Without a doubt, this is the most frustrating chapter I have written so far. What a way to start the New Year.

In an undisclosed location, Mr. X and Jenny were having a meeting with the Director of the FBI. "OK, this is getting hard to ignore, X. The Stand users were already a problem, now we've got 'frog aliens'. What do you know about these amphibious extraterrestrials?"

Mr. X inspected his fingernails and said, "Who can say? Maybe a lot? Maybe nothing?" Jenny, who was standing by his side, smirked.

The Director snapped at him, "Don't be coy, X."

"Sorry. Coy is my default setting."

"I want these three taken into custody today. What do you need to get the job done?"

Mr. X set a bunch of plans onto the desk. "Nothing much. Tricked-out vans, thermal tracking equipment, a mobile HQ with cutting-edge power systems, kombucha on tap."

"Kombucha on tap?" exclaimed the Director angrily. "Don't push it, X. Just neutralize the threat. And do it quietly so that those chumps at the Speedwagon Foundation don't find out! They're already breathing down my neck for that robot Santa incident AND for you nearly causing a diplomatic incident after you attacked the boss of Passione and his son!"

"I know. That flamboyant agent in the pink suit they sent to California made it clear not to go anywhere near those frogs and the Giovannas. Even if DIO Junior Junior may pose a threat with him being a vampire."

The Director gave him a confused look. "What agent in a pink suit?"

"The one with blonde hair, works in New York, has a lovely wife. He's stationed in California."

The Director's confusion grew. "X, I'm in contact with the Speedwagon Foundation's Director. There's no one stationed in California."

Mr. X's eyes widened.

The next day, Giorgio was sleeping soundly in his bed. After Christmas, his mother sadly had to return to Italia to help Mista run things in Passione, but she wished him and Giorno good luck in getting the Plantars home. He was just having a lovely dream of riding his new Alfa Romeo when his phone rang, waking him up. "Ugh," he groaned. "Why now?" He answered the phone and muttered, "Anne, stop calling me in the daylight." What he heard next made him shoot out of bed. "WHAT?! It's almost finished?! Hold on, I'll get changed and get my dad!"

In a distant garage, the Boonchuys, the Giovannas, the Plantars, Dr. Jan, and Terri worked on a prototype portal. It looked just like Dr. Frakes' portal, only smaller. "I can't believe it," said Giorgio, open umbrella in hand. "How did you guys manage to do this in a matter of months?"

"Remember that friend from the Speedwagon Foundation you talked about," asked Dr. Jan. "The one they couldn't get in contact with?"

"Well, they did," said Terri excitedly. "And he's been helping us! He's such an expert on inter-dimensional portals, alternate realities, and split timelines."

"Really," asked Giorgio. "Where is he now?"

"He couldn't make it," said Dr. Jan. "But he sends his regards."

Giorno made a look of suspicion, but said nothing.

Meanwhile, Hop Pop was eating an avocado sandwich. "Got to love this avocado roast."

"It's avocado toast, dude," said Anne.

"In Amphibia, the avocados are covered with poisoned barbs that cause blindness. But here they're just creamy and delicious."

Sprig called out, "How's the portal going, Terri?"

"Pretty good. Come over here." Everyone gathered to her station. "I told the agent from the Speedwagon Foundation about the Calamity Box and he explained why it functioned as a music box. Vibrations. By using vibrations created from songs, it can pinpoint the coordinates of any realm in the entire multiverse."

"That's kinda what Funny Valentine said," said Anne. "When Sasha, Marcy, and I used our powers to it's fullest and hummed a song, we were able to open portals on our own without the box."

"Really," said Terri. "Do you remember the song used to open a portal between here and Amphibia?"

Giorgio said, "I think it was..." He hummed the three notes and Terri played them on a piano connected to her computer. Then she pressed a few buttons and pulled a lever. "Finger crossed, everyone."

The portal turned on, with about 3 energy sources and the engine of Dr. Jan's car, the power was increased. The portal opened in the machine.

"Whoa," said everyone.

"It's working," exclaimed Hop Pop.

"Uh, it's kinda small," pointed out Giorgio. "No bigger than a quarter!"

"I'm sorry," said Terri. "This is as big as I can make it! Do you see anything?"

Anne, the Plantars, and Giorgio looked in it and saw a swampy landscape with giant dragonflies and a giant red mantis eating a rat.

"Oh, gross," said Anne.

"Yep, that's Amphibia," said Giorgio. "Nightmare fuel incarnate."

"Yay!" cheered Sprig and Polly.

"That's home, alright," said Hop Pop.

Sprig approached the portal and said, "I wonder if the mantis can smell us?" As if responding to his question, the mantis turned its head toward Sprig and reached its claw through the portal. Giorgio quickly reacted and sliced the claw off, making the mantis shriek in pain and retreat. "CLOSE IT!"

Terri unplugged the machine, making the portal disappear.

"That's your world?" asked Mr. Boonchuy as he hid behind a crate along with his wife.

"Home sweet home," said Hop Pop.

"Nice job, Terri," said Anne.

"Thanks. I need way more power to make the portal bigger, but we're on the right track."

"I don't believe it," said Anne with excitement. "We're so close to getting back to Amphibia. Next stop, defeat Andrias and save my friends."

"Wow, Anne," said Dr. Jan, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You are one impressive kid. You know that?"

