The lights of the stage flickered on, illuminating the figure of a 21-year-old man with raven black hair. He stood tall, his guitar slung over his shoulder as he took a deep breath. The crowd before him was buzzing with energy, their cheers and screams filling the air. This was the moment he had been waiting for, the chance to showcase his talent and win the hearts of the audience.
The music started to play, the man began to sing, his voice smooth, energetic and full of passion. He strummed his guitar with fervour, his fingers dancing across the strings as he poured his heart into the performance. The audience was captivated, their eyes glued to the stage as they were swept away by the man's energetic and powerful voice.
With each verse, the man's energy seemed to grow, his voice becoming louder and more passionate. He moved across the stage, his body swaying to the beat as he sang his heart out. The audience couldn't help but match his energy, their cheers and applause growing with each passing moment.
The man's performance was like a wildfire, spreading through the crowd and igniting a sense of wild excitement within them. They jumped and danced along with him, completely lost in the music and the moment. It was as if they were all connected, united by the power of his voice and the energy that radiated from him.
As the song came to an end, the man let out a final, powerful note, holding it for what seemed like an eternity. The audience erupted into a frenzy, their cheers and screams echoing throughout the auditorium. The man's face lit up with a wide smile as he took a bow, his heart filled with joy and satisfaction.
He had won the hearts of the audience and in that moment, he knew that this was what he was meant to do. The stage was his home, and his music was his way of connecting with others and spreading joy and energy. As he walked off the stage, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to share his gift with the world.
Ever since he was a young boy, Ash had always been passionate about music. His parents, both renowned singers and musicians, had instilled in him a love for the art that would stay with him for the rest of his life. So when he was given the opportunity to record his first album at the age of 14, he jumped at the chance.
Little did he know, that album would be the start of a successful career that would make him a world-famous singer.
Ash's debut album was a hit, garnering him a legion of loyal fans who were captivated by his soulful voice and charismatic stage presence. His parents' influence in the music industry also helped boost his popularity, making him a household name in no time.
But it wasn't just his musical talent that made Ash stand out. With his tall, lean frame, dark hair, and piercing brown eyes, he was considered to be one of the most handsome men in the industry. His fangirls couldn't get enough of him, and soon he was receiving thousands of fan letters and gifts from all over the world.
As Ash's fame grew, so did his confidence. He became known for his stylish fashion sense and charming personality, often being compared to a young heartthrob. Many even suggested that he should try his hand at modelling, with some saying he could easily become the face of a high-end fashion brand.
But despite all the fame and attention, Ash remained humble and grounded. He never let the success get to his head, always remembering where he came from and the hard work that went into his music.
He released more albums and went on world tours, Ash's fame only continued to grow. He became a household name not just in the music industry, but in the entertainment world as a whole.
Ash stepped out of the concert venue, the sound of his own voice and music still ringing in his ears, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. His performance had been a success, with the crowd singing along to every word and cheering for more. But as he made his way towards his car, he was quickly brought back to reality by the swarm of interviewers waiting for him.
"What inspired you to write that last song, Mr.Ketchum?" one of them asked, thrusting a microphone in his face.
Ash took a deep breath and forced a smile. He was used to these kinds of questions, but that didn't make them any less ridiculous. "Well, I was feeling really emotional that day and the words just came pouring out. It's a very personal song for me."
He knew the interviewer would take this as an invitation to pry into his personal life and he wasn't wrong. "Can you tell us more about your personal life? Are you currently in a relationship?"
Ash resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He had been in the music industry long enough to know that his personal life was always fair game for the media. But he wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of revealing anything. "I like to keep my personal life private. Let's stick to talking about my music."
But the questions kept coming, some even more awkward and invasive than the last. Ash did his best to deflect them, but it was a constant battle. And as he tried to make his way through the crowd, he could hear the faint screams of fangirls and fans, begging for his attention and autographs.
He couldn't help but feel grateful for their support, but at the same time, he was exhausted. All he wanted to do was get into his car and drive home, away from the chaos and prying eyes. But he knew he couldn't leave without acknowledging his fans.
So, he took a deep breath and plastered on his signature smile as he made his way towards them. He signed autographs, took pictures, and answered a few more questions, all the while trying to maintain his composure.
After finishing everything up, Ash took a deep breath and stepped into his car. He let out a sigh of relief as he closed the door, grateful for the small moment of peace and quiet. But as soon as he sat down, he saw his older sister Leaf sitting in the passenger seat, her green eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Hey there, little brother" she said with a playful tone. "How was the interview?"
