After the sudden attack by the Autobots and the human AllSpark, Attinger now began to take over what's going on. Joshua met up with Attinger and some of the scientists as they head to the control room to get the KSI drones operational.
"This is our chance, we have to stop him. You have to stop him." Attinger ordered to Joyce, wanting him to get Motormaster out to go after Optimus and stop him at once.
Joyce, however, was against the idea of sending Motormaster or Stinger out to go after the Autobots onto public roads. "They've never been tested in the field. Labs, military bases, but not on civilian streets." He said to Attinger.
"He's right. Motormaster and Stinger haven't been tested out in the field." Scorcher agreed with Joyce. "They're not ready to operate."
Attinger glared back at them. "Down there, a Defense Department contract was just attacked in a terrorist attack. This is now a CIA military op. You're indemnified. Respond!" Attinger ordered at them sternly.
Joshua stopped, Scorcher hoping he'd not send out the two prototypes, but Joyce looked at Wembley to give the order to get the drones operating, the scientists now heading off to inform the others about what's going on as they enter the control room.
Attinger now tapped the Bluetooth in his ear. "KSI Chicago, closest live sat, patch it in. Been an unprovoked Autobot attack." He reported in.
"Bring up Motormaster." Joyce ordered forth to the robot controllers, who look to be in custom control suits and driving simulators.
"Transforming Motormaster." One controller informed.
"Motormaster coming online." The computer spoke out.
"Bring up Stinger." A second controller informed next.
"Stinger coming online." The computer said.
With their new commands and functions online, Motormaster and Stinger, the former now as a grey/black Freightliner Argosy cab-over truck and the latter as a red/black Pagani Hypercar, are released from KSI to pursue the Optimus and the rest of the Autobots.
Joyce looked at the screen. "Let's show these alien terrorists what an upgrade looks like." He announced.
Scorcher looked up at the main screen in concern, seeing the predator drones locking onto the Autobots signal down on the highway, with Motormaster's signal being seen and Stinger's now closing in on their position.
'Be safe, guys.' Scorcher thought to himself.
Out on the highway, Optimus and the Autobots were hightailing it down the highway as fast as their engines and wheels can carry them. They got a head start on KSI and Cemetery Wind, but they know that their lead won't last long.
Braedey sighed as he sat in Optimus' cab, fuming in frustration after what happened. "Ungrateful bastards. After everything the Autobots have done for them..." He felt the seatbelt tighten a little in response. As he looked ahead, Braedey could see two vehicles fast approaching. "Oh, scrap. We've got company."
"Autobots, we are being followed by KSI's man-made prototypes. Take evasive action only. Do not initiate attack." Optimus ordered over the Comms.
The large, grey Freightliner drove towards them in the opposite direction, with Stinger alongside it. The truck now swerved and it suddenly turned into thousands upon thousands of tiny cubes flying around as if they're like a swarm of bees before coming together to form into a 40ft tall robot, slamming into one truck in a fiery explosion, then slices through another car with the blade on the elbow of its arm, and slams its fist down on another car, sending the car flying.
'Oh, scrap.' Braedey thought mentally.
Motormaster, after causing some chaos, deployed its missile launcher from its right arm and fired a volley of missiles at the approaching Autobots. At once, they slam on their brakes and spun around 180, their tyres screeching in response, all of them beginning to head off in the opposite direction from the KSI robots.
"Autobots, fall back! Fall back!" Braedey yelled out.
"Don't have to tell us twice!" Knockout remarked as he spun back around. "Full throttle!"
Optimus put on a sudden burst of speed that forced Braedey back into his seat. The needle of the speedometer climbed past ninety, inching towards 110 miles per hour. Braedey looked over in Optimus' wing mirror and he saw the huge flat-nose truck getting closer and closer, the Pagani supercar following behind with a howl of its engine. The grey truck smashed through cars effortlessly, flipping them onto their roofs and sending them spinning like spin-top toys. Bumblebee and the other Autobots kept a tight formation behind Optimus with Bumblebee and Elita in the middle. Optimus' new engine had more horsepower than his old one, and he sped on forward without a strain strain or whine from his engine. The needle of the speedometer crept past 120, past 130 and settled on 140 miles per hour. Motormaster and Stinger kept up easily, no more than 200 yards behind them. The ground was rattled by explosion after explosion, black dust settling on Optimus' windows.
"We can't outrun them and there are too many civilians around to fight them. We will have to—" Before he could say anymore, Optimus, Optimus' words were cut off by a huge explosion.
"INCOMING!" Braedey yelled out.
