On a close up shot of wilderness, a few moments passed before our all too familiar host popped up to greet the audience. "Welcome Total Drama fans! We're back with a new season and one sure to knock the socks off ya!" Chris greeted the audience with both arms raised. He flashed his white smile, nearly twinkling in the camera.
Chris then raised one finger up, eager to share the details of the season. "32 fresh new faces ready to give it their all in the longest and toughest trek we've put these kids through yet!" he announced the size of the cast, ready to torture them all.
The camera then panned out to show the whole island, devoid of any modern amenities seemingly. "And they'll be coming ALL the way out here to this untouched Cree island in Muskoka, Canada!" he exclaimed.
Chris walked through the woods of the island now, gesturing to all of the wildlife. "This beautiful island is all theirs to roam, but with none of the amenities of past seasons! No cabins, trailers, they're all on their own!" Chris stated, showing that there really was only the wilderness with another brief zoom out.
A dark haired intern in a red hat walked up to the confessional and opened the door, showing that it was still intact. "The only thing they'll have are the watchful eyes of our cameras and intern, and the classic confessional to air out the frustrations they'll certainly have!" Chris declared off-screen.
Cutting back to Chris, he now put his hands on his hips, smirking at the camera. "So which of those suckers you'll soon meet will stick around to tell the tale? Find out right here, on Total, Drama, Paaaaaahkitew Island!" Chris finished the season introduction, raising his arms as the camera zoomed out for a wide shot of the island.
Intro Sequence:
The rock tune of I Wanna Be Famous started up, with sleek cameras popping out of various places. One in front of a waterfall, another in front of a tree, one from in a river Scuba Bear was in, and one knocking a pigeon off a rock before a clapper came in.
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine, you guys are on my mind
The camera zoomed toward the island, where Topher was blocking Chris, raising his arms up to match him before Chris shoved him away, wherein Surge pushed him further aside.
You asked me what I wanted to be
Going into the woods, Violet and Samey were picking berries together when Amy came by and dumped a bucket of berries onto her sister's head. Xander clicked a photo of the incident, and when Rodney came to bring flowers to Amy, she slapped those out of his hands angrily as well.
And I think the answer is plain to see
Heading towards a hill up to a cliff, Ally was chatting about her games with Leonard and VT, with the latter reaching into Ally's pocket and taking her Gameguy, making her smirk at her catch.
I wanna beeeeee famous!
At the top of the cliff, Sugar was berating Sienna angrily, and when Ryan went to say something, Sugar shoved him over the cliff.
I wanna live close to the sun
In a tree near the bottom of the cliff, Lexus was drawing the wildlife while sitting it, then showed it to Jasmine who gave an approving nod.
So pack your bags 'cuz I've already won
Dino was pitching a tent on ground level with Scarlett, who seemed to be getting annoyed at all his ordering around, while Repsac just watched from a distance.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there on day
Panning down a trail, Liana and Kaito were discussing gameplay with each other when Joseph ran up to them and blurted out a joke, with only him laughing.
Cuz I wanna beeeeee famous!
Near one of the camps, Laura was tidying up the place while Shelby was arguing the futility of it, before getting shut up by Beardo imitating the theme song with just his mouth.
Na na na nana, nananana, nananana
Cutting to the beach now, Whitney was nervously searching for something, when Dennis popped up from a rock and begin to demean her, while Ludwig just stood behind him and chuckled.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
Further down the beach, Harrison watched curiously as Max was putting some kind of machine together, but grew alarmed when Mike ran up to it with Ethel in tow and began to fiddle with it, only to make it blow up instantly.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
The explosion turned into sparks at night, panning down to the campfire where Leonard smiled at Lexus as they sat together, before Rookie popped up between them to investigate them, startling both. The camera panned out to show the rest of the cast whistling the theme, and a sign above them with the season name before the song ended on a riff.
After the intro, the episode resumed on a shot of a blimp with Chris's face plastered on it, flying through the sky toward the island. Inside, Sky, Joseph; a boy in a tidy white shirt and black pants with neatly combed brown hair, and Violet; a young girl in a blue blouse with a red belt were seen first sitting together.
Joseph seemed to be in his own head at the moment, so when Sky pulled out a pack of gum to make conversation, she turned to Violet first. "Hey, want some gum? I'm Sky, hoping to get off on the right foot with everyone here!" Sky introduced herself, holding a stick of gum out.
Violet shook her head and opened her mouth, revealing she already had gum. "Nah, brought my own! Been chewin' this one here for three years straight, you're lookin' at a world record holder!" Violet boasted, then went right back to chewing.
Sky lowered the stick, now looking impressed. "A world record holder? Wow! I'm working towards some Olympic records myself, best of luck to you in the competition then!" Sky commended Violet right away.
Butting in, Joseph leaned toward the girls and raised a finger coyly. "You know who WOULD want that gum though?" Joseph asked.
Sky and Violet shared an awkward look, before Joseph hopped up from his seat and pointed at them. "JOE MAMA!" he blurted out.
This was heard across the blimp, where VT, a Korean demigirl wearing a green beanie, yellow hoodie, and jeans right away snickered at the oddball joker. "Man, casting really is full of lazy nutjobs if that guy made the cut, amirite?" VT joked.
"Yeah, good one." a voice to her right agreed with her.
VT looked at who was agreeing with her, only to see it was Repsac, a guy completely covered by a sheet making him look like a ghost. No features could be made out besides his light skinned bare feet.
While VT was weirded out by Repsac, Lexus, a black girl wearing a purple starry shirt and gray overalls with yellow and purple shoes was enamored by his outfit. "Oh em gee! I didn't think that sheet was a person! That's such a quirky look. I wish I thought of something like that!" she exclaimed.
Repsac seemed delighted by the appreciation, looking at Lexus. "Thanks. Although you don't have to call me a person. I identify as a ghost." Repsac stated politely.
VT looked away from the two, now just annoyed. "Ohhhhkay... guess I'm the only normal one here. Great." VT complained to herself.
Over in another section of the blimp, 3 of the bookwormy contestants were sitting together. Scarlett, Kaito, a Japanese boy with blue and purple streaks in his hair, a purple starry scarf, purple jacket and black pants, and Liana, a black girl with blonde and black hair, a gray beanie, green jacket over a black shirt and jeans.
Ryan, a pale boy with dark brown air, wearing a green beanie and a matching green hoodie and boots along with thermal pants walked up to the three and waved to get their attention. "Hi! I'm Ryan, I played a bunch of ORGs before coming onto the show, welcome to Total Drama! I know we've all got plans ahead, but why don't we just get to know each other before it all starts?" he greeted them earnestly.
Liana spoke up first proudly, turning in her seat to face Ryan. "The name's Liana, you've been playing ORGs? I've been studying at Stanford for mathematics and game theory! Why bother with false modesty, I've got this in the bag!" Liana declared.
Kaito was impressed by both, but also had credentials of his own. "ORGs and studying? I intern for a professional astrophysicist! I'm sure I was casted for my work ethic and smarts, so watch my ambition take me to the end!" Kaito proudly introduced himself.
Scarlett observed how they presented themselves, then adjusted her glasses before speaking herself. "As for me, I'm applying to numerous universities at the moment, although I'm hoping to attend Harvard for law school. Like the others, I'm sure my smarts will enable a thorough run." Scarlett went over her goal.
Ryan was beyond impressed by the three, a little overwhelmed by their knowledge and accomplishments. "Pretty impressive, good to know! I didn't think the competition was so stacked this time! I guess I've got my work cut out for me trying to compete with esteemed scholars like you guys!" he praised them, one hand on his chin as he thought over them.
The four were then greeted by Dennis, an old man with gray hair, and wearing a black suit and red tie. "Ah! It would appear the intellectuals have gathered in one place! I'm sure you've all heard of me, founder and host of ProwlerU, so unless you're woke libs, I look forward to competing with you all!" Dennis introduced himself as he walked up to them.
Kaito right away grimaced at him, raising a finger. "I've heard of you, never thought I'd be stuck meeting THE Dennis Prowler here. If you're anything like on your show, then I hope you behave here, we're intellectuals like you say, so our strategies will make quick work of you!" Kaito threatened him.
Liana smirked, nodding in agreement with Kaito. "Exactly as he said! Strategists like us can easily dispatch someone that uses 'woke' as an insult. I'd quit now if I were you!" Liana warned him as well.
Dennis let out a huff, putting one hand on his hip. "Hmph, I see the radical left has already taken over this show. You aren't intellectuals, you've just got the woke mind virus! All you youngins seem to have it these days!" Dennis complained bitterly.
Ryan raised an eyebrow, not liking where this was going. "Hey, let's not start fights so soon. We haven't even reached the island, I don't think we need to be starting things off on the wrong foot like this." Ryan advised them.
Dennis again huffed, angrily looking at the four while Scarlett just sighed and didn't bother with this all. "Fine then, I'll let you libtards drown yourselves in your niceties and your 'strategy'! Only one person can win this thing, so I'll relish seeing you all scramble when you end up not being able to be soft friends to the end!" Dennis insulted them all.
Further down the blimp, Rodney and Whitney, a girl with long poofy blonde hair and wearing an oversized blue sweater and blue shoes had just overheard Dennis go off on the brainiacs. "Wow, I have no idea what they're talking about over there, but they sure sound smart, guess we've gotta watch out for them." Rodney told Whitney.
Whitney shook her head, lifting one hand, although it wasn't seeable thanks to her oversized sleeves. "I w-wouldn't listen to them... they sound like t-they aren't g-great people at all..." Whitney advised.
Rodney perked up, looking in the brainiacs' direction again. "Huh! Thanks for the heads up then! I've just never heard any of what they're talkin' about back on the farm." Rodney thanked her.
Xander, larger boy with blue dyed hair, a magenta jacket over a light pink shirt and black pants overheard them and jeered at Whitney. "Oh please! If some comments like that get you riled up, then you definitely aren't ready to play this game! Farm boy there doesn't even ave a clue what's going on. I give him a week here." Xander insulted Whitney.
