Earlier underneath the Eiffel Tower...
"Hey Izuku. It's been awhile, hasn't it?"
Midoriya couldn't look away from her as she floated in the air. All he could think about was getting that Miraculous away from her. The wind picked up a lot around Chrysalis, causing Midoriya's hair to blow all over the place. His teeth clenched as rage built up in his fists. He stood up and faced her with so much determination. His head still hurt from the initial bus crash, but he had to keep going.
"What do you want, Chrysalis?" Midoriya cried out over the wind, "You already have Ochaco's quirk. You should just give it up now."
Chrysalis's laugh rang out from all around Paris, getting Class 1-A's attention and Ladybug's team from all sides. Midoriya felt a chill down his back, making him freeze in place. He couldn't freeze up now, not when she had Uraraka's quirk in her hands.
"You really think I'm going to stop after a little bit of this quirk?" Chrysalis asked him, "Of course not. I will have your quirk too, Izuku. I've just gotta play my cards right."
Midoriya could tell that she was looking around the area for Uraraka, but he smiled at her, knowing full well that Uraraka knew to stay away from her.
"You're not going to find her," Midoriya told her with a smile, "She knows what you're planning. You want to use her and me to get through to Japan."
Chrysalis's eyes widened in shock, and Midoriya smiled even more once he spotted her being caught off guard. He knew she didn't know anything about that just based on her reaction.
"You knew about that, so you two aren't together. You separated, knowing that I'd go after both of you. That was smart of you," Chrysalis pointed out, "It doesn't matter. Ochaco will still show up. You and I both know she'll step in to save you."
"You don't know her like I do. She's strong and will do things her way, but she understands what's at stake here," Midoriya cried out, "You will give me back her Miraculous, Chrysalis."
Chrysalis seemed a bit thrown off by him yelling at her. She soon composed herself and got ready for an attack. Pulling out her cane like a sword, she pointed it at him.
"Izuku, you will give me your Miraculous," Chrysalis demanded at him, "You know that I won't back down. You might as well give it to me now."
Midoriya soon activated One for All and kneeled down to get ready. He smiled at her with determination, knowing that this might not be easy.
"Sorry, but I won't back down either," Midoriya said back.
Midoriya quickly launched at her, causing her to use her sword as a shield. He gripped onto it in the air, showing off his teeth. He was about to take it from her, but then she almost touched him with Uraraka's quirk. He almost forgot about that, but he quickly got away before she could do anything about it. He landed on the ground, looking up to see Chrysalis still floating.
Midoriya really didn't know how he was going to get that Miraculous from her. She had to touch him in order for the quirk to work, but the Miraculous was a ring.
"This is going to be annoying," Midoriya mumbled to himself.
"Do you mind if we help out?"
Midoriya turned around to see Iida, Kirishima and Todoroki show up from behind him. Once he saw them willing to help out, he knew things might be a little easier. They all looked at Chrysalis, and she looked more annoyed that it wasn't just her and Izuku fighting.
"You've gotta be kidding me. These three are here to stop me?" Chrysalis pointed out, "Yeah. We'll see."
"Don't underestimate us, Chrysalis," Todoroki growled out, "You have no idea who you are messing with."
Before he could use his quirk however, Midoriya stopped him.
"Wait a minute, Todoroki," Midoriya interrupted, "We need to get that Miraculous away from her. She's using Ochaco's quirk with that thing. The thing is though is that you can't get touched by her or you'll float."
"Seriously?" Kirishima said to him, "But how are you supposed to take off a Miraculous like that without getting touched. It's around her finger."
"I know. That means we need some sort for plan," Midoriya said to them, "I was thinking maybe Todoroki could try to freeze her. That might be hard for her to dodge. I kind of wish Queen Bee was here because then we could paralyze her with venom."
"Well, you've got me," Kirishima said as he got ready to make his move.
"Chrysalis might have an akuma. We did see an akuma out there earlier, so we should keep an eye out for that while we fight her," Midoriya said to them, "Kirishima could get launched towards her with Iida's help, but he might get touched by Ochaco's quirk."