"Traveling to another world, leaving your parents behind again, not knowing when you'll see them next. That's brave."

Anne's eyes widened a little and Giorgio said to Dr. Jan, "Wow, you really know how to kill the mood, don't you? Still..." He glanced at Giorno. "...I didn't think about that. Seems to be quite the habit of mine."

"Yeah..." said Anne as she glanced at her parents, who were talking to the Plantars. "I didn't either."

Mr. Boonchuy said, "I would not believe it if I hadn't just seen it."

"That was incredible," said Mrs. Boonchuy.

Terri said, "All right, everyone, listen up. Dr. Jan and I think we can get the portal bigger but here's a list of supplies I think we're gonna need." She text messaged the list to the Boonchuys and Giorno.

"50,000 kilowatts of power generators," read Mr. Boonchuy. "400 cubic meters of ice..."

"Eight gallons of yogurt-covered pretzels," read Giorno. He looked up and asked, "Terri, did you not eat at all while making this machine?"

"Hey! I did eat small snacks between intervals," said Terri, but her stomach made a protesting sound. "But yeah, I could use some food at this point."

"Terri, regarding the other supplies," said Giorgio. "Couldn't the Speedwagon Foundation agent you're working with give them to you?"

"Well, this kind of technology is relatively unheard of, so...no."

"Looks like the only place we'll find all this is..." Mr. Boonchuy made a pose. "COSTCO!"

"Cost... what?" asked Hop Pop, who was just as confused as his grandkids.

"CostCo," asked Giorgio. "You mean that supermarket that guarantees affordable prices? They only sell food there."

"Not true," said Anne. "They got everything! You coming?"

"No," said Giorgio. "I've got to prepare on our own. Besides, it's still daylight."

After the Plantars and Giovannas left, Terri were alone with the machine. Well, not really. "I know you said you're shy," she said to a wooden crate. "But I really wanted to introduce you. I couldn't have done this without you, Agent FV."

Funny Valentine stepped out from behind the crate and said, "I'm not much of a people person."

"So, do you think we can get this thing running?"

Valentine shook his head, "I'm sorry to tell you this, but with only Anne's power, it will be a one way trip." Terri gave him a confused look. "This primitive machinery was not meant to handle such power. It could end up destroying it."

Terri was shocked. "WHAT?! Why didn't you tell me that?"

"Because I didn't want you to lose focus, and because I didn't want you to be upset."

"It's a bit too late for that! All that work, all that effort, only for it to power it to work once?! How are we supposed to get Anne back?!"

Valentine lit a cigarette and smoked it before saying, "The only chance she has is if she reunites with Sasha and Marcy. They, like Anne, still have the power. Only when all three are united can they come back home."

Terri made an exhausted sigh and put her hands on the keyboard. "How am I going to to explain this to Anne?"

"Tell her the truth. Tear off the bandage."

Terri nodded her head. "Yeah. I'll tell her when she gets back."

Meanwhile, Giorgio was sitting in the dark hotel room, thinking long and hard. Giorno came in and said, "Are you okay? You didn't say a word on the way here. And you didn't touch your food."

Giorgio glanced at the bloody meat sitting on the table and said, "Dad. I didn't want to say this in front of everyone, but...I don't want to go back to Amphibia."

"What? Why?"

"Because, hanging out with you, made me realize how much I might miss you. What if something happens and we can't go back to Earth? I might never see you, or Mom again. I'll never see Zio Mista, Zio Fugo, and Senior Polnareff again." His hands trembled as tears started to form. "I'll never see my sister, and she'll never get to know me."

Giorno put a hand on his shoulder and said, "That's exactly how I feel. I don't want you to go either."

"Really?"

"BUT!"

"There's always a but."

"As the leader of the gang of Amphibia's Passione, it's your responsibility to ensure your familia gets back home safely."

Giorgio scoffed. "Me? Leader? Not even Zio Bucciarati would make the same mistakes I made..."

"What, you think Bruno Bucciarati was perfect? He's made mistakes, too. And three of those mistakes cost him his, and Narancia and Abbacchio's lives. But you know what? He LEARNED from them. That's the best thing about mistakes. So, what will you learn from yours, Giorgio?" Giorgio didn't respond. "And think about all the things that are positive. You helped save Wartwood and Newtopia from gangsters, you helped three girls reunite after they go separated in an alien world, and you managed to help a family of frog aliens survive Earth. So, as much as I don't to, I think you're ready to go back."

Giorgio was about to respond when his phone rang. "Ugh. Again?" He answered it. "Anne, what do you want now? ... WHAT?!"

"What's wrong," asked Giorno.

"It's the Plantars! That crazy FBI agent kidnapped them at the CostCo! Anne's calling us and a few more people to break into their compound."

Giorno exhaled. "This is going to get all of Passione in hot water for sure." He smirked. "I'm in."

In the interrogation room of the FBI building in California, the Plantars were stripped of their clothes and strapped to metal tables. "Geez. We thespians love the spotlight, but can you turn this thing down?"

Mr. X grinned at them, then turned to his left. "Oh, Latin Simone," he sang.

The woman in the silver dress stepped out of the shadows, grumbling at him, "I swear to God, if this is another waste of my time, I am gonna..." Her voice trailed off when she saw the Plantars. "Holy..." She couldn't find the right words, she was that surprised.

