Ruby Rose. Gun enthusiast, enrolled to Beacon at 15, the youngest Huntress ever and leader of Team RWBY. At least that how it was supposed to be. The formerly red cloaked girl sets her head back at she tries to peer into the sun. No light. No trying to look away. Why did this happen? She looks away out of choice and drops her head down to her lowered hands. Why did everything happen? Jaune's arm getting cut off, Pyrrha dying in front of me, Vale being declared a non-inhabitable area... I wish Yang was here. But she abandoned me. I wish I can go back in time and just- "Ruby?" She hears above her. "How are you feeling?" Weiss is back again. Why is she even here?
Ruby looks up from her palms, not knowing where actually is, "You been asking me this for nine months."
Weiss scoffs softly with a small smile, "I know, but I keep waiting for 'I'm A-OK bestie!'" A flat and awkward silence falls to both of them, Ruby not even attempting to move her mouth whilst the Schnee heiress keeps hers on. The black-haired girl goes to stand up but Weiss stops her, "Ruby, you know you're supposed to-"
"I'm not going to use a cane or have you as my seeing eye person. I know my own house." She stands up again with the white haired girl stepping back. Ruby goes to turn and takes a step and proceeds to step on one of her father's flowers. "... Aarrgh!" She kicks the planted flowers, throwing them out of the ground.
"Ruby!"
"Nothing here is right! Nothing here is ever right! Every day I wake up, every time I sleep, my head never wants to be here! Yang abandoned me here a week after getting us out, Blake disappeared from everyone, Jaune's arm is gone and Penny and Pyrrha... They're gone... And yet you keep coming here as if you're waiting for me to beg for you to help me."
"Ruby. I understand-"
"UNDERSTAND?! You can take your 'understand' by stop coming here and stop acting like you're a big ball of happiness. It's not going to work. Nothing ever worked and you're not helping. You've never helped."
Ruby doesn't hear anything other than the wind and the sounds of heels going far away from her.

The falling Warriors descent is violent as they land and fall on the forest grounds. 004 faceplants onto the surface, "Ugh, dammit." She shakes her head to get rid of anything stuck. "Is everyone alright?" She surveys the squad, giving her multiple thumbs up, kneeling and splayed before setting her eyes on 008, who is the only one standing, "How are you able to stand Eight? My legs hurt."
"I listened." 008 takes out her bladed rifle, "Now get up, we need to meet up with the other sections to clear the nest."
004 sighs, "Yeah I know. Up and up." She feels her muscles aching as she stands, seeing the others also groaning because of their poor landing form. "Alright Tone Section, the sun is to our..." The others look at each other as 004 speech drops. She walks to a body, another Warrior, a 032 is emblazoned onto the left shoulder plate with their neck ripped open. She takes off the dead Warrior's helmet and looking at the dead silver eyes, she locks the helmet onto her magnetic holster. 008 stands behind her, placing her hand on her shoulder. "Eight, headcount?"
"091, 022, 102, 041 and 215 are here."
004 rises up and takes out one of her pistols, "Okay Tone Section, I won't lie. This is a horrible start to our first mission. But we got a nest to destroy. So ready up and keeps your eyes open. We don't have Aura or Semblance but we got instinct, training and more importantly, we know who we are and what we do. This is our duty." 004 and the Warriors proceed to walk into the forest, weapons out.
...
...
A few hours passes as they keep on alert for any Grimm. The section's cohesion and morale is slowly dwindling by the second. 004 and 008 stay in front of the group, with the rest forming a diamond formation. One of the Warriors groans loudly, "Where is that stupid nest? I wanna go back to the facility!"
"I wish I had a answer, One-Oh-Two. Our boost operator got carried off during the jump." 004 says.
"We're sooo going to die. What were they thinking?! I'm not ready for this! I-I need-"
008 turns her head back, tilting her head so her visor appeared angered, "102, calm yourself. We have been given this mission and we will proceed with it." She looks to 004, nudging her with the stock of her rifle, "You think the other sections made it to the nest site?"
004's left brow lifts with a unfamiliar look, "I don't know Eight. We have no way to contact them or MC-oh-One. Without the boost that Two was carrying, we can only use what's around us." She scratches her head, "Sides', we've be left for dead to be eaten by the worms." 004 gives a weak grin.
Her fellow Warrior sighs in acceptance, "You are right. Even if we complete this mission, we do not have any way to contact for extraction." She droops her head, "And we cannot go to-" A sudden tree begins to fall upon them, "INCOMING!"
The Warriors jump out of the way, splitting into two groups of three and four as the tree divides them. They all point their weapons into various directions.
"What in the world did that?!"
"Finally, a chance to shoot something!"
"We're so dead."
"Stay calm, girls." 004, 041 and 008 keep their guns and pike out, scanning their surroundings. And out from their left 004 see a massive Grimm, charging towards them. "On our left!" They all run around the charging beast. The Grimm turns around, showing its massive body and wide face. "Ursa." It roars as 004 finishes the word, standing on its hind legs and making itself bigger. 008 shoots her rifle, hitting the Ursa's left paw. Roaring in pain, it begins its charge but it stops itself a Warrior, atop of the collapsed tree shoots it with her revolver, "Hey Grimm, you're the first thing I get to kill!" She proceeds to fire three more times before the Ursa smashes its claws down at the tree, launching her to the other group.
She manages to roll on her landing in front of the three, proceeding to fire her last two bullets before running behind the three to reload. 004 takes out her other pistol and connects them together, "We've been trained for this, lets not fail the General's plan."
