Beneath The Waves

Chapter: 10

Harmony wasn't allowed back at the palace. However, she could be under the sea. Harmony kept convincing herself she did the merited selection; fervor some juncture to uncoil these emotions before it got the best of her.

For instance, she won't live this pregnancy in the big blue. If she did, Dean would NEVER get to see their newborn. Damn council rules! She would NOT be insenstated. Harmony perceived that the news she had provided to Dean had to be settled, before they could decide on anything else. She recalled Dean's raspy words to her. Harmony aspired to be determined, except her epicenter felt as it was being extracted from her chest. She was confused. Was this true love?

Soon, Harmony reached the surface. After the transformation, she walked a little way when she ceased to wrap an abandoned cotton blanket around her. All disparate thoughts set aside. She had to get a job, for things presently survival wasn't free. That way, if Dean dismissed her, she could give the little one's equitable chance to see its father. No matter what, she wasn't assorting to be egotistical.

Directly, Harmony arrived at the venue. It resembles an old java venture.

'A coffee shop on the lakeside?' Harmony exhorted mentated.

The door had variant pictures on it, besides the espresso symbol. There was frozen dessert, water, snacks and so on.

In bold black print the emporium read, 'Store At The Shore.'

At the bottom, in red ink it read.

"Now hiring! Apply inside."

Harmony beamed and exclaimed, "Perfect!" As she entered the complex.

Meanwhile, at the sand dunes and minutes beyond from Harmony.

"SON OF A BITCH!" Dean yelled to the waves and added. "What the hell?"

"You tell me, Dean?" Sam stated.

"What was that 'bout? Did we scare her off or something?"

"I don't know, Dean. I'm just as shocked as you!"

Dean kneels to retrieve his shirt, causing heavy droplets to recede into the ocean. Next, he ringed it out, followed by shaking it dry. Lastly, he put the damp duds aslant on his arm as they headed to the trusted coupe.

"What if she speculated, we didn't care, or judge, or hated her? Or what if it was vice versa?" Dean quizzed, as he got another out and stashed it in the trunk.

"Dean, I don't think she would have fled if she didn't care. Maybe she requires space," Sam proposed.

"I don't get it, Sam!" Dean commented, perplexed.

Harmony had resulted in the boys to befuddled. Sam indicated the formulation.

"Dean, you do realize we need to find her?! Giving her um...Condition."

"I agree. This is a mess and it's urgent to be cleared up." Dean remarked, as he switched the ignition on, and the Impala roared to life.

Currently, Dean didn't wish to contemplate the worst, or what the future might be. He hope history didn't repeat itself. With Harmony being enceinte and her not being fully human, will they be complications? Will she requisite their guidance? With the youngster having different traits, what will be expected? They need to discourse about this. He couldn't deny he wasn't the sire anymore. Would she crave a relationship with him and how did he feel about it with her? Yes, it was authentic she was in imperilment all the time. Did he abstain away so they were less in danger?

Deep down he intuited he wouldn't be able to do that, even if he attempted.

Strangely, Harmony was the missing piece that Dean lacked in his presence. Dean's heart began to shatter. Why was he experiencing this?

Twenty-four hours passed since and the duties for Harmony were going great. Watson, her boss, had been so helpful to her, even giving her an adjacent residence to lodge. Harmony reflected on the first day she visited here...

Harmony paced in, frightened, but committed. All eyes were focused on her as she strode by to the counter. An elder and owner circulated, unsure of the view. She tried to remain calm.

The chap appeared to be middle aged, baled, his brown orbs in worry. The fella's skin had been kissed by the sun, his belly rounded. Despite that, the baggie Hawaiian palaka he wore.

The pensioner took a breath and asked, "Miss, you alright?"

"Yes, I -" Harmony whispered and desisted herself.

"Water?" The gaffer finished her sentence.

Harmony nodded and the guy replied with, "Come this way."

Harmony did as instructed and halted, when he stopped at the bench.

"Have a seat. It's so hot today. Some folks don't understand how important it is to stay hydrated." He said, as he offered her the aqua bottle.

Harmony looked up at him. "I don't have any money."

"It's on the house."

"Oh, thank you!"

Harmony opened and swallowed a few swings. The liquid was cold and crisp. She also examined the business. The supermarket had anything you wanted except alcohol. She knew this, given that there was a sign at the entrance. Besides the clear frigid fluid and ice cream, it did have nabs, chips, apparel, beach towels, plus accessories. It had four picnic tables outside with umbrellas at each one.

"You seem lost? Did something happen?" The gentleman beseeched.

Again, Harmony had to be conscientious on what information she put forth. If it had to be a lie, then so be it.

"A lot actually. I must have fallen overboard," Harmony asserted.

"Oh no! I'm so glad you didn't get hurt...Wait! How did you-?"

"I'm an excellent swimmer and we weren't that remote from land. Presumably, they didn't even notice my absence until they're sober." Harmony mentioned.

"When they do, will they search for you?" The curious male inquired.

"Yes."

"Well, until they come you will be safe here. Rest for now and we talk later. What is your name?"

"Oh, okay. It's Harmony."

"I'm Watson. Please if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask."

"There is one thing," Harmony spoke with confidence.

"Yes?" Watson queried, surprised.

"Is the position vacant?"

"It is. Why would you want to have an occupation here when you have family-friends coming for you?"

"You'll have to know them like I do." Harmony implied, as she rolled her optics in a gesture of their slow timing. In addition, she injected. "Having extra cash would assist me a lot."

"Okay. Let me go get an application for you to supply information. Also let me go and hunt for you some garments to put on."

Harmony despised lying. She couldn't expose him to the truth, about the Winchesters or her.

Promptly, Watson had returned with the multiple pages and clothes. He handed them to her. Harmony studied the pink blouse and denim shorts.

"Those were my daughters. She won't mind." Watson verbalized in a sad voice.

"Thank you so much!" Harmony vocalized.

"No problem. You take a right at the end of the hall there is a restroom where you can change."

"Okay." Harmony responded, as she commenced the job request. It was a fubsy sole to complete.

Harmony went on to slip into them, while Watson peeked at the application.

Brusquely, she emerged and he was startled by her question.

"Did I answer it correctly?" Harmony implored.

"Yes, you did!" Watson rejoined, as he skimmed the application's page and included. "Well, Miss Winchester. I hope you enjoy working here."

"I will." Harmony claimed, as they shook hands.

Harmony smiled as the reminiscence ended. She remembered Watson debriefing her the reason he built the establishment. It was because someone close to him had suffered a heat stroke.

That succeeding week, Harmony had found a cheap location to rent that was blocks from the outlet. It was a single bedroom, bath and kitchen. Intermittently, Dean would cross in her cerebrum, which led her to place her palm on her stomach.

She vacated, for it wasn't secure to be in the vicinity. What if any of those creatures kidnapped her and aimed to bargain for them to whatever, for her freedom?

Harmony ached for Dean so much that left her impaired. Did she do the virtuous thing by leaving? She wondered if she made the accurate choice. Anyways, it will be a while before they can track her. Maybe when the wean was born, they could meet somewhere. Harmony fathom Dean didn't yearn for her. Nevertheless, maybe he would have the child. Subsequently, she will have to divulge Watson about the baby. It won't be easy to cover up a big pregnant tummy, once she's that far along.
