The ninja had been kidnapped. So had Wu.

When she returned to the monastery, the doors had been broken down, sections of the walls had been blown up and all the rooms had been ransacked. Except for her room. In fact, her room was neater than when she left it! Her bed had been made neatly, her swords had been stashed in their holders and her clothes had been folded neatly back into their drawers.

'Peculiar...' she thought.

She was looking around, both admiring and dreading the person who had done this when she found the note. It was on top of her dresser, in an envelope that had her name written neatly upon it. She picked it up carefully and opened it to read the piece of paper inside:

'Dear Pixal,

By now, you have probably figured out that your friends have mysteriously gone missing.Well, I am responsible for their disappearance. Who am I exactly? I'm afraid I can't tell you that. All you need to know about me is that I'm the one who took the ninja and I am holding them in a large castle you will find in Hiroshi's Labyrinth. Oh! And if you're curious to know how someone was able to capture a group as experienced as the ninja, let's just say I've been around Wu long enough to know all his weaknesses. That's it for now, Pixal. Catch me if you can.

– Anonymous.'

She had instantly gone back to tell her father and Acronix what had happened and almost instantly, her father had suspected Acronix of planting the note. Acronix pouted his lip and said in a childish way: "You're mean!"

Pixal rolled her eyes. "Perhaps he did, father. When I first saw the note, I found it slightly suspicious that it appeared at the same time Acronix did. I even suspected him myself!" She admitted, whispering to her father.

He clasped his hands together. "Which is why," He said. "We should get rid of him?"

"No!" Pixal shouted. "We have no evidence that he did it. Besides, I have a different theory too."

Borg seemed interested; "What theory?"

She glanced at the other side of the room, making sure Acronix wasn't listening, before she said: "I think Acronix might know something, or at least knew something, and whoever sent that note is trying to keep him quiet."

Borg cocked an eyebrow. "But that letter was targeted at you! Not Acronix." He stated.

"I know. And I've been thinking about that. The person who planted that note is obviously trying to draw us into the ninja's location. Why else would they tell us where they are? But I think the reason that note showed up at the same time as Acronix is because they know we've found him. They know we're going to try and get his memories back because they've been watching us. But just in case we're not, they're luring us into Hiroshi's Labyrinth by using the ninja as bait. All because they want to get rid of Acronix. I think the same person who sent that note, got rid of his memories. And by the looks of things, they did it whilst he was still in the Timestream."

"If that's true..." Borg pondered. "Then the only person who could possibly accomplish doing that is–"

"Yes, I know. His brother, Krux."

"But why would Krux want to ensure his twin brother, someone he's probably loved his whole life, would lose his memories?"

"That's the part I haven't figured out yet." She smirked. "But we're going to find out!" She announced. "C'mon. Pack your things. We're going to Hiroshi's Labyrinth!"

There was a castle within the overgrowth of Hiroshi's Labyrinth. It had been knocked down over 100 years ago, but someone had built it back up and was using it as their own.

Amethyst and Ruby were two servants. Two incredibly stupid servants.

Amethyst wore a red jumpsuit, with a turtle neck, decorated with purple and black lines and patterns. A black belt was wrapped around her waist. It was supposed to hold weapons, preferably swords or knives, but hers was empty. She wore black boots with the same purple lines running down them and matching black, fingerless gloves, but the main part of her outfit was the purple gem that sat in the middle of her chest. It was obviously an amethyst, put there to resemble her name. Or did it have a more important purpose?

Ruby had a similar outfit. In fact, it'd be exactly the same if the colours weren't different. Where Amethyst wore red, Ruby wore purple and where Amethyst wore purple, Ruby wore red. The only other difference was the gem that sat on Ruby's chest was a ruby, rather than an amethyst.

Something obvious about Ruby and Amethyst was that they were twins. They were probably identical but it was hard to tell from the different colours they had each dyed their hair.

They both had short hair, but Amethyst's was purple and Ruby's was red, both with a streak of black, probably their natural hair colour, down the side. Gosh, these two really liked colour schemes!

They were stood either side of a throne in the middle of this castle, waiting for someone.

"Hey, Rube," Amethyst whispered. "Do you think the boss would notice if we took a small trip out for some lunch?"

Ruby thought about this. "No." She said. "I don't think she would." They both smiled.

"Where should we go?" Amethyst asked. Ruby shrugged; "What take outs do they have in the forest?"

"I once heard that someone built a Buddy's Pizza in a forest somewhere."

"No way!"

Amethyst nodded, as if the story was highly believable.

"Woah." Ruby said, in disbelief. "We should call them. Do you know this address?"

Amethyst shook her head. "I'm sure if we tell them we're in a big castle in Hiroshi's Labyrinth, they'll know where to find us."

Suddenly, they heard a door slamming shut, hard. They shrieked.