"You were saying," Mr. X said smugly. "Now, get to work on the interrogation, dearie."

"R-Right. Victoria's Secret." Her Stand appeared and began to wrap itself around all three Plantars.

"Get your stinking Stand off me, you damm dirty human," snapped Polly.

"Polly, language," scolded Hop Pop.

"What can we do," said Sprig. "We can't see or fight it! We're not Stand users! But that doesn't mean we can't beat the user! Ripple-" Before he could use his tongue strike, the Stand took effect and his and Polly and Hop Pop's eyes dilated.

"Alright, they're under Victoria's Secret's spell," said Latin Simone. "Ask away your questions, X."

"Gladly." He approached the Plantars and asked, "Who do you work for?"

"No one," said Hop Pop. "I been working for myself since I took over the farm."

"The farm... Is that you call your nefarious alien headquarters?"

"No. It is a farm that has been in my family for generations after generations after generations after generations after-"

"Okay, that's enough" Mr. X interrupted him. "All right, pinkie, I wanna know everything," he said to Sprig. "Start from the beginning."

"You heard baldy," said Latin Simone.

"Hey! I'm not bald! I have a shaved head!"

Sprig said, "I was born on a humid swampy evening. Just a tiny, cute tadpole with big dreams."

"Uugh," groaned Mr. X. "Latin Simone, your Stand is broken."

"It's not broken, you dope," said the woman in the silver dress. "You're just asking the wrong questions." She then asked Polly, "What's your master plan?"

"To create an army of robots to help everyone back in Amphibia."

"Robots? Is that what this is?" asked Mr. X as he held up Frobo's head. "I thought it was a toy."

"Nope. Frobo came from a factory that created thousands of robots for an invasion. But Frobo is good unlike his brothers and sisters."

Well, THAT got Mr. X's attention. Then he smiled and said, "I think I know the right question now. Tell me everything about this invasion." He held up a tape recorder.

Anne and her family gathered their friends to Terri's garage to explain everything. "And now the Plantars are being held by the FBI in a secret government compound," Anne finished her story.

"Wa-wa-wait... Back up," said Ally. "The Plantars are alien creatures from another world?"

"You knew Polly had a tail," said Giorgio. "And you never questioned that?"

"We thought it was a deformity," said Ally.

"Frog-Man was a frog," asked Mary Jo. "Actually, that checks out."

A friend from the Thai community whispered to Papu in Thai, "C̄hạn chxb kb...Doy c̄hephāa kạb kratheīym." They both giggled.

"Yes. And we need your help to save them," said Anne. "But this is serious business. If we get caught, we'll be in huge trouble with the feds. So if anyone wants out, no hard feelings."

"You will need help from someone on the inside," said an unfamiliar voice. Agent FV stepped out from behind a crate. "Someone who knows Mr. X personally."

Terri was surprised. "Agent FV? You're gonna help us out? And you know this X guy?"

"Yes to both. The Speedwagon Foundation does have ties to the FBI, though this latest escapade seems to indicate they've been plotting behind the Speedwagon Foundation's back for some time now."

"Wait, THIS is the guy who's been helping you, Terri," asked Anne.

"Yeah," she replied. "I thought you knew, since the Speedwagon Foundation hired this guy. He's really helped me out on the portal."

Giorgio eyed the man suspiciously. Giorno took immediate notice. "You don't trust him either," he whispered.

Giorgio whispered back, "He seems familiar too."

Anne seemed to agree with him, though she didn't say it. Out loud, anyway. "So, what IS the plan?"

"I will go in alone and rescue the Plantars," said Agent FV. "While the rest of you stay here and guard the portal."

"WHAT?! What kind of shitty plan is that," said Giorgio, outraged. "We can take on a bunch of FBI agents!"

"Did you forget that you and your father are Mafiosi? If you break into that compound, it will give them all the incentive they need to arrest the both of you."

Before anyone could retort, gas canisters crashed through the windows, causing everyone to jump. They began coughing as the gas started to take effect. Then, men in gas masks burst through the door and before Anne could get another word, the butt of a rifle knocked her out.

When she came to, she found herself in a cell with a large bump on her head. "Wh-Where am I?"

"Anne? Honey," said Mrs. Boonchuy's voice.

Anne immediately snapped out of her dizzy spell and looked around. Her parents were in the same cell with her while Dr. Jan, Terri, Molly Jo, Humphrey, the two Thai ladies, and Agent FV were in separate cells.

"Where are we," Anne asked frantically.

"We're right where you wanted," said Agent FV. "The FBI compound."

"What? How did they know where we were," asked Dr. Jan.

"That...I don't know," Agent FV admitted.

"Payback's a bitch, isn't it, Anne," said Mr. X as he entered the cell block. "I gotta admit, even I didn't expect all this. Robots, an invading fleet, and an inter-dimensional machine? Ho, ho, those punks in the Speedwagon Foundation are not going to believe this!"

Terri's eyes widened. "H-How do you know about the portal," she asked.

"Let's just say a little froggy told us," he responded. "Three little froggies. Thanks to Latin Simone's Stand, Victoria's Secret, we now have all the evidence we need to prove of an oncoming adventure."

"The Plantars," Anne asked immediately. She got up and grabbed the bars to her cell and demanded, "WHERE ARE THEY?! GIVE THEM BACK!"

