The sun was setting in the mystical land of Equestria as everything seemed peaceful for the moment until a motorcycle jumped over a sand dune as it was making its way through the desert. Trail, in a new ninja suit, was seen riding on it as it looked like he was in a hurry. "Come team, move, move, move! We're running out of time!" He called out as he jumped over another sand dune. "Pick up the pace!"

"Yes, Ninja! It's up to us to save the day… again!" Landrush called as he rode in his vehicle. Then three other motorcycles rode in, which showed Aqua, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash riding them.

"Roger that, Trail. We're right behind you!" Applejack called out.

"And in style and fast!" Rainbow exclaimed with a smile.

"Frost, do you have a read?" Aqua asked as Frost came in while riding on his tumbler.

"ETA… too late, unless we break all speed limits." Frost said as another motorcycle came in.

"Then let's break it!" Pinkie cheered while on her bike.

"Then increase velocity!" Frost called as the two drove faster.

"Already on it." Pixal said in Frost's head as they drove faster.

Then coming up behind the group were a couple of tanks. One of them was pure white with cannons, and the second one was green-detail. "Ninja, Celestia, Luna, Misako and I have reached the rendezvous point." Wu spoke up in the monitors, which Lloyd was in the white one. "Where are you?"

"The museum is still 5 klicks away!" Lloyd informed through the monitors.

"Don't worry, Sensei, we're on our way!" Gaia promised as another tank came in.

"Hope you haven't forgotten about us!" Flash called as he, Spike and Twilight are sharing the same tank together with Twilight and Spike are in the back.

"Did we miss it?" Twilight asked them.

"Not yet, but we must hurry!" Gaia called out from the second tank. "We're running out of time!"

Then coming in from the side was Fluttershy, who was sitting on an animal theme bike. "I hope we get there! We might not make it!" She cried.

Don't worry, darling." Rarity spoke up while riding a fashionable bike. "We will make it!"

Then coming from above was the jet. "Look out, kid! Thunder to save the day!" Thunder called out in the jet as he flew over them. "Hey, race you there, Lloyd!"

"I still don't understand why Flash gave you the Super Sonic Raider jet." Lloyd wondered.

"I've been wondering about that myself since Twilight and Flash got back from their honeymoon." Spike commented.

"Uh, because I asked and I called dibs." Thunder said with a smirk as Landrush's vehicle served on the road. "The pony who calls dibs first gets it, right, Landrush?" He asked as Landrush then drifted off as Landrush struggled to control his vehicle as he started fading in and out. "Right, Landrush? Landrush?" He asked as he got no answer.

Landrush looked at himself as his hooves became more transparent. "Let me go get him! He's drifting off again!" Gaia shouted as she turned around. Meanwhile, Landrush looked frightened as he couldn't press any of the buttons.

"No… No!" He shouted as he began to drive uphill. "Come back! Come back!" Landrush's vehicle then moved uphill. "No!" He cried as Landrush was heading toward Gaiaon the ground.

"Landy! Look out!" Gaia called as served around to avoid getting hit by Landrush's vehicle as the Earth Ninja regained control as he landed.

"S-Sorry, Gaia." Landrush apologies as the two drove back to the others.

"Whew, it's alright, darling." Gaia said in relief as she drove up next to him. "I know you're a ghost, but I'm still in the living world and I kinda like to keep it that way, please."

"Ninja! Time is of the essence!" Wu spoke up through the monitors.

"We know!" Flash called out before he looked at the others. "Team, form up!" They soon drove in formation as their vehicles came together to form the new sonic raider. With their vehicles combined together, they gained more speed as the afterburners gave them an extra boost.

"Lock…" Trail started.

"Loaded!" Aqua finished.

"And jet speed reporting for duty, sir!" Thunder added.

"Fire all engines!" Lloyd shouted as they went full speed straight towards Equestria City.

The Ninja and the Council all drove through the streets while creatures around are holding lanterns as they parked up right at the museum as they exited their rides and rushed up to the two sisters, Misako, and Wu. "Masters! Are we too late?" Twilight asked desperately.

"There may yet be time left." Celestia said as she looked up at the greenish moon.

"Ninja, go!" They all did Spinjitzu as they entered the museum and into a room.

A bit later, they exited the room, which happens to be the gift shop with a few lanterns sitting on some shelves. "You know you could've walked in, like normal ponies." A dark orange unicorn mare with a brown mane with a few light blue streaks told them with a brow.

"Plus, there's no way we wouldn't have let you guys celebrate today without lanterns." Another unicorn of mirror that looked like the other except with her mane having the reverse colors of the other mentioned.

"Sorry Tempura and Clockwise. We were kinda in a rush." Twilight apologized with a smile.

"And where's the fun in that?" Rainbow asked with a smile. "We're not your normal everyday ponies."

"If you say so." Tempura said with a shrug.

"At least our mission is accomplished." Thunder said with a smile.

"Yes, a Day of the Departed celebration is incomplete without a Day of the Departed lantern." Frost said while holding his lantern.