Whitney gasped, covering her mouth for a moment as she looked at Xander. "W-What? You don't hear what they're saying? Y-You don't agree with them do you?" Whitney asked worriedly.
Instead of answering directly, Xander looked to Ludwig, a greek boy with curly hair, a blue long sleeve shirt and black shorts, and pointed at Whitney. "Get a load of this one! Can't take any joking around on the first day! Seen plenty of her type in my comment sections!" Xander joked.
Ludwig didn't seem to care though, raising one hand to chat. "That was joking? I thought the old guy was making a lot of sense there. But you look just a bit too fruity to understand him. Should have seen that coming." Ludwig remarked bluntly.
Xander frowned, giving Ludwig an odd look. "Aaaaand I've seen plenty of your type in the comments too, great to have you here..." he begrudgingly commented.
"Yo! Chris!? Where are you man!?" Topher yelled, running past them.
Topher ran to the back of the blimp, still not seeing Chris. Also back there was Sugar and Surge; a white girl with green hair in a ponytail, a torn black shirt and baggy yellow pants. "I just don't get it, normally Chris would've greeted us by now! Something's not right here!" Topher pointed out.
Topher then turned to Sugar, pointing a finger at her. "You've seen Chris around haven't you? I know someone here saw Chris when he first got on!" Topher accused Sugar.
Sugar right away got angry and pointed her nail file at him, making Topher's eyes widen with fear. "Quit yer yappin'! I ain't seen Chris, and if you keep goin', you'll wish you'd be seein' him instead of me!" Sugar threatened him.
Surge leaned in, annoyed as well. "Both of you shut up before I make you! Chris is probably just in the cockpit with Chef, y'know, flying the blimp. Morons." she insulted them, pointing out where he probably was.
Near the front of the blimp now, Ally was playing on her Switch while sitting next to Mike; a young boy with long brown hair, a green hat, a black shirt with a skull on it, a green jacket over that, and olive green pants, Ethel; a woman with matching brown hair and a white and green retro dress combo, and Sienna; a larger girl with long blonde hair, with a maroon shirt over a white shirt and jeans.
Mike saw that Ally was gaming and leaned in to see what she was playing. "Hey, whatcha playing on there? Somethin' with blood and guts huh, that'd be awesome!" Mike asked her.
Ally perked up and turned to Mike, pausing her game. "Oh! Just playing the new Blaze Badge game, figured an RPG would last me a few weeks here!" Ally answered excitedly.
Mike frowned, not liking her choice. "Are you serious? An RPG Not something actually cool? Give me that! I need to see your library!" Mike demanded, holding a hand out.
Ally frowned back, growing annoyed with him. "I don't have to show you anything. If you wanted to play something 'coo', you should've brought your own!" Ally snapped back at him.
Mike crossed his arms, glaring at Ally now. "Lame! Just like all the other she-gamers, you can't handle anything over rated E!" Mike now insulted her.
Ethel heard him start hurling insults and right intervened. "Mike, play nice sweetie. If you don't, they might want to vote you off!" she warned him.
Sienna raised an eyebrow at Ethel's words, looking up at her now. "'Sweetie'? Are you his mom by chance? I saw you two get on at the same time as well." Sienna asked her.
Ethel nodded, smiling at Sienna. "Yes I am! I'm Ethel, and you've clearly seen my little angel Mike! He's a little rambunctious sometimes, but that's normal for his age!" Ethel answered happily.
"A little rambunctious might be a bit generous wording there..." Sienna muttered to herself, not having the heart to say it to Ethel.
Laura, a tan girl with brown hair in twin ponytails in a black maid outfit saw Mike's behavior from where she was sitting and frowned, mostly out of concern. "Oh my... I've seen pampered children at houses I've worked at before, I didn't expect to see one here..." she commented.
Max was sitting next to her, and didn't seem all that bothered by Mike's behavior. "You think that's what you should care about? Pampered brats win all the time, you best prepare your forces if you want to beat them!" Max declared.
Right after Max said this though, a panel from the blimp's ceiling fell down and conked him on the head, knocking him out of his seat. "GAH!" Max let out as he fell down, startling Laura, Harrison; a Cree man with black hair and a light blue shirt and tie, and Shelby; a girl with glasses and brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a blue longsleeve shirt and skirt.
Laura looked down at Max with concern, shocked from the sudden panel falling. "Oh my golly, are you okay!?" Laura asked urgently.
Max stood up, swaying back and forth wobblily while rubbing the back of his head. "My dubious mind is intact, but it's ever hazy at the moment! Perfectly okay!" Max assured Laura woozily.
Harrison narrowed his eyes at Max for a moment, then looked to Laura. "Not to downplay this zeppelin falling apart while we're in it, but as a doctor I can assure you he'll be fine. Just eyeballing it from here I can already see no signs of bruising or blunt force trauma." Harrison assured Laura with much more certainty.
Laura smiled back at Harrison, letting out a sigh of relief. "Wow! That's a relief! Not the zeppelin falling apart part, I'll panic about that later. But great to have a doctor here, hopefully we're on the same team!" Laura told Harrison, already calmed down a bit.
Shelby scoffed, crossing her arms. "It's not like any of that matters. This is all a simulation. Any wounds this "doctor" heals in here have no effect on your actual being." Shelby stated.
Laura was offput by this, while Harrison perked up. "Ah! A nihilist! I know one when I hear one. I look forward to hearing what you have to say in the future!" Harrison exclaimed, while Shelby showed no emotion to his words.
Further into the zeppelin, Amy, seated next to Samey and Dino; a blonde hair and blue eyed boy scout in uniform, pointed up at the ceiling. "Hate to be asking this, but WHAT is up with this blimp? Is Chris trying to kill us!? Parts shouldn't be falling from the ceiling like that!" Amy cried out.
Dino turned to Amy with a confident look though. "Fear not ladies! For I have a scouts badge in aeromechanics! If anything gets dire, you can count on me!" Dino assured her while pointing at said badge on his sash.
Amy rolled her eyes, her fear quickly turning to annoyance. "Okay? A boy scout tying a knot around a missing panel isn't gonna save us from dying!" Amy argued right away.
Samey was still shaken though, pupils shrunk in fear. "I don't know Amy, maybe we should just trust him? I don't think we'd be able to do anything if things get worse!" Samey advised.
Amy turned her annoyance towards Samey now, snapping at her. "Zip it Samey! I'm right, he's wrong, and I didn't ask for your opinion!" Amy barked at her.
Samey looked at the floor now, letting out a sigh while still fearing for her life. "Alright then... I guess if we live this I'll be dealing with this all season..." she muttered.
Sitting next to Samey was Rookie; a tan detective with curly black hair in a beige detective outfit complete with a cap. He overheard Samey and right away spoke. "Don't worry, we'll definitely live this! Chris and Chef are aboard, and anyone could deduce that they wouldn't put themselves in harm's way!" Rookie guessed.
Just as he said that though, the zeppelin's windows lit up as lightning struck, with the thunder coming right after indicating how close the zap was to them.
The intercom turned on as red safety lights flickered, with Chef's voice coming through. "Hang on! This might get hairy!" Chef warned everyone.
"Crikey! What is that bloody host thinkin'!?" Jasmine let out as more parts started to fall.
Leonard saw the pieces falling and raised both hands to cast a spell. "This won't be how it ends! By the grace of Hrist, protection spell activate!" Leonard chants with his eyes closed. Beardo was standing right by him, and begin to mimic an emergency bell as panels fell right by him.
Lighting struck again, and Chris then suddenly appeared at the front of the zeppelin. "Hello newbies! Ready for some fun!" Chris asked everyone.
Dino hurried over and saluted, while Kaito rushed over in excitement. "Yes sir!" "Of course!" they exclaimed respectively, confusing Chris a little.
Chris looked at the two boys, then lowered his hands. "Huh, guess we got a couple of keeners. Guess we'll see if that attitude stays after a week or so of torture." Chris commented, then walked past the two as their excitement deflated a little.
Chris walked up to the first emergency exit, by where VT, Lexus, and Jasmine were waiting on one side of the door while the brainiacs were sitting on the other side. "As you can see, this aircraft stinks, and for that reason we have two emergency exits! One right here, and at the end of the cabin!" Chris began to explain, with the shot panning to the back of the cabin where just Surge and Sugar were waiting.
Chris then pointed to the crates VT was sitting on, offputting the girl on them a bit. "At said exits are parachute packs! Although only 10 actually contain parachutes!" Chris stated a little too gleefully.
"The rest of them either contain useless surprises or absolutely nothing! Neither will help while falling from the sky!" Chris added, with Violet and Sky sharing worried looks with each other at this news.
Ryan walked up to Chris, concerned about these terms. "Only 10? That can't be legal right? I know this show can get out there with safety but that seems... a bit much." Ryan pointed out.
Chris then pulled out a button with a red button on it, alarming Ryan and everyone around him. "We'll see if this is legal or a bit much then if you're so curious!" Chris remarked, then pressed the button.
As soon as Chris hit the button, the zeppelin's engine exploded, sending it into a freefall. Contestants began to run and scream as they hurried to get their parachutes. "Abandon base everyone! We've been hit!" Ally yelled as she ran to the middle exit.
Rookie flipped open one of the crates and grabbed his parachute first, swiftly getting it on. "World class detective here, I have first dibs! I can't die now!" he declared.
Harrison started to secure his parachute while Sienna ran past him to the back exit with hers. "Ohhhh I knew this was a bad idea! I should have just stayed home!" Sienna cried out.
Liana made sure her parachute was secure, but still had doubts about it. "Hmm... not sure my survival probability is that high, but it's my only option..." she pondered.
Leonard got his on next, and while Whitney tried to secure her parachute at the back exit, Jasmine pushed her out the zeppelin and out of the way. "MOVE!" Jasmine yelled in fear as she did so, while Ludwig just smirked as he jumped out of the zeppelin right with her.
Topher ran to the middle exit where Chris was, carrying two parachutes with him. "You really amped up things this season Chris! Bravo! I got a parachute for you just in case!" Topher commended Chris as he arrived.
