After her meeting with Amanda, Olivia went into her office, closed the door, and did 2 hours of paperwork. She had no feelings of deja vu. As soon as she was done, she received a call from Tommy McGrath who unfortunately was still her boss. It surprised her that she was grateful for the call, it gave her an excuse to hide out in her office for another 45 minutes.

Now, she was in the parking lot of her building in her car, afraid to enter her own apartment. She took 3 deep breaths, and forced herself to exit her car, go on the elevator, ride up to her floor, and walk to her apartment door. As soon as reached the door, her phone rang. She answered without looking at the caller ID. "Benson."

"Hi, mom", Noah answered.

"Noah, I'm right outside the door, sweet boy. I'll see you in a minute."

"Mom, I'm not home, I'm with Jesse at Aunt Amanda and Uncle Sonny's. Aunt Amanda will drop me off later"

"Noah, put Aunt Amanda on the phone."

OK, hold on", Noah whined.

"Liv, what's up?" Amamda asked,a minute later.

"I didn't know Noah had plans to go over to your place. You didn't say anything when I saw you today."

"I didn't know. When I got home, he was here. Don't worry I'll make sure he does his homework, and I'll drop him off after dinner. Oh, and you should know Jesse already asked me if Noah could sleep over this weekend. I said he could as long as it's OK with you."

"Amanda, I think that's inappropriate."

"I'll watch them, Liv, and Noah can sleep in the guestroom. Trust me. Just think about it. You and Barba can have a good time." Olivia could hear Amanda grinning.

"Amanda—"

"Bye-bye, Liv," Amanda replied, still grinning. She hung up before Olivia could say another word.

Olivia sighed softly, placed her phone back in her pocket, took out her key, unlocked the door, and stepped inside her apartment, She turned, locked the door, and kicked off her shoes. "Rafael!" She called. It was silent "Rafael"She called again, there was no response. She waited a minute before she called, yet again."Rafael!" Again, her call was met with silence. She walked to the couch, and sat down.

She allowed relief to wash over her. Barba isn't here. He was never here. I'm not married to him. I imagined the whole thing, Olivia thought to herself. She began to panic. Am I going crazy? She thought to herself. An instant later, another unidentifiable emotion washed over her. Her eyes were heavy and she closed them.

"Mi vida, I'm home. Liva." Olivia slowly opened her eyes.

"Rafael." She said, softly.

Rafael smiled at her, and his green eyes seemed to sparkle as he gazed at her. He was holding grocery bags in both hands. "I got held up in court, and there was a huge line at the grocery store. Rest. I'm making Pollo Asado for dinner."

"Rafael?" Olivia said, confused.

"What?"

"Never mind", she answered, closing her eyes quickly.

"Wake up, mi vida, dinner is ready. Rafael announced. The sound of Rafael's calm voice woke Olivia. She opened her eyes to see him holding out his right hand to her. She took it, and he gently pulled her to her feet. Suddenly, she felt his lips on her forehead, they lingered there for a moment, and Olivia felt herself blush, then gently Rafael finally kissed her forehead. She enjoyed the familiar feeling. She found herself squeezing his hand as he escorted her to the dining table. He pulled out her chair, and waited for her to sit down, He then sat down in the chair directly across from her.

The aroma of the food coming from her plate made Olivia's mouth water. "Rafael, this smells delicious", she said.

"You say that about everything I cook", Rafael answered. He took a forkful of food from his plate, and ate.

Olivia took a bite of chicken. "Mm". she moaned. "This is the best chicken I have ever tasted."

"I love to see you enjoying my food." Rafael said, giving her a smile that made her heart skip a beat. "Liva?" Livia? Are you with me?"

"What?" She asked, her voice sounding startled.

"What's wrong, Liv? Did something happen at work?" Rafael asked, alarmed.

"No, no", Olivia answered quickly. "I'm just tired. How was your day?"

"Good. The jury seems to like me, which is good news for .."

"Remember when we used to work together? I miss it... so much." Olivia put some rice and chicken on her fork, placed it in her mouth, slowly chewed, and swallowed.

"I know", Rafael replied, softly. He watched as his wife placed her fork back on her plate. He felt his body tense as panic started to build. Olivia Benson was his best friend, she was his wife, he knew her. He knew there was something she wasn't telling him, and he didn't like it.

"We were a team."

"We are a team, Liv." He answered, quickly. "That hasn't changed." Olivia rose from the table without a word. Rafael stood up from his chair. He watched Olivia move away from the table, and turn her back to him. "Where are you going?"

"I'm tired, I need to sleep." She said, walking quickly down the hallway, and entering the bedroom she woke up in this morning, the bedroom she never thought of as anybody else's but hers. She climbed onto her bed, and closed her eyes. Tomorrow everything would be back to normal, it had to be.
