Lost in Space: "Wanted Man…"
Summary: Smith's past…And the Space Tribunal catch up with him.
Stranded once again due to needed repairs on an unknown planet in a star system far from Earth (or Alpha Centauri), the Robinson, Major West, Dr. Smith, and the Robot are about to encounter an old foe. Several, actually.
Part 14…
"Don…" John and Will, the Robot and Sagramore coming up behind, rushing to the fallen Don…
"Uhhh…" Don groans.
"You all right?" John helping him up.
"Still in one piece, but your wife's handy with a laser. Farnum and Smith…"groan. "Probably enjoyed that one…Of all the bright ideas…" rueful smile.
"Farnum and Smith…?" John asks.
"I only hope it was…" Don begins.
"Mom!" Will cries, spying the fallen Maureen, running to her.
"I'm ok." Don nods to John, he then hurrying to Maureen, Will kneeling by her
"Maureen…" John, gently as she groans.
"Miss Judy is over there…" the Robot points. Sagramore, followed by Don, hurrying over.
"Dr. Smith…" Verda, suddenly rising from where she'd fallen. "Where is Dr. Smith?!" urgently.
"Like to know that myself." John, shaking head. Holding Maureen's hand…
"Zachary?" Maureen eyes him. "Is he gone…?"

Farnum B's starship, in very high orbit…
"Well, welcome aboard, my dears." Farnum, grandly, waving arms.
"Ah, yes…I remember…" Smith looks round. "You had us as exhibits here."
"Till you and my apprentice Ahgo took over for a time." Farnum notes.
Penny, stern look, waving pistol. "Mr. Farnum, get us away from here. Now!"
"Now, dear…" Smith shaking head.
"Young lady, this is my vessel…" Farnum begins. Penny pointing…
"Yes…And your gun, I see that." He nods. "Very well, a moment." Moving to the middle of the room, waving arms...
A series of holographic controls appear…
"Ohhh…" Nancy Pi-Square looks up from where she'd materialized.
"All right, my girl?" Farnum calls over.
"What happened?" she looks round…Spying Smith. "Oh, Dr. Smith, you're all right!" beaming.
"And all mine…" Penny grimly. "Stay where you are. I promised Mr. Farnum to bring you aboard, but not that I wouldn't stun or kill you here."
"Hello…Powering up." The female robot from where she'd materialized. "We are all all right. That is nice." Cheery voice. "Hello, Dr. Smith. Would you like to register and name me, now?"
"I'm afraid…" Farnum, scanning controls. "The Tribunal's field is blocking hyperspace departure and we are being hailed to surrender. I've put up our force field shields but several large Confederation ships are approaching, they may be able to overcome us."
"You've gotta get us out of here! I'll shoot your friend!" Penny insists.
"We did bring the lady robot along for a reason, my dear…" Farnum notes.
"Dr. Smith can't be taken!" Nancy cries. "Use the robot, Farnum."
"Oh, that's Dr. Smith's role, dear girl." Farnum eyes Smith.
"The moment you can…!"Smith begins, turning to the robot.
"Stop!" Penny cries. "I know you, Dr. Smith. Turn her off, now!"
"But we can't save Zachary without her, you silly human!"Nancy anxiously.
"It's a trick! Turn her off!" Penny, pointing laser at Farnum. "First, him, then you, even you, Dr. Smith!"
"Power down, my dear. Sorry." Smith tells the female robot.
"Yes, Dr. Smith. Don't forget to register me. You could call me Zacharia, that's a nice name." the female robot powers down.
"Silly girl! We're helpless now!"Nancy cries.
("What do your memory banks suggest? Will the Confederation blast them out of space as a precaution? Meaning we should get outta here. Or just board and kill them?" Zalto asks the puppet robot as they observe, hidden. "Standard procedure is to minimize risk to the Galaxy." The puppet replies. "Dang…I hate to leave before the final bloodbath. Well, you stay and I'll observe from our ship."
"It sucks big time to be a servomechanism at times like these." The puppet sighs, as Zalto transports away.)

On the surface…Don shakes head.
"I'm sorry John, the laser had no effect on her. Verda got clean away."
John sighing, nodding. "Well, her attention's on Smith. She's not interested in freeing Maureen and Judy. She's gotta be headed for her own ship."
"I'm sorry I had to shoot you, Don." Maureen sighs. "But…"
"Yeah, yeah…I know. Anything for Dr. Smith." Don shakes head.
"You have to let us go to him!" Judy pleads. "Dad?! Please!"
"No, Judy. You're not going anywhere."
"It's pointless to try and hold us, John." Maureen eyes him. "I don't love you anymore, Judy and I will just keep trying to escape. Let us go and be with Zachary."
"Mom…" Will sighs.
"Don…If you care for me at all…?" Judy, a bit coyly. "Get me to Dr. Smith?"
"Sorry, Judy. No. Not even if I could."
"You never loved me!"she cries. "I know that!"
"Will…Go help Sir Sagramore with his analysis." John tells him. "Robot, stay with Judy. Don't let her or Mrs. Robinson go anywhere, whatever you have to do, without serious harm."
"They're going to hurt me, Will! Help me!" Maureen tries.
Will sighing, turns away to head to Sir Sagramore…
"Don't worry my boy…" Sagramore, kindly. "We'll free them from their enchantment. They really don't know what they're saying."
"I know…" Will shakes head.

"Should have let her shoot me and have the machine girl stun her…" Farnum hisses to Smith now standing beside him.
"I was afraid she'd shoot to kill to impress me." Smith replies.
"Why, Dr. Smith? Thank you."
"Then there'd only be Miss Pi-Square to control the ship. And she'd be fighting with Penny."
"Indeed." Farnum frowns.
"We have to do something…" Nancy tells Penny. "The other ships will be in firing range in moments."
"If I have Dr. Smith reactivate the robot, she'll stun me." Penny replies.
"But doesn't he want to go to Earth?" Nancy suggests.
"He lied to get Mom and Judy safe. He could've had the lady robot stun or kill everyone earlier. He's trying to live up to his Redemption. It's so sweet, like the time he saved me." Penny beams. "I hope I don't have to kill him to have him." She sighs.
"Over my dead body, you little…" Nancy glared. But halted as Penny aims pistol. "Don't stun me again, you need me!"
"That's the only reason I don't." Penny nods.
"Attention!" overhead voice. "This is Galactic Confederation Enforcer Cruiser X1Z7. Drop your force field and surrender or we will destroy you!"
"Oh, the pain…" Smith sighs. "To think I had to choose the path of Redemption."
"Get us out of here, Farnum!" Nancy cries. "Try emergency hyperjump!"
"What? Be…Hopelessly…Lost in Space?" Farnum, eyeing us smugly.
"Oh…Not again…" Smith groans.