"Hehe... The Plantars, eh? Sorry, honey, but they're government property now." Mr. X fist bumped one of the guards.

"You can't do this. We have rights."

"I can do whatever I want." Mr. X said as he pointed to himself. "I'm a highly specialized top federal agent. And you? Ha... you're nothing but a child."

"And I'm a member of the Speedwagon Foundation," said Agent FV. "When they find out the FBI kidnapped innocent civilians-"

"They're not going to do a thing about it," Mr. X said angrily. "And you should be worried about your career. Withholding information, deliberately aiding known Mafiosi, and interfering with a government organization? Oh, yeah, you're going to be going to jail for YEARS, baby."

Anne then realized someone was missing. "Wait. What have you done with Mr. Giovanna and JoJo?"

"You mean DIO Junior and DIO Junior Junior," asked Mr. X. "Normally, I would have them arrested, but due to their 'special immunity', they're just going to go on a first class flight back to Italy and staying there."

"And what about the portal," asked Terri. "I worked so hard on that!"

"Oh, don't worry, dearie," said Mr. X. "It's in good hands."

"When I get out of here, I am gonna..."

"Gonna what," Mr. X challenged Anne. "I'll say it again. You're just a child and I'm a grown up! You couldn't even get where you are now without the help your parents or JoJo!"

Hearing this made Anne's heart sink. "But I..."

"Face it, kid. It's time to stop playing hero before it gets you all in serious trouble. Oh wait... You're ALREADY in serious trouble." Mr. X high fived the guard as he walked out. "Today is a good day."

Anne fell onto her butt and curled her knees to her chest.

"Don't listen to that guy, Anne," said Molly Jo, trying to reassure her.

"Yeah. He's just a well-dressed blowhard," affirmed Humphrey.

"But... he's right... I am just a kid... How am I supposed to save my friends, beat the FBI, rescue JoJo and his father, defeat King Andrias if I can't even bring myself to say goodbye to my parents? All this time, I thought I could do these things but I was wrong."

"Pathetic," said Agent FV harshly. "This is not the girl who beat me back in Amphibia. The girl who's too stubborn to quit, and puts her life on the line for her friends."

Anne's eyes focused on him. "What did you say?"

Agent FV said, "Do you not recognize me, Anne? I'm sure you do. Then again, I was not always human."

"Anne, what is he talking about," Mrs. Boonchuy asked her.

"Did you meet him before," asked Mr. Boonchuy.

Agent FV made a whistle and the guard approached his cell, removing his hat in the process, revealing a face identical to Agent FV's. "Holy crud, they're twins," said Humphrey.

"No...no," Anne said with horrified realization. "It can't be!"

"Anne, what's wrong?!" asked Mr. Boonchuy.

"Funny...Valentine," Anne whispered. Rage built up in her, her blue hair and eyes glowing brighter, until she used her powers to their fullest, blasting through the cell and flying toward Valentine. The other Valentine tried to block her, only to be grabbed and flung through the ceiling, startling her parents and friends. She grabbed what she assumed to be the prime Valentine and slammed him into a wall. "HOW?! HOW ARE YOU HERE?! WE BANISHED YOU TO ANOTHER DIMENSION!"

"Anne, what's going on," asked Mrs. Boonchuy.

"He's one of the bad guys, Mom! He gave me and my friends nothing but grief in Amphibia! But...how are you a human? Last time we saw you, you were a newt!"

"As I said before," Valentine said calmly. "There are an infinite number of dimensions and timelines with an infinite number of counterparts, and my Stand, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, gives me access to them. And in some of those dimensions, I'm a human. In one dimension for example, I'm the President of the United States of America."

"I wouldn't vote for you," said Humphrey.

"Wait, you're a Stand user," exclaimed Terri. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I didn't want Anne, Giorgio, and most of all, his father catching on."

"You manipulated her," shouted Anne as she tightened her grip on him. "For your own selfish plans! I'm gonna kill you!"

Valentine smirked. "There she is. The hero of Amphibia."

Anne's grip on him loosened and her hair started to lose its glow. "I'm no hero. Even with all this power...I can't save anyone."

Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy immediately came to her aid. "Anne, don't be silly," said the latter.

"If anyone can do this, it's you," said the former.

"How do you know?" Anne asked them.

"Are you kidding? Just look at what you already done."

"Survived for months in another world."

"Made friends and fought for people who couldn't fight for themselves."

"Built me that amazing Christmas float."

"Defeated a crazy hunter!"

"And rescued a group of Stand users from a mad scientist." Mrs. Boonchuy paused to wipe her tears. "You have grown so much. You're not my little girl anyone, Anne. You can do this."

"And not matter where you go or what you're doing, we'll be with you the whole way. Right here." Mr. Boonchuy poked her in the chest. "I'm pointing your heart in case you didn't get it."

Anne smiled and hugged her parents. "I got it, Dad." She then glared at her enemy and said, "And I'm gonna stop whatever your plan is, Valentine!"

"Yeah, we're gonna kick your ass," said Mr. Boonchuy. "Oops! I cussed in front of Anne, sorry, honey."

"You get a pass," said Mrs. Boonchuy.

"As much as I enjoy the generic pep talk and hero speech," replied Valentine. "We really must go and stop the FBI from using the portal."

