A Power Couple
Chapter 24
You made me feel as though I was enough.
But I wanna stay with you until we're grey and old.
Oh, and you look as beautiful as ever.
I promise 'til death we part like in our vows.
A few weeks later
I awoke slowly. The rain pouring down. The sky grey and dark.
My hands went to my stomach. "Welcome to the party little one." I said.
I got out of bed. And went to my mirror. Lifting up my red nightgown. 10 weeks now.
A starter baby bump had officially taken. And i couldn't be more joy filled about it.
I got left our bedroom and going through the hallway.
Down the stairs into the kitchen. It was a cinnamon waffle morning. Some bacon. Eggs.
I knew my way around this kitchen. Lucas's career required him to be at work more plus i did drop off and pick up with the boys from school.
They neeeded to be fed at various times when they were home but especially before and after school. So i made it a point to learn how to cook some dishes plus i had help from Karen so i know its delicious.
"Boys time for breakfast.!" I called everything was done and plated around the table.
Minutes they came down wearing raven themed PJS . And Lishia wearing book themed PJS.
"Morning momma!" They proclaimed. As they sat down at the table beside each other. The brothers looking more like their mom as time went on.
"Morning my sons." Brooke said. Kissing their foreheads.
As Lucas quietly appeared. He had been just watching his family taking it in. How far they had come.
"Daddy." The boys with happy smiles.
"Morning kiddos." Lucas said. Ruffling their dark brown locks. Before hugging them.
"Mrs. Brooke Scott." Lucas said.
"Morning Luke." Brooke said. She beamed smiling up at him.
He wrapped his arms around her. Kissing her softly.
Brooke kissed him back. Caressing his face once they pulled apart.