"True, so any plans for tonight?" Tempura asked them.

"Other than spending some time with our family and having a great party night?!" Pinkie shouted with excitement as she jumped around with her lantern. "Nothing much."

"Okay." Clockwise said with a small chuckle.

"Oh, this is my favorite holiday." Aqua said as she looked at the lanterns. "I love all the lights."

"And the costumes." Trail added while seeing some young creatures wearing costumes while walking by.

"And the candy." Thunder added as some of the young creatures were holding bags of candy.

"It almost reminds me of Nightmare Night during this time." Rainbow mentioned with a smirk before Luna's daughter flew by wearing a scary mask that made Rainbow jump.

"Hahaha, good one!" Luna praised her daughter while patting her head.

"Yes, enjoy the fun and festivities." Wu said to them with a smile. "But never lose sight of the true meaning of the Day of the Departed."

"Brother is right." Celestia said while holding her daughter. "Today is about remembrance. We light lanterns to remember our ancestors, and to settle our debts."

"Yeah, got it, got it. Lanterns, ancestors, debts, but candy too, right?" Thunder asked with a smile.

"I know it is!" Pinkie added as she ate some chocolate.

"Hey, since you all still have time, me and my sister have something to show all of you." Clockwise told them. "It's a special little exhibit we added in the museum in your honor."

"Wait, really?" Rarity asked in surprise.

"Our father set it up. It's not open right now, but you all can take a sneak peak." Tempura said as she and her sister led the group to the unknown part of the museum as they entered through the doors. "Might we present the Hall of Villainy!" She announced as they all looked in awed as they saw some statues of their old enemies they've faced in the past.

"We have Cryptor." Clockwise started as Frost looked at his replica enemy.

"A plastic mannequin." Frost said.

"Kozu and Roodaka." Tempura continued while pointing to the two stone warriors.

"Uncanny." Lloyd said.

"Chen." Clockwise continued while pointing towards Chen.

"Good riddance." Gaia commented.

"Samukai." Tempura added, gesturing to the first villain the ninja fought.

"Is he looking at me?" Thunder asked uneasily.

"He always scares me." Fluttershy muttered.

"Maybe from the past." Wu told them.

"Morro." Clockwise said while pointing at the mannequin of Celestia's and Sensei Wu's former pupil.

"Some past things we wish to change." Celestia mentioned.

"And not just the villains the ninja have faced, but also what the council had faced such as Nightmare Moon." Tempura said as she pointed to thepointed to the mannequin of Nightmare Moon, which made Luna feel a little uneasy.

"Good thing Nyx isn't here." Twilight said.

"Even I feel uneasy about that one." Luna said with a cringing.

"Storm King." Clockwise said while pointing to the monkey ape.

"Glad he's locked up." Rainbow said.

"Tirek." Tempura said as pointing to the young version of Tirek.

"Sheesh, as egotistic as I remember." Applejack said.

"Sombra." Clockwise said while pointing to the evil version of Sombra.

"My love won't like that." Luna said.

"Queen Chrysalis." Tempura added while looking at Queen Chrysalis former form.

"Glad she's changed." Spike mentioned before he noticed a mannequin of Pythor. "Huh, even Pythor? Has anyone seen him since the war?"

"Not really. Possibly out causing trouble while searching for more of his kind." Flash said with a shrug. "But he hasn't bothered us since, so at least that's something."

"Oh, but check this out." Tempura said with a smile. "We don't just open on the Day of the Departed." She started.

"It's a very rare occasion because it's the Day of the Departed lunar eclipse." Clockwise finished as she gestured to a scroll of the moon in different formations on a desk. "A special eclipse."

"The rarest Yin-Yang eclipse." Wu spoke up as they walked up to the scroll.

"Oh, poetic, is it not?" A stallion's voice asked as a unicorn stallion with a light orange coat and a long mustache walked up to them. "Scary holiday, scary exhibits, scary moon, there is magic in the air. One that neither Princess Luna nor Celestia had ever anticipated before. Boogily-boogily!" He said in a spooky tone.

"Dr. Saunders, it's great to see you again." Twilight said with a smile.

"Ah, Princess Twilight. It's great to see you too." Dr. Saunders said with a smile. "But please, we are all friends. You must call me by my first name, yes? Sander, yes?" He asked with a smile.

"Dr. Sander Saunders?" Trail whispered to his sister as they all gave playful smiles.

"At your service." Dr. Saunders said with a smile.

"Dad." Tempura and Clockwise said with slight embarrassment.

"Do you have to keep doing this?" Clockwise asked with a slight embarrassed look.

"Anyway, I'm surprised that you guys have an exhibit of every villain we have faced over the years." Trail mentioned in awe after looking around the room. Landrush sat down his lantern and looked around for a bit before he noticed a familiar painting hanging above some sort of weapon.

"Not every villain." He said to himself as he was looking at the painting of Sensei Yang.

"No, there are many more to unpack." Dr. Saunders said to them. "Overlord, Nadakhan, Pony of Shadows. All the ones who tried to destroy you. Exciting."