"What are you talking about," asked Terri. "And why should we trust you?"

"Yeah, after all the crap you put me and my friends through, there's no way I would ever trust you," said Anne.

"You don't have to trust me," said Valentine. "But as if right now you don't have a choice. Not if you don't want Amphibia to be blown up."

"Blown up, what do you mean," asked Mr. Boonchuy.

"If the FBI sends the information regarding King Andrias' invasion to Washington D.C., the US Army will use the portal to drop a nuclear bomb on Amphibia."

Everyone gasped. "No! They can't do that!" exclaimed Anne. "My human friends are still there!"

"Which is why-"

Anne pushed Valentine away and said, "Forget what you want! I'm gonna find the Plantars and stop the FBI myself!" She blasted a hole through the wall and flew through it.

"That's my girl," said Mr. Boonchuy. "I hope she doesn't kill anyone."

"And as for you..." Mrs. Boonchuy's voice trailed off when she saw Valentine had already disappeared.

At the same time, Giorgio awoke to find himself in a dark room, surrounded by a ring of blue lights. "Where am I?" he asked. Curious, he stuck a finger in the ring and immediately regretted it as his finger disintegrated. He recoiled in pain, clutching his hand. "UV lights?!"

"That's right, bloodsucker," said a guard watching him. "You're not going anywhere. Except back to Italy with your father."

Giorgio got up and said, "Where is he? Where are Anne and the others?" He started to tremble with anger. "Where are the Plantars?!" he shouted.

"They're in separate cells. And as for those frogs, they're going to be used as evidence to go along with Latin Simone's testimony. And with that portal device we've confiscated from you, we now have the means to defend this planet from the invaders."

"They're not invaders," snapped Giorgio. "They're just humble farmers!"

"You can't protect them this time, stronzo! Yes, I know Italian insults! Anyway, thanks to Latin Simone's Stand, Victoria's Secret, we know everything. King Andrias, his invasion, and that there are Stand users on other planets. And once we fax this information to Washington D.C., not even the Speedwagon Foundaiton or Passione's lawyers will have a say in the matter."

Giorgio said, "Just what are you going to do?"

"As soon as they get the approval, the US Army will use that portal to drop nukes on Amphibiland," the guard said with a smirk. Giorgio gasped with horror. "I swear, we're gonna get promoted for this," the guard said as he left. "Maybe get into the National Guard!"

"First of all, it's Amphibia," said Giorgio. "Second of all, you can't just bomb an alien planet! There are innocent people there! Hey! Come back here!" He tried to chase after the guard, but then he remembered the ring of UV lamps and stopped. Desperately he fired his eye air jets, hoping to destroy the power source, but nothing happened. "Please," he pleaded. "They didn't do anything wrong."

The sound of crashing made him look at the door. The guard from before crashed through it and Giorno Giovanna walked in. "H-How did you escape, Dad," asked Giorgio.

"You really thought a federal prison could keep me locked up? I've been in worse situations."

"Dad, forget about me! You gotta help the Plantars and find the portal! The FBI's gonna give it to the US Army and when they figure out how to work it, they're gonna use it to drop a nuke on Amphibia!"

"That's not going to happen. I'll get you out," said Giorno as he summoned Gold Experience Requiem. But before he could use it, he sensed a presence. He turned around and saw Agent FV.

"You know who I am, don't you," he said.

Giorno narrowed his eyes at him. "Yeah. Funny Valentine. The mayor of Swamp Shiro. My son told me all about you. Though, you're supposed to be a newt."

"Not in this dimension," said Valentine. "And if you know who I am, then you know I need your son, even if he's a side character in Anne's story."

Giorno slowly made his way toward him. "My son is not your tool."

"Dad, be careful," Giorgio shouted. "His Stand, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, has the power to summon copies of himself from alternate dimensions! If he brings a version of you, both you and the copy die!"

"It's alright," said Giorno. "Gold Experience Requiem's power won't let that happen."

Valentine and D4C threw the first punch, but Giorno dodged and took out some bullets and threw them at Valentine. GER turned them into tiger beetles and they began biting and ripping out Valentine's flesh. D4C summoned another Valentine and he grabbed Giorno. Valentine pulled out a gun and fired, but GER turned the bullets into frogs and they bounced off harmlessly. Then GER rapidly punched the Valentine holding its user. "MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA, MUDA!" With one last "MUDA!" it sent the Valentine flying into a wall.

The prime Valentine called upon D4C and it punched its fists into Giorno's head, knocking him backwards. Valentine pulled out his gun again and fired, but Giorno rolled out of the way, grabbed some nuts and bolts that were lying on the ground, and turned them into driver ants. They swarmed onto Valentine and began devouring him, but D4C replaced him with another Valentine.

"I see," said Giorno. "As long as that Stand exists, it will just keep bringing counterparts from alternate dimensions to this one. The one I should be targeting is your Stand!"

"Doyjaaan!" Valentine opened his coat and D4C pulled whatever was in it out. Whatever it was, GER plowed its fist through it. Giorno's eyes widened when he realized he just punched through his own son's chest.

"D...Dad...Dad?" Giorgio gurgled.

Giorno trembled.

"DAD!" shouted Giorgio, who was still in the ring of UV lights. "That's not me! Well, it is me, but it's a me from an alternate reality!"

