authors note: Lucas is dealing with the reality of Brooke's pregnancy what the outcome could really be and he reached out to Lindsey because he wanted too. Her to listen. To find comfort in. He wanted someone not connected to the situation unlike their friends. With Lindsay she's on the outside looking in. And that is how Lucas has been feeling about this pregnancy.
"Brooke don't make this more then it is. It was a stupid foolish mistake. One night shouldn't take away from all we've gone through."
"I'll take the boys to school. You relax. When i get back. We can keep talking." Lucas insisted.
"I just need to shower. I slept in my car." Lucas added in.
Brooke sighed deeply. She didn't respond.
Her mind racing with thoughts. Her heart aching.
She listened to him turn on the shower. His clothes laying on the ground.
She went over and searched his pant pocket.
Once she found his cellphone. She turned it on.
Searching his messages. His mixed calls.
Finding nothing but old messages already opened from people they knew. She decided to call Lindsey.
Just to see and hear her reaction to getting his call.
She held the phone to her ear. And listened as Lindsey picked up.
"Hey. Last night couldn't have been more special and meaning to me. I don't know what it meant to you but i'm here. And i want to be there for you. I care about you. For so long now. Luke." Lindsey said.
Brooke felt her stomach twist. Her heart sink.
She ended the call. And waited for him.
None of this felt right. And she needed to know what really happened.
