weeks later
I called over to my boys to bring them off the roof after playing tag and any other game they could think of after school.
They got their bookbags and started to make their way towards the front door. As i doubled checked that everything was closed down for the night.
"We are out of here. Off home. Dinner. Movie then bedtime." Brooke said. With a smile.
"Toy story!" They exclaimed in unison.
"We'll decide which one when we get home." Brooke added in.
As the door to Clothes over bros opened and soon entered.
A man with a gun demanding money from the register.
Brooke felt herself instantly shield the boys.
"You can have it all. Just don't hurt my sons." Brooke said.
As she made her way over to the cash register.
Handing over all the money in there.
Before the guy ran off into the night.
"Its okay. It's alright boys. Momma's fine." Brooke said.
Wanting to reassure her. As they clung to her tightly and cried.
