Izuku Midoriya was in class first thing that morning, he was given a free breakfast, but that didn't help to brighten his mood. He was still there.

Why couldn't he leave? It should be the easiest thing in the world. Tell them he quits and they'll let him out. Someone else would get his spot and he could live on in his mediocre life. He wouldn't be put in nearly as many dangerous situations in a normal school. All he had to do was tell a single person.

He psyched himself up. He'll do it, he had to. This was his one chance. He got out of his seat and walked to the door.

Mina Ashido threw the door open. "Hey, Midoriya!"

Izuku jumped and screamed. He shielded himself with his arms.

Ashido laughed, "You scream like a girl." That was hurtful, Izuku walked to his seat and put his head down. He'll never be able to quit.

"Aw, man. It was just a joke." Ashido walked to his desk and leaned on it. "If it hurt so much then I'm sorry. I tend to act without thinking." She rubbed the back of her head with a bashful grin.

He should be sorry. He didn't realize that someone from a quirkless world would be surprised by someone who's bright pink. He tried but his mouth wouldn't open.

Ashido looked at his hair for an extended time. "I just realized. Your hair is green, but it wasn't yesterday."

Izuku's heartbeat quickened, if she finds out his quirk she'll want to know more about it. He'll have to talk to her more.

She shrugged. "Oh well, I guess I didn't notice yesterday." Izuku quietly thanked god. Ashido wrote something on a piece of paper and put it on his desk. "We should hang some time. Call me." She walked to her seat.

Izuku didn't know what to think. Why would she give him her number? He said nothing at all. He took the number and pocketed it. If only to text her an apology.

The rest of the class soon filed in. Everyone took notice of Midoriya, but nobody said a thing. Aizawa went in too and started homeroom. Izuku was able to relax for a little while. At least as much as he was able to.

High school was just like Middle school. They learned different subjects each period, took notes, and moved on. There was one saving grace, he didn't have to introduce himself or his quirk. He could run under the radar until he somehow quit the school.

One thing that set U.A. apart from the other schools was the teachers. They were all well-known heroes. This didn't help because he'd seen all of them punch someone in the face. He found it hard to look at them in the eye, let alone say he wanted to quit the school.

After a while, they had lunch, which was also the same. He stayed behind and ate the stuff he brought from home because eating with others gave him anxiety. The only thing of note that happened was Aoyama also staying behind.

The only reason Izuku knew the Frenchman's name wasn't because they met in another world. It's because he constantly introduced himself in the loudest way possible. Izuku was glad he didn't introduce himself to him, he didn't think they'd get along.

The class eventually started again, but no teachers had come in yet. This was bad for Izuku because this could lead to them talking.

"I am!" Oh no, it was All Might. "Comping through the door like a normal person!" He was hanging on the door frame. His giant smile lit up the room.

"It's All Might!"

"He's a teacher?"

All Might walked to the stand and struck a pose. "Hello, future heroes! It's time to begin your training!" He put up a sign that said 'Battle.' "The first step is the foundation of a hero, battle training."

"Finally," said Kaachan in a low growl. Izuku felt his heartrate go up.

"They say the clothes make the pros." All Might was waiting for them at a large fake city. "And you all prove it."

Everyone's costume was pretty good. All except for Izuku's, he didn't make a costume and was in the gym uniform. He tried making one, but it was terrible. His mom also made one, but it was embarrassing. He was such a disappointment, she must hate him.

Nobody talked to him in the locker room, they were busy comparing muscles. Izuku changed quickly before leaving, he didn't want them to see his smaller frame.

"Is that your costume?" Ashido was wearing a colorful spandex suit with boots and a domino mask. She was smiling, trying to hold back her laughter.

Izuku tried talking, and he failed.

"Listen up! It's time to begin the exercise!" All Might got everyone's attention. He took out a set of notecards and flipped through them. "You will be split into two teams. Heroes and villains. The villains will be protecting a bomb and the heroes will try to stop them. Are there any questions?" Everybody started yelling out their questions. "Wait, one at a time, please!"

Minutes of answering questions passed before they started. All Might brought out a box with a hole in it. "Everybody grab a piece of paper! People with the same letter are paired up."

Izuku got one last, it had the letter J on it. He couldn't ask anybody if they also had J because he was too scared to talk to anybody.

"Do you have J?" Uraraka tapped his shoulder. He jumped in pure terror. "I mean, you're the only one without a partner." Izuku looked around, she was right. He nodded meekly. "Great! I can't wait to work with you!"

"Let's start for real!" All Might had two boxes. One was labeled 'villains' and the other had 'heroes' written on it. He pulled out a ball from each.

Izuku's heart sank. He knew he had to go at some point, but not this early. His team was the villains.