"If you idiots tell anyone where we are, I assure you, the boss will have your heads mounted on her wall!"

The man behind the voice stepped forward, his short, grey hair brushed back perfectly, his black and purple suit clean as a whistle, his red cape flowing behind him. A sly smile crossed his face, scrunching up his moustache.

"Of course..." He spoke. "No one would miss you..."

Amethyst gulped. "K-krux!" She nervously stuttered. "So-so great t-to see you!" Ruby nodded in approval, too intimidated to say anything at all.

Krux rolled his eyes. "Buddy's pizza!" He scoffed. "Of course you too imbeciles would fall for something like that! You're more stupid than Blunk and Raggmunck! And here I thought that wasn't possible..."

"Stop teasing them, Krux..."

It was Krux's turn to be intimidated. He slowly turned to see a girl with long black hair walking towards him. "They try their best..."

"B-boss!" Krux stammered. "I was just–" She held her hand out to silence him.

For a boss, her clothes were not that fancy. She wore a tattered pink shirt with holes in the middle and brown trousers that were far too big. However, she waved her hands and suddenly, her clothes changed. She was now wearing a similar jumpsuit and boots to Ruby and Amethyst except it was black with both purple and red lines wrapping around it. The belt she wore was also a different colour: red instead of black, and unlike her servants, she had weapons stored within: one sword and one knife. She also wore a cape, similar to the one royalty wears; it was purple with black fur at the bottom.

She walked past Krux and over towards her servants. "They may be stupid..." She said. "But not totally useless."

"Th-thank you, ma'am!" Ruby bowed nervously. Amethyst, however, was silent. She was too busy staring anxiously into the eyes of her boss. They faded from red, to purple, to...pink.

Her boss sat down in the throne. "They're going to help me take over Ninjago. Aren't you, girls?" She asked. Amethyst and Ruby nodded.

"Good." She said. "Together, with our army, we will bring the day people shout: 'All hail Queen Lyra!'"

Lloyd had instantly made his way to Borg Tower. He needed answers and there was only one person who could give them to him.

As he stood in the elevator taking him up to the 100th floor, his feeling returned. He tried to ignore it, but he couldn't help but think they were being misled. Lyra definitely wasn't a normal girl. She wasn't just some unfortunate bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time. There was something different about her.

The elevator door pinged open, and he was greeted by the kind smile of Cyrus Borg.

"Lloyd Garmadon!" He said cheerfully. "What do I owe the pleasure?" He wheeled away, towards his computer and Lloyd followed him.

"I'm actually not here for you, sir." He announced.

"He's here for me."

The voice had come from behind a large machine Borg was in the middle of building. The person behind the voice stepped forward reluctantly. His long black hair was a mess and he had splatters of oil on his face, as if he had been hard at work helping Borg with whatever machine he was building.

Lloyd stepped towards him; "Hi, Acronix."

Acronix examined the green ninja and smirked. "Long story short..." He said. "You told Zane. Zane told Pixal. Pixal told me."

Lloyd nodded, but Borg looked between them in confusion and asked: "Told you what?"

"About Lyra." Acronix replied. "They found a girl in the dessert, called Lyra, who was severely injured. They want me to give them information but about what is a mystery to me." He cocked an eyebrow at Lloyd as if telling him 'so go on, explain'.

Lloyd looked back at him sternly. "Lyra told us who attacked her. It was Krux."

Acronix's face dropped. Without saying a word, he turned and sat in the chair next to where Borg had positioned himself. He ran a hand through his hair as Borg reached out and stroked his back.

Something Lloyd had noticed about the two of them is that they had excellent affection for each other, which wasn't a surprise considering they had been dating for a while now.

He was quite surprised when Borg told him he was dating Acronix. He'd never expected Borg to be the kind of person to date a former enemy. But still, he was happy for them. They obviously loved each other very much.

The only thing that made Lloyd sour about their relationship was the jealousy. He had never found someone to hold his hand like that. Never had a partner of any sort. He'd had crushes, sure, but only twice and in both cases, it wouldn't have worked out.

He pulled himself from his thoughts and looked back down at Acronix. "Do you know where Krux was last seen?" He asked him.

Acronix hesitated, as if wondering wether or not he had met up with his villain of a brother in the last few days.

Eventually, he shook his head. "I haven't seen Krux since...well..." He went silent again and reached out to grasp Borg's hand in reassurement. Borg took it, gladly.

Lloyd smiled. "Right. I can see you don't wanna talk about him. Sorry for bothering you." He turned to walk out the door and as he did, saw Borg mouth the words 'thank you', obviously pleased that Lloyd wasn't bombarding his boyfriend with anymore questions.

Lloyd stepped into the elevator and took one last look at Acronix's sad, pale face before the doors closed.

He didn't know what Krux was up to, but it sure as hell did not look good.
