Base commander's log, my Angel has been stopping by when she can to run scans and tests on me to see if there are any changes, but from what it sounds like she isn't finding anything. Not that I mind, its just nice to have the woman I love nearby after all the time I spent heartbroken and alone. I still miss her horribly when she's gone, but she's busy doing what she needs to. She's run some tests on Ams too, but without Moira's support or her files, which are noticeably absent from the Talon servers, there isn't much we can do to help her.
Winston doesn't seem to be trying to get any information out of Moira at all. In fact he seems to be more interested in trying to find someone to take custody of her. The problem is Talon would probably just try to break her out almost immediately, so that isn't going anywhere fast.
Ams herself seems to be wanting to help Overwatch since she was forced to work against them for so long, which I REALLY don't want her to do. She's been through enough, I don't want to see her getting hurt, or worse, recaptured by Talon. Most of Overwatch seems to be a little tentative about bringing her into their ranks, especially considering her history, but they seem to be willing to let her join on a trial run.
A couple of my spies seem to think Null Sector is gearing up for another attack, and it sounds like they might be looking at DC as their next target. So I've sent that info off towards Winston. Be nice to use the Assauter for something other than just going from one spot to another like I have been. I'll need to double check on it's weapon systems before leaving on a mission like that. Don't want to end up without my guns while in a fight.

John layed underneath the shuttle for an hour working on the antique GAU-8 Avenger. He remembered getting a few nervous glances when he "requisitioned" it from an old military graveyard and how he explained it as an upgrade from the modern GAU-34 he originally had mounted. Between firing 30mm rounds at almost 4000 rounds per minute compared to the 20mm rounds at around 3600 rounds per minute, there wasn't much of a downside except sourcing the depleted uranium shells.
That he actually got solved by some high ranking general who seemed to like having someone helping out his home city. Two star general Swanson got John a near unlimited supply of ammo from the remaining stock the US military had leftover from wars early in the century. In total, he had several hundred thousand rounds in crates at the far end of the landing bay, and more coming weekly. He smiled at the irony of the government once again arming a criminal after their bad history doing such and finally learning their lesson in the 2040s.
John finished up and rolled himself out from under the shuttle when he heard a shot from somewhere in the landing bay. He quickly got up and looked around only to see Amélie aiming at a target on a drone moving around at the far end of the room.
"You alright, Ams?" he asked as he walked over to his friend, who fired another shot at the target.
Amélie let out a sigh before replying. "I don't miss. Merde, I was almost hoping it was just what Talon did to me, but I had to have had years of training and practice with it..." she said as she hugged the American. "They made me do horrible things... Gerrard, Mondatta, I even killed Captain Amari..." she admitted into his shoulder. "I have to use this to help people instead of hurting the world like Talon made me do." she said, seemingly reassuring herself more than him.
"I know you want to, but I don't want to see you get hurt. Or recaptured." he said as he squeezed her tightly. "And also, you didn't actually kill Ana." he told her before she pulled away enough to look at him.
"She's alive?!" she exclaimed. "But I thought they made me kill her!
"Apparently she went into hiding, and didn't even tell Fareeha." he explained.
"That is wonderful!" she laughed. "She must be helping Overwatch too!"
"Well yes and no. She and the Chief, er, Commander Morrison are apparently chasing after Reyes. How well that is going is anyone's guess, considering they don't seem to contact Winston or anyone at Overwatch HQ very often."
"She's alive, at least." She said seemingly to herself. "Someone they didn't force me to kill..." she whispered as she pulled her friend back into a tight hug.
John held her in a comforting hug for a while before his computer chimed and she pulled away so he could check it. He opened it up and read the message that Winston sent him.
"Looks like Null Sector is on the move." he said as he read further into the message. "They're on the move to... Syracuse?" He asked no one in particular. "What the fuck are they looking for there...?"
"What all is there?" Amélie asked.
"Not a lot... a lot of old Roman shit, maybe some Greek stuff, but nothing I can think of being worth invasion..." he said unsure. "Maybe Sombra has something on it." he said as he input commands on the computer. Sombra's face popped up almost immediately after he began the call.
"Whatcha need, Loco?" she asked.
"Nullsec is on the warpath to Syracuse Italy of all places. Wanted to know if there was something we didn't know about it...?"
"Uhm, hold on a second..." she said as she began opening digital folders on her display. "Yeah, about fourty years ago some governments got together and set up a base on the island West of there that was labled top secret. Something about weapons production in the second cold war that predated the Omnic Crisis."
"Not the UN?" John asked.
"Nope, all countries who are UN members, America, France, Italy, Poland and Scotland, but they did it without the UN's knowledge."
"Any idea what kind of weapons they were building?"
"Looks like... woah, massive EMPs. Enough to drop a hemisphere to it's knees..."
"Great. No wonder Null Sector wants it."
