When he came back to reality, Naruto closed his eyes and lowered his head in respect.

"I'm going to miss you so much, Mrs. Faye..." He mumbled with his hands balled into fists and then stopped when he opened his eyes again. "I promise to protect Atreus and Mr. Kratos." He formed a determined look that reflected like the fire of an Amaterasu.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice that the flames had finished consuming the Jötun's body... What brought him out of this state was a loud noise behind the hut (in the direction of mother's garden) and a few seconds later two familiar people appeared.

"What happened...?" asked Naruto with his gaze on his older brother and father's clothes that were covered in dirt and blood, but he was reassured to see that it wasn't their blood. "Maybe I should have sent a shadow clone just in case..." He thought with a frown for having been so careless, from this moment on he promised himself not to make the same mistake again.

Kratos only grunted in response and walked towards the door of the hut, it was obvious that he was upset about something.

"Fire troll..." whispered Atreus intending for their father not to hear them, but the opposite happened.

Naruto nodded his head because that explained the dirt along with the blood his older brother and father had on their bodies... he was actually relieved that both his father and older brother didn't suffer serious injuries because that kind of creature is strong.

"Stop talking, Atreus, Naruto. Get in the house," Kratos ordered with a growl at the end of his words.

The half-giant-god boy reluctantly entered the house into the hut and Naruto followed close behind because he wanted to give his father some time alone to collect mother's ashes (and also say goodbye) in a leather bag.

"No fair... I'm ready..." muttered Atreus angrily and sadly as he sat down on his bed.

Naruto didn't say anything because he didn't want to aggravate his older brother's anger/sadness.

"You lost control."

Both Atreus and Naruto watched their father enter the hut with a stern expression.

"That... thing tried to kill us, father," Atreus said as if his words were the whole truth. "Besides, you say it like you don't get angry in a fight..." he finished with his gaze on the wooden floor.

Naruto stood by his bedside in complete silence, maybe in his other life he would have jumped in with an off-handed comment and ended up with a punch from Sakura sending him into a wall... thanks to Kami-sama that ended.

"Anger can be a weapon. But only if you control it can you use it," Kratos stated wisely. "Obviously that's not your case, Atreus," he added with a hint of disappointment in his tone of voice.

The half-god/giant boy was silent not knowing what to say at those words, but he was also angered and saddened by those last words of his father.

"But I've been healthy for a long time. Now I am healthy," Atreus assured without hesitation.

Naruto together with the ancient Greek god reacted almost the same way to Atreus' words. They were both worried because Atreus' illness had kept him in bed almost every day.

"Well..." Kratos paused slightly to kneel in front of his eldest son and at the same time raised his hands in front of him. "Come on," he said with open palms ready to take the child's blows.

Both the half-god/giant boy and Naruto were surprised by their father's action, one more than the other.

"Do you want me to hit you...?" asked Atreus with an expression that made it clear he wasn't very convinced.

The ancient Greek god nodded his head.

"I want you to try," Kratos replied simply, but there was also a kind of challenge in his tone of voice.

Atreus accepted his father's challenge and moved his right fist to strike the hand, but he couldn't even achieve his goal because his father easily stopped him by hitting him with his palm. They were like that for a long time.

Naruto stopped watching them after he felt a disturbance in the surroundings of the hut, it was somewhat far from their position, but it was approaching very fast.

"Mr. Kratos...big brother...something...something big is coming this way."

Both the half-god/giant boy and the ancient Greek god stopped what they were doing and instead looked up at the ceiling silently with anticipation. Not a second later something large in size flew over the hut and made a hellish noise.

"What was that?" asked Atreus rather alarmed at the loud noises outside of a large monster.

Naruto looked at his older brother and said 'giant flying lizard' causing him to look at him confused, but when he understood he swallowed saliva.

"Silence." Kratos ordered with his stoic tone, but he also prepared himself even more from the possible attack of the creature and also looked towards the secret hiding place for his two sons to enter to be safe.

Our beloved protagonist stopped looking at the ceiling and this time focused his gaze on the door of the house, he prepared himself for a possible confrontation because if he had to fight to protect his family he would do it without hesitation.

Omake 3

A 6 year old Naruto took several breaths for the next thing he would do because it required concentration and a lot of Chakra on his part.

"I hope it works..."

He formed a series of hand signs and then rested his right hand on the wet, snow-covered ground, but nothing happened that he thought would happen so eagerly.

"It's obvious it wouldn't work... I'm an idiot..."

Naruto lowered his head hiding the tears that escaped from his eyes because he knew he was alone, the only Chakra user in this new world where he got to live.