Surge ran by and stole the second parachute from him though, quickly putting it on. "Outta my way suck up! I need that more than he does!" Surge yelled as she then jumped out of the zeppelin.
Seeing Topher fear for the host's safety, Chris gave a wave of dismissal. "Oh don't worry, she's right, I'm actually a hologram! No risk of harm to this beautiful host here!" Chris assured Topher.
Topher poked Chris after he said this, making the hologram glitch a bit from the touch. "Woah! Cool tricks up your sleeve as always Chris! Knowing you, you're probably already down on the island waiting for us!" Topher praised Chris.
Cutting down to the beach, indeed was Chris waiting down there. "And right Topher is! I'm down here on the shores of Pahkitew waiting to see just who actually survives the fall!" Chris confirmed Topher's guess.
Chris then raised a finger, smirking at the audience. "But just who will make it? And where will those teams sake up? Stay tuned to find out!" Chris told the audience, before then cutting to commercial.
After the commercial, the 32 players plus Chef and Ethel were plummeting towards the island now, ready to use their parachutes and see if they had actually gotten a good one or not. VT pulled her cord first, only for absolutely nothing to be in it. "Mannnn... and I grabbed the first one too! This rots!" she complained as she continued to fall.
Lexus pulled hers next, and a bunch of paintbrushes flew out the opening of her parachute. "No come back! I could use you!" Lexus called to the art supplies, flailing her hands to try and grab some of them.
Dennis was next to pull his parachute, grinning as an actual canopy came out. "Heh! Guess God is watching out for me after all!" he declared triumphantly.
Ally pulled her cord next, and grimaced when a bunch of Rubik's cubes came flying out. "Game over, guess I'll have to aim for a water landing like in Pilotwings!" Ally let out as she tucked her legs in.
Rookie pulled his cord, and just frowned when he saw nothing come out of his. "Hmm, I suppose I'll have to find my way out of this dilemma!" Rookie decided as he began to eye the others still falling.
Kaito opened his parachute next, letting out a sigh of relief when his opened. "Whew! I had a way to survive this fall with physics, but this is much nicer!" Kaito commented, much more relaxed now.
Violet opened her parachute next, rolling her eyes when nothing came out of hers. "Guess I'll have to handle this myself!" Violet declared, then stopped chewing her gum and started to blow a bubble with it.
Topher pulled the cord on his next, gasping when it too didn't have anything in it. "Oh come on! Well Chris wouldn't just kill us, I'll be fine!" Topher assured himself nonetheless.
Shelby was the next to activate her parachute, only for a bunch of globes of all things to fly out. "There goes my world, both literally and figuratively, as I'm probably dying in a bit. That's how this goes." Shelby said to herself, not at all bothered.
Sugar then opened her parachute, delighted to see that it actually worked. "HOO-WEE! That's Sugar's luck for ya!" Sugar exclaimed, giddy as she watched the others around her keep falling.
Sky opened her parachute after her, and gasped as a bunch of weights flew out of hers. "Is that why I was falling faster!?" Sky questioned, both in disbelief for her scenario and what just came out.
Mike was hanging onto Ethel, who was holding their parachute, although when she opened it only paper clips and staples flew out. "Way to go mom! Next time I'LL pick the life-saving parachute!" Mike sarcastically praised his mom, who was more concerned with how they'd live than his comment right now.
Surge yanked her cord once she was in a good position, although nothing came out of it. "DAMN IT! Chris you rotten geezer!" Surge complained angrily, shaking a fist up at the zeppelin.
Amy and Samey were falling together, both growing more worried as they saw people get duds in their parachutes. "Okay... one, two, THREE!" Amy shouted as both her and Samey opened their parachutes.
Nothing came out of either, striking more fear in Samey and angering Amy. "UGH! This is the worst! My hair is going to be ruined because of Chris's stunt here!" Amy complained, looking at the water below.
Max laughed as he watched most of his competition fail to get a parachute, and when he pulled his cord and got an actual canopy, this only emboldened him. "Mwahaha! My dastardly mind knew exactly which one was correct!" Max boasted, when it was really just luck.
Joseph pulled his cord next, and it too had an actual parachute. "You know who else has a dastardly mind? JOE MAMA!" Joseph pointed out at Max, laughing louder than him somehow.
Leonard pulled the cord on his parachute, and when a bunch of tambourines flew out, he right away sat up and pulled out his spellbook. "Guess I'll have to use magic to aid myself here! Hmm... wings? Feather falling? It's our first day so this must be stylish!" Leonard began to flip to through his spells.
Xander pulled his cord next, and a bunch of Sam's confiscated Gameguys from a couple seasons back flew out. "Seriously? Might as well catch a selfie while I'm up here then!" Xander tried to make the most of this, whipping out his phone.
Harrison opened his parachute next, groaning when a ton of pills flew out. "For shame, guess I wasn't so lucky. It is what it is." Harrison said grimly, looking down with dread.
Ryan pulled his cord next, and he stopped hyperventilating when he saw an actual parachute come out. "Oh thank you thank you! I'll actually get to play the game!" Ryan exclaimed, clutching his parachute pack tightly.
Liana and Scarlett were falling together, and when Liana pulled her parachute and got nothing out of it, Scarlett sighed and pulled hers to see nothing come out of it as well. "As I expected, Chris grouped the parachutes together." Scarlett commented with a frown.
Liana didn't seem as upset though, smiling at Scarlett. "Hey, at least we're on the same team! We put our heads together and you've got a strategic powerhouse. You're already my number one in my eyes!" Liana looked at the bright side, making Scarlett raise an eyebrow.
Dino pulled his cord after them, but seemed unfazed when nothing came out of it. "Alright then! Guess I'll be putting my diving badge to good use today!" Dino declared, tossing his pack aside and now taking form.
Jasmine pulled her parachute pack open, and let out a sigh of relief when it opened. "Hot diggity, got the luck of 12 hares for that one!" Jasmine let out thankfully.
As soon as she began to float safely, she held out both arms, one of them catching Scarlett and the other catching Leonard. "Aha! My spell worked!" Leonard declared, unaware of how he was saved, making Scarlett facepalm.
Rodney opened his parachute up next, frowning when he saw a bunch of meat come out of his. "Oh no! Uhhh... this isn't good..." Rodney said to himself, his mind unable to come up with a plan to save himself on the fly.
Chef saw all the meat fly out of Rodney's back and grunted, then pulled his cord and groaned when even more came out of his. "So he's just wastin' my supplies too!? Chris man you're sick!" Chef complained as he continued to fall.
Sienna went next, and let out a sigh of relief as hers opened. "Phew, I guess it's not all bad today!" Sienna commented thankfully.
Laura opened her parachute pack next, getting more nervous when feathers flew out of it. "Eep! Maybe I should have left those in there..." Laura let out, fiddling with her pack now to try and save herself.
Whitney had taken some time to regain her composure after being pushed out, and when she pulled her cord and got an actual parachute, that composure fully returned. "P-Phew... I live to see another d-day!" exclaimed to herself, looking up at her canopy.
Ludwig pulled his cord after her, chuckling when his parachute worked as well. "Guess I'll chalk that one up to my luck and charm, heh." Ludwig told himself as he watched everyone else around him fall.
Beardo was the final person to pull his cord, having hesitated out of fear. But when he did, only a bunch of chickens flew out of his parachute pack. Seeing they were getting closer to the water, Beardo tucked his arms in and began to imitate the noise of a missile comically hurdling toward the ground.
Chris had a pair of binoculars now, watching the contestants as they either failed or succeeded at getting actual parachutes. "And here they come now!" he told the audience as they descended.
Starting with VT, everyone who didn't get an actual parachute had a few more scoring of yelling or screaming as they fell down before being cut off as they fell into the water. Jasmine fell a little heavier with Scarlett and Leonard at her side, so they hit the beach first. "My appreciation for your help." Scarlett thanked Jasmine, who gave her a thumbs up in return.
Ludwig landed on the beach next with Whitney due to their later deployments, with Ludwig smiling as Whitney celebrated their safety. "I s-still can't believe we're okay! That was l-like, only 32% odds we were gonna be- OW!" Whitney was cut off as Sugar landed on top of her.
Sugar stepped off Whitney, chuckling a little. "Sorry boo, but you were in my way!" Sugar laughed, with Ludwig doing the same.
Sienna and Kaito landed together, high-fiving over their safety, while Ryan hurried over to help Whitney up as soon as he landed. Max and Joseph landed together, with the former already beyond annoyed with the latter, who seemed to still be rattling off jokes to him.
Violet landed a-okay on the beach as well, having been carried by a massive bubble. Once she was on the ground, she popped it and pulled her gum back in, triumphantly smirking at the others who were just disgusted.
Dennis was the last person to land on the beach, walking up to Chris after tossing his parachute pack aside. "Heh, I assume you gave me one of the good parachutes knowing my status and influence?" Dennis asked Chris coyly.
Chris shook his head, smiling at Dennis. "Nope! It was just pure luck you got a good one, would've been funnier if you didn't! But it seems we aren't missing anyone, so the outcome would've been all the same!" Chris answered, bothering Dennis a bit.
Chef then marched up to Chris, soaking wet and scratched up from the fall. "You could have given ME one of the parachutes!" Chef yelled at Chris.
Chris turned to his co-host and just shrugged. "Yeah, that would have been a good idea!" Chris agreed with him, then didn't comment further.
Cutting ahead, everyone was out of the water and sorted into three groups, none particularly happy except for those that had actually gotten parachutes. "Welcome to Pahkitew Island everyone! Seeing as you're all here in one piece, let's dole out your teams! To my left, everyone who got fun 'surprises' in their parachutes!" Chris began the team introduction.
"Rodney, Lexus, Sky, Beardo, Xander, Laura, Harrison, Shelby, Ally, Leonard, and Mike! You eleven will be the Mani Oho tribe! Which means Fearless Hawks in Cree!" Chris introduced their team, with a purple flag of a hawk then appearing beside them.
Sky shook her head, raising a finger. "Wrong, that actually means the Fearful Owls." Sky corrected Chris.