A truck up ahead was struck by one of Motormaster's rockets. The blow caused it to jack-knife, its trailer rolling over, orange sparks jumping up off of the road. At the speed he was going, Optimus did not have enough room to come to a full stop. Bumblebee was right behind us, facing the same problem. Suddenly, the seat was no longer underneath Braedey, Optimus' cab no longer around him. They were airborne, Bumblebee in mid-transformation. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion as Bumblebee threw Henry and Daphne over to Optimus. Optimus opened one of his huge hands, wrapping all four fingers securely around Henry and Braedey. Optimus' other hand formed a protective barrier around Daphne as they flew through the air. He held the humans against his chest, using his body to shield them from the flying debris. He started to twist his body, moving Daphne into the hand that he held Henry and Braedey in, the father and daughter hugging each other. Optimus' other hand came up to shield them as they sailed over a bridge and straight through the trailer of a Marmon truck. As they crossed the bridge, Optimus folded himself back into a truck, tucking Braedey, Daphne and Henry harmlessly into his cab. Daphne was breathing hard, and Braedey's face and neck were wet with sweat.
Just behind them, Bumblebee caught his feet on the ledge of the bridge, arming two long rods loaded with missiles from his wrists. He fired them at Motormaster, catching him in the explosion, only for thousands upon thousands of tiny cubes to fly out flying together before coming together on the other side of the bridge to form the huge, flat-nosed truck that was Motormaster, who continued to chase after Optimus.
Bee dropped to the ground from the bridge after that, and retracted his mask in shock. "What was that?" He looked back and forth in bewilderment, unsure of what to do, but his thoughts were cut off as he heard the rumble of an aircraft overhead.
Inside of the KSI control room, everyone was having mixed feelings about what's been happening and with what Motormaster and Stinger are doing right at this moment, on top of the mayhem Motormaster was causing after malfunctioning and causing civilian casualties out on the highway. It was not a good sign for KSI with their public relations.
"We need a full medical team now. Possible civilian casualties." One controller informed over the radio.
Joyce looked at Attinger with a stern look. "I mean, you got a lot of people in the crossfire here. I don't like..."
Attinger scoffed at Joyce and what he's saying. "You're making history here. For your country, for the world. Human freedom is at stake. Innocent people die all the time." He said, his paranoia coming up.
Among those who weren't onboard with the idea of Motormaster was Scorcher, who began to leave the control room. He stopped as he realised that Braedey and the Autobots need all the help they can get to try and stop whatever KSI has planned.
'What does Attinger have planned? Why does he want Prime so badly that he'd risk innocent lives?' Scorcher thought to himself. 'There has to be a reason.' He stopped when he then spotted something on the radar.
"Mr. Joyce." Scorcher called, getting their attention. "There's something closing in on Optimus and Motormaster's positions."
Back to Optimus and the humans, they were still on the move, with Motormaster beginning to gain on them once more. Henry looked back to see the Freightliner trying to close in on their mark, while arming its missile pods to fire.
Braedey leaned forward in his seat, one hand on the steering wheel and the other on Daphne's knee. "C'mon, Optimus!" He then armed one of his own blasters from his arm, and began to fire back at the Freightliner, clearly having enough of it.
The speedometer needle began to creep steadily back up, inching past 100, 110 and settling on 120. More rockets soared past them, leaving behind the thick scent of industrial smoke. But then, a volley of energy blasts suddenly made Motormaster screech and judder to a halt, a wall of smoke now blocking its path as it turns around to face against the other Autobots.
Braedey looked back, seeing Motormaster stopping and their distance growing. "Huh. Wonder what made that truck stop..." He's then cut off when the screaming of jet engines could be heard up above, and he looked up to see what it was. When he saw it, his eyes widen in shock and horror. "No... it cannot be..."
Flying overhead was a dark purple Cybertronian jet, one armed with a huge orange cannon on top of it, and it was making a beeline for Optimus. It fired multiple blasts at the red/blue Western Star truck, forcing it to swerve left and right, the humans inside being knocked about as well, just as the craft suddenly launched a blast right at Optimus.
Suddenly, Braedey and Henry were thrown from their seats and straight through the open driver door as they cab started to shift for the second time. Daphne had no chance to say anything as Optimus obtained his robot mode, Daphne clutching in his left hand. Optimus landed on his back and opened his hand, Daphne rolling out of it onto the hard tarmac. He brought his legs over in a backwards roll, his right foot landing mere inches away from Daphne. The forced of his landing provided enough momentum for him to slide backwards along the road, one knee bent. Daphne rolled along violently underneath him until his right foot slammed into the front of an abandoned SUV, crumpling the bonnet like tinfoil. His huge head came down to look at the redhead.
