A New Start
Chapter: 21
Melody was at the bar, checking inventory. She kept busy to get Dean off her mind. Despite that, it failed. The moments of them being together blinked before her, and times when he didn't perceive it was really her.
'I do love him! I just have to ignore it! Yeah right! I am uncertain on what I'm going to do. I thought I could be strong and forget him, but sadly I can't and it's killing me! I have-Snap out of Melody!' She speculated to herself and went to sweep the floor.
Dean, Sam and Castiel disembark at the hostelry.
"Seems innocent enough," Cas commented.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Sam queried.
"Nothing! Why are we here?" Cas verbalized.
"I'm wondering the same thing too!" Sam added.
"You two inspect around. I'm going to find out why she bailed on me!" Dean ordered, as he headed into the beerhouse.
Cas and Sam followed Dean inside.
"Sorry, we're closed! Come back in a few hours!" Melody asserted, her back turned away from the entrance.
Dean chucked. "If it's closed, then why is the door unlocked?"
Melody slowly wheeled toward the familiar stranger's voice, that she didn't want to see. Her heart was beating out of her chest, and she couldn't help, but stare at him. Melody collected herself and vocalized.
"Hi Dean. If you want a beer. You're gonna have to wait like everyone else. And you don't have to be concern on the round of drinks at my upcoming shift, since you proved me wrong!"
"That's not the reason I'm here! We need to talk!?" Dean spouted, crucially.
"There's nothing to discuss! I-I- used you! And…You should leave!" Melody replied, in almost damp eyes.
"BULLSHIT!" Dean uttered, angry.
"MELODY?!" A voice boomed out.
"IN HERE!" Melody yelled into the other room.
"I was wondering who-" Fancy conveyed, as she came into the area.
Fancy and Willow suddenly stopped in their tracks.
"Look, the bar won't be accessible, until later. So, I suggest you wait til it does."
"I get it!" Dean whispered, exasperated. He was in the midst of reaching the handhold when he heard the following.
"Who was that? Was that-" Fancy seek, except Melody cut her off icily with.
"Just a random customer. Who wants to know when we open!"
'How dare she say that! I have done nothing to this woman! She acted as if I'm one of those bastards! I have had enough!' Dean ruminated.
"What the hell, Melody? You're gonna push someone away who actually gives a damn about you?" Dean responded, vexed.
"Okay?!" Fancy voiced, awkwardly.
Melody leaned against the wall and remained quiet.
"Really, Melody?" Dean put in words.
"Wait. What is going on?" Fancy questioned, as acted as a curious bystander.
"I'll spill on what has happened! Melody and I had a wonderful evening together. No complaints at all, not even one during the enjoyments in bed. Unexpectedly, she bailed on me without any explanation! Currently, she will not tell me what I did wrong?" Dean explained, aggravated.
"I'm sorry, it seems like that Dean. Nonetheless, I told you already. You don't need to be with me. My dark side-"
"Could kill Me!/You!" Melody and Dean cited in unison.
"Yes, I know! Dammit, Melody! Let me decide that, okay?" Dean spoke, annoyed.
"Fine! We will talk! Please! Just not at the moment!" Melody disclosed.
By this time, Cas, Sam and Willow stood in the residence, as they listened to every word spoken. Melody glanced down, when Dean talked. In further action, she peeped up and tried to keep her tears at bay.
"Dean, I do have feelings for you! At any rate, there's some people that could get to you and hurt you. I-I- couldn't forgive myself, if anything befalls to you! So, until this so- called case is settled, it's best if we go our separate ways. I'm sorry Dean! It's the only way for you to be safe!" Melody replied, despondently.
At that point, she peeked at Castiel. Followed by her sudden movement out of the sector and up the stairs.
"Well, I guess you have your answer Dean?!" Sam posited.
"Whatever!" Dean put forth, sarcastic.
"Nevertheless, it was one and she also gave an alternative. So, please leave!" Fancy barked.
