[Ch6: Shadow Hoopa and the Silver Legend]
Ash was confused, not understanding what Baraz meant and asked, "Fury?"
"This is the true form of the power that was trying to control Hoopa." Baraz explained, "It had the psychic energy of Hoopa's anger when Great-Grandfather sealed Hoopa's power in the bottle. All that time it had become even more furious for being imprisoned for a century which had given it a will of its own."
Meray couldn't believe what her brother was saying and asked, "Does that mean this fury was trying to take over the real Hoopa? Even though it had been Hoopa's power itself?!"
Baraz kept looking at the Hoopa before them with a hardened look, answered, "This Anger is trying to become the real Hoopa, seeing it as a false imitation of what they once were. Hoopa, yet not Hoopa. The Shadow of Hoopa."
The Shadow then roared before turning to Team Rocket, which made them scream as two of the Shadow's arms formed, making a Ring portal before sending them through it.
They watched surprised as Ash shouted, "Team Rocket!"
He and his friends backed up while the siblings of Arche Valley watched what Shadow Hoopa was going to do now. The arms returned to its body, and it gave a shout. Baraz then raised his hand asking, with a hostile edge in his voice, "Are you going to go wild again?! Like you did a hundred years ago?!"
Shadow Hoopa ignored the adult human's question as it glared straight at Hoopa in the human boy's arms. Seeing it quivering in Ash's arm made the Shadow angrier and shouted, "Disappear!"
Hoopa glared back and shouted, "NO! Hoopa won't disappear!"
Ash nodded and agreed, "That's right!"
Shadow Hoopa glared forming a move in-between its hands, Dark Pulse. Baraz was quick to act as he called out his Braviary from his ball and ordered, "Use Air Slash!"
Braviary did as ordered and his attack collided with Shadow Hoopa's Dark Pulse, only for it to be swiftly defeated. Hoopa yelled in victory at its defeated opponent. Our heroes watched worried at this, but Hoopa got an idea as it then called, "Alléhooparing!"
From the Ring came a spiral of water, almost like a Whirlpool, a whirlpool that began to stir Ash's memories. Everyone watched as something was swimming within the whirlpool of water as the water burst opened to reveal the Silver and blue Legendary Pokémon of Johto, Lugia. Everyone stared in shock or surprise at what Hoopa summoned. It gave a song-like cry as it did this.
"Lugia!" Ash cried out, recognizing the Pokémon. At first, Ash was not certain if this was the Lugia that he had met while in the Orange Archipelago a year ago or the one from Johto. But the song-like cry it gave assured Ash this was the one he met at Shamouti Island in the Orange Archipelago last year. Hearing it's name, Lugia stared, recognizing the boy and his Pikachu before they heard a voice in their minds, "Ash? Is that you?"
The kids looked surprised to hear that this legendary Pokémon knew their friend. Hoopa floated down as its ring returned to it as it explained, "Hoopa called something strong to help! But Hoopa not know Ashkan and Pikan knew it too."
Ash and Pikachu smiled before the kid cried out, "Lugia, please help us!"
Not needing any more convincing, Lugia went and fought against Shadow Hoopa. Firing its signature Move, Aeroblast. It hit the mark, forcing Shadow Hoopa away.
Baraz seeing the opportunity recalled Braviary back into his ball and told the others, "We gotta go now, while Lugia is facing Shadow Hoopa!"
Ash looked back unsure what to do even as they heard Lugia speaking telepathically to assure them, "Do not worry, Ash. I will not fall to a mind consumed by fury."
The Kantoan boy looked up to see the eyes of the legendary Pokémon, showing that it was not afraid, but also that it was not overconfident about its own strength. Now feeling assured, Ash cheered, "You can do it, Lugia!"
And then ran off with his friends to get away from Shadow Hoopa as the Legendary beast of the Seas faced it.
(HURRAY! HOOPA BROUGHT LUGIA TO HELP! HURRAY! HURRAY! HURRAY! I know what you're probably thinking. "Is that really the same Lugia from the Pokémon 2000 movie 24 yrs ago?" "How are you so sure this is the same one?" "Do you think we're getting punked?" To answer all of your questions I researched and according to reliable sources, especially what I could piece together from the novelization of the movie, I was able to say without a doubt that this is the very same Lugia from the Pokémon 2000 movie.
How will things be now that Ash and friends have a powerful ally on their side? Find out next time and stay tuned for the next chapter.)
