Hello, everyone. Here is Chapter 2 of Multiverse Odyssey. I didn't update last week because of two things.
One, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is going to be released soon so I've been playing Remake to get myself ready.
Two, we kind of went through a freeze in my area so we've been having spotty internet, but thankfully things are back to normal.
Now, let's get on with the chapter.
Chapter 02: Tenrou Island
Unknown Location
In a circular chamber a crystal ball was showing where Yuya and Naruto had disappeared from in the Five Great Nations.
"Everything is in motion."
"We are taking a big risk with this move. The existence of the Multiverse was to remain secret from all individuals."
"One cannot keep something in the dark for long. It would only take a tiny ray of light to illuminate the truth."
"Will you quit it with the philosophical sayings and speak normally like the rest of us."
"Now, now, Igneel. I know it's in your nature to be impulsive, but as the dragon that symbolizes harmony between your kind and humans, you should try to be calm."
"Queen Serenity is right. We have much to learn from Lord Hagoromo."
"Of course, you would say that, Shadi."
"As long as the Dark Phoenix are around, all universes are at risk of annihilation. We must do what we can to protect these worlds, otherwise they will share the same fate as the United World."
"Very well, I guess I'll go ahead and do my part. See ya." A loud sound of flapping wings echoed.
"Almost all the main players are here."
Volcanic Region
A young man with spiky, pink colored hair, black eyes and a white scarf opened his eyes as he found himself standing on molten rocks as lava flowed through the cracks. Volcanic ash had covered the sky and it was extremely hot, but the heat didn't bother him.
"This is new. Never had a dream start like this." The young man looked around.
"Natsu…" A growling voice called out.
"Huh?" Natsu perked at the voice.
"Natsu…come to me…" The voice called again.
"I know that voice…Igneel?" Natsu ran across the molten rocks. "Igneel! Igneel!" Natsu called out as his kept running.
Natsu screeched to a halt as the ground ahead of him erupted and a large red dragon appeared and let out a mighty roar. "Igneel! It is you!" Natsu smiled as tears formed in his eyes.
"Natsu, you've grown, my boy." Igneel smiled.
"Igneel, I've been looking everywhere for you. I know this is a dream, but can you tell me where you are now?" Natsu asked.
"I'm afraid I cannot tell you that Natsu." Igneel answered.
"What? But why?" Natsu asked.
"Despite how I look, I'm actually very weak right now. I need to focus on my recovery." Igneel said.
"Weak? Does that mean I'm stronger than you now!" Natsu got excited.
"Natsu, listen—" Igneel tried to speak.
"Alright, I'm all fired up!" Natsu charged at Igneel.
"Natsu—" Igneel tried to speak to his son again.
"This is for leaving me! Fire Dragon Iron—" Natsu was quickly wacked down to the ground by Igneel's hand.
"I may be weak but I can still put you in your place." Igneel scolded. "Besides, haven't I told you to slow down instead of charging head-on."
"Come on, Igneel, you know that's not my style. Besides, I always win my fights in the end." Natsu smiled.
"And your wins have caused a lot of collateral damage and trouble for your guild." Igneel said.
"Why are you getting on my case on that? Even you said it yourself that it's okay to go overboard!" Natsu got mad.
"Yes, once in a while, not every single day." Igneel scolded. "You still have a long way to go before you can succeed me as the Fire Dragon King."
"King? I don't care about being a King. I just want answers from you. Why did you abandon me? Why are here in my dream now? What about Gajeel's and Wendy's dragons?" Natsu asked.
"That attitude is another reason I won't reveal my location or explain myself to you. You're not mature enough to understand my reasons." Igneel argued. "The only reason that I called you here is to warn you about your S-Class Promotion Exam."
"Wait, how do you know about that?" Natsu asked.
"I'm much closer than you think Natsu, I've known about everything you've done ever since you joined that guild. Your battles, your bonds even your little secret about—" Igneel smirked.
"Okay, okay, you don't have to say anything else. But what is there to worry about. It's just an exam." Natsu didn't see the problem.
"I felt a change around the world. Something is gonna happen, whether it is good or bad, I don't know. Just be on your guard." Igneel said.