"Uh, yeah, exciting." Rarity said with a weirded out look.

Landrush ran up to the painting and the weapon as he looked at the description. "'Although known to some as the master without a student, Kodakuna Yang will be remembered by most as the creator of Airjitzu, the most powerful martial art in history.'" He read while eyeing the weapon as he gave a scoff. "Actually, I remember Yang as the pony who turned me into a ghost." He said bitterly while looking at himself before turning back to the weapon.

Landrush then walked close to it. "Hey, uh, Dr. Saunders? What's the story on this thing?" He asked as his hoof phased through the glass as he was about to touch it, but he backed away and turned around. "Hello? Dr. Saunders? Anypony?" He asked as the others walked up to him.

"Look at that!" Rainbow said excitedly as she rushed up to the weapon Landrush was looking at. "Cool."

"Ah, you have a good eye, Rainbow." Tempura said with a smile.

"Her?" Landrush asked in confusion. "I'm the one who spotted-" He was cut off as the others then walked past him like he wasn't there. "Hey, watch it! You guys are walking right through me." He said to them, but the others somehow didn't hear him.

"The Yin Blade belongs to Master Yang." Clockwise said to them. "It is said to possess much dark magic."

"They don't hear me. Or see me." Landrush said as he walked up to Gaia. "Gaia? Can you hear me?" He asked as he tried to grab her by the shoulder, but his hoof went through her as Gaia gave a small scratch. "What? Not even her? It's like I don't exist anymore, And it's all your fault!" He yelled at the Yang portrait while Celestia's daughter was trying to reach out for Landrush. "Oh, somebody can see me." He said with a small smile as Celestia's daughter continued to try and reach out to him. "But why can't the others?"

The portrait of Yang then moved a bit. "Landrush… Come, come." He whispered as Landrush was surprised as he walked towards it.

"Uh… Tell me you heard that." Landrush said fearfully.

"Come…Landrush…" Yang's voice called out again as Tempura continued.

"You see, in this impenetrable magic proof case made of Clear Stone, a very powerful weapon used by Sensei Yang himself, and the most dangerous." She told them while pointing to the weapon.

Landrush heard her before going back to the portrait. "Landrush…"

"Yang." Landrush replied as he looked up at the painting.

"Close the circle…" Yang spoke up as it moved.

"Close the circle?" Landrush repeated.

"Close the circle…" Yang continued.

"Close the circle," Landrush repeated as he shook his head to snap out of it before he saw the others were not around as he walked up to the window and saw them at the entrance.

"Thank you so much for such an informative tour, Dr. Saunders." Twilight said with a smile. "Now come on, everyone. We have our families to get back to, and I have to start the ceremony for the celebration. Tonight, we will honor our ancestors and families who we wish were here with us today."

"And at the eclipse's peak, we will return here for the concert afterwards." Wu said while showing the concert being set up.

"For now, let us venture forth and honor those we've lost, those who have departed." Luna added.

"Well, time to go." Spike said as they all walked down the stairs to their vehicles while Gaia had a feeling inside her.

"Gaia, you okay?" Aqua asked her.

"I'm… I'm fine…" She replied as she looked around. "I just feel like I forgot something…" Celestia was having trouble holding her daughter as she was trying to get out of her hooves and head towards the museum.

"Mandbush!" Her daughter muttered out.

"Hope? What's gotten into you?" Celestia asked her daughter.

"Oh, she's probably just a little cranky because it's past her bedtime." Discord mentioned while booping Hope's nose.

"It could be." Luna said before she looked at her daughter. "But Lunar isn't acting like that."

"Heh, probably my bad with her being half chaos." Discord said with a shrug. "Now come on. The night is still young." He said.

"Sure, dear." Celestia said with a smile as Landrush looked out.

"They don't realize I'm gone." Landrush said before he had a thought as he looked in horror. "Maybe I'm departed." His words echoed as his friends drove off.

The Ninja and Council are in their vehicles while driving through the desert. "See you guys soon." Thunder said to them as they waved to each other.

"Happy Day of the Departed, everypony!" Aqua called next as they all split up in separate directions.

In Canterlot, both Flash and Twilight were wearing their Royal garb as they walked out to a balcony where a bunch of ponies had their lanterns lit up. "Citizens of Equestria and beyond, it gives me great pleasure to declare this Day of the Departed celebration to begin!" Twilight declared as the ponies all cheered loudly.

"Now, everyone release your lanterns and may our ancestors and lost loved ones find them!" Flash called as everypony released their lanterns while their children and Spike came up beside them. Soon every creature and pony begin to release their lanterns out into the night sky. Flash and his family released their lantern, passing by a statue of Hurricane, in his memory while Twilight and her family let their lantern go off for their ancestors.

In the Corridor of Elders, Lloyd and Misako released a Lantern in honor of Sensei Garmadon who sacrificed himself to stop the 2nd Great War. "We honor our ancestors. Because if we never look to the past, we cannot envision the future." Wu's voice spoke up.