"Well, we need to do something," Iida said to him, "We can't just stand here. She's probably thinking about going after Uraraka if that's the case. Remember, she wants to use you and Uraraka's quirks to get through to Japan. We can't let that happen."
Midoriya snapped out of it, even if he was a little worried about Uraraka. He turned around to face Chrysalis who looked really bored and annoyed.
"Are you three done? I just want Izuku, not you three," Chrysalis said to them.
"Well that's rude," Kirishima said to her, "You'll regret ever saying that, Chrysalis."
Midoriya then spotted Todoroki getting his ice side ready as an icy coating started to form around his arm. She hadn't moved, so he knew he would get her. Midoriya just had to distract her.
"Chrysalis, what exactly are you planning on doing? I mean, you said you want my Miraculous to get to Japan, but how would that help with Uraraka's Miraculous?" Midoriya asked her.
"Like I'd tell you anything, Izuku. You and I both know that her quirk has gotten stronger. I shouldn't have to explain why I'd use her quirk," Chrysalis said, getting a little annoyed.
"Yeah, but she did take the Fox Miraculous from you? What says she won't take the Butterfly Miraculous away from you as well?" Midoriya pointed out.
Chrysalis's eyes widened in shock, making her almost launch at him. He could tell that what he said right then and there really struck a nerve with her. Something about Uraraka taking the Fox Miraculous really bothered her. They could easily use that to take advantage of the situation.
Suddenly, an icy wall came right at her and froze her feet together in the air. She was shocked to see Midoriya get the upper hand in this one. Todoroki stood there with icy breath coming out of his mouth. She tried to get out of it, but was clearly stuck.
"Well, that was easy," Kirishima said to them.
Kirishima used his Hardening quirk to climb the ice wall to get to her. He reached up to her and tried to hold her down. But of course she wasn't cooperating and started banging on the ice holding her still.
"Hold still, Chrysalis. This'll just take a second," Kirishima said to her as he tried to grab her hands.
Chrysalis held her cane like a sword and pointed it at him.
"No way. I'm not letting you take my Miraculous," Chrysalis cried out as she tried to touch him.
He tried to wrestle over the cane and broke it in half. She quickly then touched him, and he started to float away. He tried to claw at the ice, but he felt himself start to float away.
"Kirishima!" Todoroki cried out.
Todoroki rushed over to him and tried to reach him by using his flames to boost him up. He tried to grab him, but he was just out of reach. Then Midoriya launched after him and caught him. He felt so light in his arms that he had to hold him even tighter. Just as he thought they were out of the clear, he witnessed Chrysalis break out of the ice. Todoroki didn't have enough time to shoot ice at her to freeze her, but went for his fire side. She floated over to him and was able to wait until the last second to touch Todoroki.
Chrysalis grabbed his collar, causing him to float.
"You really thought you could throw me off with a mere magic trick?" Chrysalis said through her teeth.
Then she let go of him, and he started to float away.
"Oops. My bad," Chrysalis said to him, "Sorry. I can be so clumsy sometimes."
Midoriya let Iida take care of Kirishima who was still floating. He held him down the best he could, but they needed to fight her somehow. Everyone else was busy trying to take care of HawkMoth. Midoriya looked back at Todoroki who was struggling to keep himself floating away from the group. He even tried to use his fire side to launch himself at Chrysalis. He was shocked to see him actually grab Chrysalis, but she really fought him to get off of him.
"Get off of me, wannabe hero!" Chrysalis cried out.
She felt him almost grab Uraraka's Miraculous, but her Miraculous made her more nimble and flip kicked him out of his grip.
Then suddenly Midoriya went after her, using One for All. He launched right for her and reached for the Miraculous. Not Uraraka's but the Butterfly Miraculous.
That made her blood boil.
She felt something coming over her as Midoriya touched it. Something about it gave her a feeling of anger and fear. She couldn't get out of his grip as he tried to fight to keep her in his grip.
"Chrysalis! It's over! Stop fighting us!" Midoriya cried out.
