After a lengthy journey on the bus, Logan finally arrives at the library. He ascends the grand staircase, weaving through the shelves of books until he discovers a hidden nook on the top floor. Little does he know, a mysterious figure has been tailing him since his departure from the bustling Palm Woods, their sinister plans slowly unraveling.
Taking a seat at a secluded table, Logan unwraps his laptop and reaches for his water bottle, fully engrossed in his studies. Unbeknownst to him, danger lurks in the shadows, poised to strike at any moment.
Kendall and Jo were enjoying a relaxing time by the pool at the Palm Woods. Kendall, sporting swimming trunks with video game controls printed on them, and Jo, wearing a one-piece swimsuit adorned with daisies, were lounging on pool chairs.
Jo excitedly shared her recent encounter at a fro-yo shop with her dad. She recounted how a young child threw a loud and nerve-wracking temper tantrum because his mother refused to add more gummy bears to his already overflowing fro-yo.
"Isn't that just terrible?" Jo asked, hoping for Kendall's attention. "Kendall, are you even listening to me?"
Kendall sat up, lifted his shades, and looked at her. "Huh? You were talking to me?"
"Of course, I was talking to you. Who else would I be talking to? We're the only ones out here at the moment, besides James, but he's busy swimming," Jo replied, feeling annoyed that Kendall seemed to be ignoring her. "Why do you have your AirPods in? Are you listening to a hockey game right now?"
"Yeah, I am. Is that a problem?" Kendall responded, not understanding why she was getting upset.
"Yes, it's a problem. You haven't been listening to a word I've been saying, and I don't appreciate that. I thought you wanted to hang out so we could have fun and talk about our recent experiences. Now I realize that your hockey obsession is more important to you than spending time with your girlfriend. I'll leave you alone to enjoy your hockey game," Jo said, feeling hurt as she got up and went inside.
"I would fix that if I were you, dude," James chimed in before jumping back into the pool.
Kendall is overwhelmed with guilt and decides to turn off the hockey game to follow Jo. He discovers her sulking on a bench in Palm Woods Park and sits down beside her, maintaining a respectful distance due to her anger. In an attempt to make amends, he slides a smoothie towards her. Jo looks at the smoothie and then at Kendall, but remains silent. Kendall assumes that she is still upset and sighs, believing that she needs more time to calm down before forgiving him. He stands up, but suddenly Jo embraces him, causing him to smile and realize that he has been forgiven.
"I deeply apologize," Kendall expresses. "I never intended to anger you or make you feel ignored."
"I understand that, but I still appreciate the effort you made to help me forgive," Jo responds.
"You are certainly easier to apologize to than Katie," Kendall remarks.
"What do you mean by that?" Jo inquires.
"Earning forgiveness from her is as challenging as playing the game Battle Blast: Rise of Croche, where the objective is to defeat the final boss while overcoming various obstacles to anticipate the enemy," Kendall explains.
Jo steps back, raising an eyebrow in confusion. "What?"
Kendall sighs and shrugs. "I'm not sure if I explained that correctly. I was trying to use a metaphor like Logan does. Sometimes when he explains something, he uses math analogies. It can be quite awkward when James, Carlos, and I don't understand what he's talking about."
"Oh, I see. Well, I'm sure as Katie grows older, she will become more reasonable when it comes to forgiveness," Jo reassures.
"Thinking about her transitioning into her teenage years is quite terrifying," Kendall admits, already contemplating his younger sister's upcoming journey into adolescence.
In the heart of Los Angeles, at the community center downtown, Camille and Carlos find themselves in the kitchen, diligently working on their solar eclipse inspired treats.
"Logan informed me that a solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes in front of the sun momentarily, and that's exactly what our cookies will depict. We'll combine them together, with a moon-shaped cookie placed in front of a sun-shaped one. The end result will be truly remarkable and awe-inspiring!" Carlos enthusiastically explains.
"Excellent. So, where do we begin?" Camille inquires.
"We'll need the essential ingredients for baking cookies: flour, eggs, sugar, butter, milk, and salt. Additionally, we'll require cookie cutters, sprinkles, and icing," Carlos lists. "First, let's put on our aprons and chef hats. We must look the part, just like when you wear costumes on the set of Witches of Rowdale Drive."
"Alright, I'll gather all the necessary items. Meanwhile, could you please preheat the oven to the correct temperature and set up the mixer?" Camille suggests.
"Sounds like a solid plan," Carlos agrees, expressing his approval with a high-five.
Katie and Tyler are situated in a room filled with an abundance of art supplies, two rooms away from the kitchen.
"This room provides the perfect environment for us to express our artistic freedom and will serve as motivation to complete our painting for the solar eclipse tomorrow," Katie remarks. "And if we need them, Carlos and Camille are conveniently just two rooms away."
"That's good to know because we don't really know anyone else here," Tyler responds. "My mom wants me to make more friends, but honestly, I'm content with just you and the guys. You're the only kids from the Palm Woods who have been kind to me."
"If there's one thing I've learned from watching countless hours of SpongeBob and My Little Pony, it's that friendship is a truly special and powerful thing in life, and we should cherish it," Katie states.
"That makes sense to me," Tyler agrees.
Meanwhile, at the library, Logan is enjoying the food he packed for himself. His lunchbox contains a neatly arranged peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a banana, a strawberry and banana smoothie, a small pack of fruit smackers, and a special treat from Katie - a chocolate bar.
While savoring his meal, Logan hears faint shuffling noises coming from the bookcases behind him. He turns his head towards the sound but doesn't see anything, so he dismisses it and refocuses on his food.