"Hm? What's in it for me?" Natsu asked, making Igneel sigh.
"I'll give you answers. But only if you become S-Rank." Igneel flew into the sky.
Magnolia – Natsu and Happy's Home
Natsu woke up as the sun's rays hit him in the face. "Igneel…" Natsu looked at his scarf and clutched it. "Now I have more of a reason to be S-Rank."
"Natsu! Let's go! Everyone is already heading out to Hargeon!" Happy, a blue Exceed shouted to Natsu.
"Right." Natsu grabbed his bag and headed out towards Hargeon Port, where he would take part in the Fairy Tail Guild's S-Class Promotion Exam.
Tenrou Island
Tenrou Island, sacred ground to the Fairy Tail Guild, the reason for its secrecy was because the very first master of the guild, Mavis Vermillion was put to rest here that it released a powerful wave of magic that prevented other people from seeing it, other than members of Mavis's Guild.
But those rules were about to be broken.
Tenrou Island – Mavis's Grave
A bright flash of light ejected Yuya and Naruto onto the island's surface. "Ow…" Yuya rubbed his head.
"Ow, I think I broke my butt bone." Naruto rubbed his butt. "Hey, what is this place?"
"I don't know." Yuya said. He looked at his Hero's Honor Duel Disk. "Why did the Duel Disk glow all of a sudden."
"Get it to glow again, I have to get back to Pervy Sage." Naruto insisted.
"I didn't make it glow, it just happened." Yuya answered.
"Geez, it's really hot." Naruto was sweating so much. "I'm sweating like a pig here."
Yuya eyed Naruto and he was sweating more than usual, but Yuya was only sweating a little. He wondered if Naruto was still thinking about what happened when he Dueled Sasuke. "Hey, back there in the ruins." Yuya spoke.
"I don't want to talk about it." Naruto quickly responded.
"I'm sorry, I was just—" Yuya apologized.
"I appreciate it but I don't need your sympathy." Naruto sternly stated. "Those things weren't real, they would never say things like that. I know it…" Naruto trailed off a bit.
"Your friend was only trying to help you."
Both Yuya and Naruto turned to see a small girl with long blonde hair, bare feet, and wearing a white and pink dress. "There's nothing wrong with leaning on a friend for support."
"Look pipsqueak, he and I aren't friends, we're just stuck together until he can get me back home. So why don't you go buzz off." Naruto shove Mavis, but his hand went right through her.
"Huh?" Naruto was confused. He moved his hand through Mavis again and again and again.
"I'm Mavis Vermillion and this is my grave." Mavis introduced herself.
"GHOST!" Naruto screamed loudly and ran away, leaving a trail of dust behind.
"H-Hey, Naruto!" Yuya called out but Naruto was long gone. "He's gone…"
"Are you Yuya Ryuga?" Mavis asked Yuya.
"Uh, yes…but how do you know who I am?" Yuya asked.
"Oh, we've actually been keeping an eye on you. You're kind of an inspiration." Mavis smiled.
"We?" Yuya asked.
"Oh, don't worry, you'll meet the others soon. Anyway, I'm glad that you're here. I have something for you." Mavis put her hands in a prayer and a bright gold light appeared between her and Yuya. The light formed into a gold piece of armor and it attached itself to Yuya.
"Whoa, hey?" Yuya felt the weight of the armor on knock him off balance a little bit.
"Not every battle you are in will involve a Duel Monsters match, you'll have to learn how to fight the old-fashioned way." Mavis said.
"I have to learn how to actually fight?" Yuya questioned.
"Your monsters are strong, but they can only help you while you have the strength to call them out, if you're taken out, nobody is gonna come and help you, especially if you're on your own without your comrades." Mavis advised.
"That makes sense." Yuya looked down at the armor. "But what's the point of this armor?"
"That armor can only be used by you. It has the ability to take in the power of your Duel Monsters. Go ahead, try it out." Mavis smiled.
"The power of my monsters…so it's like my Odd-Eyes Armor card. In which case, I know the perfect monster to try first." Yuya searched through his deck and he smiled at one particular card. "Hello, old friend. Give me your power!" Yuya played his card on his Duel Disk. "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"
Odd-Eyes appeared in front of Yuya and he roared with immense power as he got the power of Pendulum back. "Here we go! Duel Armor, activate!" Yuya shouted and Odd-Eyes went into Yuya's Duel Armor and the armor expanded into a red and white dragon scale armor with blue orbs around the joints and a helmet with a red and green eye holes.