Ash rolled his eyes, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "It was...very interesting," he replied with a hint of sarcasm.
Leaf laughed and ruffled his hair affectionately. "I'm sure it was. You always handle these things with such grace and charm."
Ash couldn't help but let out a snort. "More like I struggle to maintain my composure and not make a fool out of myself."
Leaf shook her head, her long brown hair falling in soft waves around her face. She was always the more confident and outgoing sibling, with her stunning looks and charming personality. Some people even said that the Ketchum siblings were blessed with good genes, and many were envious of their beauty.
As Leaf started the car, she glanced at Ash with a knowing look. "Don't let it get to you, Ash. You did great out there."
Ash smiled gratefully at his sister. She always knew the right things to say to make him feel better. "Thanks, Leaf. I couldn't have done it without your support."
As the car continued to move, Leaf decided to start a conversation with her brother. She knew he needed a distraction from his thoughts.
"I hear you've been hanging out with Dawn a lot lately" she said with a teasing smirk.
Ash rolled his eyes, knowing exactly where this conversation was headed. "Leaf, we're not having this discussion again. I've told you, I'm not interested in relationships right now."
Dawn was Ash's best friend, and also a talented singer like him. She was a beautiful woman with long, wavy blue hair and a contagious smile. Ash had known her since they were kids, and they had formed a close bond over their shared love for music.
Leaf let out an annoyed sigh. "But why not, Ash? Dawn is perfect for you. She's beautiful, talented, and she cares about you."
Ash shrugged, feeling frustrated. "I just don't see her that way. We're just friends, and that's how I want to keep it."
Leaf could tell that her brother was getting irritated, so she dropped the subject. But she couldn't help but worry about him being alone. She knew how much he had been hurt in the past, and she didn't want him to go through that again.
"But I just don't want my little brother to be alone. I want someone to take care of him" she said with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
Ash couldn't help but smile at his sister's protective nature. "I'll be fine, Leaf. I don't need someone to take care of me. I have you, mom, dad and our friends."
Leaf let out a sigh, still not convinced. She knew her brother could take care of himself, but she couldn't help but worry. Ash was her little brother after all.
"So, you don't want a wife to take care of you?" Leaf asked, trying to understand her brother's perspective.
Ash nodded his head "Yeah, I don't want a wife to take care of me."
Leaf sighed again, feeling a bit exasperated. Ash always seemed to have a valid reason for everything, but she couldn't help but wonder if there was another reason behind his reluctance towards relationships.
Ash noticed the look on his sister's face and got a playful hint in his eyes. He couldn't resist teasing her a little.
"Why do you care so much anyway? You're getting older, maybe it's time for you to be in a relationship, my dear older sister" Ash said with a smirk.
Leaf's cheeks flushed with annoyance as she puffed them out in frustration. She hugged her brother, trying to hide her embarrassment.
"First of all, I'm not that much older than you. And secondly, I'm not interested in relationships. I just want to take care of you" Leaf replied, her voice muffled by Ash's shoulder.
Ash laughed and hugged her back, "That's why you became my manager, right?"
Leaf let out a little giggle "I guess that's one of the reasons. But mostly, it's because I love you and want to make sure you're always taken care of."
Leaf watched as Ash's expression went from happy and carefree to serious and contemplative. She knew exactly what he was thinking about – the girl they had met in the music store all those years ago. It was a memory that was etched into both of their minds, even though they were just kids at the time.
They had been visiting their grandparents' town for the summer. During their playful talk Ash hears his grandmother mentioning about a music store nearby this makes Ash excited. He dragged his older sister to the nearby music store. Ash loved music and Leaf was always happy to tag along with her little brother. That day, they meet a special girl.
Now, almost two decades later, Leaf couldn't help but worry for her brother. She knew that there was a chance the girl had moved on or forgotten about them. But she didn't have the heart to tell Ash. She didn't want to see him get hurt.
But as she looked at him now, lost in his thoughts, Leaf knew that she had to say something. She took a deep breath and spoke up, her voice gentle but firm.
"Ash, I know what you're thinking about. And I just want to say that it's been a long time. The girl we met in the music store, she might not even remember us. And even if she does, she might be in a relationship now."
Ash's expression fell, and Leaf could see the disappointment in his eyes. But to her surprise, he just shrugged and smiled.
