Casey giggled as she was playing with Carmilla her new sapling that was Groot's kin in the play den which Groot thought a good idea plus it was like him and Rocket when Rocket had been Casey's age and would teach his kit to speak Groot's tongue knowing both little ones were bonding, knowing it would be a strong one like theirs seeing the tree with shiny things, sneaking out and crawled over to the tree beginning to climb giggling, despite knocking baubles off seeing Rocket run in surprised that Casey was in the tree,p making his daddy instincts wild, in case she got hurt.
"Casey Tessula Raccoon, get down before you get hurt," he said.
He then climbed up getting her, then climbed down out of the Christmas tree checking her for injuries relieved she was alright, putting her in the play den seeing Carmilla hug her which made her feel better, wondering why her dad was scared she had did that.
"I am Groot." Carmilla replied shrugging.
She was feeling sleepy after having chocolate-milk and climbing rubbing her eyes with her paw a sign she was sleepy making Rocket understand picking her up gently from the play den going to his room making Carmilla sigh, knowing Casey had to nap or she would not be much fun playing with toys until her pal came back which Groot understood so was playing with her, he knew what she and Casey had was special.
"Where's Rocket." Riley asked.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." Groot replied.
The raccoon female was annoyed because she didn't understand her brother's treelike friends's speech seeing Rocket join them saying he had put Casey down for an nap relieving Riley asking him why Groot was his friend hearing him explain including being best man at Groot and Carmilla's wedding.
He was imagining Carmilla and Casey's future together growing up, getting old and crossing the rainbow bridge to Valhalla and becoming Valkyries, choking-up at that hearing Groot asking if he was alright.
"Yeah, imagining the future for our girls that's all." Rocket replied.
After her nap, Casey was cuddlijg with her dad and watching funny shows on TV, making Rocket smile at this, he loved spending time with her seeing Carmilla on Casey's furry shoulder wanting snuggles too which Rocket was okay with, since when her dad was a sapling, he did this too which was comforting him, he missed Groot like this as a teeny-tiny twig
"You have to look out for Casey, as she gets crazy ideas like climbing the Christmas tree because she could have gotten hurt, if I hadn't walked in here, you guys are gonna have a special relationship growing up." he told Carmilla.
"I am Groot." the female sapling replied making him grin.
"Atta girl, the holidays are going to be fun." he replied seeing Casey calm.
"Holy crutack, she's crawling, yes that's my girl, dada's so proud of you, maybe you'll be able to walk and talk without cybernetics after all." Rocket told Casey excitedly.
It was afew days later after the tree climb so Rocket had been playing with her in the tech-lab when she'd started crawling making Rocket happy, knowing he was doing something right scratching behind his ear noticing Casey was copying which he thought cute knowing he was becoming an awesome dad to her, which the others noticed seeing Carmilla run in, hugging Casey's furry leg after she sat up.
"Be careful, this isn't a playground alright." Rocket warned.