"Nice…" Yuya smiled. He did a few punches and a swing kick. "It's great to fight alongside you again, Odd-Eyes."
However, Odd-Eyes didn't respond. He didn't even smile when he saw Yuya. "Huh? Odd-Eyes? What's wrong?" Yuya asked, but Odd-Eyes ignored him.
"It's as I feared." Mavis thought as she watched Yuya.
The armor returned to normal and Yuya felt himself get exhausted. "Whoa, why am I so tired?"
"Don't worry, your body will get used to the power the more times you use it." Mavis advised. "Here, take this as well." A dragon shaped sword appeared in front of Yuya.
"Whoa…" Yuya took the sword and he was amazed by its beauty.
"Now that my role is done, the rest is up to you. Bye." Mavis smiled and waved before disappearing.
"Wait, what am I supposed to do?!" Yuya cried out, but it was too late. "I guess I better go find Naruto."
Fairy Tail Ship
On a ship heading to Tenrou Island were the participants of the S-Class Promotion Exams as well as their Guild Master, Makarov Dreyer. There were 8 candidates for S-Class and they were allowed to ally themselves with a partner from their guild.
Natsu, of course, teamed up with his best buddy, Happy. The two have been together since Natsu hatched him from an egg.
The second team was that of Natsu's rival, Gray Fullbuster and Loke, aka Leo, one of the 12 Celestial Spirits that represented the Zodiacs.
The third team was the Water Mage, Juvia Lockser, a former member of Fairy Tail's rival guild, Phantom Lord and her partner, Lisanna Strauss, who had the ability to change into any animal and take on their characteristics.
The fourth team was Cana Alberona, she had taken the S-Class exams multiple times and she vowed this would be her last one with her partner being a new member, Lucy Heartfilia, who was a Celestial Wizard who had 10 of the Gold Zodiac Keys and Natsu's best friend besides Happy.
The fifth team was Elfman Strauss, the older brother of Lisanna who could turn into a beast and his partner Evergreen, the only female member of Fairy Tail's Thunder Legion.
The sixth team was Levy McGarden, who is extremely book smart and could create magic using words called Solid Script, her partner was Gajeel Redfox, who like Natsu, is a Dragon Slayer but his style is Iron.
The seventh team was Freed Justine and Bickslow, both were the other members of Fairy Tail's Thunder Legion team.
And the final team was Mest Ryder and his partner Wendy Marvel, Wendy is like Natsu and Gajeel, a Dragon Slayer. Her magic focuses on the Sky as well as enhancement magics that could help herself and her teammates.
"Now, I will explain the rules of the first trial!" Makarov Dreyer, master of the Fairy Tail guild, spoke down to the group of 15 wizards and 1 Exceed.
"Take a look at the far side of the island, you will see smoke rising, that is where you will start on the island. As you go through it, you will come across eight paths. Each of them will end at the same area, but not all paths will run the same way." Makarov created a map and some paths were marked Combat, Intense Combat and Serenity.
"Four of these paths will lead to combat, which is pretty self-explanatory. Two teams will meet each other in the middle and engage in combat. The winning team will continue through the exams."
"Three paths are intense combat, the reason being is that one of the S-Class Wizards on this path will be blocking your path. Those that get on this path must prove their worth in front of these S-Class wizards to continue the exams. It will be challenging, but it's not impossible."
"And finally, we have the Serenity Route, this route has no obstacles and is a one-way ticket straight to the next exam. This exam will ultimately test your strength, your courage and your luck."
"How can you test luck?!" Some of the wizards were baffled by this.
"A maximum of six teams will be allowed to move forward, but we could also have a minimum of three teams. Remember, this is not a race. However, once a path is taken by a team, that path is sealed off. So, choose wisely but quickly too." Makarov advised. "Now then, if you're ready, the trial begins now!"
