Summary: "Kal, can you do me a favour?" Sophia asked her cousin, Kallen. "Record Si on the day I give birth to my first child – I want to see how he handles being put in the position that you have just being put into."
Notes: Ah, the twin bond, Kesha and Kallen are not the only Tracy's that experience it, Sophia and Simon (as well as Aaron and Alexander) have one too…
Bonds – The joy of childbirth
2097
"I'm warning you, Shay," Simon Tracy growled at his cousin Shane. "Put that fucking thing away before I grab it and shove it up your arse."
"No can-do cousin," Shane replied, with a shit eating grin on his face. "Phia asked for this to be recorded, remember?"
"She asked Kallen to record this, if I'm recalling thing's correctly," Simon snarled back. "Last time I checked you were not him."
"Oh, come on Si, you know full and bloody well if he was here, he would be doing this for your sister," Shane replied. "And considering that Keys would have made him go through the joys of child birth for a second time a few days ago, I don't think he would be showing you much sympathy – considering you made fun of him when Lucy and Luke were born."
"That was eight fucking years ago," Simon snarled. "And if he was still alive, I would have shown him a bit more sympathy this time around, considering… I could have used his help in finding that turkey baster that Phia likes to call Daniel that's for sure."
"So, Phia still hasn't told you much about her babies daddy, has she?" Shane asked.
"No, she h-hasn't," Simon gritted his teeth as he felt his sister go through another contraction, seriously how did Kallen survive Keys first childbirth? "But when I find that prick, he's a dead man."
"You do realize, that the fact that we are out for the baster's blood, is probably why Phia hasn't told us much about him, right?" Shane pointed out, as Briar Tracy walked into the lounge. "Besides the bastard is missing the birth of his own children, so I don't get why Phia's protecting his arse."
Simon growled in frustration as another contraction hit him, "That Turkey probably doesn't care," he snapped.
"As much as I don't want to play devil's advocate here," Briar cut in. "But I've had EOS keep track of Phia's commutations since she announced she was pregnant, in an attempt to track down this Daniel character, and she hasn't had any contact with anyone that could even potentially have that name, the last time she was off grid was when her children were conceived," he sighed. "So, there is a strong chance this Daniel doesn't know he's about to become a father."
"Are you being fucking serious, Briar?" Simon howled, as another even stronger contraction hit him. "Are you suggesting that this guy doesn't even know he knocked up my sister?"
"That's exactly what I'm suggesting," Briar replied, as the coms beeped. "Hey, I don't like it any more than you do," he added, as he answered the call. "Hello, Dianne-"

"Hello, Dianne, how are you doing today?"
Dianne Simms looked at Briar, Simon and Shane Tracy and sighed, while she didn't mind talking to any of the Tracy's she was actually trying to get hold of Sky, Keys or Phia, mostly Keys to see if she was going to tell her the gender and names of the twins, that she knew – by Kallen's reaction – she had just given birth to a few days earlier.
She had heard the story of what had happened to Kallen when Lucy and Luke were born, and it startled the Spectrum officers when Kallen just randomly started to experience labour pains in the middle of a debrief.
Come to think of it, Kallen was probably more startled by the fact that the bond he shared with Keys was still alive, than the fact that she was pregnant.
"I'm doing fine, Briar," Dianne replied. "And how are you boy's doing today?"
"We are doing just fine," Briar answered, as Simon groaned in pain beside him. "Just going through the usual Tracy Island chaos."
Dianne narrowed her eyes, "Is Si alright?" she asked.
"Oh, he's fine," Shane laughed. "He's just getting in touch with his inner woman."
"That's it!" Simon yelled, as he jumped up. "Since I can't go and kill Daniel, I'm going to murder you instead, Shane!" There was a blur of holograms as Simon charged after Shane.
"Do I want to know what that was about?" Dianne asked Briar.
Briar shrugged, "It's Simon and Shane," he replied. "What do you expect?"
Dianne's original reply was lost when she heard Simon scream in pain, "Are you sure, Si's alright?" she asked.
"He's fine," Briar replied quickly, while looking over his shoulder. "Is there a reason why you are calling, Dianne?"
"Is something happening on the Island right now, Briar?" Dianne asked.
"Nothing that you have to worry about," Briar replied sharply.
"Well can I have a girl talk with Sky, Keys or Phia?" Dianne asked.
Briar winced, "They are all busy at the moment," he replied.
"Are they out on a rescue the moment?" Dianne asked, she knew Keys wouldn't be, but she didn't want to explain how she knew Keys had been pregnant, when nobody on the Island had actually told her.
"I'm sorry, Dianne," Briar answered. "But, I can't disclose that information, I will tell them you called." He sighed. "I better go and make sure Simon doesn't actually kill Shane, talk to you later."
"Later," Dianne replied, with a frown as Briar's holo faded out.
Dianne sighed, she and Kallen had begun to suspect that her island clearance had been revoked as a security measure, for at least as long as she served as part of Spectrum - the fact Briar hadn't been willing to tell her what was going on confirmed that, much to her disappointment.
International Rescue still didn't trust Spectrum, granted they still didn't know Kallen was Mahogany, and she had informed them that Spectrum's Mysteronized officers were not under Mysteron control, but communications between the two organizations were still strained, and the personal communicators between Mahogany's team had not been given back to Phia and Keys, much to Kallen's and Turquoise's disappointment.
Thinking about Turquoise, reminded Dianne about something Si said on the call, who was this Daniel he wanted to kill? Surely, he wasn't talking about Turquoise – the Spectrum Lieutenant hadn't spoken to Phia in months… Also, none of the Tracy had called her demanding Turquoise's head, so she was pretty sure they weren't talking about him.
What had this mysterious Daniel done to get Si so angry with him? She wondered.
There was a knock on the door of her quarters, and Dianne looked up to see Symphony Angel, aka Karen Wainwright, looking back at her, "The guys are currently having a knife throwing competition," she said. "Want to show them how it's done?"
Dianne nodded and went to join her fellow Angel, her problems with International Rescue could wait until she had a chance to talk to Kallen…
Notes: So yeah, I may have mashed the two Captain Scarlet, series together, with the original cast of characters that didn't feature in NCS filling in the gaps of the next gen characters that Mahogany, Navy, Copper and the Skybase kids can't fill – there is more to this which I plan to build on I have just got to get those blasted ducks lined up…
