Alana has PTSD as well as Stockholm Syndrom. This is why, while she can never forget the horrible night they met, or everything they've done afterwards, she is reluctant to leave Joker. After spending an unknown amount of time with them, her mind has become broken and snapped. At one moment she may act surprisingly sane but in the next it's very clear she isn't. Her emotional state has especially become rather unstable. Quick to anger, Alana is more willing to become violent and will hurt others; only sometimes regretting it later on. She also has a hard time connecting to her understanding of feelings for others. Friendship and genuinely liking someone is easy enough but anything more than that can have her questioning herself. Same goes for how others feel for her. Do they really like her as a person or are they simply using her? When left to think about this too much it causes her distress and she begins to doubt herself and has her desperately wishing to see her older brother again. Of whom she can't see anymore due to her fear of getting him killed if she ever returned to her world. Which in turn only depresses her more. This, aside from her own willingness due to her Stockholm Syndrom, is what primarily keeps her in the prison/circus and in Joker's clutches.

Outside of my Broken Altercations story, and of the whole prison "living quarters" thing, Alana's room is also technically a cell. When she had first been brought into Wonderland, a cell had been transformed into a bedroom as a way around breaking the rules. This way she could be kept in the prison as a prisoner of sorts but, due to the rules, until forced to face her guilt, gradually be allowed freedom. Joker gets away with keeping her locked up by stating it's for her own safety. Either it be from escaped prisoners or the occasional 'visitor' that'd come into the prison. The 'cell' itself is in a section of the prison that is empty and seldomly visited. So the chances of being found are very low. This is, of course fully intentional, as Joker fully intends on keeping her existence a secret. Plus, though he may have found a 'way around' of keeping Alana in the prison 'legally,' he fully knows it's only a technicality and, as such, he's still breaking the rules.

Black Joker initially wanted to kill Alana, and even broke three of her ribs by stomping on her chest. This is due to the fact she managed to stab him while still in her world when he tried to prevent her from running away. As far as my story is concerned, this is after he and White had already killed three others and were covered in blood. They had learned through one of these people, who thought by telling them it'd save his life, she had their missing masks. It is unclear if Alana had simply returned them she'd have been left alone but she didn't think twice about getting away. It was entirely White Joker's idea to leave her alive and bring her back into Wonderland; impressed with the fight she managed to put up. Even after she got cut by glass jumping through a window and got her leg cut when he tripped her she didn't stop her struggle. She even tried to cut and stab them again before her hand was stepped on and her dagger got taken from her. It was only when her chest got stomped on did her struggle cease due to the shear pain. A pain which eventually made her pass out and later wake up in what would become her bedroom in the prison.

Despite the fact that Black is the one that initially wanted to kill her, White is the one that she dislikes the most. This is primarily because, while he doesn't typically physically harm her, he enjoys teasing her and messing with her head. More times than not in cruel ways; one of which that accidentally resulted in a twisted ankle. The fact he often keeps up a 'pleasant demeanor' during these times only disturbs her more. Sometimes even scares her, and one smile in particular can cause ice to shoot down her spine. Because of the times he is genuinely kind to her, however, it makes it hard to stay angry at him. More so the more her mind begins to 'break'. As for Black Joker, aside from finding out he would treat her kinder as long as she behaved and didn't put up a fight, she can't recall when she stopped hating him. As she gets more comfortable with him she enjoys bantering and seeing how far she can push him without making him angry. Though he also likes messing with her it's not to the same level as White. While a part of her is still weary of them, and she'll never forget what they've done, as time goes on she finds herself enjoying their company and manages to form civil and even friendly relationships with them.

Just felt like writing some things down about my 'Kidnapped by Joker' Alana. Whom you 'see' in my Broken Altercations story. While it's been 8+ years I recently began to think of these things. And I thought of them on the mindset of someone asking for clarification on some things after reading the story. Mostly on the stuff that either wasn't clear enough or not mentioned at all. There is actually a lot more I wanted to write down, and even started to, but for the most part it began turning into rewrites of what I already mentioned. So I had to stop myself since I was beginning to confuse myself. I already got a little carried away with the last two paragraphs, given the top two were what I really wanted to mention ^^'. For those that do end up reading this and have further questions, feel free to ask.