Tenrou Island – Five Minutes Later
Natsu and Happy arrived at the area where they saw the paths. "Do you feel that Natsu? There's so much magic energy here that it's freaking me out." Happy sweated.
"Yeah…" Natsu felt the magic as well. "Come on, let's go!" Natsu and Happy ran and noticed that route A, B, F and H were sealed. "Man, Freed really slowed us down."
"Half of the routes have already been taken." Happy said. "Well, which one should we pick? You choose."
"Hm…" Natsu looked at the remaining routes. "Let's go with Route E! I bet we'll have to fight Erza if we pick that one."
"That's definitely not a path I would choose." Happy got worried.
"There's no better way to prove that I'm S-Class Material by beating an S-Class wizard. And besides, I have much more at stake than a promotion." Natsu started running.
"What are you talking about?" Happy was confused. Ever since they left the house, Happy has noticed that Natsu's mind was on something else other than the exam.
"Watch me, Igneel. I'll prove that I'm S-Class and then you'll answer my questions." Natsu thought.
Tenrou Island – Beach
Naruto panted as he dunked his head into the ocean water. "Gah!" Naruto gasped as he raises his head out from the water. "I can't believe that was a ghost. I don't need this kind of thing right now."
Naruto then got upset and started punching the muddy sand. "That stupid Yuya, I can't believe he got me transported away from Pervy Sage! I'm supposed to be training to bring Sasuke back, not babysitting that guy."
"I would do anything for my family, I thought someone like you would understand!" Yuya's words echoed in Naruto's head.
"Did you really have to rub it in my face." Naruto sighed. The topic of family has always been a sore subject for Naruto and he was jealous that Yuya had what he always wanted.
"What am I thinking? I'm way stronger than him, and I proved myself in those ruins that I have the brains too. I can find my way home by myself." Naruto stood up. "Okay, an ocean, a beach, a forest and a ghost. I'm on a haunted island. Okay, I got my bearings now…"
Naruto looked around before he noticed smoke rising nearby. "A fire…that means there's people here, oh, thank god!"
Naruto ran towards the fire where unknown to him, he was passing a route that was labeled A.
Tenrou Island – Forest
Yuya walked through the forest. "Naruto! Hey, Naruto! Where are you?!" Yuya called out. "Geez, he's a fast runner."
Yuya pulled out his Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon from his deck. "Hey, Odd-Eyes. Talk to me." Yuya talked to the card but he didn't receive a response.
"What's wrong? It's me, you're best friend." Yuya was getting really concerned as Odd-Eyes continued to not listen to him.
"I don't understand…why…" Yuya then felt a strong wave push him and his eyes widened.
He saw the LDS building as well as his Duel School turning into nothingness, he saw people disappearing and turning into ash.
He then saw Den City, Academia, Heartland and Neo Domino City drifting apart once again while Maiami City was transforming into something else, a different city entirely.
Yuya gasped and he fell to his knees as he started to pant. "What the hell was that? The United World was…and those people…gone just like that…my kids…my wives…my family and friends…"
Yuya quickly got to his feet. "I got to get back, ASAP. I need to get off this place." Yuya looked around and he saw a cave. "I'll take my chances with you." Yuya ran into the cave, unaware that it was marked as D.
Tenrou Island – Route E
"Hey, Erza! Quit hiding and fight me! I'd like to kick your butt today!" Natsu called out.
"Natsu, we don't even know if this is her route or not. You got to remember that." Happy pointed out.
"No, I chose E for Erza so it's gotta be her path! I'm gonna claim the title of S-Class wizard, I'll have a ball kicking Erza's teeth in while I do it and Igneel will finally get me answers!" Natsu shouted.
"Wait, what? What about Igneel?" Happy perked up. "You found him?"
"Well…not exactly…He came to me in a dream." Natsu said. "He said he would give me answers if I became an S-Class Wizard, that and to be careful with these trials."
"Careful with the trials? What does that mean? Did Igneel see something was gonna happen?" Happy asked.
"He said something was gonna happen, but whether that was good or bad, he didn't clarify. But he was gonna answer my questions if I became an S-Class Wizard, that's why I can't waste anymore time here. This could get me answers to why Igneel left and maybe something on Wendy and Gajeel's dragons too." Natsu clenched his fist.
