Enjoy!

A month later, Chloe blasts her music on her boom box while excitedly packing for her trip. Somehow her job is okay with her leaving for Spring Break and Chloe is overly excited to room with Anna and Amanda and may just sneak off at least once with Kyle while in Atlanta. Hearing a knock at her door, Chloe calls for whoever it is to come in.

"You've got everything?" Scully asks as she enters her daughter's room. Checking over the list she makes based on the itinerary, Chloe answers as she throws in a pair of socks, "Yep!"

"You're sure?" Scully checks again trying to figure out the best way to slip a tracker into her daughter's belongings. Rolling her eyes, Chloe answers, "Yes, Mom. I've got everything. You act like I'm totally incapable of packing my own clothes."

"I just want to make sure you have everything," Scully answers trying not to lose her temper at her daughter's tone. Leaving the room, Scully heads to the kitchen where Mulder is feeding Audrey in her high chair. Spotting his girlfriend when she comes in, Mulder asks how the packing goes. With a sigh, Scully answers, "Fine. She's blasting music and refuses to use my help."

With a laugh, Mulder asks, "It wasn't N*SYNC again was it?"

Shrugging, Scully replies as she grabs a glass of water, "No idea. I wasn't paying attention. I was trying to figure out a way to give her that key chain tracker."

"Want me to clip it to her backpack before she leaves?" Mulder asks. Shaking her head, Scully replies, "No. It was my present from you, so I'll clip it to her backpack. Um, do we have something to keep on her person? I don't think she will have her backpack on her the entire time she is there."

Nodding, Mulder smiles a little too sure of himself. Rolling her eyes, Scully indulges her boyfriend's ego by asking what the other bugged item is. Sitting proudly, Mulder announces, "I got her a necklace!"

"Mulder," Scully practically groans expecting some sort of alien necklace or something he found at Graceland years ago. Nodding toward his jacket on the hook by the door, Mulder tells Scully to look in his left side pocket. Opening a rectangular box, Scully announces, "Mulder, she'll love it!"

Grinning, Mulder takes the box that Scully hands him and puts it back in his pocket. Standing, he kisses Scully on the cheek and tells her he is going to give Chloe the locket. Knocking on her door, Mulder asks his daughter if he can come in. Turning down her music, Chloe answers, "Yeah. Come in."

Surprised his daughter's room is actually fairly clean, Mulder holds his tongue not to ruin the moment. Instead, he asks, "You got everything?"

"All set," Chloe excitedly answers. "And it all fit!"

Laughing, Mulder jokes, "I can see that. Um, but I think there's one last thing you forgot to pack?"

With a raised eyebrow from his daughter, Mulder hands her the box. Curiously, Chloe takes it. Opening the box she is given Chloe looks at the necklace astounded at how well thought out it is. A silver chain holding a small locket with two pictures on either side, one with Chloe and Mulder and the other with Chloe and Scully.

"I wanted you to have it before your trip," Mulder remarks sheepishly. Hugging her father tight, Chloe thanks him excited to put the jewelery on. Placing the necklace around his daughter's neck, Mulder steps back and marvels at how grown up his daughter is, but also how young. He worries about what will happen while she is gone. Selfishly he hopes something happens to him, sure Scully and Chloe could survive without him.

The next day, Mulder and Scully make sure to see their daughter off with the group.

"Be careful," Mulder answers before hugging his daughter good-bye. He has been having this fear that something will happen to her for the last week and hopes it is all in his head. Scully is convinced he is just being over protective, teasing him every so often, but Mulder still makes sure his daughter has the necklace and key chain just in case. Seeing her parents leave, Chloe and the rest of the students pile into the bus excited for their trip. Sitting next to her boyfriend with Anna and her boyfriend Josh in front of them, the couples talk and tell stories for a good hour until they lapse into comfortable silences. At some point, Chloe looks over to find a few kids toward the back of the bus having a contest to see who can cram the most cookies in their mouths. Getting her boyfriend's attention, Kyle looks over, gets Josh's attention, and the boys decide to join in. Their girlfriends trade looks before watching to see who wins.

Once they are in Atlanta, the group is given their rooming assignments and eagerly take their bags into the hotel. Through the week, the school group goes to various places in and around Atlanta.

"When is Six Flags again?" Kyle complains to Chloe one afternoon right before they tour the city proper. Rolling her eyes, Chloe answers for the hundredth time, "Friday. Now come on, we're touring the CNN building in ten minutes."

After the tour, just outside the CNN headquarters, the group stops to take a picture. As one of their group leaders arranges the picture, another asks someone to take their picture knowing how hard it is to get an entire group together. After about fifteen minutes, the teenagers are allowed to go free and go in groups to lunch.

"What do you want?" Chloe asks CSM as he stands in front of her, cigarette lit. She wants to leave the situation, but her exit is currently blocked by one of the smoking man's body guards. Furious, the teenager looks for another way out just as CSM asks her, "How about you leave with me and no one will get hurt?"

Chloe scoffs, not giving the man the satisfaction of an answer.

"You're as stubborn as your father," CSM growls. Surprise colors Chloe's face when she is suddenly blindfolded and then carried out of the room. Swearing at the smoking man the entire way to the car, the teenager is surprised no one hears her. At the same time, Chloe's group is meeting to head to another place on their list.

"Mrs. Hammond? Chloe's not here," Kyle points out before the group leaves to visit another attraction. Arching her eyebrow, Mrs. Hammond asks, "Do you know where she is?"

Shaking his head, Kyle instantly notices his teachers' face pale before turning to the other teacher on the trip. Now worried, Anna sidles next to Kyle asking, "You think she ditched?"

"I hope so," Kyle answers having a very uneasy feeling about the situation.

His uneasiness is founded as Chloe is driven further away from where she ate lunch.