Aqua and Trail are at their parents old blacksmith shop as Trail lit up the lantern and they placed it in front of a picture of their parents.

Applejack had returned to her family farm where her brother, sister and sister in law released a lantern in honor for their parents and their grandmother next to the tree their parents grew with their pictures on it. "On the day of the departed, we pause to remember those we've lost."

Rainbow returned to Cloudsdale to release a lantern with her parents in honor of her grandmother.

With Forst, he is in the snowy forest near the Crystal Empire as he, Rust, and his mother, Dr. Gear sat on a bench outside their old tree going through old pictures together. Frost used his powers to make an ice sculpture of his mother, which made her smile as she hugged her son as the falcon flew around.

Gaia returned home to her parents as they released a lantern in honor of her grandfather, a great Explorer and adventurer, who she dearly misses with all her heart.

With Pinkie, she is on her old family rock form while she is cheering excitedly while her family just gave natural expressions, but they gave small smiles at seeing Pinkie happy.

Rarity is with her parents and little sister at her boutique as they all enjoy a nice dinner together while Rarity shows off her designs as they looked in interest.

Fluttershy was at her parents' old home with her brother there as well as the family enjoy a nice meal while Zephyr Breeze tripped and fell as they shared a small laugh.

With Thunder, he is in his parents' junkyard as they look through old photos as they laugh. "And enjoy our time with those we are still fortunate to have."

With Celestia, Luna, and Discord, they and their children are at the old Castle of the Two Sisters as they have an old photo of two ponies as the two sisters smiled while placing some tea down that Discord made.

Sensei Wu had traveled to the old Monastery as he released a lantern in honor for both his brother and his father. He then poured some tea into a cup as he raised it. "I raised this cup of remembrance to you both, father and brother." Wu said with a smile. "We never forget." He said as he looked up to the stars before drinking his tea.

With Landrush, he drove his ride through the desert with a fierce determined expression after finding out he has been departed and forgotten by the others, going to the one place that made him be like it in the first place.

"Landrush. Landrush, where are you?" Steprush asked in concern while holding a lantern, looking for signs of his son. "Landrush, where are you?" He asked before he sighs as his bandmates appeared behind him. "My son was gonna meet me before the show to light a lantern for Lily." He said as he and the Royal Blacksmith then sang.

"Hey Step, you're up next." Flim spoke up as Flam and Dareth came out with sticks.

"Better get your act together." Flam told them.

"Ah, kids. Always letting you down. That's why I don't have them." Dareth said before he rubbed his chin. "Not because Gayle keeps turning down my marriage proposals, even though I'd make an excellent provider." He quickly said as he cleared his throat. "Anyway. It's a good thing your managers are here to help you focus on the important things." He said as he and the Flim Flam brothers gave them their canes.

"What's more important than family?" Steprush questioned them as Flim took his lantern.

"A paying gig for a festival audience." Flim said to him as Flam took the microphone.

"Have a good show, boys." Flam said as he gave Dareth the microphone as he ran on stage.

"Hello, Equestria!" Dareth called out as the crowd cheered. "Hey, look at you! Look at that once-in-a-lifetime lunar eclipse!" He called as he pointed up to the moon where two shadows were forming on both sides. "It's really happening! How about a warm Day of the Departed greeting for the Royal Blacksmiths!" He declared as he moved aside.

Steprush and his band then came out as they moved in sync and started singing and moved in sink while Dareth, Flim, and Flam moved to the music while the crowd cheered. Among the crowd was Ronin.

"Everyone's here, so no one's home." Ronin muttered to himself. "Time for a little scrap-hunting." He said as he snuck off and away from the crowd as the Royal Blacksmith continued singing as the Yin-Yang eclipse continued forming.

Meanwhile, Landrush could have sworn he could hear his father singing but shook his head as he continued on. Soon he reached the spot where Yang's Temple once stood before he looked up and saw it was still in the air. Once he was under the temple, he got out of his vehicle and used Airjitzu to fly up to the temple.

He landed on the ground as he walked up to the temple doors and burst the doors open with a glare as he looked around. "Alright, Yang. Show yourself! You hear me?! Show yourself!" He ordered.

Yang then came from beside the stairs as Landrush turned to him. "You received my message." He said with a grin.

"I got it, alright." Landrush said with a glare. "And I got one for you. It's direct from the business end of your own weapon." He said as he brought out the Yin Blade he took from the museum.

The site of the weapon made Yang gasp in surprise. "The Yin Blade… but how?" He asked Landrush. "I thought it was lost forever. And the last I heard, it was founded and placed in Clear Stone. That case is impenetrable."

"Not to ghost, all things to you!" Landrush told him as he approached Yang. "All thanks to you, I still am and my friends have forgotten me!"

"What are you going to do?" Yang asked nervously.

"There's magic in the air. You know, eclipse and all?" Landrush sarcastically said.

"Please, where is your holiday spirit?" Yang asked as he walked up behind a vase. "It's the Day of the Departed."

