"Alright XJ-Nine, you have been transferred to your new body," Jenny heard her mother saying as she opened her eyes.
"Whoa, I'm surprised mom," said Jenny as she got up off a lab table in order to look at herself in a mirror. Her new body gave her a more human shape and the metal of her body was smoother than before.
"I figured you would make me bulkier for weapons," she said.
"No need to do that when you have these," said Nora before holding up a tiny rocket that had been sitting out on another table nearby along with some other kinds of weapons and ammunition.
"Oh right, my weapons have been made smaller than before so they are easier to carry than before," said Jenny.
"That's right, and your body has the new cloaking function that I created so you can blend in with people more," said Nora before pressing a button on Jenny's left wrist.
"Now this is cool," said Jenny as a hologram appeared over her body which made her look like a light skinned teen with blue eyes and white hair. It also created a blue and white dress to cover her body.
"I hope it's to your liking, XJ-Nine," said Nora.
"I love it just as much as I love you, mom," said Jenny while hugging the older woman who hugged her back.
"That's good to hear, now you had better get going so you can see your friends," said Nora as she broke out of the hug and started to shoo her away.
"Thanks mom, I'll be back before dinner," said Jenny before she rushed out.
"Things have been going so well… for us," said Nora before coughing into her gloved hand.
"But no matter what, we all run out of time sooner or later," she said while looking at blood splatter on her glove.
