Nazz vs. Charlotte
"Way to go, Kevin." Jonny says to Kevin after he rejoins his friends at the lobby.
"You were awesome." said Nazz.
"Rolf is pleased with your victory over Carter." said Rolf.
"Thanks, guys; at least things are cool between us and our rivals." said Kevin.
"Yeah; I didn't even need to battle Charlotte." said Nazz. "It only took being reunited with Teddiursa to change her view of things." Just then, an announcemnt came over the PA system.
"Will Nazz and Charlotte report to the Grass field; your match will begin in ten minutes." a voice over the PA system says.
"Wish me luck, guys." said Nazz.
"Plank says you don't need luck." said Jonny.
"Luck is for those with no skill." said Rolf.
"Thanks, guys." said Nazz. She walks off to the area where the Grass battlefield is. Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny were soon sitting in bleacher overlooking the Grass battlefield. Nazz was walking to one end of the battlefield while Charlotte, who now wore an open, short sleeved, button up, orange shirt over a yellow shirt, orange shorts, yellow and orange sneakers over white socks walked to the other end of the battlefield.
"Hey, Charlotte; I like your new outfit." said Nazz.
"Thanks, Nazz." Charlotte happily replied. "Even though things have changed between us, let's not go easy on each other."
"Don't worry; I won't." replied Nazz. An official walks to the center of the arena.
"This quarterfinal match will be between Nazz and Charlotte." said the official. "Each trainer will use three Pokemon. The battle will end when one trainer's Pokemon are unable to battle. The trainer who still has Pokemon remaining will be the winner. Let the battle begin." The official walks off the battlefield while Nazz and Charlotte each pull out a pokeball.
"Go, Gliscor!" said Charlotte, throwing her pokeball and releasing her Gliscor.
"Charlotte starts things off with a Gliscor." said the announcer.
"Go, Farfetch'd!" said Nazz, throwing Farfetch'd's pokeball and releasing him.
"And Nazz responds by bringing out a Farfetch'd." said the announcer.
"Okay, Farfetch'd, use Leer!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd glares at Gliscor and his eyes glowed blue; weakening Gliscor's defense.
"Gliscor, use Thunder Fang!" said Charlotte. Gliscor flies at Farfetch'd while its mouth was coated with electricity and it bites Farfetch'd, dealing super effective damage to him; static surrounds Farfetch'd. "Looks like Farfetch'd is paralyzed."
"You can do it, Farfetch'd!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd lets out a yell and the static dispersed from his body.
"How did Farfetch'd do that?" asked Charlotte.
"The bond between us." replied Nazz.
"That is so cool!" said Charlotte.
"Thanks. Okay, Farfetch'd, use Acrobatics!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd glows light blue and it zips towards Gliscor and rams into it, knocking it back.
"Gliscor, use Ice Fang!" said Charlotte. Gliscor flies towards Farfetch'd while ice surrounded its mouth and it bites Farfetch'd, dealing super effective damgae to him.
"Farfetch'd, use Aerial Ace!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd flies towards Gliscor while surrounded by streaks of white light and he rams into Gliscor, damaging it.
"Gliscor, use Thunder Fang!" said Charlotte. Gliscor flies towards Farfetch'd while electricity surrounded its mouth.
"Dodge it!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd flies up and avoids getting bit by Gliscor. "Now use Brave Bird!" Farfetch'd flies towards Gliscor while his body was surrounded by fire; he suddenly becomes surrounded by a light blue aura and he crashes into Gliscor. It falls onto the battlefield with swirly eyes; Farfetch'd flinches in pain from the recoil damage of Brave Bird.
"Gliscor is unable to battle. Farfetch'd wins the match." said the official.
"Nazz's Farfetch'd has beaten Gliscor; what Pokemon will Charlotte bring out next?" asked the announcer.
"Way to go, Farfetch'd." said Nazz. Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny cheered from the stands. Charlotte returns Gliscor to its pokeball.