"I can understand you wanting to help Wendy, but Gajeel? Don't you still hate his guts for what he did during his time with Phantom Lord?" Happy asked.
"I can never forget what he did." Natsu said. "But…he's like me, a Dragon Slayer. I feel like I owe him this much. After all, without him, I wouldn't have been able to defeat Laxus during the Harvest Festival. And in all honesty, I'd rather work with him than Gray."
"Wow, I never thought I hear those words coming from your mouth."
Natsu and Happy stopped when they saw someone near the end of the cave. At the end was Gildarts Clive, Fairy Tail's strongest S-Class Wizard. "I guess you've matured a little bit, Natsu. Either way, if you want to continue, you have to get past me and I don't know how to hold back."
"Heh…I was looking for Erza…but I got someone better." Natsu's entire body was shrouded in flames. "I'm all fired up now!"
Tenrou Island – Route A
"Almost there." Naruto smiled as he was close to where the smoke was. "Hey, I need some—"
"Ah!" Naruto stopped when he saw an extremely buff man and a woman with glasses get blown away.
"Help?" Naruto whimpered.
"We're so screwed." The buff man grunted.
"I can't believe that she's the person we had to run into." The woman said.
Naruto looked at where the pair were looking and he instantly trembled. Standing in front of them was what appeared to be a half human, half demon creature. It had long white hair, a steel tail and scaly arms and claws.
"I'm not holding back just because you're my little brother. Understood." The demon said.
"Wait, little brother?" Naruto looked back and forth between the buff man and the demon lady. "No wonder Shikamaru said women are scary."
"Who are you?" Naruto jumped when the she demon saw Naruto.
"Look, I don't want any trouble, I just want to get the hell off this stupid island." Naruto said.
"What did you say?" The she demon's aura intensified.
"Uh oh. That boy is Mirajane's next target. But that's good for us Elfman." The woman said.
"What do you mean, Evergreen?" Elfman asked.
"While Mirajane is distracted by that boy, we head for the exit, and we pass the first trial! The Master did say this trial would test our luck." Evergreen said.
"He did say that. Though it's not really manly to run away from a fight." Elfman said.
"But it is manly to work smarter, not harder." Evergreen pointed out.
"Yeah, that's true. Smart men are real men." Elfman smiled.
"This island is a sacred ground for our guild." Mirajane glared at Naruto.
"This ugly place is sacred? If that's true, then my sacred place is my toilet. I mean look at this place, it's disgusting." Naruto insulted.
"Soul Extinctor!" Mirajane gathered a dark orb in her hands and fired it at Naruto.
"Whoa!" Naruto dodged the orb, but the orb but when it hit the cliff nearby, it created a large destructive blast.
"Hey, this is kind of overboard for a comment, don't you think." Naruto shouted.
"I won't forgive anyone who ridicules the sacred land of Fairy Tail." Mirajane released more aura.
"Fairy Tail…that's a stupid name." Naruto said and Mirajane launched another blast and this time it hit Naruto and sent him crashing into the sand.
"Okay…the gloves are off." Naruto glared at Mirajane, any fear he had now was gone. "You just made this personal."
Tenrou Island – Route E
"Happy, what are you doing?" Natsu saw Happy taking Natsu's bag to the exit.
"Figured we might as well head home." Happy said.
"Hey, come on. Have some faith in me little buddy. You know when I have goal in mind, I'll take on anyone who gets in my way. I'm gonna beat Gildarts down until he says mercy."
"Fine, mercy." Gildarts said.
"We haven't even started yet!" Natsu yelled. "Now I'll show you how stronger I've gotten in three years!" Natsu charged towards Gildarts.
"Hey, hold on, I'm not ready." Gildarts held up his hand as Natsu charged head on.
"You shouldn't rush in like that!" Happy warned.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu punched really hard, creating a fiery explosion, however, Gildarts was unharmed and blocked Natsu's punch with a single hand. He then released a wave of magic energy that struck Natsu and created a crater in front of him.
"I told ya. I don't know how to hold back." Gildarts said.
"How could you? Poor guy has been blown to smithereens." Happy cried.
"Yeah, right! He wishes!" Natsu landed a powerful knee on Gildarts, but Gildarts shattered the ground with gravity.