"Uh-huh, and I'm settling my debt!" Landrush yelled as he charged at Yang and swung the blade, which extended from the chain and broke a vase, which caused Yang to laugh sinisterly, which made Landrush confused. "What? What's so funny?"

"This. That. All of it." Yang said with a smoke as he gestured to the eclipse as the light then shined down on the broken vase as it started glowing green.

"What's happening?" Landrush asked nervously.

"My plan." Yang said as he closed his eyes and green mist came out of the vase as Yang laughed as Landrush watched the green mist exited the temple and floated off down to ground level.

"What…What was that?!" Landrush questioned Yang in fright.

The green mist then traveled through Equestria City, causing all the lanterns around to glow green before making their way to the museum and into the hall of villainy. Lanterns all over Equestria all started flashing green before the statues of eat villains then started moving when the green mist circled around them.

Each one started to twitch their limbs as the eyes on the Nightmare Moon statue started to blink. The Pony of Shadows started to move its hoof forward as the statue of Morro moved his sword before both statues of the stone general and lieutenant spoke in their language.

Back at Yang's Temple, green mist kept spilling as Yang turned to Landrush with a smirk. "You never should have played with dark magic, colt." He said to the Earth Ninja. "This Day of the Departed will be remembered as my Night of the Return. The Yin Blade, if you please."

"Yeah, I don't think so." Landrush said firmly as he kept the blade away from Yang.

"I do." Yang said as Landrush tried to get away but was surrounded by Yang's students.

"What?" Landrush asked before he was captured by Yang's captured students around him as they tackled him and tied him in vengestone cuffs before taking the Yin Blade from him and giving it to Yang. He laughed with a smirk as he finally had his old weapon again.

Back at the Museum, the statue of the Storm King blinks its eyes before he looks around in confusion. He felt confused as he was just in prison a few moments ago before he lost balance and fell face first onto the floor. "What the?" Storm King questioned as he looked around and saw where he was just standing. "How did I get here? Wasn't I in my cell?"

"Huh?" Samukai spoke up with a surprised look. "Who-? Who are you?" He asked each and every one of them.

"I should ask you the same thing." Storm King said in wonder.

"I would like an explanation as well." Tirek said as he jumped down before he noticed he was young again. "Especially since I look good once again."

"I am Samukai, Skulkin general, fearsome master of the ax." Samukai bragged as he flexed his bony arms.

"Ha! Fearsome?" Kozu questioned tauntly as he swung his sword. "You call that fearsome? This is fearsome!" He called as he sliced a pillar down.

"Me and my general were made by the Overlord, indestructible material that no one can destroy!" The lieutenant declared as Nightmare Moon walked towards them.

"Ha! If that's true, then how come the Ninja and those foolish ponies, along with that small band of misfit creatures, were able to beat your soldiers?" She questioned with an evil smirk

"Isn't that the truth." Sombra said with a smirk. "You two couldn't even stand a chance against their power." He added as the two stone warriors growled.

"But what has brought us back?" Chen asked before he looked down at his throne and smiled excitedly. "Oh! Buttons, buttons, buttons!" He called as he started pressing buttons, which caused a raft to inflate some fortune cookies to spill out, and then brought out robotic legs as he walked around. "Oh. Brake? No. Brake? No!" He cried as he lost control of his throne as he crashed into something as the villains flinched. "I'm alright!" He called before he crashed into something else. "Still alright!" He called.

"Uh, what is going on here?" The Pony of Shadows questioned as he looked around. "One moment I was stuck in a white endless void, the next I'm here!"

"Yeah, and if I remember correctly, the three of you went goody goody after the Overlord was beaten!" Storm King mentioned as he pointed towards Nightmare Moon, Sombra, and Queen Chrysalis.

"What are you babbling on about?!" Chrysalis questioned with a venom in her tone. "The last thing I remember was being absorbed into the Overlord and… and… nothing else after that…" She said as her eyes then widened.

"Wait, same with me." Sombra said in agreement.

"And I as well." Nightmare Moon said to them. "We were betrayed by the Overlord before being possessed by him."

"And last thing I remember, I was getting shattered into icicles by my old first gen brother Frost." Cryptor said with wonder.

"Perhaps it has something to do with these glowing weapons we're holding." Pythor spoke up as he gestured to the glowing green stones at the end of each weapon they were holding. Nightmare Moon then noticed a green glow that was shining down before she looked up and saw the eclipse outside of the skylight window.

"The Day of The Departed?! She questioned in shock. "Could this be what brought us back?!"

"Uh, how could it be possible that it brought us back?" Charm questioned. "I mean, my brother and I lived out longer than anyone, long with Chen, but we never saw it do that before."

"Perhaps he can explain how." Morro said as he gestured to Yang's portrait as they crowded around it as Chen came in.

"Still alright!" Chen called as he went up to them as he got his throne under control as Yang's portrait move.

"Sensei Yang." Grimoire said in awe.

"My magic has brought you back from the Departed Realm to Equestria and pulled all the evil out of your good selves while also placing your soul in these replica bodies, but you can only remain for the duration of the eclipse." Yang explained to them. "Unless…"

"Unless?" Discord(evil) asked in interest.