Chris looked at the name he had written down, then at Chef for a moment. "Oh well, I guess you're the Fearful Owls then!" Chris right conceded, thinking it was funnier, followed by a yellow logo of a scared owl replacing the old one.
Chris looked at the group standing behind him now, flipping the page on his clipboard. "Those that didn't get anything in their parachutes! Dino, Violet, Amy, Samey, Repsac, Scarlett, Topher, Rookie, Surge, Liana, and Virani! You eleven are the Pimapotew Kinosewak, which means-"
"Floating Salmon." Harrison now jumped in, before Chris could even tell them their incorrect name.
Chris groaned, writing down the proper name on his clipboard, while a green logo with a floating salmon appeared beside the team. "Umm, it's Sammy by the way." Samey corrected Chris.
VT gave Chris an annoyed look as well. "Yeah, no one calls me Virani either, that sounds stupid. The name's VT." VT insisted.
Chris shook his head, showing her the clipboard. "Amy said everyone calls you Samey, since you're the lesser twin, so I've got you down as Samey! Not changing it. VT, I don't want to hear anything from you. But fine, only because I know you'll be annoying about it." Chris told them, although that didn't make VT any less annoyed with him while Amy smirked at getting her way, making Samey sigh in defeat.
Chris turned to the last group, who were still in better spirits. "Lastly, the group that actually had parachutes! Jasmine, Sugar, Kaito, Ludwig, Max, James, Sienna, Ryan, Dennis, and Joseph! You ten are the Waneyihtam Muskwak! Which means-"
"The Confused Bears." Sky and Harrison both said in unison this time, fist bumping afterward.
Chris smacked Chef upside the head after this, glaring at him. "This is what happens when you use a free online translator!" Chris demeaned him.
Whitney raised a hand right away, right away tense. "C-Chris? It's W-Whitney, I know you asked for l-legal names but p-please..." Whitney corrected him.
Chris rolled his eyes, scratching off another name and correcting it. "Whatever dude. Don't be such a spazz over it." Chris gave in, getting tired of all this correcting.
Ryan frowned at Chris's behavior, but did a quick headcount and noticed another problem. "Hey, we have one less member than the other tribes, what's up with that?" Ryan asked Chris.
Chris's expression remained sour, as he then pointed at VT and Mike. "We were supposed to have 30 players, 3 tribes of 10, but these two cheated their way onto the show, and Mike took advantage of a loophole to bring a parent with him too, so the teams without parachutes get extra members. Voting them off would make my day, but they already have contracts in their names so I can't just kick them off." Chris explained.
VT smirked, one hand in her hoodie pocket. "Just spamming applications is a valid way to get on, not my fault your selection team is stupid." VT argued, with Rookie and Liana giving her bothered looks.
"Not my fault you made your password super easy too! Hacking myself in was a piece of cake!" Mike also argued, getting sour eyes from Ally and Sky.
-Confessional: Kinosewak Tribe: Liana-
Liana put a fist on her hip, sitting proudly in the confessional. "I feel very good about the team selection! I study game theory and statistics, so I know when I'm given a good hand! As long as I make alliances with everyone to keep myself safe like Anne Maria in season 5, I've got a quick ticket to the end!"
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Whitney-
Whitney rubbed one arm, looking dismayed as she sat. "This is s-so unfair. I came to T-Total Drama for a f-fresh start. But Chris just had to d-do that. I w-won't let it impede my gameplay t-though, I'll still play my b-best!"
-Confessional: Mani Oho Tribe: Leonard-
Leonard tipped his wizard hat to the camera, then crossed his arms. "I've played in all kinds of campaigns that take far more strategy than this game! With the party that I have been placed into, I have no doubt I'll slip right to the merge, then wow the jury and win it all!"
-End Confessionals-
Now that the teams had been assembled, Chef walked off to get in place for the challenge, while Chris stayed to address everyone. "A few ground rules before we get into your first challenge! I'm sure you've all seen the format of this game evolve over time, and this season that remains the same! Like recent seasons, it's not just about blowing past everyone and booting them, it's about how you do it! The final three players will have to face a jury of their peers, who will ultimately decide who wins the game!" Chris began to explain the format.
Scarlett raised a hand right away, pleased that the jury format was back. "What about idols? Will they be in this season perchance?" Scarlett questioned him.
Chris nodded, pulling out a blue and white beaded necklace. "There will four immunity idols this season, one will be hidden by each of your camps, and the last one will be introduced at the merge! In order to be safe, you'll have to play said immunity idol before the votes are read!" Chris explained, satisfying Scarlett's question.
"If we get voted out, do we get to pass it on to a friend?" Lexus asked curiously.
Chris shook his head, stuffing the necklace into his pocket. "Nope! If you get voted off with an idol in your pocket, it will be rehidden and put back into circulation! No easy idol passes here!" Chris answered.
The more strategic players absorbed this knowledge, while some like Rodney and Dino weren't quite sure what to make of these idols in the game. "Anywho, seeing as you don't have your camps yet, your first challenge will be building your own shelters! Whichever teams make the most impressive shelters will be safe from tonight's vote, while the team with the least impressive shelter will have to vote someone off! Follow me so we can get started!" Chris directed everyone, walking away from the beach and inland with the three tribes following him.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Jasmine-
Jasmine pointed at herself, having a confident look on her face. "Building a shelter? My tribe may not look the best physically, but with proper direction we'll have the best shelter around here before sundown I can promise ya that!"
-Confessional: Kinosewak Tribe: Scarlett-
Scarlett adjusted her glasses, then put both hands on her lap. "We have Dino, a boy scout on our team. Victory in making a shelter is something we have assured. So I will be using this vital first day to build the foundation of my game instead. It will be tough finding players I can trust to tell my plans to, but I'll have to open up sooner or later."
-End Confessionals-
Cutting ahead a few minutes, Chris now stood on top of a junk pile while the three tribes stood at the bottom of it. "Each tribe may take supplies from this pile before you begin to build, however, these supplies are guarded by Chef, armed with a powerful tennis ball blaster!" Chris began to explain the challenge.
In the distance the players could see Chef with said blaster, with Caroline; the red hatted intern sitting beside him ready to load more tennis balls into the launcher when he burned through his supply. "A glancing blow will sting!" Chris stated, with Chef then firing a tennis ball at one of the contestants.
Xander got hit in the forehead, making him yelp a little. "Ow! That's gonna ruin my selfies if that bruises!" Xander complained.
"And a direct hit can take you right to the ground!" Chris added, with Chef firing another tennis ball aimed a bit lower.
Max was hit this time right in the crotch, making him wince and yell in pain as he fell over. Ryan helped him up, just thankful it wasn't him that got hit. "Where are we building are shelters? I'd rather know that than how much we're going to get hurt." Kaito asked Chris.
Chris gestured east, towards the beach. "Muskwak Tribe, you'll be building your shelter east by the beach! Kinosewak Tribe, you'll be building north, further inland. Mani Oho Tribe, you'll be building your shelter west by the lake! I'm going to head out of here, you can all begin!" Chris finished explaining the challenge, then pulled out his airhorn and blew it as he ran off.
Chef began firing tennis balls at the players gathered, so they all quickly took off. "Regroup behind the bush Muskwak!" Jasmine directed her team right away.
"Get behind the rocks Kinosewak, those are taller!" Dino directed his tribe, sprinting to said rocks.
"The trees! Hide Mani Oho!" Rodney directed, fleeing the tennis balls with his team.
Behind the bush, the 10 members of the Muskwak tribe were bunched up, safe from tennis ball fire for now. "Okay, what's the plan? Shelter building really isn't my forte." Kaito asked the others.
Dennis put his hands on his hips, looking at the people he already didn't like. "Those that were meant for labor, Jasmine, Sugar, and Ryan, they should get the supplies while the rest of us plan out the shelter." Dennis suggested.
"That doesn't seem very fair." Sienna pointed out right away.
"Do you wanna get out there? I'm cool letting those three be fodder." Ludwig commented casually.
Sugar and Jasmine were ticked off by the idea, while Ryan raised an eyebrow. "Just us? I appreciate the sorta compliment but wouldn't have all hands helping with this be better?" Ryan suggested.
"You know who else would help with this? JOE MAMA!" Joseph shouted right at Ryan, laughing afterward.
"Why don't we sabotage the other tribes and steal their supplies? That would be the perfect EVIL plan!" Max proposed, laughing evilly afterward.
Jasmine clenched both hands, then raised her voice at everyone. "ENOUGH! We're a tribe, we're not using anyone as fodder, we're not stealing on the first day, we're going to do this right! I'll lead the way and distract Chef while the rest of you gather whatever you can! We're going to build a treehouse, so focus on lumber and anything to hold the lumber together! Let's move!" Jasmine ordered everyone, then stood up from the bush and ran toward the junk pile.
"Dang, she's a good leader..." Kaito commented to Ludwig, then ran off after Jasmine.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Dennis-
Dennis let out a huff, crossing his arms. "How dare they!? Not only did this tribe not listen to a strong capable man, they took their advice from a blasphemous DEI woman! I see this tribe is already doomed to fail."
-End Confessional-
Behind the rocks, Dino let out a sigh of relief when he saw that everyone was okay. "Okay tribe, we're gonna need to cooperate the best we can if we're going to get the most out of this, so first we should-"
"No time wasted, it's go time!" Surge yelled, then ran out from cover immediately when she saw the Muskwak tribe start to run for supplies.
No one else from Kinosewak ran, so Dino just proceeded as normal. "Okay then... before I give my directions, does anyone have ideas they wanted to pitch?" Dino asked the team.
Rookie tipped his cap at Dino, smirking at him. "Well are you not already an expert on shelters? I imagine this challenge is right up your alley my friend! Just tell us what to grab and we've got this!" Rookie suggested.
"If we need a decoy, Samey is great at stealing the spotlight, so she's right there!" Amy added, with her sister not even bothering to fight back on that.
"Well are we just buildin' a buncha tents? We need something FLASHY! That's how you win a contest!" Violet advised, raising both arms.
Scarlett tapped her chin, then looked at Dino. "They have a point, you could easily build a shelter for us all. So tell us what you need for that. The rest of us should focus on decoration, something that caters to Chris specifically." Scarlett proposed.
