Chapter Eleven: A Heartfelt Rescue at The Outlands Volcano

They finally reached the den of the Outlands Volcano. Entering the den, they were met with a chilling sight: Bongo pinned by his tail on a rock ledge that hung precariously over the burning lava, with Janja holding him captive with a cruel grin on his face.

Janja: "Well, well, well. If it isn't The Lion Guard and Jasiri." He sneered. Bongo whimpered in fear, trying to pull his tail from Janja's grasp.

Janja: "Hey Fuli, don't you remember this? This is where I dropped Bongo into the lava the first time! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" He taunted.

Fuli experienced a chilling sense of déjá vu, flashbacks of that terrifying moment playing in her mind.

Flashback:

Janja: "You have two choices, Fuli; you can either stop me or see your friend suffer a terrible fate." His voice echoed in her memory.

The next flashback was even worse, Janja dropping Bongo into the lava.

Fuli: "NO!" Her voice echoed in the flashback.

End of Flashback

Fuli: "Janja, let Bongo go!" She shouted, snapping her back to reality. Her eyes now blazed with determination.

Janja: "What are you going to do about it, if I don't?" He grinned menacingly. Suddenly, hyenas emerged from every direction, surrounding them.

Kion: "Don't worry, Fuli. We'll save Bongo… together!" He reassured her.

She nodded, steeling herself.

Kion: "Janja, I'm only going to say this once! Let Bongo go!" He faced Janja.

Janja: "Never!" He spat back.

Fuli: *growls fiercely* She growled.

Janja: "Alright boys, defeat The Lion Guard!" He commanded. The hyenas charged towards The Lion Guard and Jasiri.

Kion: "Lion Guard, attack!" He ordered.

They all charged at the hyenas to fight them. As the Guard fought off the hyenas, Fuli and Jasiri raced over to save Bongo, but Cheezi and Chungu blocked their path.

Fuli: "Cheezi, Chungu…" She growled.

Jasiri: "Move out of the way!" She demanded.

Cheezi: "Nah. Janja told us to keep you two busy." He said smugly.

Chungu: "Yeah, and there's nothing you can do to make us move." He added.

Fuli and Jasiri exchanged a quick glance before tackling them both, knocking them down.

Fuli: "Looks like we both just tackled you." She said with a smirk.

Jasiri: "Hehe, you said it, Fuli." She laughed.

Cheezi: "Well, we're still not moving." He insisted.

Chungu: "Yeah." He echoed.

Fuli and Jasiri exchanged mischievous grins.

Fuli: "Hey, Jasiri. Do you know how we can get Cheezi and Chungu to move?" She asked.

Jasiri: "Yeah, I think we should eat them." She replied.

Fuli: "Great idea." She bared her teeth.

Cheezi: "No, please don't eat us!" He cried.

Chungu: "We promise we taste bad." He added, trembling. Scared, they ran away.

Jasiri: "Well, that got them to move." She said, amused.

Fuli: "Hehe, that was so funny seeing them scared and running away." She laughed.

Jasiri: "Yeah, it was." She agreed.

Fuli: "Now, let's go save Bongo." She said determinedly.

Jasiri: "Right." She nodded. They both ran toward the rock ledge.

Janja:"Ah, Fuli, Jasiri. So glad you both made it." He sneered, still pinning Bongo's tail.

Fuli: *snarls* She snarled angrily

Jasiri: *growls* She growled.

Janja: "If you two come any closer, I promise I will drop Bongo into the lava." He threatened, which made Bongo whimper in fear.

Fuli: "Bongo, you're going to be okay." She reassured him.

Jasiri: "We are going to save you," She added.

Bongo trusted them and tried to stay calm.

Fuli: "Janja, we're both going to stop you." She declared.

Jasiri: "And save Bongo." She finished.

Janja: "Oh, I don't think so. Besides, how are you going to stop me… when you both can't see!" He taunted, before throwing burning embers into their eyes.

Fuli: "Agh! My eyes!" She cried out.

Jasiri: "It burns!" She yelped.

