A Power Couple
Chapter 27
In the morning
Brooke awoke and heard knocking at the bedroom door.
She got out of bed and soon heard Lucas calling out to her to unlock the door.
"Brooke what is going on?" Lucas asked.
"Go away. Wherever you spent last night stay there." Brooke replied.
"Talk to me Brooke." Lucas insisted.
Brooke sighed deeply and unlocked the door.
There in front of her stood her husband.
Wearing the same clothes he had yesterday. Looking confused.
"When i was ready to leave i looked for you and saw you kissing some woman. She had blond hair. The two of you."
"Looked very comfortable. Who was she?" Brooke asked.
Lucas sighed deeply unable to look her in the eyes.
"You weren't supposed to see that. I didn't plan for that to happen."
"I called her and i wanted her to show up."
"She was just listening to me talk. No advice no judgement."
"And then we hugged then she kissed me and i didn't pull away."
"I should of. I know i was wrong. I should of found you and took you home but instead i acted out of impulse."
"Nothing else is going to happen between me and Lindsey." Lucas insisted.