"Chris loves Chris, that's a constant, why don't we just build a statue of him next to our shelter?" Topher suggested.
VT snickered, snapping her fingers at Topher. "Bingo! That narcissist is gonna love that! Okay Dino, lay it on us, what're we gonna need for all that?" VT asked Dino.
Dino went over a quick list of everything needed to build, although he whispered it to his teammates so the other tribes couldn't hear. "I'll focus on the canvas, you all get the other things I mentioned, let's move out Kinosewak!" Dino directed his team, then ran for the junk pile.
-Confessional: Kinosewak Tribe: Dino-
Dino saluted to the camera, having an eager smile. "Dino, boy scout troop leader at your service! I'm glad my tribe is recognizing my strengths right away! It must've been my badges that tipped them off. They mean everything to me, each one serves as a different accomplishment and skill I have! I trust those skills will take me to the end!"
-End Confessional-
Behind the largest tree around the junk pile, the Mani Oho tribe was looking to Rodney for guidance since he called them there. "What's the plan big guy?" Lexus asked, taking a knee.
"You better know what you're doing chubby, you better not just be all muscles!" Xander added, skeptically eying Rodney.
Rodney stammered a bit, seeing 10 people all looking right at him. "I mean I'm used to being in charge, just give me a second okay? I uhh... we just gotta build a shack for us to stay in right?" Rodney stammered, scratching the back of his head.
"Oh great, he's a doofus. A shack!? Seriously? We'll just insta-lose with that!" Mike shot the idea down immediately.
"Michael play nice! It's your first day with this tribe!" Ethel tried to calm Mike down.
Laura thought for a moment, then raised her hand excitedly. "Think we could put together a nice little greenhouse shelter? That way we could grow food while we're out here." Laura suggested.
Harrison shook his head, eyeballing the junk pile from a distance. "I doubt we'll find anything sufficient enough for a greenhouse, the glass over there looks pretty broken." Harrison countered.
"Why do we even need to build anything. If you think about it, nothing can protect us from the release of death." Shelby pointed out, getting weird looks from the others.
Sky saw the other two tribes already taking action though and grew worried, as there wasn't any clear direction among hers. "Okay everyone, I know you all have different ideas, but we won't be able to do any of them if the other tribes get all the good supplies. Let's grab now and we'll build later!" Sky urged her team, then got up and ran toward the junk pile.
Beardo got up and imitated a war horn as he ran, with the rest of the Mani Oho tribe all splitting up to grab their own things. "Game on!" Ally let out as she ran in.
-Confessional: Mani Oho Tribe: Rodney-
Rodney rubbed the back of his head a little sheepishly. "Back on the farm, it was just me, my dad, and my little brothers. But here? This is a pretty different group than what I'm used to. I hope I can understand them and they'll understand me soon enough..."
-End Confessional-
Now that all three tribes were rummaging through the junk pile, Chef was taking shots at all of them, cycling between groups just to make sure everyone was having as rough of a time as possible. Joseph tried to pull out a plank of wood, but ended up getting knocked down by a tennis ball before he could get it out all the way out. Sienna ran up and tried to pull the same plank out, but ended up taking hits as well. "Ow! Isn't this overkill for a piece of wood?" Sienna let out as she was hit.
Xander laughed as Sienna was knocked down, grabbing an old flag out of the pile. "Maybe, but it's funny!" Xander taunted her as he ran to safety to drop off his flag.
Sienna grumbled as Xander ran past her, letting out a sigh. Ryan ran by and was finally able to get the plank out, holding it to his left shield him from the tennis balls. "Hey, you good?" Ryan asked her.
Sienna got back up to her feet and nodded, rubbing one arm. "Well, yes, but it's not something I really want to get into. I just know Xander outside the game, and now that he's here it's just..." Sienna lamented.
The tennis balls were making hard to hold a conversation though, so Ryan just passed his plank to Sienna. "You don't have to dive into it if you don't want to, just protect yourself with this okay? It helps a little!" Ryan advised, then hurried off to get more wooden planks.
Jasmine was doing the same shield trick, using one plank as a shield while carrying several others. "Move yourself Joseph, every second is precious!" Jasmine urged Joseph, quickly helping him to his feet.
"You know who else is precious? JOE MAMA!" Joseph shouted at her as she ran to bring the planks back to their spot, only for him to get knocked down by another tennis ball.
Up on the rock perch Chef was shooting from, Chris watched as Caroline refilled his gun, only to have his attention taken away when Topher climbed onto the perch. "Uhh, what are you doing here?" Chris asked Topher.
Topher was giddy with excitement though, seeing the three of them. "Oh I just couldn't help myself! I just had to see you hosting a challenge, LIVE, in person! How could I miss that?" Topher praised Chris.
Chris smirked, running a hand through his hair. "Well you've got fine taste, I'll say that! How could I deny a fan the chance to watch?" Chris accepted the praise, then gestured towards Chef to let Topher watch him decimate the players at the junk pile.
Now cutting to Kinosewak, they weren't faring too much better, with basically everyone taking hits as they gathered their shelter and statue supplies. Scarlett had gotten her hands on a wheelbarrow, which she had loaded up with a bunch of old helicopter parts. "Nice thinking." Repsac complimented Scarlett as she wheeled past him.
Surge was busy trying to distract Chef, egging him on and attacking the tennis balls he shot at her. "Can't keep up with my speed y'hear!" Surge taunted him as she slapped a tennis ball out of the air.
VT watched Surge keep deflecting tennis balls, currently holding a torn sail. "Thank god she's on our team right?" VT asked Liana, who was gathering up buckets of paint.
Liana nodded in agreement, looking up at Surge. "Yes, definitely serves our games well. Speaking of games though, did you want to make an alliance?" Liana offered.
VT blinked, a little surprised by this. "Like right now? We barely know each other." VT pointed out dully.
Liana chuckled, shaking her head. "Chris already spelled out to us you're crafty. The others might not think much of it, but I already see someone who will be an asset to work with. I already see you as my number one." Liana explained, lowering her voice a little.
VT didn't give it much thought, just giving Liana a thumbs up and then starting to walk back to their spot behind the rocks with the sail. "Sure, whatever. As long as you're not writing my name down I'm not writing yours." VT agreed to the alliance, leaving Liana behind.
Amy was gathering up brushes and things to use as chisels while using Samey as a shield, letting her sister take the brunt of the tennis balls. "Have you grabbed enough yet? This really hurts!" Samey cried out.
"The more complain the more you distract me, zip it!" Amy scolded Samey, stopping what she was doing for a moment.
Over with the Mani Oho tribe, Rodney had gotten a wagon to load things up in, so he had filled it with as many rocks as he could. "Rocks? What are we going to do with rocks!?" Mike complained, carrying a bottle of glue when he saw what Rodney grabbed.
"Uhh, build the shelter? I couldn't find any wood, but rocks should be good too!" Rodney answered.
Mike threw the bottle of glue at him, angrily stomping off. "We're not cavemen! If you aren't going to take this challenge seriously then neither am I moron!" Mike insulted Rodney, while Ethel picked the bottle back up since it didn't go far and hurried after her son.
Shelby ended up getting hit as she was picking up some rope, although it didn't bother her at all. "Pain without death is pointless. I mean really, pain is only a sensation our bodies give us to let us know something is wrong. But I can see this is just a challenge. So what's the point Chef?" Shelby asked Chef, staring straight into his soul from afar.
Chef didn't target Shelby after that, instead aiming for Laura. "Woah! Easy!" Laura let out as she narrowly dodged Chef's shot, carrying a bag of cement mix. Another came for her, but Harrison knocked it out of the way with a tote lid he had picked up.
"These are relentless, how did they expect us to actually gather enough with enough time to make the shelter?" Harrison asked, glad that at least Laura wasn't hurt.
Chef wasn't done though, firing another barrage of tennis balls at the pair. Only this time Sky leapt in with a wooden pole and swung at a few of them, sending one hurtling right toward Chef. He didn't have time to react as the machine was hit and knocked into him, breaking it and injuring Chef in the process. "Should I get medical?" Caroline asked Chris.
"You're medical. Take care of this now." Chris ordered, prompting Caroline to run off to get medical supplies while Topher just chuckled. "Wow, great with fans, harsh with business. Can't praise your work life balance enough!" Topher further praised Chris.
Chris chuckled, looking at Topher now. "Yeah, that girl Sky has some serious skills though, which means the gathering phase is over, and your team needs you, so get out there before I make a scene out of it!" Chris warned Topher, prompting the boy to nod and hurry down.
Once Topher was at the junk pile, Chris blew his air horn, getting everyone's attention. "Alright tribes, your time to gather is over, it's time to get building! Take your things to your camps and I'll see you again in two hours!" Chris laid out their time limit.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Jasmine-
Jasmine had her arms crossed, with a stern expression on her face. "I had to take charge, or we wouldn't have had any kind of foundation to work with. Some people may find me intimidating, but sometimes you just have to be the one to reign everyone in. I feel good about today though, not sure how I'll be able to keep this lot in check in other challenges though..."
-Confessional: Kinosewak Tribe: VT-
VT had one hand in her hoodie pocket, the other on her lap. "I thought Chris revealing I spammed my way into the game was going to put a bigger target on me, but thankfully my tribe was actually reasonable and didn't take issue with that. Either that or they're already plotting to get me out first chance they get, still don't trust 'em yet. Regardless, I've got an ally in Liana, so that's one less person I have to worry about."
-End Confessionals-
Over by one of the caves on the eastern end of the island, Max was walking alone when he came across. "An evil genius needs an evil lair to do his bidding, and this cave shall be perfect!" Max declared as soon as he laid eyes on it.
Max let out an evil laugh afterward, but stopped himself after a moment. "Hmm, I need to work on that. If I'm going to steal the show, I'll have to perfect that laugh to strike fear in ALL!" Max declared, letting out another laugh.