"Sorry, to bother you ladies!" Sam relayed, politely.
Castiel waited until the boys were out of ear range and expressed.
"I've identified you three-witch- warriors: Fireic, Windamatic and Mystic. Please talk to her! It's too late to undo this whole thing. What is done is done!"
With that, Cas disappeared.
"What the hell?" Fancy inquired, as she shut the gateway and bolted it.
"I believe Melody is right. One definitely acknowledges the truth!" Willow admitted.
"Let's go check on her?!" Fancy projected and Willow nodded.
The girls proceeded upstairs to where Melody was at. Abruptly, they halted in midair of a knock when they overheard sobbing. Next, Fancy mouthed to Willow these words:
"We will come back later."
Melody was on the bed with tears that had wet her pillow. Her heart, in so many pieces. She couldn't stand it anymore! She had to be resistant! She was needed at this stage, and it meant to focus on the importance! No matter how hard Melody tried, she kept imaging Dean. His smile. His gorgeous green hazel eyes. His bare chest. How he held her that night, it felt so right! -The feeling of being protected. She was so confused! Why was it so banned? It was stupid!
All of sudden, Melody heard footsteps and of them being retreated back down. She just let the tears roll down her cheeks, one by one.
Once, they were back in the car and in the direction of the hotel.
"Cas, is there something you want, or SHOULD share with us?" Dean requested.
"That's up to her. I cannot enclose any details."
"What does that even mean?" Dean probed, befuddled.
"Cas, can't you just reveal a small clue? We are kind of lost here?" Sam inquisitioned.
"I'm sorry, I cannot! It's her decision." Cas retorted, and flapped his wings to indicate he was gone.
"Great! Thanks, Cas!" Dean replied, irritated.
"He seems to be good at that!" Sam blurted and changed the subject. "That creature is still out there. I wonder why it's interested in the warrior's-well Mystic?" Sam pondered out loud.
"Oh hell! Don't say that they are evil too!?" Dean submitted.
"I don't think they are."
"Remember, Cas said he wasn't even sure?!"
"They haven't shown that they were bad, though," Sam proclaimed.
"Yeah, and I don't like how this is going!"
"Like what side are they on?!"
"Yeah, that!" Dean replied.
It had been a couple of days since Dean last saw Melody. Dean had to get some fresh air. All this was getting to him. He couldn't concentrate on the mission, surmising Melody and what her problem was. He couldn't put his finger on it. All he could comprehend that she was hiding something from him.
Surprisingly, Dean ambiguously arrived at Smoke House.
'Since, I'm here might as well,' Dean mentated.
Somehow the entry was ajar which caused Dean to smile. A recent flashback replayed in his head of their first encounter.
"What the hell?" Dean announced, confused at the tavern decorated in all white.
'OH-NO! It can't be, she's getting- We were going to talk?' Dean reflected.
"Dean, right?!" Willow asked, behind him.
"Yeah," Dean riposted.
"I recognized you. Didn't my cousin already inform you?"
"Melody told me, she and I would have a discussion. However, that hasn't transpired! It's urgent since she is getting married to a dickhead!" Dean thundered.
Willow laughed and gapped in between chuckles, "Mel-getting-married!"
"Well?! Who is he?!" Dean demanded, and confused on what the joke was.
"Melody isn't getting married! Her brother, Darien is," Willow addressed.
"Oh!" Dean replied, as he scratched his head. "Where is she?"
"I can't tell you! Like she said, she will talk to you. I've learnt from the past that she follows through. Do give her time to process everything!" Willow advised.
"So, she can gather more bull crap to feed me?!" Dean exhibited, irate.
"Dean, Melody isn't like that! Right now, she is going through a difficult time! She has a lot on her plate, so to speak. So, please! If you care for her, you'll give her this small amount of space!" Willow mentioned, furious.
"Fine! You know where you all can reach me! She has my cell number." Dean stated and whirled out the threshold.
