CHAPTER 11

The Final Battle: The Exposition

Meliodas, Arthur, Clay, and Peril, who were all accompanied by Soar and Sky, flew over to the SkyWing palace after getting word from Queen Moorhen. As Arthur dismounted from Peril, and Meliodas dismounted from Clay, Soar and Sky flew above the battlegrounds of the Sky Palace. When Sky saw Queen Scarlet and her soldiers coming, he warned Meliodas and Peril, saying that their numbers were greater.

"I don't think numbers would win a battle." said Peril. "It matters if Scarlet loses this war and we end up winning."

"Yes." said Soar. "Daughter Peril, make sure you keep your brother safe."

"I will, Father." said Peril.

Arthur was looking at the horizon. Scarlet was coming. "She's coming!" Arthur later yelled.

"Steady, everyone." said Meliodas. "Steady."

Scarlet later landed with Queen Battlewinner and Morrowseer. Hendrickson and Gilthunder were waiting for the signal from Scarlet.

"Are we ready for war, Scarlet?" asked Gilthunder.

"We're almost ready, Gilthunder." said Scarlet.

As the shine from Arthur's sword Excalibur was exposed, Queen Scarlet later led her troops to battle. "Attack!" she later yelled out bold.

Morrowseer flew ahead of Queen Scarlet as sScarlet first took flight. Moonwatcher later dragged her father to the ground.

"Father, why must we fight like this?!" asked Moonwatcher. "You were never this much of a disgrace to me when I was young!"

"Moonwatcher…I was sided with Queen Battlewinner!" Morrowseer said as he hit Moonwatcher.

"Moon!" yelled Qibli.

"Gah…" said Moonwatcher. "I…I'm fine."

"You don't look like it." said Winter. "Quick!" he later yelled. "I'll get Moon some medicine."

"Father!" yelled Moonwatcher. "Come back to Mother Secretkeeper!"

Morrowseer had an angry look on his face. As Battlewinner blocked his path, she walked up to Moonwatcher. "Your father no longer loves you." said Battlewinner.

"Stop this at once, everyone!" yelled Moorhen. "Scarlet," Moorhen spoke with a stare at the SkyWing Queen, "Release Asha and Cattail."

"...They are dead." said Burn and Blister.

"Scarlet ordered me to kill them." said Burn.

Moorhen grew more angrier at the SandWings allied with Scarlet. Blaze later wanted to confront her sisters Blister and Burn.

"Sisters, stop this at once!" yelled Blaze. "You have not only ruined countless lives, but claimed the lives of many, too! What has gotten through your think, draconic SandWing heads recently?!"

"Blaze, I'm sorry." said Blister. "But this has to be done."

"No it does not." said Smoulder.

"Oh, and now you're against us, too?" asked Burn. "How intriguing."

"Guys, knock this off at once." said Meliodas.

"Hah, and look at you fighting with a broken sword." said Burn.

"Hey, stop making fun of Meliodas!" yelled Elizabeth.

"And why do you have a defenseless girl with you?!" asked Blister.

"You really are mean." said Blaze.

Blister and Burn later left.

"Now where are they going?!" asked Snowfall.

Winter later flew off to see what was happening. He later saw Hvitur chained up.

"It's Hvitur, Queen Cousin." said Winter.

"What?!" asked Queen Snowfall.

Snowfall later flew out to see Hvitur.

"Queen Snowfall, my apologies to you." said Hvitur.

"Hvitur, what have they done to you?" asked Queen Snowfall.

"Hvitur said that Fjord did not deserve to get executed." said Blister. "Therefore, I must do the unthinkable."

Hvitur was later snatched by Peril.

"Hey!" yelled Burn. "Bring him back!"

"I'll teach you big, mean, ferocious SandWings not to bother such beautiful IceWings anymore." said Peril. "Clay, breathe fire at Blister and Burn."

"Not unless we do it first!" yelled Blister.

Blister later breathed a fume of fire, attempting to murder Clay. However, Clay did the same thing blocking the fire.

"You obviously didn't kill me." said Clay.

"Blister, what on earth is wrong with you?!" asked Burn. "You were supposed to kill him!"

Blister later flew away after growling at Burn. As Clay looked upon Blister flying, he later growled at Burn, and flew off into the unknown.

"Where is Clay going?" asked Meliodas.

As Peril gasped, she decided to go after Clay.

Clay stopped at a mountain top. There, he and SandWing Blister were later facing off face to face, eyes to eyes. As Diane walked towards the battle, she picked up Blister.

"What are you doing, you giant Sin?!" asked Blister to Diane.

"Next time, don't mess with your continent's dragons!" yelled Diane as she threw Blister.

"BLISTER!" yelled Burn. She later flew off to attempt to save Blister. Sadly, Blister met her immediate demise after being skewered on a mountaintop's spiky point.

"Blister…Blister….BLISTER!" yelled Burn. "Whoever did this to my precious sister is going to pay the price!"

Meanwhile, in the scavenger sanctuary, Leaf and Wren, two scavengers, were watching everything unfold from their temporary hideout den. As Leaf went outside to investigate, he was spotted by Sky who noticed them from afar. He decided to soar down to see what exactly was going on.

"Leaf, Wren," spoke Sky. "I was watching what you were doing from the Sky Kingdom."

"What's going on?" asked Leaf.

"Scarlet and her subordinates have invaded several outside kingdoms and we need your help in stopping her."

"Your Queen?" asked Wren. "Invading kingdoms of the unknown distance?"

"There's no time to explain. Come quickly." said Sky.

Wren and her brother hopped on Sky's back and went off to the Sky Kingdom.