"You did all you could, Gliscor; I'm proud of you for trying." said Charlotte. She puts Gliscor's pokeball away and pulls out a Net Ball. "Dragalge, go!" Charlotte throws the Net Ball and releases what appeared to be a longer Skrelp with a red, leaf-like crest on its head. Kevin points the pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Dragalge, the Mock Kelp Pokemon, and the evolved form of Skrelp. Tales are told of ships that wander into seas where Dragalge live, never to return." said the pokedex.
"And Charlotte's second Pokemon is a Dragalge." said the announcer.
"Her Skrelp must've evolved." said Kevin. Back on the battlefield, Farfetch'd and Dragalge faced each other.
"Farfetch'd, use Air Slash!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd's wings glowed light blue and he flaps them, releasing light blue, circular energy blades from them and they hit Dragalge.
"Dragalge, use Aqua Tail!" said Charlotte. Dragalge leaps at Farfetch'd while its tail was surrounded by water and it hits Farfetch'd with it, knocking him to the ground; it turned purple under Farfetch'd's eyes.
"Farfetch'd is poisoned!" said Kevin.
"But how did Aqua Tail poison Farfetch'd?" asked Jonny.
"Don't you remember Skrelp's Poison Touch ability?" asked Kevin.
"Oh, yeah." replied Jonny. Farfetch'd coughs from the poisoning and he collapses.
"Farfetch'd is unable to battle. Dragalge wins the match." said the official.
"And Charlotte's Dragalge has beaten Nazz's Farfetch'd; what will Nazz bring out next?" asked the announcer.
"Don't give up, Nazz!" said Kevin.
"Rolf believes in you!" said Rolf.
"Me and Plank too." said Jonny. Nazz returns Farfetch'd to his pokeball.
"You were aweome, dude." said Nazz. She puts Farfetch'd's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Gardevoir, go!" She throws Gardevoir's pokeball and releases her.
"Nazz's second Pokemon is a Gardevoir." said the announcer. Back on the battlefield, Gardevoir and Dragalge faced each other.
"Okay, Gardevoir, use Calm Mind!" said Nazz. Gardevoir closes her eyes and she begins to glow; she opens her eyes and they glowed brightly, increasing her attack and special attack strength.
"Dragalge, use Poison Tail!" said Charlotte. Dragalge leaps at Gardevoir while its tail glowed purple and it hits Gardevoir with it, dealing super effective damage.
"Gardevoir, use Psychic!" said Nazz. Gardevoir's eyes glowed blue and releases a light blue shockwave at Dragale, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to it.
"Dragalge, use Acid!" said Charlotte. Dragalge sprays a stream of purple liquid from its snout and it hits Gardevoir, dealing super effective damage, and weakening her special defense.
"Gardevoir, use Future Sight!" said Nazz. Gardevoir's eyes glowed light blue. Charlotte and Dragalge looked around.
"Nothing's happening." said Charlotte.
"Yet." replied Nazz.
"Anyway; Dragalge, use Sludge Bomb!" said Charlotte. Dragalge unleashes a brown ball of sludge from its snout at Gardevoir, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to her. It turned purple under Gardevoir's eyes.
"Gardevoir's poisoned." said Nazz. A strong wind suddenly came onto the battlefield.
"Where's this wind coming from?" asked Charlotte. Suddenly, a rainbow-colored sphere of energy appears out of nowhere towards Dragalge and hits it, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out. "Where did that come from?"
"That was Gardevoir's Future Sight; have to wait a while before that move shows up." replied Nazz.
"Dragalge is unable to battle. Gardevoir wins the match." said the official.
"Nazz's Gardevoir has beaten Charlotte's Dragalge; now Charlotte has only one Pokemon left." said the announcer. Charlotte returns Dragalge to its Net Ball.
"You were amazing out there, Dragalge; I'm pleased with how hard you battled." said Charlotte. She puts Dragalge's Net Ball away and pulls out a pokeball. "You're quite the trainer; you must've trained real hard since we saw each other at Snowbelle City."
"I have." replied Nazz.
"Now you'll see how hard I trained." said Charlotte. "Gothitelle, go!" She throws Gothitelle's pokeball and releases her.
"And Charlotte's final Pokemon is her Gothitelle." said the announcer.
"You still want to battle, Gardevoir?" asked Nazz. Gardevoir nods in response.