This laugh wasn't up to snuff either, so he just gave up. "Not important right now, I must get acquainted with my lair!" Max shouted, then ran into the cave. It didn't take long for him to run out screaming though as bats swarmed him and chased him out of the cave.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Max-
Max hugged his knees for a moment, shuddering. "It was very dark in there, I just... I don't know if I can... bah! Nonsense, there is plenty of time to evil! Just not today!"
-End Confessional-
Over at the Muskwak camp, the 9 other members were hard at work putting together their treehouse, with Jasmine leading them as she was up in the tree working on the frame. "Kaito, Whitney, keep gluing those boards! Sugar, Ryan, help me with the support beams! Dennis, Ludwig, pick up the pace!" Jasmine ordered everyone, hammering in another nail.
"You got it Jasmine!" Kaito responded from below, setting down another board and gluing it to a plank with Whitney.
Dennis rolled his eyes, hammering nails into the ladder that would go up to their treehouse. "Ugh, why do I have to be doing hard labor on the first day? This is not what I signed up for. I should be calling the shots instead of working." Dennis complained.
"Jasmine is calling good shots and working. I really don't think you'd do both." Sienna defended Jasmine right away.
"Did I ask for you opinion? Concern yourself with your score on the BMI scale before you tell me what to think!" Dennis insulted Sienna.
Ludwig chuckled, now turning his head to watch their scuffle. "Huh? What the heck? I was just saying Jasmine is doing good, where did that come from?" Sienna asked, shocked by Dennis's comment.
"Oh you know, you woke youngins don't know what you're doing, no respect for your elders!" Dennis doubled down, pointing a finger at Sienna.
"You r-really shouldn't talk about p-people like that." Whitney told Dennis, defending Sienna.
Dennis now turned to Whitney, glaring down at her and scoffing. "And you? You'll never be a real woman, so don't think you can stand by a 'fellow girl' like this. Isn't that right, James." Dennis remarked, leaning in.
This shut Whitney up immediately, shocking everyone further. "You really are awful aren't you? I can't believe you'd say that!" Ryan called out Dennis, stopping handing support beams up as he heard things escalate.
"ENOUGH!" Jasmine had to yell as she jumped down from the treehouse, cutting off everyone. "If we're going to function as a team, we can't just be insulting and name-calling the first chance you get! Get back to work, all of you, or we're going to LOSE this challenge!" Jasmine demanded, then climbed back up the tree to work on their treehouse frame.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Dennis-
Dennis gave a wave of dismissal, looking more annoyed than anything. "Bah humbug! Do I care what these people think of me? Of course not! I was only stating facts, and facts don't care about your feelings! If they got offended, then it's their own fault!"
-End Confessional-
Over at the Mani Oho camp by the lake, everyone had laid out the supplies they had gathered, and what they had wasn't too great. "Rocks, glue, rope, a flag, cement mix, a tote lid, some wooden poles, uhhh, this isn't looking good chat." Ally commented.
"Yeahhhh, we should've planned this better." Lexus commented, holding tools to paint with but no paint.
"Well if it wasn't for this guy we would've had an actual plan like the other teams!" Mike further lambasted Rodney, who just hung his head in shame.
Sky shook her head, giving Mike an upset look. "Don't blame him, at least he brought all these rocks, we could do something with them right?" Sky tried to stay positive.
Leonard stood up from his seat, having an idea. "We could build a wizard's tower!" Leonard declared.
"Seriously?" Xander responded with doubt.
Leonard nodded, putting his hands on his hips. "Look at what we have! We have everything needed to make an awe inspiring tower! Those rocks fit it perfectly! It'll protect us from any evil-doers from outside as well!" Leonard explained his idea.
"I'm all for it! Sounds fun!" Lexus agreed right away excitedly.
"Who else wants the wizard tower? I'm fine with it if everyone else is, I wouldn't mind hanging out in a cool tower until merge." Ally asked the rest of the team.
Beardo imitated a carnival hammer game, raising his hand with a ding. Shelby raised her hand as well. "Life has no point, might as well pick the funny option." Shelby commented.
"Seems we have a majority already, wizard tower it is. It's either this or nothing." Harrison conceded, also going along with the plan.
"Ugh, fine. But don't look at me for the vote when it totally fails!" Mike gave in, crossing his arms.
-Confessional: Mani Oho Tribe: Harrison-
Harrison let out a sigh, resting his hands on his legs. "Truthfully, I don't want to build a wizard's tower either. It's foolish, impractical, just a bad idea all around. But I need to build relationships with these people starting out, and in order to do that, I have to avoid being the odd one out in arguments."
-End Confessional-
At the Kinosewak camp, things were coming along much smoother than the other teams. Dino and Surge were hard at work putting together the actual shelter, being one large tent with wooden supports, while the rest of the team was putting their final touches on their statue of Chris's head. "Chris is gonna be floored when he sees this! Won't know what hit him!" Violet exclaimed.
Scarlett nodded, looking to Topher. "Marvelous idea this was, I'm sure this'll be the start of a great tribe relationship with Chris as well." Scarlett complimented Topher, while Repsac was just sorta there overseeing the smaller details on Chris's face.
"Hey, just be thankful you've got the Chris fan on your tribe instead of the others!" Topher responded, accepting the compliment.
"Yeah, we sure are!" Samey agreed with him, smiling at Topher.
"Oh quit sucking up! He helped us out, you don't have to act like he's our savior!" Amy scolded Samey, painting Chris's hair at the moment.
Rookie raised an eyebrow at Amy's behavior, but didn't point it out. "Even if we don't win, I think our team is functioning pretty well so far! We have second place guaranteed at the very least." Rookie commented.
Seeing that everyone was wrapped up in praising Topher and their statue idea, Liana walked over to Violet and tapped her shoulder. "Hey, c'mere for a sec." Liana whispered to her.
Violet just kept chewing her gum when she was beckoned, but followed nonetheless. "What's up? Somethin' important?" Violet asked, talking while chewing.
Liana was a bit grossed out by this, but didn't let it get to her. "Well I'm seeing a lot of people praising Topher, and I can't help but feel he's gonna start making alliances soon. So I think you and I should make one to protect each other. With everyone flocking to him or Dino, I see you as my number one right now. Just keep my name out of people's voting ideas and I'll do the same for you." Liana offered.
"I'll agree to this, but don't think you can start ordering me how to vote. No one tells the queen of pop what to do! Is that all?" Violet agreed to the alliance, blowing a bubble while looking up at Liana.
"Yeah, that was it, just touching base." Liana told Violet, giving a thumbs up.
"Great, I'll get back to helping the tribe, you better work hard too unless you want eyes to naturally fall on ya. I'm not gonna stand up to a crowd for you if that happens." Violet replied, hurriedly walking back.
-Confessional: Kinosewak Tribe: Liana-
Liana chuckled, one hand on her hip. "Man, I'm good at this game! Three alliances made on day 1! If I keep going at this rate, I'll be able to pick whoever I want to go home at every ceremony! That's game theory for you, don't wait for a chance to come your way, make that chance for yourself!"
-End Confessional-
Back at the Muskwak camp, the whole tribe was up in the now finished treehouse, with Jasmine nailing the last piece of the roof in place. "That was a little rough, but we got through it alright at least!" Kaito commended his tribe.
"Right you are, this'll last us the whole season if needed!" Jasmine added, fist-bumping Kaito.
Chris then flew in with his jetpack, looking their treehouse. "This is nice. Functional too, and smart building it above ground level!" Chris commended the Muskwak tribe.
"Huh? Why is that?" Sienna asked, getting a little worried.
The ground then began to rumble, and the Muskwak tribe looked over their balcony to see a horde of moose running in below. "Here comes your answer!" Chris told them, with the ground and the treehouse by proxy shaking for a while as they ran through. Their ladder got knocked over, but the entire treehouse remained unharmed by the moose.
"This island is a little more wild than the last one as you can see! But I'll go catch us with those moose and see how the other teams fare!" Chris remarked, then flew off with his jetpack.
At the Mani Oho camp, Beardo began to imitate a horn that would be played for a king's entrance as Chris arrived, only earning an annoyed like from Mike while everyone else seemed indifferent. "Woah, this is a bit... medieval!" Chris commented as he flew in.
"It's a wizard's tower! Pretty cool huh?" Rodney explained to Chris, proud of their 30 foot tall stone tower held together tightly by rope.
"It shall protect us from all evil-doers while serving as a marvelous home base!" Leonard added proudly.
Chris chuckled, looking in the direction the moose were coming. "We'll see if it protects you from them then!" Chris commented, as the ground began to shake.
Harrison saw the moose horde first, then urgently pointed at the tower. "Everyone inside, now!" Harrison directed everyone, prompting everyone on the tribe to hurry into their tower.
Shortly after everyone got inside, the moose stampeded through, making the shaking test the tower more and more as they hurtled through without care. "Let's hope it stands..." Sky whispered, crossing her fingers.
The moose horde soon finished passing through, and by the time they finished, the shaking had completely stopped. "That crap actually worked?" Mike asked as he stepped out first.
"It would seem so, look Mikey, your team is smarter than you thought!" Ethel told Mike, trying to cheer him up.
Leonard chuckled, patting his tower while Beardo imitated the sound of party poppers. "Huzzah! Not even your wild ambush could take down my wizard tower!" Leonard taunted Chris, more emboldened about his creation now that it had been put to the test.
Even Chris was surprised by this, now holding back comments he had prepared to make. "Well then! I'll have to factor this feat into my score! I'll catch up with the moose to see if the other unlucky saps fare better!" Chris commended the tower, then flew off one more time.
At the Kinosewak camp, the tent had been finished, as well as the statue that stood before it. "Bravo team, we worked together and now it's time for it to pay off. Even if we don't win, I'm proud of you all!" Dino commended is tribe, smiling warmly at them all.
"No point in being proud if we lose." Surge threw in, crossing her arms.
"Man, I just bet you're fun back home." VT sarcastically commented, smirking at Surge.
Chris then flew in with his jetpack, gasping when he saw what Kinosewak had done. "This is... THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!" Chris let out as he landed just to walk up to the statue.