"Aw man, I don't want to be a villain." Uraraka was feigning sadness. She wasn't taking this completely seriously.

"The four of you stay here as we go to the observation room." All Might led the class through a door.

This left Izuku's team with the heroes they were going against. It was Todoroki and a small guy with grapes for hair. This made Izuku's heart race, it was a worst-case scenario.

Izuku and Uraraka were next to the fake explosive. They were planning their strategy.

"I could keep the bomb away from them if they get up here. I can make things weightless by touching them." Uraraka showed it off by balancing the bomb on one finger. "Do you have any ideas?" He didn't. She put the bomb down. She had a strained look on her face. "We need to make a foolproof plan. We're going against Todoroki, he's the strongest in the class."

Izuku never saw this Todoroki use his quirk, but he believed her. Every other Todoroki he met was very strong. Way too many of them bullied him, he also had a twin sister sometimes.

"Uh, I..." Izuku needed to talk, he couldn't be silent forever. "I'll try to stop them." He had no idea how, but he needed to try.

"Are you sure? It could be dangerous if you go alone." Izuku pointed at the bomb, it was floating in the air at the corner of the room. "Right, I guard the bomb, and you fight. Great plan!" She gave two thumbs up.

"And begin!" All Might talked into their earpieces.

"Go, Midoriya! I believe in you!"He left the room and made his way down the stairs.

Surrendering was an idea, but he'd feel bad about letting Uraraka down. He also didn't want to reveal his quirk, and getting into a fight would guarantee he'd need to tell everyone about it. That means talking to people.

Izuku was outside, a large icicle was coming at him. He jumped out of the way. He landed on a grass field. He stayed on the floor.

He was in another world again. He must've been attacked without realizing it. He didn't want to get up, facing the world would be too painful.

"Izumi, what are you doing?" Alternate Todoroki was above Izuku. He called him the wrong name, which was extremely common. "Get up." He did as he was told.

The other Todoroki backed up, he made the air slightly colder. He had fully white hair and didn't have a scar. "Who are you? Why do you look like my sister?"

It was easy to see what happened. He was in a world with a female Izuku who was also related to Todoroki. They were most likely twins with the female Izuku getting the fire part of their ice and fire duo. Izuku saw it once before with them being his bullies. Most of the other times have them with the fire and ice sides swapped.

"I don't know," Izuku hastily said. He put on a facade of someone more confident, a crafted persona who wouldn't be killed in a second. "I was just having a normal day and suddenly I'm here."

"I don't believe you."

"It doesn't matter. Your sister would be back in just a little bit." It depended on how she fought with the main Todoroki. The faster that fight ended, the sooner he'll be back.

"If you're so confused, how do you know she'll be back soon." He didn't think of that, why did he never tell the truth at first?

"I get it. I understand you." Izuku stood. Todoroki backed up, making the air colder. Their breath became white puffs of frozen air. Izuku backed up slowly. He turned and ran as fast as he could.

He made it almost two steps before he was frozen in a large icicle. It covered his entire body, it was so cold. He couldn't breathe, or move, and his vision was fading slowly.

He fell to the ground. "Villain team wins!" All Might yelled into his ear.

It was much warmer. Izuku could breathe and move again. He was back in the training area. He got up slowly.

Todoroki was on the floor in front of him, he was unconscious. A couple of robots picked him up and took him away. The grape guy was there as well, he was wrapped in a lot of tape and stuck to the wall. He had a nosebleed and a stupid grin.

Izuku walked outside, and Uraraka greeted him. "You did it! I knew you could." She hugged him. Izuku didn't like it, she was too close. He kept his arms far from her body. They left for the observation room.

They greeted them as they arrived. "How did you do that?" "That was insane!" "Did you turn into a girl?" So many words came at him at once. It was a little overwhelming.

All Might clapped, getting everyone's attention. "That was an exciting match! Now, who do you think is the MVP of the match?"

"It must've been Midoriya. He won the match," said Uraraka.

"Yes, but why?"

"I can explain." Yaoyorozu put her hand up. "Midoriya used Todoroki's weakness. He figured out he'd only use ice in the match and used fire against him. He was also able to beat Mineta by..." She stopped for a while. "I'm sorry, but I can't tell what happened."

"That's correct! I also couldn't tell what happened! Midoriya, could you please explain your plan?" All Might was not being helpful.

They were all looking at him, he didn't say a thing. He was shaking from pure terror.

"Hey, he doesn't have to explain his plan." Ashido stood in front of him. "If you can't tell what it was then it was far too complicated for you to get." She looked back at him and winked. At least she was on his side.

"That's alright!" All Might have him a thumbs up. "If you don't want to explain, you don't have to!"

The rest of the matches went without a hitch. Everybody was impressive and they left Izuku alone. But he felt a dark presence on him the entire time.
