now unlocked door and heads downstairs to find a cell. The cell had Rebecca in it.
"Jill!" Rebecca said as she gets up from the bed. "Rebecca! Thank goodness your safe!" Jill said.
"What happened?" Jill asks.
"I saw someone out in the courtyard and tried to follow them. It didn't go well and I got knocked out, I think Alex did it. When I woke up I was here." Rebecca tells her.
'So Alex is involved.' Jill tries to open the door, but it won't budge. "I don't think I can open this now. I'll come back for you." Jill said.
"Ok, don't forget." Rebecca said as Jill left.
Jill went to the private room and put the capsule inside a container. Once it was full she carefully walks back to the power room and put it back where she found it. She then went all the way to the power room itself, taking out chimeras as she goes, before finding the computer to turn on the elevator.
Jill goes back to where the elevator is and presses up. Barry then comes around the corner, "Hey you didn't wait." he said. The elevator comes up and opens, they go inside. Jill presses the down button.
As they are going down, "I've found Rebecca, but she's locked up. I'm hoping that whatever is down here can free her." Jill said. "I see." was all he said. They arrived at the bottom and walk down a passage to a door that opens up.
Inside the room is Albert and Alex Wesker who had just finished administering the virus in themselves.
"So this is where the two of you have been hiding." Jill said as she and Barry go up to them. Barry then points his gun on her, but Jill was not surprised.
"Ah, welcome Jill. Thank you Barry for keeping her still." Alex said. Wesker was finished typing.
"Let me tell you, taking the Burton family hostage is how we got Barry's cooperation." Wesker tells Jill. Jill was angry that they did that.
"So you made a slave of him, just as Umbrella made slaves out of you?" Jill asks.
"Please we have always been with Umbrella. Its just the t-virus escaped and now S.T.A.R.S has to go." Alex said.
"You killed Enrico." Jill said angry.
"He got into things he wasn't suppose to. There was no choice." Alex said.
"Yes. Barry go on ahead, we will take you to your family once this is done." Wesker said and Barry leaves.
"Got to love a family man, they do whatever you want in exchange for keeping their family safe." Alex said.
"You two are monsters... Where are Chris and Claire? What did you do with them?" Jill asks and Alex slapped her.
"You don't have to worry about them. They're safely tucked away until we get them." Alex said.
"Then what about Barry's family?" Jill asks.
"Oh, don't worry, neither we or Umbrella have the Burtons. We just needed Barry to keep you from smelling out the trail too soon." Wesker said.
"And now we will terminate our connection with Umbrella." Alex said.
"What are you up to?" Jill asked surprised at Alex's exclamation.
"Let us show you." Wesker said as he tapped another key.
Water left the tank and an almost human like creature was better seen. "Its beautiful." Wesker said with awe in his voice. He and Alex move closer to it.
"You had us brought here for this thing?" Jill was not impressed.
Then all of a sudden the Tyrant shoved it's claw hand through Wesker before tossing him like a sack of potatoes.
Alex backs away seemingly horrified, "No, premature..." she tries to say before it thrusts its claw at her too. She drops down dead like her brother.
A world away, Chris and Claire got chills.
It then turns towards Jill, who was frozen, then a gunshot rings out hitting the creature.
Jill turns and sees Barry holding his magnum. "Need a little help?" he asks. "Yes!" Jill said before unloading her own magnum on the tyrant. After twelve shots they had finished it.
"Jill... I'm so sorry, but until I heard them say they didn't have my family..." Barry tries to explain but Jill raises her hand silencing him. "This was not your fault. It's Umbrellas. Now let's get the hell out of here and make them pay." Jill said.
The door was locked but upon finding some notes on Wesker's person they were able to locate the electronic lock and release it. They leave to get back on the elevator, "Jill we should get rid of this place. From what I heard from them the virus is still around." Barry said.
"Agreed, I'll take care of that and get Rebecca. Can you clear us a path?" Jill asked him.
Barry readies his gun," No problem."
When they reached the top Barry went on ahead to take care of any creatures remaining and Jill went to the power. She find the computer needed to blow the mansion sky high and activates it. Warnings go off as Jill races back to the detention area and opens the door.
"Hey what's going on?" Rebecca asks.
"This place is going to blow let's get out of here!" Jill said.
"Oh here I found this!" Rebecca said giving her some grenade shells.
"Thanks, now let's go!" Jill said and they leave the cell.
As they run, "Just to let you know... I found Enrico but..." Jill says.
"I see." Rebecca is sad to know that she is the only left of Bravo team.
They meet up with Barry to the helipad entrance. "Let's go you two." he said and opens the door. As they make their way to the helipad itself they find a fuse to work the elevator. Jill puts it in its proper place however they hear moaning noises from the zombies.
"Rebecca and I will take care of this! Go up top and get Brad's attention!" Barry said, Brad had come through on the radio that he was going to leave if they didn't give him a sign.
"All right you two stay safe!" Jill said as they took off.
The elevator arrives, she gets on and arrives on the roof. She sees a signal flare box, opens it and presses one button, causing it to go up. She hears the helicopter and sighs in relief. The elevator comes up again revealing Barry and Rebecca, who come out wearing smiles but then a noise is heard.
The tyrant appears from below and knocks out Barry. It then grabs Rebecca and was about to kill her, when Jill shoots her grenade launcher at it. Rebecca is put down and it charges at Jill instead. She moves out of the way.
'I need something else!' Jill thinks as she is running out of ammo.
Then a rocket launcher is dropped, it was Brad.
"Use it!" he said.
Jill grabs it and fires at the tyrant, it explodes killing it for sure.
Brad was able to land and pick them up. As they flew away the mansion is destroyed, taking the nightmares it made with it.
Barry was checking over his gun, Rebecca had fallen asleep and Jill was thinking deeply.
'I will find you both.' Jill vowed to find the Redfield siblings.
Now the nightmare is over, what is the aftermath? Find out next time.
I never liked Capcom's lack of explanation as to Rebecca and Barry, just randomly appearing safe after the mansion, depending which story you play.
So this is my idea with Jill's story on how it fits together.