They both rubbed their eyes, and Janja charged, pushing them back, causing them to tumble down the rocky path.

Kion: "Fuli, Jasiri, are you both okay?" He called out.

Jasiri: "We're okay." She responded.

Fuli: "We just got something burning in our eyes." She added.

Janja: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha! It's over, Lion Guard! I've finally won!" He laughed maniacally.

Bongo tried desperately to pull his tail out of Janja's grasp, but he couldn't.

Janja: "Hey Fuli, now that you and your friends are here!" He taunted.

Fuli: "No, not again." She muttered, knowing what was going to happen next.

Kion: "Janja, you better not do what I think you're about to do!" He warned.

Janja: "Oh, I am!" He confirmed.

Jasiri: "No, Janja, don't do this!" She pleaded.

Janja: "I'm sorry, Jasiri. But now… you can all witness Bongo… FALL!" He shouted, releasing Bongo's tail and pushing him off the rock ledge.

Kion, Bunga, Ono, Beshte, and Jasiri: "NOOOOOOO!" They all screamed, as Bongo fell into the lava.

Dramatic slow motion plays in the scene, with sounds fading.

Kion, Bunga, Ono, Beshte and Jasiri with their mouths open in shock silently screaming, watching in horror. Fuli starts having a panic attack.

Fuli: *heartbeat* *heartbeat* "No." She said softly, her heart pounded as she watched her best friend fall once more into lava.

Fuli: *breathing heavily* She starts hyperventilating.

*heartbeat* *breathing heavily* heartbeat* *breathing heavily* Flashbacks of Bongo falling into the lava replayed in her mind over and over, then it speeds up progressively. Until she shook her head, regaining her senses.

Fuli: "No! I will never let you fall into lava ever again!" She shouted with determination, snapping back to the present.

With anger and determination in her eyes, Fuli took extreme measures; she ran towards the cliff and jumped in after Bongo to save him.

Bunga, Ono, and Beshte: "FULI, NOO!" They shouted in unison.

Kion: "Ono, catch Fuli!" He ordered.

Ono: "RIght!" He said, as he dived into the fiery abyss, catching Fuli with his talons while she held onto Bongo.

Ono: "I've got you, Fuli." He said.

Fuli: "And I've got you, Bongo." She assured, holding him tightly. Bongo cried into her fur. Then Ono brought both of them back to safe ground.

Janja: "Oh, come on! How did my plan fail again?!" He exclaimed in frustration.

Kion: "Nice save, Ono," He praised him

Ono: "Thanks, Kion," He responded.

Janja, now furious, ran towards Fuli to attack her.

Kion: "Fuli, look out!" He warned. Fuli saw Janja coming and tackled him.

Fuli: *growls angrily* She growled.

Janja: "Hey, get off of me!" He struggled.

Kion: "It's over, Janja!" He declared.

Jasiri: "You will never hurt Bongo ever again!" She added.

Bongo: "Pbbbbbbbttttt." He blew raspberries at Janja.

Janja: "Alright, alright, I give up. Let's get out of here, boys." He conceded. He and his hyena clan ran away until they were out of sight.

Kion: "Fuli, you jumped into lava to save Bongo's life." He said, impressed.

Bunga: "That was un-Bunga-lievable! He cheered, jumping up high with his fist raised.

Ono: "That took a lot of guts, Fuli" He added.

Beshte: "You said it, Ono." He agreed.

Fuli: "Hehe, yeah. I wasn't going to let Bongo get hurt again." She said modestly, with a smile.

Kion: "Fuli, what you did was the bravest and most courageous thing you've ever done." He praised her.

Jasiri: "I agree." She added.

Fuli: "Thanks, Kion, Jasiri. I'm just glad Bongo's safe." She said with relief

Fuli: "Are you okay, Bongo?" She asked gently.

Bongo nodded, then with tears of his own, he gave her the biggest hug. Fuli with tears of her own, hugged him back, and then Kion, Bunga, Ono, Beshte, and Jasiri joined in the hug. Relief flooded over all of them, they were all happy that Bongo was unharmed and safe.