The statue was 5 feet tall and a pretty alright depiction of Chris's head. The face itself was made of wood while his hair was assembled with helicopter parts from the the junk pile to capture his slick black hair. "You guys knocked it out of the park, what prompted this?" Chris asked them.
Topher stepped forward, pointing at Chris. "You of course! How could we wake up without being reminded of your beauty? As soon as you gave us this challenge, we knew we had to make a tribute to the man who let us onto this show!" Topher praised Chris.
"What he said. You're totes amazing for that!" Amy praised Chris as well, getting a smirk from Topher.
Chris continued to fawn over the statue, before he then realized what was coming and reached into his pocket and pulled out a remote and pressed a button on it. The incoming moose horde avoided the Chris statue, instead going right past it entirely. "Whew, glad that it didn't come for us! That would've been bad!" Liana commented with relief.
Once they were out of the way, Chris looked over the statue once more. "Man this is just glorious! Meet back where the junk pile was, I've got results for all the tribes to deliver!" Chris told them, then flew off with his jetpack.
-Confessional: Kinosewak Tribe: Topher
Topher snapped his fingers, smirking at the camera. "And THAT'S how you make a first impression! Showbiz baby, I know everything about it, and these people don't know just how much I know about this game. Chris will want this to be his best season yet, and I'm prepared to make it just that!"
-End Confessional-
Back where the junk pile was, now sat three wooden log benches for the tribes to sit down on. Chris stood between all three of them with his hands behind his back, knowing they were eager to hear the result. "I'd like to say it was a hard decision, and it was! Sorta!" Chris began to go over the results, worrying some.
"Sorta? How so?" Sky asked with hope.
Chris faced the Kinosewak tribe first. "It was easy to give the win to the Pimapotew Kinosewak tribe, that one I knew before I even got here! And as winners, they get takeout from the Petting Zoo Barbecue! The Petting Zoo Barbecue, where someone else touched your dinner!" Chris announced the winner, prompting them to get up and cheer while he tossed the takeout bag to Repsac.
"First challenge first win! Way to go guys!" Dino celebrated, hugging Scarlett and Liana.
As they celebrated, Chris now turned to the other teams. "Waneyihtam Muskwak, you guys put together one of the more functional shelters, so props for that. But Mani Oho built a wizard tower, AND it survived the moose horde, so I'm gonna have to give second place to them!" Chris announced the runner up, prompting them to celebrate their safety.
"Not bad for our first showing, I thought that was gonna go a lot worse." Harrison commented, fist bumping Sky.
"Not that it matters. We'll all be eliminated one way or another." Shelby said, refusing to join her team in the celebration.
Laura grabbed Shelby's arm and pulled her up though, smiling at the philosopher. "C'mon! You don't have to be a stick in the mud, we're safe!" Laura cheered, trying to get Shelby into the mood, but to no avail.
Chris now focused on the losing tribe, whose bad vibes worsened with this news. "Muskwak, I've got nothing for you. You'll be seeing me tonight for tribal council, you have the afternoon to discuss who will be going home tonight. Head back to camp. The idols have already been hidden while you were here, so keep them in mind." Chris told the Muskwak tribe grimly, then walked away.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Joseph-
Joseph laughed about their loss, then tried to contain it as he had a joke in his mind. "You know who else has nothing for you? JOE MAMA!"
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Ryan-
Ryan tapped his arms nervously, unsure how the night would go. "This is bad. Thankfully the team has already divided itself, and all eyes will be off me tonight. I just need to make sure I'm on the right side of this vote, the last thing I want is to put myself in the minority."
-End Confessionals-
Back at the Muskwak camp, people right away split off to go talk about the vote, with Kaito avoiding the groups entirely for a bit just to see who was going where. "What's on yer mind purty boy?" Sugar asked Kaito, walking up to him.
Kaito looked at Sugar now, wondering if he could get her vote. "Hmm, I was just thinking about the vote. I mean, we all are. But it feels like the easy target is not only easy, but correct." Kaito replied.
Sugar nodded in agreement, looking over at Dennis trying to gather up some of the guys to talk to. "Yeah, ain't much thought needed to take him out. If ya feel like actually making a move though, lemme know, cuz I'm all ears for that! Just makin' sure it's not me though, so I'm talkin' to peeps just in case! Y'feel me?" Sugar told Kaito, smirking at him.
"Oh yeah, I get what you mean. Whenever there's an easy target, it means there's an easy move to be made as well. I'll do some asking around just in case." Kaito replied, then walked away from Sugar.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Sugar-
Sugar had one hand on her hip, smirking at the camera. "I'm here to win this 'ere pageant, and to do that I need everyone to think what I want 'em to think! That Kaito boy is bright, but he's a smarty pants who if pushed a little thinks he has to make a move! I just need these people double thinkin' themselves, so hope this works!"
-End Confessional-
Dennis had gathered up Max, Joseph, and Ludwig, pitching his ideas for the vote to them. "Gentlemen, we have to do something about the women on this tribe. I don't like any of them, so any would be good to go." Dennis suggested.
"Does that include Whitney?" Ludwig asked with a smirk.
"Especially him. Him or Sienna are my picks to leave tonight." Dennis responded quickly.
Max rubbed his hands together, pleased with Dennis's picks. "I see no issue with either! Both are useless and have no place on this tribe! Sending them home immediately will be oh so satisfying, mwahaha!" Max laughed evilly.
Kaito walked up to the group, curious to what they were talking about. "What's the plan for the vote guys?" Kaito asked them.
"Oh you. You're not one of those woke types who is siding against us are you?" Dennis asked skeptically.
Kaito held up both hands, shaking his head. "Of course not! I saw a potential guys' alliance forming, and I didn't want to miss out. If you're voting for one of the girls, I think Sugar can stay, she was useful this challenge." Kaito stated his intentions.
"She wasn't on our radar anyway. We were thinking Sienna or Whitney tonight. Can't stand either." Ludwig told Kaito.
Kaito rubbed his chin, thinking about it. "But do you have the numbers for that? If we all vote on one, then it'll only be 5-5. I think I've got a better idea for how to approach this." Kaito began to formulate a plan, although he hid his excitement about it.
Dennis raised an eyebrow, wondering what he was up to. "Well? Spit it out! I don't care what it is, just as long as it benefits the men on this tribe!" Dennis demanded to know what it was.
Over at the treehouse, Ryan was hanging out with Whitney on the balcony, consoling her. "I s-still can't believe he w-would just say that. It r-really hurt..." Whitney told Ryan, leaning against the wall.
"Well he made himself the first to go with that, it's bad enough Chris was doing that, we don't need that kind of behavior back at camp too. We're voting for him tonight right?" Ryan asked Whitney.
Whitney nodded, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "Y-Yeah. Thanks. I'll do s-some talking to the others t-too." Whitney replied, then made her way down the ladder.
"I'll do the same, won't do us any good to just sit and wait." Ryan agreed, following her down the ladder.
Whitney saw Jasmine and Sienna talking to each other when she stepped off the ladder, so she hurried over to them once she was on the ground. "H-Hey! Who are y-you guys voting for t-tonight?" Whitney asked them urgently.
"Who do you think? Dennis. He's been a pain since we got here." Jasmine replied curtly.
Sienna nodded in agreement, still hurt by his words. "After what he said during construction, I can't have such an awful man like that around. That was just wrong on so many levels." Sienna added, rubbing one arm.
"G-Great! I'll talk to some of the g-guys and see if I can get t-them on our side!" Whitney told them, then sprinted off.
Jasmine chuckled as she watched Whitney leave, crossing her arms. "Glad she ain't moping. That would've really hurt our case if she took that too poorly. We should do some talkin' so we aren't just sittin' ducks in a pond full of alligators! I'll talk to Kaito and Joseph, they seem swayable, you talk to Sugar." Jasmine advised, then hurried off as well.
Sienna nodded, then began to walk away from camp, since Sugar seemed to looking for something near their campsite. "Hey Sugar! Can we talk about the vote?" Sienna asked her.
Sugar spun around when she heard Sienna, snorting when she saw her. "You wanna tell me how to vote huh? Why should I vote with ya?" Sugar asked her.
"Well, no. I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page? I wasn't going to tell you what to do." Sienna played nice, not wanting to offend Sugar.
Sugar frowned at this, then just pushed past her. "A shame, you ain't got guts girl! Yer just gonna get used by these people unless you stick up for yourself! Ya can vote with me tonight if you wanna do that, but I ain't letting a spineless fool tell me how to vote!" Sugar insulted Sienna, then just kept walking.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Sienna-
Sienna clenched both hands worriedly, feeling more hurt than before. "That didn't go too well..."
-End Confessional-
Jasmine walked up to Kaito and Joseph as they had left from the guys' meeting, catching them before they could go back up the ladder. "Oy! Can I talk to you lads for a moment? We got some important things before tribal council tonight." Jasmine asked them.
Kaito nodded, while Joseph just seemed confused. "You know what else is important? JOE MAMA!" Joseph blurted out, then hurried up the ladder.
Kaito watched Joseph head up, then sighed. "Sorry about that, you know how he is. But I'm guessing it's about the vote. No one wants to be first boot after all." Kaito guessed.
Jasmine nodded, gesturing towards Dennis who was heading to go talk with Sugar. "Yeah, and if anyone here deserves that label, it's Dennis. He didn't help in the challenge and is making everyone miserable. We're gonna be right back here if we don't send him packing." Jasmine pitched Dennis for the vote.
Kaito nodded in agreement, narrowing his eyes at Dennis. "Yeah, I was talking about to him about the vote and I really didn't like his attitude. He started ordering me to gather votes for him, feels like he's hardly even trying to stay in the game. Not sure why he came out here. He confronted me on the zeppelin and now he's courteous when it benefits him." Kaito complained about Dennis.
"Tell me about it. Glad we're on the same page then." Jasmine told Kaito, then walked past him, the two exchanging thumbs ups as they parted ways.
Ryan walked up to Kaito as well, having just talked to Max. "I don't get it, Dennis has a hold on Max and Ludwig. I don't know how he pulled that off so fast." Ryan complained to Kaito.