"Whoa, he shattered the ground to cushion to blow." Happy thought.
"There's more where that came from!" Natsu charged once more, but Gildarts effortlessly blocked the strikes and beat Natsu silly with punches and chops and hitting him on the head into the ground.
"He's beating him silly!" Happy panicked.
Natsu grunted but he kept going. "Natsu's serious. You can tell by the look on his face." Happy saw Natsu smiling. "That he's still smiling."
"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu let out a powerful roar.
"Yeah, you have gotten stronger. I'm proud of you Natsu. A dragon's son." Gildarts used his magic to cut down Natsu's fire breath. Suddenly, the ground shook, making Gildarts and Natsu pause both their magic.
"Whoa, what was that?" Natsu felt strong power.
"This power…heh, looks like both of the girls will get experience the power of the other universes first hand." Gildarts smirked. "Mirajane, a Take-Over Mage for demons, taking on the Jinchuriki of the Nine Tailed Demon Fox."
"And later, Erza Scarlet, Titania, will face against the Dragon Solider of legend. Let's see how your boys do against some of Fairy Tail's strongest, Jiraiya, Samejima."
"What is this pressure?" Natsu trembled. Natsu sniffed the air. "The smells…one smells like a dragon, the other…like a demon, but it's different. Different than they Deliora demon on Galuna Island."
"Natsu, are you okay?" Happy called out.
"Is this what Igneel was talking about?" Natsu was still thinking as he didn't listen to Happy. Natsu then looked at Gildarts, who was smiling. "Hey, do you know what's happening?"
"Let's just say…that some interesting fights are going to happen." Gildarts smiled. "That being said, you should focus on what you have to do now, Natsu. And that's getting past me."
Natsu tensed up as he prepared himself against Gildarts.
Tenrou Island – Route D
"Ah!" Yuya heard screams echoing in the cave.
"That doesn't sound good." Yuya ran further and further into the cave until he saw three girls fighting. It looked like a two on one fight as one girl wearing winter blue clothes and blue hair, and the other girl with short white hair were fighting another girl with long red hair and she was wearing some kind of armor.
"So strong…has she always been this powerful." The one in blue panted.
"Pretty much." The short haired white girl answered.
"You're going to have to do better than that Juvia. You'll never become an S-Class Wizard at this rate." The red hair woman spoke.
"Lisanna, do you know that armor?" Juvia asked.
"That's Erza's Sea Empress Armor, it nullifies all water-based moves." Lisanna said.
"I will do this. I will beat you! Water Slicer!" Juvia unleashed her attack but Erza cut through it.
"Whoa, she cut it through like it was nothing."
"I got you now, Erza!" Lisanna had bird wings and swooped down to attack, but Erza used her sword to flip and knock Lisanna down hard. "I'm just getting started Take Over!" Lisanna turned into a big purple rabbit.
"Looks like that girl can transform into any animal she wishes." Yuya thought. Lisanna changed again but Erza dodged.
"Water whip!" Juvia unleashed another attack but Erza cut it down and struck down both Juvia and Lisanna.
"I'm disappointed in you Juvia. You've got to be more creative. Attacking your opponent while they are fighting your partner is the most basic strategy you could've come up with. I expected much more. When we first met at the Tower of Heaven, you full of determine and spirit, there was a fire in your eyes. Where is that fire now? Tell me!" Erza attack both Juvia and Lisanna again, making them both scream.
"Show me that fire!" Erza went to attack Juvia.
"THAT'S ENOUGH!"
Erza sword clashed with Yuya's sword as he stood between her and Juvia. "What?" Juvia gasped.
"Who's that?" Lisanna was surprised.
Erza jumped away. "Who are you? And what are you doing here on Tenrou Island. This is a sacred ground and only members of Fairy Tail are allowed to set foot here."
"My name is Yuya Ryuga. I didn't know this was sacred ground, I just appeared here by accident."
"What do you mean, you appeared here?" Erza asked.
"Look, I don't have time to explain all the details, but I don't want to be here, I just want to go home. I have a family and friends that might be in trouble." Yuya answered.
