It was later the next night but after Casey had fallen asleep in her crib, Rocket was in the tech-lab making a play-den for his little one where she could play safely especially in here knowing she would love it, as some of the other Avengers had given the female kit toys including Rocket's soulmate, Lylla whose family owned a toy company on their homeworld, Halfworld which he appreciated knowing the Groot plush was Casey's favourite, she was sleeping with it right now in her crib which made Rocket smile, finishing the project by sunrise going to the kitchen making himself coffee seeing nobody was up het, making Casey a bottle going to her room seeing her awake and in a good mood.
"Good morning sweetie, somebody had a good sleep, here you go, drink up." he told her as she was on his armoured lap drinking up making Rocket smirk after belching and burping her, scooping her up gently leaving the room along with Casey holding onto her Groot plush tightly, curious as Rocket put her in the new play-den he had made for her seeing her excitedly playing with toys relieving Rocket, seeing they had mission drills along with the usual meeting, so Groot was watching Casey makijg her happy, making happy noises.
That made Rocket ponder something, if Casey would be able to talk if she didn't have cybernetics like him, Ranger and Riley pushing those thoughts aside, he had to focus suiting up into armour smirkijg despite feeling tired from being a dad along with staying up to make that play den for Casey.
"You okay Captain Rabbit" Thor asked.
"I'm cool, a little tired though." he replied.
The otherswondered what those two were talking about, unaware Thorhad noticed that his furry best friend was exhausted only he was trying not tomshow it, which Groot knew was a bad idea as he couldn't function much longer without sleep plus he had Casey under control, knowing his friend needed a break.
He then saw Rocket zoning out, scooping him up gently in his vines taking him to his room putting him on the bed tucking him in gently, then leaving him be seeing Casey quiet guessing she wanted her dad stroking behind her furry little ear like what Rocket did seeing her relax knowing Rocket had put fresh underwear on her, or tail armour as he called it so she did not need changed.
"I am Groot." he said softly to her.
This was relaxing the female kit lying on her furry side falling asleep just as a message for Rocket arrived via e-mail deciding to wait until he woke up just in case it was something urgent putting on headphones listening to the Zune for a bit, as things were quiet right now, which was good.
"Oh no, I fell asleep is everything alright, is Casey okay" Rocket yelled, after waking up with a jolt realising he was in his room without realising that he'd zoned out from lack of sleep leaving hearing giggles which relievedhim, Groot had been watching Casey while he had been taking an nap seeing his girl had been having fun.
"Oh that's a reief, I thought something had happened to you." he said scooping her up into a hug making her giggle not understanding what was happening, being so little just enjoying her dad snuggling her which Thor was watching, finding it very cute.
"It's okay as dada was just worried over nothing as usual." Rocket said playing with her, recording these moments for when Casey was older which Thor thought a good idea and was relaxing him.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." Groot said.
"An e-mail for me from Half-world.." Rocket said.
He realised it was from his older brother and sister Ranger and Riley who were coming to Terra so had asked if they could stay with him, replying noticing Casey watching with curiousity seeing her dad relieved after sending his reply not getting why he looked tense.
