Cornflower instantly suggested they start re-analyzing the evidence they already had and see if it leads to any more evidence later on. After all, parts of Midnight's plan were still missing, the shack needed a more in depth search, and they had Ruby, who had two months worth of evidence and information.

They also had Midnight's apartment, which hadn't been fully covered by that point, and it was still marked a crime scene. Midnight's belongings had to be moved out and they had to find the last few papers that had his plan on it.

Needless to say, they had a few weeks worth of work they could do.

However, Ruby pointed something out.

"Purple grows weaker by the hours, and sicker by the day, so you should start as soon as you can if you want Purple to be alive when you find him." She said.

Cornflower looked thoughtful. "We'll start first thing tomorrow morning. I'll have cops start moving Midnight's belongings out of his apartment, and another group can start clearing out the old shack. Me, King, and Yellow will re-analyze what we have of Midnight's plan."

"And the others?"

"They'll stay here with Ruby and get as much information as we can. If we're lucky, it won't be more than two weeks before we get the rest of the kids out and start filling out charges against Midnight." Cornflower continued.

"Right."

The next morning, King noticed how much the kid's energy had improved from the previous day.

They had gone from kids who had the feeling they'd never see Purple again, to having hope that they might have a chance at finding him.

As much as King hoped Purple would get out alive, Ruby had said he was getting worse by the day.

The chances he'd survive two or even three more weeks in that basement were becoming very slim.

However, he was willing to try and get his kid back.

Midnight couldn't hurt him forever.

If he ever finds Midnight, so help him Alan he will beat him senseless.

He shook off the thought.

He was going to find Purple, no matter how many lengths he would have to go through to do so.

He would find his kid.

King dropped the Color Gang minus Yellow off at the hospital just before eight that morning. Cornflower would meet them at the station later.

"Get as much as you can so we can use it as evidence against Midnight." Yellow said.

"If Midnight makes it to a trial," Green muttered. "Knowing Cornflower, he'll shoot Midnight dead for kidnapping his daughter."

"Sounds more like King." Red countered.

"Whatever. Just get as much as you can, and we'll pick you up after we analyze Midnight's plan. Got it?"

"Got it!"

King drove a few more blocks to the station, where Cornflower was, holding the plan in his hands.

"I found something."

"Midnight most likely didn't intend to originally kidnap Lilac and her friends. He just became really good friends with them."

"Then why did he decide to keep them prisoner with Purple?" Yellow asked, staring down another piece of paper.

"Not sure. But what I do know is that before you guys got here, Ruby was assessed for rape. I'm sure the other four will be as well."

"Dear God, that's horrible." Yellow muttered.

"It is."

"Cornflower, look at this," King pointed to a specific part of the plan.

Yellow realized what it was. "It's a map!" He exclaimed.

"Bingo. And it looks like he must've had an escape to the other shack planned."

"You think he might've planned for us to find the original shack?" Cornflower asked.

"He might've had it in case we did, since he obviously wasn't expecting his team to turn on him so fast, and for us to be led straight to him because of that."

"So he had a backup plan, and just didn't expect to use it?" Yellow asked.

"Probably."

"Huh."

King's eyes widened a little. "What if we can use the map?"

"How?"

King looked at the map a little closer. "This is Blockwoodow Boulevard! The road Ruby says the new hideout is on! If we can get her to confirm it…"

"Then Ruby can lead us straight to the shack!" Cornflower said.

"Bingo!"

"So we just need to connect the map with Ruby's information, and we find Purple?" Yellow asked.

"Pretty much!"

Yellow admired King's sense of hopefulness.

Maybe they'd be able to find Purple after all.

Speaking of Purple, he was growing sicker and weaker as the minutes passed.

Lilac was already worried about his condition, and seeing the poor kid curled up in the corner, his condition growing worse the longer Ruby was gone, it just made her even more worried.

They were all stuck in a tiny cellar, they're conditions growing worse, and it sucked.

"We have to find another way out." Sage finally said the day after Ruby escaped.

"Ruby's in the hospital. Her wounds couldn't have done much to get her anywhere farther than the store we steal from." Saffron said.

"Fuck…but Purple needs help! Bad! He can't be here forever!"

"Why is Purple your main concern rather than our own lives?!" Sage growled.

"Sage, do you not see his condition? He's been raped, tortured, and abused for weeks on end! All of that is taking its toll on him, and it shows!"

"I hope Ruby found some help…" Lilac said to herself as she stared out the broken window.

Something in her gut told her she had found help.

She hoped her gut was right.

"So…Purple's handwriting was indeed telling us where the new base is?" Second asked.

"Yep."

"And Midnight knew this was going to happen?"

"Yep, just not at this point."

"What can we do?"

"Well, for one thing, I'll have to get out of here. And Purple's getting sicker by the day…the rape and torture and everything is taking a major toll on him. He needs a hospital, bad."

Their hearts dropped.

"You guys need to hurry if your going to rescue Purple."

"WE FIGURED SOMETHING OUT!"

Yellow ran into the room, waving around a piece of paper.

"We found Midnight's place!" Yellow exclaimed.

"That's a map." Blue deadpanned.

"Not just any map, Bluey. This is the exact map Midnight used to get to the new shack. We have its exact location now."

"You fucking genius." Green mumbled.

"We have no choice but to wait for Ruby to recover. She knows the place better than we do." Cornflower said.

"But..Purple…"

"Purple has enough medical supplies to get through a couple of weeks, and I'm outta here as soon as I have enough blood, not more than a week."

"Besides, we need more evidence. The shack is getting cleared out, and then we can go in it. In the meantime, me and King are going to find more in his apartment that can help us. Got it?"

"Got it."