"Stay down." Optimus didn't give Daphne time to answer, his battle mask sliding smoothly across his face and locking into place as he saw the craft fly into view, then break apart and transform into robot mode, the landing making a heavy impact in the ground.
Braedey, Optimus, Henry and Daphne all stare on in shock and horror by the Cybertronian that landed a few metres away from them. The Transformer stood 45ft tall in a dark purple and grey colour scheme. It has broad boxy shoulders of sorts with some kind of venting on them, the broad chest tapering down a narrow waist. It's fingers are sharp talon-shaped, the feet being boot-like, with two claw-like pieces on the front, and the back of the foot a heel-like structure, with the lower legs thickly armoured. A large and lethal looking fusion cannon is present on the right arm, taking the length of the lower arm, and the barrel extending down to being at the ankle. The helm takes the form of what appears to be a crown with three pointed spikes on top of the helm. The facial plate has a defined nose of sorts, with shark-like teeth, the optics being blood red, while the facial plate is scarred. In the centre of his chest is the Decepticon insignia.
"Megatron..." Optimus all but snarled under his mask, his blue optics narrowed.
"I am invincible. I am inevitable. I am GALVATRON!" The resurrected Decepticon warlord declared, and he charged forward, Optimus doing the same.
"DAPHNE!" Braedey yelled out.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, Motormaster was now fighting against the other Autobots, Elita taking point, Bumblebee confronting Stinger with Drift alongside him as the others take on the KSI drones.
"I hate this guy!" Bumblebee grunted as he backpedals from Stinger, then delivers a spinning kick to knock the KSI knockoff of him away.
"Allow me." Knockout runs in, performing a surprising suplex move, even arming a huge buzzsaw and delivers a spinning strike, damaging the armour across Stinger's chestplate before he retreats. "Odd..."
Back with Elita, an Energon blade shot out of her left forearm, going straight through the strange hole in the centre of Motormaster's chest, only for it to be ripped apart by the blades inside, then Motormaster grabbed the blade, snapping it like a toothpick.
"You have no soul!" Elita's voice is accusatory and fearful at the same time.
"That is why I have no fear! You die!" Motormaster spoke, much to Elita's surprise. His voice shot ice straight up his spine. How in the world could he talk if he was man-made? Maybe KSI was somehow speaking for him, or through him. She was taken aback by this, leaving her exposed as she got decked across the chestplate and knocked her down.
Suddenly, the roar of a truck's engine was heard, and the red Ford pickup slammed into the side of Motormaster, knocking him down and away from Elita, the truck spinning around and transforming into its robot mode, to the surprise of Elita and Bumblebee.
It is a 33ft tall Autobot, sporting a red/black colour scheme, with broad shoulders and with a bulky yet toughened chest, with the front fenders, bull bar, and windshield on the front chestplate, a set of off-road tyres behind the shoulders and tucked in slightly, while the legs are lean yet tough in armour, the feet looking to be shaped like boots, while the 2nd set of tyres are on the heels, while there are a pair of large cannons on the forearms. The helm looked to be that of a tough helmet in red, with blue optics, and a grey facial plate with a toughened chin.
"I-I-Ironhide?" Elita stuttered in shock.
"He's alive!" Bee cheered.
"You feel lucky, punk?" Ironhide mused at Motormaster.
Ironhide armed both his cannons and opened fire on Motormaster, but then performs a hulk-like jump, leaping above and firing his cannons from above and behind, knocking down Motormaster and allowing Elita to execute a butterfly kick, knocking the KSI drone down before it changes into its Freightliner truck mode and drives away.
"Welcome back, partner." Hound greeted, he and Ironhide sharing a fist-bump.
"Ironhide. H-How are you alive?" Elita now asked in awe.
"No time to talk. Prime needs help and fast." Ironhide said to the other Autobots. "Let's roll."
"I'm with you, especially with Braedey in the crossfire." Elita agreed with Ironhide, the others shifting into vehicle mode to get to the scene as fast as possible.
Further down the road, Optimus and Galvatron were now locked in a fight about 200 yards away from the humans. Galvatron caught Optimus' jaw with a fierce upper-cut, sending him in a perfect 180 arc which resulted in him landing flat on his back. In less time it took for one to draw a panicked breath into my lungs, Optimus was back on his feet and charging at Galvatron. The sound of their colliding bodies sounded like a demolition derby.
Braedey emerged from behind another abandoned vehicle, cupping his hands to his mouth. "Daphne! Run for the field!" His words barely reached the redhead over the deafening cacophony of metal against metal.