"But he does make a good distraction, doesn't he," Valentine said as another Valentine appeared and stabbed Giorno in the back. Valentine then sent the alternate Giorgio back to whatever dimension he came from and brought forth an alternate Giorno. He then gave the prime Giorno a kick and sent him into the alternate.

"NOOOOO!" shouted Giorgio.

But then, everything paused and started going in reverse like a VHS tape rewinding. Valentine watched as one Giorno disappeared while the other pulled the knife out his back. "I see. So this is Gold Experience Requiem's true power."

Giorno's eyes were full of tranquil hate. "I don't care if he was from an alternate dimension. You made me attack my son, Valentine. I will never forgive you."

Valentine replied, "You're going to go all out. I've heard rumors of what you did to Diavolo, trapping him in an infinite death loop. In all honesty, even I do not know what would happen if your Gold Experience Requiem does me in. Will I be able to be spared by swapping myself with another me, or will the same fate happen? I do not want to take that chance. I cannot kill you, but I can send you back to Italy."

Valentine grabbed Giorno then he and D4C slammed him into the ground, sinking him into the floor. And then, everything reset again. "Did you forget," Giorno asked. "Gold Experience Requiem undos ALL actions, not just attacks."

Suddenly, there was a loud crash, and both Giorno and Valentine turned to look at the ring of UV lights, only to see it empty with a hole in the floor. Just then, a hand burst out of the floor, grabbed Valentine's ankle and drained him dry of blood. Giorgio rose out of the ground, growling as his wounds healed, "Wryyyyy..." He fully rose out and got up on his feet. "I swore that I would never drink human blood, and you made me break my vow!"

"G-Giorgio?" Giorno had never seen such ferocity in his son before. Suddenly, the power went out. In that instant, Giorgio had disappeared again. "Giorgio," Giorno called out.

In the power room, another Valentine gripped the generator's switch and yanked it out of the wall. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap appeared next to him. "So, I'm the prime Valentine now."

As the power went out and the emergency backup lights turned on, the FBI agents were put on high alert. Three guards in particular saw a glowing blue figure down one end of the corridor. "Hey, that kid escaped! GET HER!"

Anne blasted one guard into a wall with her Calamity power, while using her Ripple to paralyze another. The third guard pounded on the door. "Let me out! LET ME OUT! Let me ooooouuut! LET ME-!" Anne knocked him out cold with a single punch.

"Uhhhh... it says 'pull', dude," she said as she opened the door. She called out to her family and friends, "All right. Coast is clear. Now let's go save some frogs, find JoJo, and beat up Valentine!"

In another corridor, the FBI agents were running away screaming from Giorgio. He threw agent into a wall, grabbed another agent and slammed his body into third agent before throwing him at a fourth. A fifth guard screamed and Giorgio caught him with his blood vein tentacles and threw him through a glass door. He continued to bowl through the guards.

In the interrogation room, Mr. X and Latin Simone noticed the lights go out. "I'll go restart the generator," Mr. X. "Don't let them out of your sight."

Latin Simone sighed as he left. "I'm not one of your men." Suddenly, Giorgio's tentacles snaked their way out of the air vent, grabbed her and slammed her into a wall repeatedly until she was knocked out. Giorgio then crawled out of the vent as the tendrils retracted back into his hand. "Need some help," he asked the Plantars.

"JoJo!" the Plantars exclaimed excitedly.

"Quick," said Polly. "Get us out of these chairs! I wanna kick some butt so bad!"

"You might want to put that on hold," said Giorgio as he broke their bonds with his strength. "Funny Valentine is back and he's in this building."

"VALENTINE?!" exclaimed Sprig. "Isn't the guy with that Stand, Filthy Acts at a Reasonable Price?"

"You mean Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and yes."

"How is that possible," asked Hop Pop. "I thought Anne and the girls zapped him to another dimension!"

"Yeah, well, he came back. D4C lets him travel to alternate dimensions, remember," said Giorgio. "And now he's somewhere in the building."

Suddenly, the door burst open and Anne, her family and friends burst in. "We're here to..." Anne trailed off when she saw the scene. "Aw, man! You beat me, JoJo!"

"Anne! Boy are we glad to see you," said Sprig.

"Are you guys OK?" she asked as she freed Frobo from a pet carrier.

"Mostly," said Hop Pop. "My dignity is admittedly in shambles."

Giorgio found the Plantars' clothes and gave them to them. "Here, put these back on so I don't have to see your naked bodies. Especially yours, Hopediah."

"Hi, Frog Man," said Molly Jo.

Sprig's eyes widened. "Molly Jo?!" He quickly put his clothes back on.

"What up, Frog-Man?" she asked as they high fived.

Hop Pop saw his old acting friend and said, "Humphrey! You helped save us?"

"What can I say," said the old man. "Us actors have to stick together!"

Polly hugged the IT Gals. "Ally! Jess!"

"You fixed Frobo," said Jess, taking note of Frobo's new RC car body.

"Sorta," said Ally when he puked oil.

Dr. Jan said, "Alright, we've got the rescuing part down, now we gotta find that portal before the army arrives and uses it to bomb Amphibia!"

"SAY WHAT?!" Hop Pop exclaimed.

"This is no time for acting," said Humphrey. "We gotta save your home!"