"No! I will not give up to you wannabe heroes! Especially you!" Chrysalis cried back, "You think you are such a great hero, and everything works out for you heroes! You and Ochaco are what I need to succeed! I'm going to Japan and there's nothing you can do to stop me!"
Chrysalis tried to touch him, but he made sure to stay away from her touch. She wasn't making it easy as he tried to take the Butterfly Miraculous. He thought if he took the Butterfly Miraculous then it would be much easier to take Uraraka's back. He almost had it when he felt her punch him in the gut. She touched him, which caused him to go flying.
Midoriya tried to stop himself from going any further, but the punch really made him distance himself from her. He looked around and saw Todoroki floating there towards the Eiffel Tower's first floor. Midoriya used One for All launched up towards him. He could maneuver through the air as he went after him. As he kept going, he felt something come over him. Like he should really use an upgrade right about now. He shook it off for now, knowing that it could wait. He had to save Todoroki, and then go after Chrysalis.
"Midoriya, what're you doing here?" Todoroki asked him.
"She got me, too," Midoriya said to him, "I came to save you. I thought that it was the best time to help you out."
Midoriya grabbed his wrist and used One for All to launch towards the ground. Todoroki held onto him as he launched forwards. The wind blew through their hair, and he soon landed on the ground very smoothly. As soon as he landed on the ground however, he could already feel himself start to float. Todoroki tried to freeze his feet to the ground, but he too felt himself float back up. Iida then ran over to them and grabbed both of their hands.
"This is getting ridiculous," Kirishima said to him.
"I don't know what else to do. You are all floating around. I can't keep you all down here with me," Iida said to them as he held onto them very tightly.
"You can't stop me now!" Chrysalis cried out as she floated all around them, "I will have your Miraculous, Izuku!"
She tried to go after him, but Todoroki quickly made a wall of ice go right in between them. Midoriya felt himself relax and something came over him as he watched Chrysalis break her way through the ice. He felt something off, like maybe he's done this before. He looked down at his belt and thought he saw it gone from his belt for a moment. It wasn't though, it was still there.
"That's weird," Midoriya mumbled to himself.
"What's wrong?" Iida asked him, "Did something happen with your Miraculous?"
"No. It actually feels like I just lost it to Chrysalis," Midoriya explained to them, "But, it's still here."
"Maybe it's Viperion. His Miraculous can time travel within five minutes. He must've done something, and it affected what we are doing," Iida said to them.
"That makes sense. It still hurts my head though," Kirishima said as he rubbed his head.
Chrysalis soon broke through the ice, causing it to shatter and float all over the place. Then Midoriya noticed something come over her. She looked like she was about to throw up.
"Guys. She can't use the Miraculous for that long. It's making her nauseous just like Ochaco's quirk," Midoriya explained.
"We just have to throw her off with more stuff to float and maybe that'll make it easier to take the Miraculous from her," Todoroki explained.
"But you two are floating. Aren't you going to have trouble with her?" Iida asked them a little concerned.
"No. We should be fine as long as I use One for All to maneuver around her," Midoriya explained.
"And I've got my fire side to propel myself towards her. I've got this," Todoroki explained as well.
Midoriya and Todoroki both got ready to go after her while Iida took care of Kirishima. They waited for the right opportunity to strike as Chrysalis tried to fight through the nausea. The moment she looked up, Midoriya went for it and used One for All.
"Chrysalis, I'll be taking that Butterfly Miraculous back for Ladybug," Midoriya said to her with glowing green eyes.
Chrysalis growled at him and tried to launch herself at him. Todoroki got ready and began to use his ice side. Midoriya made sure that Todoroki had a clear shot at Chrysalis and grabbed her wrist. She quickly kicked him away, but he dodged it and went around her. He kept going in different directions, which made her even more nauseous. She looked like she was turning green as he kept moving around so fast.
"The Fox Miraculous was never yours to begin with, Lila. That's why me and Ochaco are here to finally stop you! That Butterfly Miraculous, we'll be taking it back and giving it to the one who deserves it more than you!" Midoriya cried out as he kept maneuvering around really fast like.