Daphne made a run for the field right next to the now deserted highway. Just as she made it down the steep bank, the two robots rolled on the ground right next to her, Galvatron slamming Optimus' shoulders into the grass. The concussions in the ground were strong enough to knock Daphne off her feet. She rolled the rest of the way down the grassy bank, only just avoiding Galvatron's curled fist. Optimus, now back in control, grabbed Galvatron's shoulders and hauled him to his feet. An orange Energon blade shot out of Optimus' right forearm, only for Galvatron to grab it and suddenly snapped it like a toothpick, the blade falling and stabbing into the ground.
"Time and time again, we do this battle." Optimus grunted as he delivered a strike to Galvatron, who spun around on his heel to dodge the attack.
"Only this time, only one of us will survive!" Galvatron declared, the obvious look in his optics like that of Megatron's. "YOU DIE!"
Galvatron grabbed Optimus' arm and threw him in Daphne's direction. He twisted gracefully in the air, using his severed blade to come to a halt as he landed on a bent knee. Daphne scrambled out of the way of the fighting titans as their tumbling bodies tore up the ground like paper. She ended up back behind the SUV as Optimus slammed Galvatron into the tarmac, rocking the car on its wheels.
Suddenly, a low whistling sound filled everyone's ears, followed by another rocket – no, a missile that sped overhead. Braedey looked over, as did Henry and Daphne, as Optimus uttered a low, pained grunt. His shoulder had been struck by the missile, his armour dented and jagged. The others also look forth in the direction the Autobot leader was looking at, and they thought they felt their blood run cold.
There was a large Cybertronian spaceship hovering a few hundred feet above the ground, while a large black cloud surrounded it. The vessel looks to be over 300 feet wide, 210 feet tall, and 400 feet long, with 6 large engines on back, and 25 smaller engines on bottom.
But, the major eyecatcher is the Decepticon bounty hunter himself walking towards them. Lockdown.
Galvatron now got up with a snarl, transformed into jet mode and he flew away with a sonic boom. With the black Decepticon, his facial plate seems to reconstruct and alter in shape and form, all the while with him walking straight ahead, all of it now transforming into some kind of humongous sniper rifle. With a single blast, a second missile buzzed through the air, this time striking Optimus squarely in the chest. Optimus fell to the ground, his head smacking onto the SUV's destroyed bonnet.
"DAPHNE!" Braedey ran forward to get her, but then he gets tackled by Henry. "No! Let me go!"
"He'll kill you! Stay down!" Henry said, keeping Braedey down for as long as he can.
Daphne climbed into the car. Tears stung the back of her eyes. "Optimus, get up! Please, you have to get up!" She pleaded.
Optimus struggled to roll his head back to meet her gaze. "Argh... I can't. Get out of here!" But Daphne couldn't. She was now too scared to move.
Lockdown drew closer, kneeling down at Optimus' feet. "I feel sorry for you, Prime. Your allegiance to these humans. The trouble with loyalty to the cause, is that the cause will always betray you."
"Who sent you here?" Optimus' voice was laced with static, struggling to lift his head off the car to glare at Lockdown.
"We all work for someone." Lockdown got to his feet, his mask coming down to completely cover his facial plate.
A smaller dropship vessel detached from the underside of the huge space up, coming to hover directly over Optimus and the SUV that Daphne was taking refuge in. A huge net was fired from it, completely covering Optimus and the car. Daphne started to panic as they were lifted from the ground. Optimus tried to twist around, but all he succeeded in doing was draping a long arm over the car.
Braedey managed to push gently off and sprinted like mad towards them. "DAPHNE! OPTIMUS!" Braedey immediately ran forth and grabbed onto the net, seeing daphne in the car.
"Daddy! Let go!" Daphne shouted.
"NO! I'm not losing you!" Braedey yelled back with defiance.
"Daddy! They'll find you! You'll have to save me another way!" Daphne yelled back.
Braedey struggled to hold on, looking at his daughter for one more time, but his hands finally slipped and he plummeted to the ground, rolling to absorb the impact of the landing. He looked up at the ship one more time, looking at Optimus and his daughter.
"Braedey, warn the Autobots!" Optimus yelled as the fighter then flies off after Lockdown's ship.
Braedey grits his teeth and slammed his fists into the ground. "NOOOOOO!" He bellowed, his voice echoing.
Braedey looked up as the ship began to disappear into the clouds before tapping his internal Comms online. He was going to get back Optimus Prime and his daughter Daphne, and not matter the cost...