"Unless you destroy the Ninja and the Council who destroyed you." Yang finished as he gestured to their weapons. "Use your departed blades, and you will take their place among the living and remain free from your binds." Each of the villains looked at their own departed blade as they listened to Sensei Yang. "Each of the Ninja and council members are dispersed across Equestria and you will have your revenge against them!"

The villains all cheered at that news before Phythor turned to Cryptor, Tirek, and Storm King. "It will be like old times, my old friends." He told them before he glared at Chen. "Not from you… Chen."

"Phythor." Chen replied as he looked at his hoof.

"Oh believe me, I'm not too thrilled to be working with him either." Nightmare Moon mentioned before glaring at Charm. "Especially with a whiny little foal like you."

"Grr, you maybe an evil version of Luna, but you still have her annoyance." Charm growled.

"Oh, frosty." The stone lieutenant commented.

"You must each choose a Ninja and Council and-" Yang tried to say.

"I call Frost!" Samukai yelled.

"No! He's my clone!" Cryptor called out.

"Technically you're his clone." Pythor said to Cryptor.

"I shall have my revenge on that Twilight Sparkle then!" Sombra declared.

"Hey, I'm the one who should get revenge on her considering she turned my number one soldier against me and turn me into stone one time!" Storm King argued.

"The blacksmith's brats are mine!" Chen declared.

"How come you get two?" Tirek complained as they all started arguing with each other, which Yang had enough.

"Silence!" Yang yelled, which got the villains to stop arguing. "Time is wasting, and I've got my own thing going on. So work it out!" He yelled before the portrait went back to normal.

"Okay, so… Who gets who?" Storm King asked the others.

"I've got a score to settle with both Trail and Aqua, so they're mine." Chen told them.

"Mind if I join you. I did face them and captured the mare once, so I think a little payback would be great." Samukai said with a smirk.

"Sounds fair." Chen said with a shrug.

"Lloyd." Pythor spoke up. "I destroyed the father. Well, more or less. It's finally time to destroy the son."

"I'll take Frost." Cryptor spoke up.

"Master Wu." Morro spoke up next. "We left things… unfinished. I will settle our debt, once and for all."

"I'll take Fluttershy." Discord(evil) said with a smirk. "She's the one who got rid of my evil side from my body, so I'll return the favor with her."

"I'll take the Element of Loyality." Tirek said while cracking his knuckles.

"I have business with Gaia and Starlight." Chrysalis said with a glare. "I will still have my vengeance."

"I'll take on Luna and Celestia." Sombra spoke up with a smirk. "We have unfinished business."

"I'll take the Generosity one." Nightmare Moon said with a smirk.

"I call the farm mare. She's a real pain." Storm King said.

"I have a score to settle with the Master of Lightning." Grimoire said with a glare. "He left me behind with a sword, now I would like to send him away."

"The Master of Wind is mine." Charm said.

"The Princess of Friendship and her little dragon are mine." The Pony of Shadows said.

"Ugh, that's like all of them taken." The stone lieutenant said to Kozu. "And they're only two of us, general. This might be an issue."

Kozu then looked out the window and saw his target. "That one is mine." He said as he pointed towards Dareth who was out on stage talking to the crowd. "He used the helmet of darkness to control me and our army, I want revenge."

"Yes. And I see he has some partners." the stone lieutenant said as she saw the Flim and Flam brothers. "More than enough for me."

"But I have a feeling we're going to need more than just these departed blades to defeat the ninja and the council." Pythor mentioned.

"He's right. Even just one of them, they won't go down easily." Nightmare Moon said. "Perhaps we could use some help?" She suggested as (evil)Discord pulled out a map to the museum.

"The Hall of Sidekicks." (evil)Discord said as Sombra laughed.

"Convenient, is it not?" Sombra questioned as they all walked towards the Hall of Sidekicks.

Back at Sensei Yang's Temple, Landrush sat in the middle of Yang's students as he looked at each of them. "So, guys… what do you say to helping me out?" He asked them as none of them gave a response. "You know, Ninja to Ninja… Hello? Look, I know Yang is your master, but how can you be loyal to him?! He turned you all into ghosts!" He exclaimed as they stood silence.

"Your pleas are useless." Yang spoke up. "My students, well, they're loyal to no one but me."

"Come on, guys!" Landrush spoke to them. "Yang is like the definition of evil!"

"Actually, Yang means good while Yin means bad." Yang explained. "But I always did inspire greatness. You see, I dedicated my life to the study of martial arts. I mastered them all and even created my own. Airjitzu was my first achievement, but it was nothing compared to what I would discover next."

"And what would that be?" Landrush questioned as Yang looked at his Yin Blade.

"You see, my research revealed the location of this blade, a weapon whose power and magic was so powerful it was said to hold the key to eternal life." Yang told him. "To control more powerful magic, and I'll be forever remembered as Equestria's greatest master! I first tested the blade on a small plant, and it worked. After practicing on more plants, immortality was so near. It was time for my ultimate test… myself." He said before he frowned. "But something went… wrong. As can you see, when I used my blade on myself and the temple, it gave me a different kind of immortality, the ghostly kind…" Landrush thought about it for a moment before he pieced it all together.