Chrysalis looked really frustrated and soon faced Midoriya head on. She then noticed something coming her way and she flipped over the ice wall. Midoriya was shocked that she noticed that so easily and so fast. Midoriya knew that Viperion's Miraculous had something to do with it. Then she used the ice to launch at him, making her float closer to him.
Midoriya in a panic, found himself using One for All to punch her. She dodged him as a smile formed on her face. He didn't understand what it was that made her compose, but he didn't question it and kept going at her. Then Todoroki used his fire side to launch himself at her and tried to grab her. He struggled with the floating and ended up passing by her. She laughed at how ridiculous this all was and found it very amusing.
"Is this all you've got?" Chrysalis asked them out loud, "This is pretty sad for you wannabe heroes."
Midoriya ended up grabbing her wrist and went for her ring. Her eyes grew wide as he went for it. The moment he touched it however, she put her hands together to deactivate the Miraculous. Midoriya totally forgot about that as felt himself and Chrysalis falling to the ground. Todoroki fell to the ground, and Iida caught him. Midoriya instinctively used One for All and went to grab Chrysalis. She fought him even though he was trying to help and ended up pulling his hair.
"Get your hands off of me, wannabe hero," Chrysalis growled at him.
As they fell, Midoriya tried to use One for All to land, but her pushing and shoving made him stumble. He fell to the ground, and Chrysalis skidded across it. Midoriya felt a slight pain running up his leg as he tried to land, but must've hurt it. He tried to get up and soon stood up to see Chrysalis reaching out for her broken cane.
Todoroki ran over to Midoriya with a concerned look on his face.
"Are you okay, Midoriya?" Todoroki asked him.
Midoriya looked up to see Chrysalis holding her cane. His eyes widened when he saw her smiling widely at him. Before he could get a closer look, she ended up opening up her cane. It was holding an akuma.
"What're you doing, Chrysalis? There's no one around to akumatize," Midoriya cried out, "You've lost, Chrysalis."
Chrysalis's grin only grew wider as she let the akuma come closer to her. Midoriya's eyes widened in horror as he realized what she was planning on doing with it.
"I'd say I've just gotten started, Izuku," Chrysalis said to him, and then turned to the akuma, "Come to me, akuma and evilize me!"
Midoriya felt his feet running for it as he reached out to stop her. He tried to use One for All, but it was already too late. The akuma went into Uraraka's Miraculous. A purplish cloud formed all around her, and suddenly someone ran out of it and grabbed Midoriya as he reached out to her. He suddenly felt himself floating away again, but something about it felt a little stronger. She held onto him as she floated along with him. Then once Midoriya looked into piercing, pink eyes, he knew what had happened.
"Yo-You look like..." Midoriya growled at her.
"I look like Ochaco when she was akumatized. Yeah, I know," Chrysalis said back, "I thought it'd be fitting to fuse the Butterfly Miraculous with hers. But because it's not finished, I can't do that."
Midoriya tried to reach for her Miraculous, but something about her strength got boosted, and she pulled on his hair. He reached out again, using One for All. Then his eyes spotted her reaching for his Miraculous. She was about to take it from him, when something caught her attention. Chrysalis looked up and saw someone in the distance.
Midoriya noticed it right away, and she ended up letting go of him. He felt himself floating, but something about it felt not as strong this time around. Then she spotted someone fighting with HawkMoth. His eyes widened when that person that HawkMoth had grabbed was Uraraka. She fell to the ground, and they instantly noticed one another.
Chrysalis floated there in front of her, showing off her akumatized costume. She grinned down at her, giving Midoriya chills down his back.
"You really thought you could deactivate your quirk on me?"
Another amazing chapter!
This was interesting to write considering I wanted to connect this to the previous chapter somehow. The Viperion stuff going on, I like how it threw off the battle a little bit. Midoriya wasn't that bad to write. I do think it's funny how they'd totally win if it weren't for Uraraka's Miraculous messing with the fight. They almost got the Butterfly Miraculous a couple of times, but she soon akumatized herself! I didn't think I'd do this, but I thought it would be fun considering Uraraka's Miraculous and a slight return of Zero! This costume is basically a fusion of that with the Butterfly Miraculous.