Giorgio saw Latin Simone attempting to crawl away. He grabbed her and brought her to his eye level. "Where is the portal?" She tried to escape, but he slammed his fist into the wall and roared, "WHERE?!"

"B-B-Basement," she whimpered. "T-T-Take the elevator."

Giorgio threw her away. Anne realized something, "JoJo? Why are you so vicious? Where's Mr. Giovanna?"

"I'm right here," said Giorno as he entered the room.

"What's wrong with him," Anne asked.

"He attacked Funny Valentine in a fit of rage and drank his blood."

"WHAT?! JoJo, are you okay?"

"Yeah. Who cares?" Giorgio looked at his bloody hands. "I drank human blood! I lost control and... I hurt those agents on my way here. Valentine made me break my vow. I'm a monster."

"Wait, drink blood?" asked Humphrey. "Are you...?"

"Yes, I'm a vampire."

There was a pause, then everyone who didn't know this secret burst out laughing. "Good one, JoJo," said Humphrey. "Good..." His voice trailed off when Giorgio cut his own finger only for it to heal instantly.

"Oh, my God..." was all everyone who didn't know before but knew now, could think to say.

"It's true. I'm a monster." Anne slapped Giorgio in the face. "Ow! What the hell!"

"What is your deal, JoJo? I've seen you kill many bad guys, and yet THIS gets you upset? Hypocrite."

"Well, it's just..." Giorgio paused. "It's not the killing that gets me, but drinking blood. Doesn't that make me like DIO?"

Anne pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance and said, "First of all, I can tell you're a lot like DIO than you want to admit, and I never even met the guy. You're stubborn, proud, mischievous, you can be cruel to your enemies, you have a big ego, charisma, a knack of getting people to see things 'the Giorgio Giovanna way', and a want to stand out. Kinda like Sasha. However, you're also like Jonathan Joestar. You're brave, kind, not afraid to point out people's flaws, full of righteous fury, noble, and have a way of connecting with people." She wiped his hands clean of blood and said, "Besides, you're a Gang-Star. You're expected to get your hands dirty. Comes with the territory, right? Didn't you say that before?"

"That's right," said Giorno as he put a hand on Giorgio's shoulder. "You maybe DIO's grandson, but you're also Jonathan Joestar's. That birthmark..." He tapped Giorgio's left shoulder, right where the star-shaped birthmark was. "...is proof of it. Your ancestors don't define who you are. You make you."

Giorgio looked at Anne, then at Giorno, then at the people he made friends with and smiled. "It's kinda corny, but it did make me feel a little better." He made a more confident look as he said, "Alright, everyone! The portal's down in the basement! And I bet you five bucks Valentine's waiting for us down there too! We just gotta get to him before the FBI catches us!"

"What are we waiting for," said Polly. "Let's go get him!"

"Wait, so let me get this straight," said Terri. "You're a vampire and a gangster?"

"Son of a gangster, actually," said Giorgio. "Gang leader, to be precise."

"You have a weird taste in friends, Anne."

Meanwhile, Mr. X and Jenny were looking at the security footage of the attack. "Well, that's not good," said the former. Then he saw the group entering the elevator to the lower floors. "Oh, no, you don't!" He grabbed his radio and shouted, "ALL TROOPS! LOCKDOWN THE FACILITY AND GET DOWN TO THE BASEMENT IMMEDIATELY!"

The group ran out the elevator and into a large spacious room that looked like a mad scientist's rumpus room. In the center of it was Funny Valentine, his back turned to them. Giorgio and Anne growled as they approached him, "Valentine."

Valentine turned to face the group. "I was expecting you."

Hop Pop asked, "Agent FV is Funny Valentine?"

"And he's human now," said Polly.

"That's quite the makeover," said Sprig.

"It's payback time," Anne said. "After all the crap you put us through-"

"No," said Giorno as he summoned GER. "He's mine."

"Wait," said Valentine calmly. "I cannot beat you, I realize that. But, as of now, I am the only one who can get your son and his friends to Amphibia."

"No it's not," said Terri. "We built that portal together! And once we steal the generators, we'll have enough power to make one door to Amphibia."

"Really," asked Valentine. "Have you not noticed the smell?"

Everyone sniffed the air. "It smells like...fireworks," questioned Mr. Boonchuy.

Giorgio's eyes widened in realization. "Gunpowder. You...you didn't!"

"Didn't do what," asked Humphrey. "I'm confused."

"HE BLEW THE PORTAL UP!"

The group looked around and noticed all the broken machinery. Anne, Giorgio, Terri, and especially the Plantars, were all hit with a wave of despair. All that hard work, all that research, wasted. "Why would you do that?!" shouted Terri. "All that effort..."

"It was the only way to stop the FBI from bombing Amphibia to ashes," said Valentine. "You should be thanking me, Plantars."

"You...you...BASTARD!" Sprig lunged at him, and his family followed suit...only to be held back by three alternate Valentine counterparts. More Valentines appeared and grabbed the others.

Giorgio's eyes glowed red as he used his hypnosis on the Valentines. "Kill yourselves!" The Valentines took out their guns and shot themselves. Everyone who was not Anne, the Plantars, Giorgio, and the prime Valentine let out shrieks of fear. Giorno was more than shocked at this level of brutality, even for him.

"How did you..."