"It's okay, Leaf. I'm not really interested in relationships anyways. I just want to focus on my music and my career" he said, his voice filled with determination.
The car reached their house, he said good night to his older sister and headed to his room. Leaf watched him go, feeling a mix of emotions. She was sad that things didn't turn out the way she hoped, but she also felt proud of Ash for knowing what he wanted and not being influenced by others.
Sitting in his room, Ash couldn't stop thinking about the conversation in the car. He was grateful to Leaf for being understanding and not making things awkward between them. But as he sat on his bed, he noticed a cute straw hat with a blue ribbon lying on his bedside table.
He picked it up and looked at it, memories flooding back to him. It was the same straw hat that he had received from the girl he had met when he was a child. She had given him the hat as a memory of their friendship and he had treasured it ever since.
Ash stared at the hat, emotions and feelings swirled inside him. He couldn't deny that he had always held a special place in his heart for that girl, even though they had lost touch over the years.
He gently kissed the hat and whispered, "I hope I meet you soon, Sapphire." Ash knew that his music was his top priority, but deep down, he still longed for the companionship and connection he had shared with Sapphire.
The last few months constant interviews and pressure had taken its toll on Ash. He was exhausted and seemed to have lost the spark that made him love music concerts in the first place.
One day, Leaf noticed that Ash seemed exhausted and worn out. He had dark circles under his eyes and he was constantly yawning. She knew that he needed a break from all the chaos and decided to take him on a small trip to Lumiose City.
"Come on, Ash. Let's take a small break and go to Lumiose City for a few days" Leaf suggested.
Ash's face lit up at the mention of Lumiose City. It was his favourite place in the world. "Really? Can we go to the water theme park and see the world's biggest art and music museum?" he asked excitedly.
Leaf smiled at her little brother's enthusiasm. "Of course, we can. But first, we need to pack our bags."
As they were packing, the siblings couldn't help but banter with each other.
"Make sure you pack your toothbrush, Ash. Your breath smells like a Buffalo's den" Leaf teased.
"Ha ha, very funny. And make sure you don't forget your makeup, Leaf. You don't want to scare away all the street dogs with your face" Ash retorted.
Their mother Delia, who was watching them from the doorway, shook her head and chuckled. "You two are grown up, but you still act like kids."
The siblings turned to their mother and exclaimed in unison, "We're not kids!"
But they couldn't hide the smiles on their faces. They loved teasing each other and it was one of the things that made their bond as siblings so strong. Leaf and Ash quickly packed their bags, excited for their mini vacation.
The Ketchum siblings enjoy their little vacation in lumiose city, oneday Leaf couldn't help but notice a flyer for a special music contest happening in the city. She decided to take her brother, Ash was initially hesitant, not wanting to be in the spotlight or attract too much attention. But Leaf convinced him that they could enter under disguised identities, just for fun. And with that, they quickly put together their costumes and headed to the music hall.
They entered the hall, they were greeted with a flurry of activity. Musicians from all over were preparing for their performances and fans were eagerly waiting for their favourite artists to take the stage. Leaf and Ash were careful to avoid any media or fans, not wanting to give away their true identities.
Ash and Leaf make their way through the bustling hall, careful not to draw any attention to themselves. They were used to sneaking around and hiding their identities, it was a necessary skill for them as they were both famous.
The siblings found their way to their designated seats and settled in, eager to watch everyone perform. As the announcer took the stage and introduced the first act, Ash and Leaf couldn't help but exchange excited glances.
The first few performances were amazing, with each artist showing off their unique style and talent. But as the announcer called out the next performer, 'Serena' Ash and Leaf's attention was immediately piqued. They feel like they have heard that name before.
In the backstage, a 21-year-old woman with cascading honey-blonde waves framed her face, gently swaying with every step. Her captivating blue eyes held a depth that echoed peace and serene. Dressed in an elegant ensemble, she wore a wooden bracelet on her wrist, adorned with delicate engravings of sapphire and hazel. The subtle grace in her movements hinted at a quiet strength and her presence commanded attention, much like the calm before a captivating storm.
She was a well-known artist in the city, but the magnitude of tonight's audience exceeded any she had faced before. A nervous energy coursed through her veins, yet the gentle encouragement from her mother became the anchor she needed. With a deep breath, she stepped into the spotlight.
She didn't know why, but today, she felt compelled to share a particular tune that tugged at the strings of her memory. It was a melody she had learned from a special boy during the beautiful days of her childhood. The thought of sharing this cherished tune with the audience filled her with both excitement and a touch of nostalgia.
