Beneath The Waves

Chapter: 16

"Guys, I need to announce something. You're not going to like what I am going to say-"

Sam and Harmony watched him, anticipating his response.

"I didn't kill Barton."

Dean glimpsed up, disappointed in himself, for not at least getting the scum.

Sam conveyed first. "We'll get him. Don't stress on it so much, Dean."

"It's okay, Dean. Barton hasn't seen the last of us!" Harmony interposed.

Dean looked at them, both beamed at him. He noticed how cozy Dalton was in his uncle's gigantic arms. Then, he remembered the certain object he had with him, that he wanted Harmony to have.

"Harmony? Would you?" Dean asked, in mid-sentence and kneel beside the bed. He presented a ring to her.

"YES! Oh, Dean! YES!" Harmony exclaimed blissfully.

Few intervals passed, Harmony moved the curl hoop with her middle finger, before realizing it. She glanced at its marvelous beauty of a sparkling diamond shape, and encased design on the golden band.

Harmony had escaped to illusion-ville, until the burning of the Hamburger Helper snapped her from it. The meal had begun to stick to the bottom of the pan, making a mess.

"GET A GRIP, Harmony! The boys can't consume rubber for supper." Harmony scorned herself audibly.

Finally, the food was fixed, and the stove was off. Harmony once again admires her stunning jewelry. They had decided to delay setting the date. Neither soul was in a rush to get married at this second. Harmony had told Dean that she desired a pleasant wedding, when the time was ethical.

Harmony didn't require a piece of paper to tell her heart who it belonged to. The curved object and being betrothed was just a bonus. Equitable, they would have to see what the future brings. She giggled at Dean when she quizzed how he could afford it. He merely shrugged as it was his little secret. She guessed he won it in that poker game he was in, since every so often to make a bit of cash he would enroll in them. Harmony wasn't mad at him, she loved Dean, and he loved her. Harmony hurried at the task at hand, they would be here soon and hungry.

The group was allocated at the banquet table, where the belly-timbers that Harmony prepared were self-served.

"This is really-really yummy!" Sam verbalized; his cheeks crammed with portions of the delicious feast.

"Mmm. It is." Dean added, also his mouth full.

At that instant, he acquired a slip of his cold beer.

"I'm glad y'all like it." Harmony replied, as she purified the baby's nutrients.

Dalton had grown much speedily than ordinary humans. Harmony ensured them that this was standard given his 'sea' traits. She disclosed that it should stop when he turns nine or ten years old.

The Winchesters nodded, and Sam urged.

"How did you determine that?"

"Well...I had heard it from a minority of mermaids that their human mates refused them. It left them to raise the babies as merfolk's. These mermaids had discussed what their kids had accomplished, like the children's abilities to rapidly grow and so on. The sea doctor assured them that this was normal and not to fret."

"Is it forbidden?"

"It is. However, some took matters into their own hands. Some, it was merely an oops."

The Winchester continued to eat in silence.

After Dalton had ingested his blended bites, Harmony got her a plate as well. She positioned herself in between Dean and Dalton, who was in his highchair playing with his toys on the tray. The chaps had gone back for seconds, which Harmony didn't mind. It just meant her cooking was excellent.

"So, I saw a small and abandoned establishment that would be perfect for a dinner." Harmony hinted, excitedly.

Dean dropped his fork, loudly. Sam cleared his throat.

"What?" Harmony inquired, as she registered the fellow's exchanged expressions.

Dean swallowed and curiously recited, "A dinner?"

"Yes."

"Where at?" Sam questioned.

"Just miles down the road," Harmony related.

"Sam and I will have to inspect it before anything is done with it." Dean mentioned. Then, he swallowed a swig of his drink.

"Yeah, gotta make sure all the creeps are protected from the immense bad Harmony," Sam joked.

"Poor creatures!" Dean jested.

"Guys!" Harmony declared, displeased and rolled her orbs.

They chuckled, while in a cute laughter Dalton joined them.

"We can do this! And it can pay for itself. I even speculated on a color scheme and a name. H and D's."

"H and D's?" Dean implored.

"Oh! I get it," Sam rendered.