"Are you saying that your curse was all an accident?" He asked Yang in surprise.

"Believe me. And as a ghost, I was forever cursed to haunt this once-proud temple as Master of the House. Never able to return." Yang said while clutching his blade. "Until tonight. Thanks to you." He said with a smirk.

"Thanks to me? How?" Landrush asked.

"You said it yourself." Yang said with a smirk as he aimed his blade at Landrush. "There's magic in the air. On the Day of the Departed, when there's a Yin-Yang lunar eclipse, the Yin Blade can cut the Rift of Return." He explained with a smirk. "So thank you for this."

"You're not welcome." Landrush replied with a serious look. "And you won't get away with it. I'm supposed to meet my friends soon. When they see I'm missing, they'll come for me."

"'See you're missing'? Ha!" Yang called out in amusement. "Look at you. You can barely see yourself. And as I recall, you said they forgot about you." He said as Landrush signed before the Yin-Blade glowed. "Besides, you've caused quite a few problems for your friends." He said as he showed Aqua and Trail.

In the blacksmith shop, the two siblings looked at the lantern. "It feels strange being back in our parent's shop after all this time." Aqua said as she and Trail walked out.

"Aqua, do you think we'll ever find out what actually happened to them?" Trail asked her.

"I could tell you." Chen's voice spoke up, which shocked them as they turned and saw him and Samukai.

"But you two have bigger things to worry about." Samukai said with a smirk.

"Chen?! Samukai?!" Aqua called in shock as Trail rushed in and grab two swords and tossing it to his sister.

"I don't know how you two are back, but it's two on two!" Trail yelled as he and Aqua took battle stances.

"Is it?" Chen questioned as some skeletons and Anacondrai Cultists came out as behind them in their vehicles as they walked up towards them. "Goodbye, Ninja!" He called as he pressed a button, but a punching bag started hitting him as he then pressed many buttons, but everyone looked at him strangely. "Who built this thing?!"

"Chen, you're killing the mood." Samukai said with a look.

"Wait, found it!" Chen called as he slammed on a button, which caused some missiles from his throne to come out and more weapons attached to them.

"Now that is good." Samukai said with a smirk.

"Doodle pep, ninja." Chen said as he pressed a button and the missile shot out.

In Canterlot, both families of Twilight and Flash gathered inside as Twilight looked up at the eclipse with a worried look. "Mistress, are you okay?" Wish asked her when she noticed the worried look.

"I'm alright, Wish." Twilight assured her. "It's just, something is off about the eclipse right now." She said. "I've never seen this kind of lunar eclipse all my life."

"Well, it is a rarest of rare eclipse in Equestria." Flash spoke up as he walked up to his wife. "Don't worry, honey. It's probably nothing. Let's just enjoy the night with our family. The kids are having fun." He said as Nyx, Cozy, and the Serpentine Kids are playing with Spike eating some gems.

"He's right, Twilight. It's probably nothing." Spike said with a smile. "After all, nothing bad happens in eclipses." He said while eating another gem before they were then surrounded by a black shadow. "Okay, why are there clouds blocking the moon?"

Twilight looked closely at the clouds as she noticed they were coming right towards them. "Those aren't clouds!" She called out before they all quickly ducked down and the clouds crashed through the window.

The family looked at it before it took the shape of a familiar evil shadow. "Princess Twilight!" He called with a sinister glare.

"The Pony of Shadows?!" Twilight asked in shock.

"Uh, wasn't he supposed to be trapped in limbo?" Spike said nervously.

"Well, how he got out, we're sending him back in!" Flash called as he ready his wind power, but he quickly avoided a magic blast that didn't come from the Pony of Shadows. "What the?!"

"We meet again, Ninja." Charm's voice spoke as she came up behind the Pony of Shadows.

"Charm?!" Both Twilight, Wish, Flash, and Spike yelled out in shock.

"Not you again!" Spike cried out.

"Yes. Again." Charm said with a smirk as she ready her weapon as they got into battle stances while the family hid behind them in fear.

With Frost and Rust, they were spending time together before Dr. Gear's statue crumbled down as the two backed away as Cryptor and his Nindroids appeared. "Oops. Did I hurt your dear old mom, Frost? Or should I say our mother, brothers?" Cryptor taunted Frost while Frost stood in front of Rust.

With Rarity, she and her family were outside before they screamed when they saw Nightmare Moon in front of them. "Hello, dear Rarity. Mind if I join in?" She questioned with a smirk.

Fluttershy and her family were sitting in the living room before (evil)Discord appeared in front of them. "Oh, hello, Discord." Fluttershy said with a smile. "Shouldn't you be with Celestia and your child?"

"Oh, I have more pressing matters to deal with, Element of Kindness." (evil)Discord said with a smirk as he cracked his knuckles while Fluttershy frowned nervously, realizing this isn't the Discord she knows.