Serena stepped onto the stage, all eyes were instantly drawn to her. Her presence was captivating, her beauty radiating under the bright stage lights. The audience fell silent, waiting for her to begin her performance. Leaf couldn't help but notice how her brother was completely entranced by Serena. She playfully nudged him and whispered, "Isn't she pretty?"
Ash's gaze was fixated on Serena, but he was snapped out of his trance by Leaf's words. He absentmindedly replied, 'Yeah...' before realising what he had said. His face flushed with embarrassment and he quickly looked away, hoping no one noticed.
Leaf could tell her brother was flustered, so she changed the topic to save him from further embarrassment. "I mean her dress" she said, gesturing to Serena's elegant outfit. "I hear she's a famous musician in the city."
Ash's ears perked up at the mention of a famous musician. He didn't remember anyone with her name. "Really?" he asked, his curiosity increased. Leaf nodded, her eyes never leaving Serena's figure on stage. "But the sad part is," she continued, "she lost her voice in an accident when she was a child."
Ash's heart sank at the thought of someone losing their ability to speak. He couldn't imagine how difficult that must have been for Serena. Suddenly, his admiration for her grew even more.
The music began to fill the theatre, the crowd was mesmerised by Serena's flawless execution. Her fingers danced effortlessly over the keys of the piano. Everyone in the room was captivated by her performance, except for two people - the Ketchum siblings.
Ash and his older sister Leaf sat in the audience with a stunned expression on their faces. They couldn't believe what they were hearing. The tune that Serena was playing was one that they were all too familiar with. It was a tune that had been etched into their memories from when they were children.
Ash's mind raced as he tried to make sense of what was happening. But, how did Serena know it? It was a tune that only three people knew - himself, his mother, and a girl he had met in a music store when he was a child.
He sat in the audience with shock, listening to Serena play the same tune that he had played with that girl all those years ago. His mind raced with emotions and feelings he couldn't quite understand. Could it really be her? The girl from his childhood? The one he had never been able to forget?
The music came to an end, the room erupted into applause. Everyone was on their feet, cheering and clapping for Serena.
Determined to find out the truth, Ash stood up from his seat and his disguise fell apart revealing his true identity. The surrounding audience recognized him instantly, and before he knew it, he was surrounded by fans asking for photos and autographs. He couldn't disappoint them, so he obliged, all the while keeping an eye on the performance stage, hoping to catch a glimpse of Serena.
But as the crowd dispersed Ash found himself standing alone in the hallway with a heavy heart. He had missed his chance to meet her, to reconnect with the girl who had captured his heart so long ago. And now, he was left with nothing but regret and a broken heart.
Ash decided to return to his older sister. As he walked, he noticed a wooden bracelet on the ground. He picked it up, sensing a familiarity, and stared at the engraved names. While lost in his thoughts, he heard footsteps approaching.
Two pairs of eyes locked …..Hazel meeting Sapphire…..and tears welled up in Ash's eyes.
Serena having lost her precious wooden bracelet after her performance, searched for it desperately. Tears stung at the corners of her eyes as she continued her search, her heart sinking with each passing moment. Just when she was about to give up hope, she spotted her precious bracelet in the hands of a raven haired man before her. Sapphire eyes meet with hazel.
Serena's eyes widened in disbelief as she recognized the man in front of her. It was the boy who had changed her life, the one who had introduced her to the world of music and had stolen her heart. She couldn't believe he was here, looking at her lovingly, holding her precious bracelet in his hands.
Their eyes met and a whirlwind of emotions engulfed her veins. She could see the same emotions reflected in his hazel eyes. Without a word, he opened his arms and she ran into them, tears streaming down her face.
The embrace was filled with a depth of emotion that words couldn't capture. It was a reunion of two souls who had been separated for far too long. They held onto each other tightly, not wanting to let go.
Witnessing this emotional and beautiful reunion, Leaf and Grace couldn't hold back their tears. The tears of joy that streamed down Ash and Serena's faces mirrored the emotions reflected in Leaf and Grace's eyes. The depth of connection between the two, feelings forged over years and rekindled in a moment, tugged at their hearts.
Ash and Serena separated from the hug, Ash cupped her face in his hands, his eyes gazing into hers with a mixture of love and longing. In a moment filled with tenderness, he gently brushed his lips against Serena's and whispered softly.
"Thank you for waiting for me, Sapphire."