"Vampiric hypnosis," Giorgio replied to a terrified Dr. Jan before saying to Valentine, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't do the same to you!"

"Because as of right now, I'm the only way to get to Amphibia as I said before. And also because I have enough authority to keep your friends and family out of legal trouble with the FBI, and I can represent them in court should the time come."

Anne's fist tightened as she prepared to blast him with energy...but then she lowered her hand. "Fine. We'll do it your way."

"Huh," said Giorgio, confused. "Are you kidding me, Anne? We can rebuild the portal with Dad's Gold Experience Requiem!"

"It doesn't matter. The FBI knows about the portal and the Plantars. They'll stop at nothing to stop us now. As much as I hate it, Valentine is the only way to Amphibia now. However..." Anne's blue hair and eyes glowed brighter in response to her anger. "...you double-cross anyone, I'll personally travel to every dimension and timeline, hunting down every last one of your counterparts until you are completely dead!"

"Fair enough," said Valentine. "I'll give you five minutes to prepare yourselves and say goodbye. It's literally all the time we have left."

Anne stepped out from behind a wall, garbed in her school uniform and breastplate. "You're going to wear that again?" asked Giorgio.

"Why not, it's iconic," said Anne.

Her parents handed her her backpack. "Here," said her mother. "For you trip." Inside were lunches, a first aid kit, and a spare pair of shoes.

"Guys... this is amazing," said Anne as she took it.

"We have had your care package prepared for a while, waiting for this very moment," continued Mrs. Boonchuy as she and her husband hugged their daughter.

"We are so proud of you," said Mr. Boonchuy. "Now, go finish this thing and bring your friends home."

Giorno and Giorgio shared a hug. "Even though your mother cannot be here, I'll be sure to tell her how proud I am of the man you've become," said Giorno.

"Can you be sure to tell her about the blood-sucking part," asked Giorgio.

"A...Are you sure about that?" Giorgio nodded. "Okay. I'll tell her. You know she won't judge you for it, right?"

"Yeah, I just don't want you to leave out anything. Both the bad, and the good."

"Very well."

The Plantars hugged the Boonchuys' legs. "Thanks, Mr. and Mrs. B, for everything," wept Sprig.

"We'll miss you," wept Polly.

"We'll take good care of Anne and JoJo," said Hop Pop.

Frobo gave the Boonchuys a reassuring nuzzle.

When the moment was finished, Anne, Giorgio, the Plantars and Frobo approached Valentine. "Okay, we're ready," said Anne. "You guys ready?"

"I'm set," said Hop Pop as he took out an avocado. "I've got one avocado left to seed my avocado dynasty."

Valentine summoned Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, but before it could activate its dimensional power, the FBI agents, led by Jenny, burst open the elevator door and surrounded the group. Mr. X slowly clapped his hands as he exited the elevator. "Not bad, Valentine. I never expected this level of treachery from you, helping these aliens and these kids, and destroying the only means of stopping the invasion. Okay, I kinda did. You are in SO much trouble when your superior finds out about this. And you, Anne Boonchuy, turns out, you were more capable than I thought. But... you still fail because no matter WHAT you do, you're still... just... a kid."

Valentine replied, "This 'kid' has done more than you ever know, X. She and the people who are connected to her heart. And I can't let you interfere with the plans I have for her, so...Doyjaaan!" D4C swung Valentine's jacket like a cape and in the blink of an eye, Anne, Giorgio, the Plantars and Frobo were gone.

"WHAT THE?!" everyone exclaimed. Everyone except Giorno that is.

X got angry and confronted Valentine. "How did you make them disappear?! Wait. You're a Stand user?! Oh, I am SOOOO gonna get your ass in the stockade when I'm done with you!" Valentine hung up his phone. X stammered, "Wh-Who did you just call?"

"My boss at the Speedwagon Foundation. He wants to have a word with everyone present in this room. Especially you and your boss, X."

"Pah! You really think you'll win, Valentine?! You're the one who's going to get in trouble for keeping a lot of secrets from your superiors. You and these people are going to explain yourselves!"

"And WE hope YOU'RE ready to listen," said Mr. Boonchuy as he slapped Mr. X's hand away and pointed to him.

"We got a lot to talk about," said Mrs. Boonchuy, who had all her friends backing her and her husband up.

"And speaking of bosses," said Giorno as he summoned GER again. "You also have to answer to me."

Mr. X gulped. "Oh... goody..."

Giorgio looked around and saw he was was in a swampy environment. They did it! They were back in Amphibia! Only, he realized at once something was wrong. He looked up at the sky. It should have been daylight, so he should be a pile of ashes right now, but clouds of smoke were completely blocking the sun and the air was thick with the smell of brimstone. "Anne, Plantars, something's wrong. Guys?" He turned around and saw Anne and the Plantars standing at the top of a hill with looks of horror. He joined them and he understood why they had those looks.

Amphibia had become a desolate wasteland where skeletal trees grew without leaves or branches, and no sign of animal life was in sight. Off in the distance, he, the Plantars, and Anne could see Andrias' castle. It had become a walking fortress supported by four articulated legs and armed with a giant cannon at the top of its highest tower. Surrounding it was an army of floating frobots armed with laser cannons.

"What... happened here?" asked Anne fearfully. For once, Giorgio didn't know what to say.

To be continued...