"Why our initials? Catchy though," Dean wondered.

"Why not? I'll have all kinds of edibles, especially the pies."

"PIES!" Dean responded.

"I thought you might like that idea. I'm even working on a menu. I also considered including ones who might have allergies, too."

"Wow!" Sam commented.

"I can have pie, free pie." Dean spoke, happily.

Sam slightly chortled at his older sibling's reaction. He removed Dalton out of the highchair.

"Come on, Dalton, let's you and I go play with these blocks. What da ya say, big fella."

Dalton just mumbled something, and Sam agreed with him. It was a sweet moment.

"He's growing so fast!" Harmony stipulated and got up to do the dishes.

"Yeah." Dean uttered, sadly.

"Dean, he won't try to murder you. Not like... When he's a teenager he might tell you he hates you and he'll say that to me, too." Harmony indicated.

"I know. I…just worry." Dean admitted.

Harmony smiled at him and pivoted to the dishes in the sink. Dean raised up and wrapped his arms around her, which made her cease her movement. He gave her a deep hug and sighed.

Harmony gripped both hands and stationed them onto Dean's.

"Things will be alright," she alleged in comfort.

"I hope so," he put forth.

Although, Dean's perceptions were somewhere else.

Morning had appeared and they all had agenda to do. Dean implemented it as a priority that there wasn't just a single vehicle at the Bunker. He tuned up a spare to be ready to go.

Dean and Sam had to go beyond town limits for a case that was necessary to be dealt with. It wasn't anything massive, just the salt 'n' burn ordeal. Dean relaid to Harmony they would be reinstated tomorrow, if things flow smoothly. He also divulged to her to keep in touch and let him roughly brief the building situation.

Harmony held Dalton in her arms as she walked enroute to Dean's other sedan. The spare automobile was a 1967 Shelby Cobra style Mustang. The Tang wasn't Baby, but her black glossy and a pair of orange race stripes resulted in her just as beautiful.

Dean snatched Dalton and embraced him. Ensuingly, he secured him in his car seat.

"Be good for mommy. Daddy and Uncle Sammy have to do something. We will be right back." Dean said and amble to Harmony.

"You two be careful!" She voiced sternly.

"We do our best." Sam riposted, as he shut the Impala's trunk and gave Dalton a kiss on top of his noggin. Following that, he entered the Impala.

Dean bent at a lower level to give Harmony a passionate kiss. To scurry them along, Sam honked the horn at them. In doing so, the couple snickered.

"You too," Dean stated as he climbed in the Impala.

"Will do."

With that, they bolted, going in opposite directions.

Harmony and Dalton returned with enviable information. She -they were the owner of that shop. Yes, a lot of things are to be constructed. Just the basics: electric, painting-cleaning, and so on.

'The news could wait until they arrived, I supposed.' Harmony mentated to herself.

Harmony was carrying Dalton in, as she shared with him the ideas that she had in store for the complex. The boy would grin at her. Next, she placed him groundward in his play pen, succeeding her warming up the vestiges. In equidistant, her android went off. Harmony extracted and answered it.

"Hello. Hey. Yep...It was splendid...Yes. I was gonna- Really? I hear ya...Alright...Yeah, I will...I-"

Abruptly, Harmony heard a noise. Immediately, she instructed Dean to hold on.

"What's going on?" Dean requested in the context.

Harmony put the cellular in her pocket, and grabbed her weapon that was close to her. She retrieved it from the 'gear room' when the Winchesters departed. Harmony veered quietly towards the sound.

All of the sudden, Harmony felt frosty hard arms engulfed her, as she struggled. It was clear by the view of who it was.

"Now, now. Don't even think about it! It's so nice to smell you again." Barton remarked, as he inhaled the scent of her skin.

"UGH! You again?! How did you get in here?"

"I have my methods!" Barton hissed.

"Let me go!" Harmony demanded.

"Not happening! I will finish what I've started!"

Harmony's eyes widened yet softened. She realized her phone was still online with Dean. She pondered if he had listened to every word.

Matter of fact, he did. At that point, Dean had formed a U-turn and was heading posterior to her. Sam let go of the side of the door when he witnessed his brother take this maneuver.