"Hm…" Erza analyzed Yuya. "It doesn't look like you're lying, but you made a grave mistake in interfering here. Because of you, Juvia is disqualified from the S-Class Promotion Exam."
"Exam?" Yuya questioned.
"Our guild is holding a promotion exam here and Juvia is a candidate for S-Class. Her trial was to get past me to move on, but since you interfered in the fight, she has now lost the opportunity to be promoted." Erza explained.
"So, you're beating them up over a stupid exam." Yuya growled. This was like the Battle Royal back in Maiami Championship.
"This is necessary for them to know the dangers of being an S-Class wizard. As the examiner, I have to right to decide whether the participant is ready or not." Erza said.
"You're going too far! You may be an S-Class wizard to them, but me, all I see is a bully with a superiority complex!" Yuya insulted.
"Oh…" Erza gave off a death glare. "You want to say that again?"
"You are a bully! And a second, no, third, a hundredth-rate wizard!" Yuya copied one of his wife's insults.
"Your dead." Erza charged forward with her sword. Yuya raised his sword to block but then Erza quickly kicked him really hard and crashing into the wall.
"Urgh…" Yuya grunted.
"If you're smart, you would stand down and give up." Erza said.
"Sorry…giving up isn't my style." Yuya got up. He then activated his Duel Disk and played Odd-Eyes. "Appear! Odd-Eyes!" Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon appeared.
"Oh my!" Juvia's eyes widened.
"It's a dragon!" Lisanna exclaimed.
"You're sending a dragon to fight for you?" Erza prepared herself.
"Odd-Eyes is my friend! And we'll beat you together! Duel Armor, activate!" Yuya shouted and the armor glowed and Odd-Eyes went into the armor, changing Yuya's appearance.
Tenrou Island – A Path
"Rasengan!" Naruto clashed with Mirajane with his Rasengan. Mirajane used her magic to match the Rasengan, causing both of them to be blown away.
"You are strong, but it's obvious you cannot defeat me." Mirajane stated.
"Heh, that's what you think. I specialize in breaking everyone's expectations of me." Naruto smiled.
Tenrou Island – End of the First Trial
Makarov sat on a rock as Lucy, Cana, Gajeel, Levy, Gray and Loke were waiting since they finished their trials.
"Talk about lucky that we got the Serenity Route." Levy smiled.
"It's sucky. I wanted to bash some heads." Gajeel grumbled.
"Mest and Wendy were no match for us." Loke smiled.
"Though, I'm surprised you and Cana beat Freed and Bickslow." Gray looked at the girls.
"Hey, I promised Cana I would make her an S-Class wizard and a Celestial Wizard keeps her promise." Lucy said.
"We made it." Elfman and Evergreen appeared.
"No way, you both made it past an S-Class Wizard!" Gray was shocked. Since the other participants chose either Combat or Serenity, the only paths left was Intense Combat.
"Well…not exactly." Evergreen admitted.
"I said this test would be about luck, and you were both lucky Elfman, Evergreen." Makarov said.
"Well, luck is what makes a man!" Elfman made an excuse.
"It seems we have some uninvited guests." Makarov showed lacrima screens of the S-Class Routes.
"Natsu is fighting Gildarts." Lucy looked at Natsu's screen.
"Wait, who are those guys?" Gray saw Yuya and Naruto.
"Uninvited guests who have interfered with the exams." Makarov said. "But there's nothing to fear, Erza and Mirajane will show them why Fairy Tail is the best."
"I wouldn't be so sure, Makarov…"
Everyone turned to see Mavis. "F-First Master! What are you doing here?" Makarov was shocked.
"Wait, isn't the First Master dead?" Lucy asked.
"This is a Thought Projection of myself. I can see and hear everything that happens, though I'm not really here. You could call me a ghost." Mavis said.
"Creepy." Lucy and Levy shivered.
"Anyway, those boys aren't normal. They're both very special. This should be interesting fights to see. And besides…" Mavis looked at Natsu. "With this the main cast is fully assembled."

If you're wondering how Yuya and Naruto were able to enter Route A and D despite them being sealed off, the reason being is that they entered through the exit route instead of the entrance route. The exit route isn't blocked by any magic since the S-Class Wizard stationed there is the one blocking the path.