Kaito faced the climber now, chuckling at his words. "Yeah, some people around here are really proactive about their game it seems. I didn't think everyone would be playing hard for the first vote, but it is what it is." Kaito replied.
Ryan rubbed the back of his head, chuckling with him. "I didn't expect that either. But thankfully everyone besides that trio seems to be voting Dennis tonight based on what they're saying. So this'll be an easy vote, just praying we do better tomorrow!" Ryan told Kaito with relief, then began to climb up the ladder.
-Confessional: Muskwak Tribe: Ryan-
Ryan wiped imaginary sweat from his forehead, having a smile on his face. "I'm glad I'm on a tribe where people are able to have a heart. After seeing how Dennis treated Sienna and Whitney, I didn't think anyone was going to bat for him, but even with a couple people doing that, we're a big tribe. Most importantly, no one threw my name out today, so I won't have to be first boot! Crossing that line is already huge!"
-End Confessional-
Later that night, the 10 members of the Waneyihtam Muskwak walked up to the elimination area, with a mix of emotions as they did so. Some were uncertain about the vote still, some were confident their target would go, while others just knew they were safe tonight. Chris was waiting for them as they sat down on the tree stumps, standing on the other side of a fire with a smirk on his face. "Welcome to tribal council! We're taking things a bit more rugged this season, so get used to this feeling!" Chris greeted the tribe.
In the front row of stumps sat Dennis, Ludwig, Joseph, Sugar, and Whitney, while in the back row sat Ryan, Jasmine, Kaito, Max, and Sienna. "Your narrow loss brought you here for our first tribal council of the season, and I'm sure you've all seen the show. You'll cast your vote for who you want to see leave, and you'll place it in the voting urn by the confessional after folding it once you finish writing your vote." Chris explained how this would go, gesturing to the path to the confessional.
Chris then sat down on the tree stump behind him, looking at their faces. "So, let's talk about first impressions. Kaito, what were your first thoughts when you saw who was on your tribe?" Chris asked him.
Kaito wasn't expecting a proper discussion like this, but nonetheless came up with an answer. "Well Chris, I saw our tribe wasn't as physically dominated as the others, but in my mind that just meant we were going to be the wittier tribe of the bunch. I spoke to Ryan and Dennis on the zeppelin, and while they've got pretty different opinions, I see both as pretty smart people." Kaito answered the question.
Chris nodded, then looked to Dennis. "Interesting Kaito brings up smarts, is that something you agree with Dennis? I know you had some strong thoughts on your competition." Chris asked him.
Dennis shook his head, glaring at some of his tribemates. "I'm afraid I can't Chris. Some of these people just don't have the mental fortitude for this game. My viewers back home have far more tact than most of these people. But Kaito was right about me being of the smarter players at the very least." Dennis answered confidently.
Chris chuckled at his answer, then looked to Jasmine, since she and Sienna seemed most bothered by his response. "Man, hearing that much confidence about intelligence is something isn't it? What does hearing someone say that make you think?" Chris asked her.
"It makes me think they're full of themselves. Being able to be humble is a lesson that a lot of people would do good to learn." Jasmine stated, with Sienna nodded in agreement.
Chris saw Sienna nodding and jumped on that. "Sienna you're nodding, you feel the same way about Dennis? Or do you feel that way in a broader sense." Chris questioned her.
"Oh it's about Dennis. Kaito is smart but he's nice. I really wish I could say the same about Dennis since I'm sure he has some wisdom at his age, but he just didn't show that today, only ignorance." Sienna stated, avoiding eye contact with Dennis, who glanced back at her for a moment.
Chris chuckled at the slights, glad this would be a fiery vote. "Well clearly there's tensions flaring with this group. With that, it is time to vote. Ludwig, you're up first." Chris stated, pointing at Ludwig.
Dramatic music began to play now as Ludwig got up from his seat and went down the path to the confessional to go vote, with everyone watching him as he did so. Ludwig didn't put a ton of thought into his vote, just writing it and placing it in the urn.
The fire flared up a little bit, being the only sound as everyone else sat silently waiting for their turn to vote. Ryan went up to vote next, quickly casting his vote with a relieved smile. "Just glad we had an easy majority tonight." he said to the camera before placing his vote in the urn.
Dennis went after Ryan, and he wrote his vote with plenty of vigor. "Good riddance." was all he said as he left the confessional and placed his vote into the urn.
One by one everyone voted, with Whitney being the last person to cast her vote. "There was no benefit to w-what you said..." Whitney told the camera as she showed her vote, then folded it and placed it in the urn before returning to her seat.
Once Whitney returned to her seat, Chris got up from his. "I'll go tally the votes." Chris told them as he now walked down the path to go get the urn.
Everyone waited as Chris did so, and once Chris got back to the pit, he set the urn down on the oil barrel next to his seat. "If anyone has an advantage or an idol and you'd like to play it, now would be the time to do so." Chris told the tribe.
The silence remained, with some eyes looking around to see if someone had already found the idol, but no one spoke up. Nothing was played. "Alright, I'll read the votes." Chris stated, seeing as there was nothing played.
All eyes were on the urn now as Chris pulled out the first parchment and unfolded it. "First vote...
...
...
...
...
...
"Dennis."
Dennis rolled his eyes seeing his name, but he expected it.
Chris unfolded the next parchment, turning it around. "Second vote..."
...
...
...
...
...
"Dennis. That's two votes Dennis."
Sienna looked Dennis's way, ready to see even more Dennis votes.
"Third vote..."
...
...
...
...
...
"Dennis."
Kaito looked at Dennis now, who seemed bothered but still didn't have any fear.
"Fourth vote..."
...
...
...
...
...
"Joe mama."
All eyes turned to Joseph, who was now laughing his butt off about the vote. "Going forward you'll have to vote for another player, or else it'll count against yourself. That's three votes Dennis, one vote Joseph." Chris stated, dampening his joke a little.
Chris then turned the fifth parchment, with people more tense now that the joke vote was out of the way. "Fifth vote..."
...
...
...
...
...
"Jasmine."
Jasmine raised an eyebrow, wondering what her name was doing up there.
"Sixth vote..."
...
...
...
...
...
"Jasmine."
Dennis and Ludwig smirked together at this, while Jasmine just groaned seeing that she was their target.
"Seventh vote..."
...
...
...
...
...
"Jasmine. That's three votes Dennis, three votes Jasmine, one vote Joseph."
Ryan wasn't too surprised to see three against Jasmine, although others had expected this to be a full sweep.
"Eighth vote..."
...
...
...
...
...
"Dennis."
Dennis scoffed, still not at all worried for his safety.
"Ninth vote..."
...
...
...
...
"Jasmine. That's four votes Dennis, four votes Jasmine, one vote Joseph, one vote left."
Jasmine crossed her arms as she waited to see what the last vote read, while Dennis was ever confident that he was going to be safe. Whitney began to feel a sinking feeling, while Kaito was doing math in his head now over this vote.
Chris held the last parchment now, eyeing the tense players. He then opened it and prepared to turn it around. "First person voted out of Total Drama Pahkitew Island..."
...

"Jasmine. That's 5 votes, that's enough. Time for you to go." Chris read off the last parchment after turning it around.
Jasmine, Sienna, and Whitney were all stunned by this result, while Sugar now had a wicked grin on her face at this result. "H-Huh? H-How did that happen?" Whitney let out, covering her mouth in shock.
"Jasmine I..." Sienna began, floored that Jasmine was already leaving.
Jasmine just stood up though, tipping her hat to Sienna. "Don't beat yourself up over this. The fools that voted for me dug their own grave. I'm sure I'll be seein' more of ya at the loser's resort faster than a rattlesnake in a rat cage." Jasmine told her, walking past everyone in their seats.
Dennis looked plenty happy with this result, as did Ludwig, not even bothering to hide their glee. "Take care Jasmine." Kaito told Jasmine as she passed by him, waving softly.
Jasmine walked up to Chris, who now beckoned for her to follow. "Jasmine, the tribe has spoken, and now it's time to show off our new elimination method for the season! Come on everyone!" Chris stated, urging the rest of the tribe to follow him.
Cutting ahead, Chris had led everyone to a tarp on the edge of the cliff the elimination area was on, with Chef ready to pull it down. "Since Pahkitew is the Cree word for exploding, we thought it fitting to tie it into this season's transportation home! Without further ado, I give you the boom of abashment, kablam of chagrin, this season's humiliating way home, the Cannon of Shame!" Chris introduced the device, with Chef pulling down the tarp to reveal a massive white and red striped cannon.
Jasmine then popped out of the top, having had trouble fitting into it in the first place. "Any last words Jasmine?" Chris asked her smugly, now holding a red button.
"You all made your choice, now own iiiIIIIIIIIIIIIT!" Jasmine screamed as Chris cut her off right away and pressed the button, sending her flying off into the distance.
Once Jasmine was gone, Chris turned to the remaining 9 tribe members, grinning at them. "The rest of you, head back to camp, good night!" Chris directed them all, prompting them to leave the elimination area just a bit more miserable than when they entered.
After they all left, Chris then turned to face the camera. "That's one weirdo down with a whole lot more to go! Will the first tribal councils of the other tribes be just as spicy as this one? Only one way to find out, stay tuned next time for Total, Drama, Paaaaaaaahkitew Island!" Chris concluded the episode, raising his arms with each of the last words as the camera zoomed out to show the island at night.

Author's Note:
Hello everyone! Been a long time since I've uploaded for this universe on FFN! With a comic starting up, getting copyright struck, and losing so much hard work, where does that bring me? Right back here! I still want to tell this story regardless of what happened to the comic, so thank you to all who stuck around throughout it! As for this season and boot? Yeah, things are gonna be a lot more strategical this season, with every vote mattering that much more. The Reboot really highlighted strategy, and I just love that aspect of the show even more! Sorry to Jasmine, but it's just such a showcase of a move to take her out, so it had to be her. I love her character, but there are other aspects of Pahkitew I wanted to touch on, and Jasmine has had her flowers so many times already. Thank you all for your patience, and I hope to see you in the future! Be sure to join our Discord for discussion, and I hope you all have a great day!
