later on that day

"Lunch is here." Lucas announced as he made his way through the front door of Clothes over bros.

Brooke got out from behind the register. And walked over to him.

"My favorite author. You didn't have bring me lunch. I still don't know what i want anyway."

"You're baby has a taste for everything." Brooke replied.

Lucas smiled. Leaning over to kiss her. And put his hand on her stomach.

"Things have changed." Lucas said.

"I'm showing. I'll get bigger soon then we'll be able to share our exciting news. I'm barely able to hold it in when i'm around our friends and Karen."

"But i know its important. It'll be alot less stressful once the risk is down." Brooke replied.

"But the risk is surrounding the whole pregnancy. The delivery."

"I want to excited and look forward but my stomach is in knots when appointments come up with the pregnancy."

"When i think about the delivery and everything that could happen. I know we agreed to bring this new life forward. But what if we'll asking for too much here." Lucas admitted.

"I have my worry and concern. But i also know she's on the way and bringing her into the world. Holding her. Loving her. Experiencing life together. We'll look back at this time one day and realize our journey all we endured brought her to us."

"And that nothing else matter."

"I'll be hopeful and positive for us both." Brooke proclaimed.

"For the nursery. I want warm. Cozy. Colorful. For her to feel loved and safe there." Brooke added in.

"We'll make sure of that. Whatever you want." Lucas replied.

"We're hungry. What did daddy bring daddy bring us Lilla." Brooke said. Putting her hand on her stomach.

" Black bean and sweet potato tacos. With fries. And fruit smoothie." Lucas said. Handing her the bag.

"Yum. You're not going to eat?" Brooke asked.

"I ate in the car. Before i came here. You enjoy." Lucas replied.

Brooke ate it all in half an hour. With 30 minutes left of her break.

She leaned over to kiss him. "Thank you."

"I love you." Brooke said.

"I love you too." Lucas replied. Kissing her again.

Brooke soon felt him wrap his arms around her.

And pick her up. She smiled as he placed her on a solid surface.

"We shouldn't be doing anything like this." Lucas said. Quickly composing himself.

"Luke." Brooke said softly.

"I'll see you after work." Lucas replied. Once he helped her down and made his way out the door.