"Your Gardevoir is brave, Nazz, but I won't go easy on her." said Charlotte. "Gothitelle, use Shadow Ball!" Gothitelle forms a ball of purple energy between her hands and she launches it at Gardevoir, hitting her, and dealing super effective damage to her; she falls to the ground, unconscious.
"Gardevoir is unable to battle. Gothitelle wins the match." said the official.
"In one move, Gothitelle has beaten Gardevoir, bringing Nazz down to one Pokemon." said the announcer.
"You can still win this, Nazz!" said Kevin.
"You can do it!" said Jonny. Nazz returns Gardevoir to her pokeball.
"You were great, Gardevoir." said Nazz. She puts Gardevoir's pokeball away and pulls out a Great Ball. "Your Gothitelle is strong, Charlotte."
"Thanks." replied Charlotte, cheerfully.
"But don't think that means I'm giving up; not a skill I possess." said Nazz. "Florges, go!" She throws Florges' Great Ball and releases her.
"Nazz's final Pokemon is a Florges." said the announcer. Florges and Gothitelle faced each other.
"Okay, Florges, use Grassy Terrain!" said Nazz. Florges releases a light green, ring of energy from her body onto the grass of the battlefield; flowers grow from the field.
"Wow! You made the battlefield pretty!" said Charlotte. "But it'll take more than that to beat Gothitelle. Okay, Gothitelle, use Psychock!" Gothitelle forms a thick mass of blue, light blue, and purple energy between her hands; she launches it at Florges, hitting her, and dealing damage.
"Florges, use Petal Blizzard!" said Nazz. Florges releases multiple shining yellow petals from her body and they hit Gothitelle, damaging her.
"Gothitelle, use Psychic!" said Charlotte. Gothitelle's eyes glowed light blue; Florges becomes surrounded by a light blue glow. She gets lifted up and slammed onto the battlefield.
"Magical Leaf!" said Nazz. Florges gets up and releases multiple glowing green leaves from her body and they hit Gothitelle, damaging her.
"Gothitelle, Pound!" said Charlotte. Gothitelle leaps at Florges and pounds her, damaging her.
"Tackle!" said Nazz. Florges rams into Gothitelle and knocks her back. "This battle is intense!"
"I know; I'm getting goosebumps!" said Charlotte. "Gothitelle, Psychic!"
"Florges, Petal Dance!" said Nazz. Gothitelle's eyes glowed light blue; Florges becomes surrounded by a light blue glow and she begns to get lifted off the field; Florges releases a spiral of pink petals from her body, and they hit Gothitelle, damaging her. The glow around Florges disappears and she lands on the ground; Gothitelle falls backwards and lands on the field with swirly eyes.
"Gothitelle is unable to battle. Florges wins the match. The winner of this quarterfinal match is Nazz." said the official.
"It's over! Nazz's Florges has beaten Charlotte's Gothitelle and earning Nazz the victory!" said the announcer.
"Yeah!" cheered Nazz, raising a fist. Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny cheered for Nazz. Charlotte returns Gothitelle to her pokeball.
"You battled really hard, Gothitelle; I'm very proud of you for giving it your all." said Charlotte. She puts Gothitelle's pokeball away and walks over to Nazz. "That was the best battle ever."
"I know, right?!" replied Nazz. Charlotte then gives Nazz pokedollars. "So, what are you going to do now?"
"After I get my Pokemon healed, I'm going to the Battle Chateau to try and earn the Grand Duchess rank." replied Charlotte. "After that, I'm going to travel with Teddiursa just like we planned all those years ago."
"Awesome. I'll go to the Battle Chateau as soon as the Lumiose Conference is over." said Nazz. "Maybe I'll see you there."
"I hope so." replied Charlotte. Later after Nazz met up with her friends, an annoncement was made that the semifinal matchups have been decided. A large monitor showed that Kevin will be facing Jonny while Rolf will be facing Nazz.
"We should've known we would end up facing one another." said Kevin.
"Well, I'm not holding back." said Jonny.
"Rolf will show no mercy." said Rolf.
The semifinal round matches have been decided. Who will emerge victorious? Find out.
