Basically a Purple POV without the POV XD
Also me planning way ahead which never ends well bc I already know how things are going to go post-rescue
Enjoy!
Lilac fears for her life the rest of the night after Ruby locks them in the cellar.
As soon as she hears the lock click into place, she knows Ruby has the key and is running for her life, and she crawls to Purple, who has fallen unconscious.
"Saffron, get me some bandages." She says quietly.
Saffron does as ordered while she looks for a rag to clean the blood. She swears Purple's color is lighter than it was two months ago.
He's going pale.
"Shit, shit, shit." She mutters, looking for other wounds on the kids body. Thankfully, she doesn't find any, but his body temperature is what worries her.
He's pale and hot.
"Come on, Purple, wake up."
"Here's the bandages, Lilac." Saffron handed her a roll of white bandages.
"Thanks." She quickly started wiping away the blood and starts wrapping him up.
She hears Midnight banging on the door, and silently prays for Ruby to have that fucking key.
And give it to Cornflower.
The next morning, Purple's color seemed to be better, but they couldn't tell.
What Lilac was really waiting on was for the bruises to start healing.
It seemed like they were getting worse, which worried her more than it probably needed to.
However, with Midnight currently locked out of the cellar, unable to hurt Purple, the bruises would start healing and hopefully, Purple would get better.
Hopefully.
Ruby's still not back three days later.
Lilac is starting to get really worried in that Lilac way of hers, and she hates it.
Purple's color is improving bit by bit, but he's still weak, asleep for a third of the day, and unable to move his legs without being in pain.
However, Ruby notices that the pain is becoming less of a problem for him. The bruises must be healing.
Or just numbing the pain.
Sage and Saffron are urging her to escape out the tiny window and find help, but she is constantly refusing.
She's the only one keeping Purple sane right now.
Saffron listens for Midnight. He seems to have backed down, knowing Ruby has the key.
"Or he's trying to find other ways to get in here," Sage had said. "You know Midnight."
"True."
They did know Midnight. He didn't stop even if a seemingly blocking challenge got in his way.
Some day, he was going to get in, and that was when Purple was going to die.
Purple is slowly getting better as the week progresses. Lilac begins to think it's not being sick, unlike what Ruby thinks, but it's the massive pain from Midnight that's causing his body to weaken and react the way it would when you're sick.
His body temperature is going down, and without a thermometer, she can tell it's going back to normal.
The bruises are healing, and blending in with his darkening skin tone.
His skin tone.
It's darkening, and Lilac couldn't be more relieved to know that.
Sage and Saffron quickly notice this. They're happy Purple's getting better, but they know it's not forever.
"Midnight will get in here, Lilac. You know this."
"As soon as Purple is 100% better, and Ruby is in fact in the hospital, we'll get out of here. Besides, he still needs a hospital anyway. The slits, and we all need rape assessments, like Ruby probably got, thanks to Saffron's plan."
"We've gotta get out of here soon. Not just for Purple's sake, but God knows how much longer his friends and dad can last." Sage muttered.
"Knowing Ruby's okay should give them peace of mind for now." Purple said quietly. He hadn't spoken much, but Lilac wasn't worried about that.
Midnight starts banging on the door two weeks after Ruby escapes.
The first hit on the door startles all of them and almost sends Purple into a panic attack. Sage and Saffron grab shards of glass and get ready to attack.
Midnight could have a gun on him, and that chance was not one they were willing to take.
"I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE, YOU LITTLE TWERPS!" Midnight yelled from behind the door.
Sage growled while Lilac tried her best to keep Purple from having a meltdown.
Saffron finally had enough. "Go. To. HELL!" He slashed at Midnight through one of the slim cuts in the door.
Obviously, that didn't end well.
"The window! Get Purple out through the window!" Sage screamed. In an instant, Purple and Lilac were on their feet.
Lilac was surprised Purple was able to move so swiftly. The bruises were fewer now. Thank goodness.
She threw out the last bits of the window and helped Purple climb out first, helped herself out, and ran for her life.
She'd escaped.
She'd actually done it.
They ran until they reached the road. Loud crunching of the leaves behind them gave her a feeling that the boys followed.
She ran until she got sight of the police that were around the area.
"HEY! HEY, OVER HERE! I FOUND PURPLE! WE'RE OVER HERE!"
Gunshots suddenly filled their ears.
The cops' attention was caught when Lilac did the only thing that seemed logically necessary at this point.
She screamed.
Sage and Saffron caught up to them, and soon enough, bullets flew at the trees like lightning.
Sage's mind felt light. Gunshots filled his ears, but he couldn't hear them. Lilac's screams were the same.
Saffron covered Purple as they tried dodging as many as they could. He tackled Lilac down and did the same.
He felt Midnight, or someone, grab his shoulder.
"I've got you now. And none of you are getting away like Ruby did." A dark voice whispers to him and the others.
Lilac is sobbing, Saffron is kicking furiously at who he now knew was Midnight, and from what he could see, Purple had completely frozen and shut down.
More rape.
More abuse.
More torture.
They were about to see hell, for all he knew.
This hell was going to be worse than the other times.
Ruby was the lucky one to get away, and he hated it.
Purple was fine now, but he wasn't going to be fine after this.
Hell, for all he knew, Purple wasn't going to make it out of this.
By the end of this, there probably would be no Purple.
Purple was going to die down there.
He heard the police yelling, and suddenly, a familiar voice fills their ears.
"PURPLE!"
The end of this chapter will be revisited in a few chapters, don't worry.
This is what the group gets up to pre-rescue.
Yeah, Purple is not having very much fun.
Anyways, keep running up those hills, dreamchasers! And stay tuned!