At the mansion with Gaia and her parents, they were spinning some quality time in the indoor gardens until she sensed something. "What is it, dear?" Rose asked in concern. "Aren't you having a great time with us?"

"I am, but something doesn't feel right." Gaia told her mother before she felt something coming towards them. "Look out!" She called out as she quickly pulled her parents out of the way when something came crashing through the roof.

"Master of Life, we meet again." Chrysalis said with a smirk.

"Chrysalis?!" Gaia asked in shock. "You're reformed! How can you be…"

"That wasn't me! And once I take care of you, I'm going after Starlight!" Chrysalis called as she lit up her horn and charged at Gaia and her parents.

With Rainbow, she was doing some stunts outside with her parents cheering her on as she just simply rolled her eyes with a smile. "We love you, sweetie!" Windy called out.

"Keep up the great job!" Bow called out.

"Ah, you guys are great supporters." Rainbow said as she flew ahead before a fist smacked her in the face, which caused her to yell.

"Rainbow!" Bow cried out as Windy gasped when Rainbow crashed into a lone cloud.

Rainbow rubbed her head. "What hit me?" She asked before she gasped and looked up at a large shadowy figure. "Tirek!? You're free?!"

"And young and handsome as ever." Tirek said with a smirk while flexing his muscles. "You like that? You like this? Yeah, you like that!"

Rainbow cringed as she stuck her tongue out. "Blech." She said in disgust. "Your ego is worse than ever."

"Says the teapot calling the kettle black." Tirek growled as he smirked and ready his weapon as Rainbow flinched. "So, how about we have a little dance, sha'll we?" He suggested as Rainbow gulp.

With Luna, Celestia, and Discord, they are still at the Castle of the Two sisters before Discord feels himself shake. "That can't be right." He said in concern.

"What is it, Discord?" Luna asked.

"I don't know, but it's like, I sense the pure darkness of magic in Equestria." Discord said while rubbing his chin.

"That shouldn't be right. There hasn't been any darkness for a long time." Celestia said in concern.

"Discord wouldn't be far off from the truth." Sombra's voice said as they turned and saw King Sombra. "Especially since I have unfinished business.

"Sombra? Why are you like that?" Luna asked before her daughter yelped fearfully as she clutched her mother. "It's okay, dear. It's just daddy."

"Oh, I am not the stallion you know, Luna." King Sombra said, which made the three nervous. "I am his evil half you got rid off. And waiting for revenge." He said as his eyes turned green.

"Oh dear." Discord muttered while Celestia and Luna clutched their childs.

With the Apple family, they are together while looking at the picture of their parents and Granny Smith. "I missed Granny Smith. It's just different without her around." Applebloom said sadly as Applejack placed a wing over her sister.

"I missed her too, sis." Applejack said with a smile. "But I'm sure that both her and our parents are proud of who we became."

"Eeyup." Big Mac agreed.

"I agree." Sugar Belle said with a smile. "They would be."

"Blah! Love and family, it makes me sick!" Storm King's voice called out as they turned and saw him and his troops behind him. "I'll be happy to stop it." He said with a smirk.

"Storm King?!" Applejack called as she stood up in front of her family. "How did you get out of Kryptarium Prison?!" She questioned.

"Like you want to know, once I finish you off!" Storm King called as he ready his staff while his troops made monkey sounds while Applejack ready her horn.

With Thunder, he was sitting by his father. "Uh, Script, dear, is that crumb cake ready?" Bolt asked out. "Thunder's starving."

"I'm fine, Dad." Thunder said to him with a smile.

"I know, son, but I love your mother's crumb cake." Bolt said with a smile before they heard Scrip struggling as the door opened to reveal Grimoire holding Script in his magic.

"Hello, Master of Lightning." Grimoire said with a smirk as Script screamed as some Cultists in mechs came in while Thunder and Bolt looked in shock.

With Misako and Lloyd, they were still at the Corridors of Elders while looking at Garmadon's statue. "I know Dad's gone, but sometimes it's like he's still with me." Lloyd said as he looked up at the lantern flying off as they walked off, but they heard rustling sounds as they stopped before they saw Pythor slithering out of the rocks. "Pythor?"

"When we last met, I decided to help you and your father, Garmadon, defeat Chen. Do you remember why?" Pythor asked with a smirk

"You said something about how if anyone was going to take over the world, you'd rather it be you." Lloyd said with a confused look.

"Precisely." Pythor said with a smirk as he brought out his weapon. "Time to finish the job." He declared.

At the ruins of the Monastery, Wu looked at the eclipse in wonder. "An eclipse is always an omen, but is this one a sign of good… or bad?" Wu wondered as Morro snuck up behind him.

"Bad. Very bad." Morro whispered as Wu's eyes widened in realization.

Back at Yang's temple, Landrush saw the whole thing from the mist Yang showed him. "My friends!? What have you done?!" He questioned while glaring at Yang.

"No, Landrush, what have you done?" Yang corrected with a smirk as he laughed.
