Someone was following her, Dianne Simms, aka Rhapsody Angel, knew it.
She looked over her shoulder in the car rental parking lot of London Airport trying to see if she could spot her pursuer, but so far he/she was alluding her.
She had been lucky to score some leave from her duties at Spectrum, to attend a family get together at the Creighton-Ward estate, and she was going to make the most of her time off.
She had messages and pictures for her cousin Sophia Creighton-Ward Tracy, from Captain Mahogany and, the now, Captain Turquoise, including baby pictures of Kallen and Clara's new baby daughter, Tian.
She had questions for her cousin as well, the names and genders of Kesha's Twins been on the top of that list.
She also hoped that she could get the opportunity to talk to Belle or Hana, about her mixed emotions about Clara's father, Colonel Scarlet.
She didn't know if it was because of sympathy, the man had just lost his wife a couple months earlier, the fact that he still looked like he was in his early 40's or the fact that he was quite the charmer when he wanted to be, but she had found herself attracted to the man and the undercover mission that she had just completed with him where they had to pose as a couple, had only made the awkwardness between them worse.
Not to mention, she couldn't really discuss this with Kallen, considering that this was his father-in-law and she didn't want to upset his wife.
She was also pretty sure that Paul was just as confused about the way he felt about her…
Dianne shook her head to clear her thoughts and focus on the situation at hand, as she slowly walked up to the car that she rented.
She took one last look around the parking bay as she pressed the unlock button on the car's fob key… Nothing…
It wasn't until she opened the car door and was moving to get in that a blur of movement caught her eye behind her, she spun around only to find herself staring in the barrel of a gun, "Hello, new Rhapsody," Captain Black sneered. "In a hurry to go somewhere?"
"What do you want?" Dianne snarled back, hoping that she could buy some time to break free and call Skybase.
"Cutting straight to the chase I see," Black replied, an evil smile crossing his face. "Pity, but then again you don't have the history with Conrad here do you?" He sighed. "I suppose that's to be expected with most of Conrad's former comrades aging out or dying, I'm guessing Scarlet, Blue and Green are the only ones left now."
Dianne just stared at the Mysteron wondering what he was up to.
"But that doesn't answer your question does it?" Black continued. "I am going to be your date to the little party that you have come home to attend."
"So you can make another attempt on International Rescue?" Dianne snapped back. "Over my dead body."
"That's kind of the idea," Black replied, and pulled the trigger of the gun.
Dianne barely had any time to register the fact that Black had shot her as the bullet tore through her heart and lungs, her last thoughts, as an ordinary human, being one's of failure…

When Dianne came to she was sitting in the driver's seat of the car.
Dianne blinked in confusion, or more like she tried to blink in confusion, it took her a moment to realise that her body wasn't responding to her commands.
Dianne's mind froze, Wait a second, she thought, Black shot me, I should be dead…
Dianne mentally shrieked, as she mentally thrashed against the barrier that was blocking her control of her own body, Did Kallen feel this when they did this to him? She thought wildly. Get out of my head you monster's let me go!
For a split second, she felt the barrier wobble, then it shoved back at her with a force that left her stunned, by this time Black had gotten into the car.
"What's the matter?" Black asked her.
"The earthwoman's mind is still alive and is fighting back," she replied. "I have control, but she is being difficult."
Black frowned, "You had better not lose your grip on her then," he growled. "For you sake…" he glared at her. "What are you waiting for? You know what you have to do."
"I will obey," the Mysteron replied, as it used Dianne's body to start the cars engine and drive it out of the parking lot.
Dianne watched the scenery go past as she racked her brains trying to figure out how to stop the car from getting to its destination.
She had to find a way to crash the car and kill herself, and hopefully take that Mysteron scum that was controlling her body with her it was the only way she could protect her family and friends.
They were on a country road with a lorry coming down from the other direction, when Dianne decided to make her move.
Using all the mental strength she could muster she broke through the barrier for a split second, in that second she sent the car into a suicide run straight into the lorry.
The Mysteron wasn't able to get the car out of the way before the car crashed into the lorry, and while Dianne hoped the driver of the other vehicle would be alright, as she felt herself getting fatally injured, for the second time that day, she was relieved that the Mysterons were not able to use her to hurt her family and friends…

The Lorry Driver got out of his truck and looked over the scene in panic, the occupants in the car were clearly dead, what was he going to tell the police?
The driver needn't worried, because seconds later his truck blew up ending his life instantly.

As police roared down the road to investigate the site of a suspected explosion, they didn't notice the Lorry as it drove away with two extra passengers.
The Mysteronized Lorry driver looked over at his to currently dead passenger's, the plan to assassinate several members of International Rescue had failed, but the fact that they now had a female Myst in their possession was an unexpected windfall.
Captain Black was going to have a new set of orders as soon as he recovered that would keep him occupied for the next few months.
The female Myst was going to wish that she never survived…
