Chapter Six
Summer 14
As Dawn breaks, havery wakes up and check on Dorie. He looks over the couch to see her clenching the pillow with a smile, he blushes as he stares at her sleeping face. The look she has is peaceful which makes Harvey smile grow. He gets up quietly and whisper to himself "okay Harvey.. Dorie is still resting. Time to get ready for work. Harvey gathers his clothes as he goes to shower, and brush his teeth. He slowly tips toe to the door and shuts it behind him, he moves down the stairs quietly until he reaches the bottom. He walks over and check the clock, 10am signaling it's time to open up the clinic. He goes to the front desk and checks his schedule for the day, as he glancing down he can hear a "good morning." He looks up to see Dorie. She holds her old clothes in her hand as she waves at him. "Hey, I hope you don't mind if I keep these for a bit longer." She begins to blush "my other clothes are a bit dirty from last night…" Dorie walks up as Harvey looks her down "Don't worry about that. The shirt look better on you than it did me." Dorie grins as she raises an eyebrow "oh yeah? How about I keep it and make it my pj shirt instead?~" Harvey eyes widen as his face burns a bright pink. Dorie grabs the edge of the desk snickering "I was just kidding! I'll get it washed and return it to you later. I promise." Dorie takes herself and walks to the front door, before she leaves she waved bye to Harvey. He stares dumbfounded as he slowly waves back, watching her walk out the door. Dorie runs her fingers through her hair and makes her way into Pierre's shop. "Hey Pierre, can I just get a bag please?" He moves down to grab a bag "of course Farmer Dorie! Can I interest you in any seeds today?" He moves back up and hands it to her. She glances over and notices a table with a bunch of bouquets on it. "Not today I'm afraid, so what's with the flowers? Is it for a holiday?" He turned to the table "I almost forgot you're not from around here. Here in the valley we have a tradition. When you have someone you care about and want to be seriously romantic with, you give them a bouquet." She stares at the different colors as her face begins to burn up. "Can I have one please?" He turns at her smiling "of course!" He picks one up and prepares it for her. "Will that be all?" He hands them to her, as she looks at him and nods, quickly as she came she went. Pushing the bouquet in more to hide it, she runs into Sam. "Hey farmer Dorie!" As her blush fade she glances at Sam "oh hey Sam. what's up?" He smiles brightly "you'll never guess it, but we got a gig in Zuzu city!" Her smile grows as bright as Sam "Holy carp, that amazing Sam!" He points at her "you gotta see us perform Farmer Dorie. I was going to invite Dr.Harvey." she looks down at the bouquet thinking for a second and then back up to Sam "tell him I'm gonna be there!" Dorie starts her way back to her farm as Sam storms into the clinic while Harvey is doing Abigail's appointment. Harvey has his hands pressed together "Abigail you need to stop eating rocks… it's for your own good." In response Abigail fires back "you need to stop eating rocks." Harvey shuts his eyes until he's startled by Sam "hey Dr.Harvey.~" Abigail waved at Sam "hey Sam." As if annoyed Harvey looks to the side "Sam. You still enjoying bursting in while I'm giving your friends appointments." He becomes chill as he point to Harvey "yeah totally, but I wanna talk to you doc!" See our bang got a gig to perform in Zuzu city and we need Dr.Harvey to be there." Harvey turns to Sam and frown a bit "Sam I have discussed to you, I am a doctor not a babysitter. So to conclude this, no I won't watch you get high." Sam looks down and frowns "I.. forget to breathe through my nose… that the scary part. Plus you're the safest person we have here. But seriously we'd love for you to come see our show." He picks up his clipboard and writes a few notes down "look that's very generous of you Sam, but I don't really like concerts." He looks down and writes in Abigail's chart "now if you excuse me-" Sam interrupts "Well Farmer Dorie wanted me to let you know that she'll be coming." Sam smirks as Harvey puts down his pen "well maybe one concert wouldn't hurt me. But I'm still not watching you if you get high." Sam looks down in disappointment as a small "aww" escapes his mouth.
As farmer Dorie walk into her house, she goes straight to her kitchen. "Peaches?" Peaches strolls in looking up at her, Dorie places her hand on her hip smiling "okay Peaches, If I give this bouquet to Harvey then in return Harvey will become my boyfriend!" She tilts the bouquet "it's just that simple!" Peaches stares annoyed and walks away. Dorie's arm falls to her side as her smile fades "ya maybe your right Peaches, I'll give this to him tomorrow. The concert is on Saturday. So that means boyfriend tomorrow!" she moves to the counter and puts the bouquet in a vase making sure the ends are sticking into the water. She takes the bag of dirty clothes and washes them. As she makes her way to her room she changes to her work clothes. She takes the shirt and moves it to her nose and takes a big whiff, noting that it smells exactly like Harvey. Her face turns bright red as she mumbles "oh Harvey.~" She puts it away as she goes to the door. "Peaches I'm leaving to tend to the farm and go see Shane and Jas, I'll be back before 10. I swear" She walks out and locks the door. Like she swore around 9:50ish Dorie comes strolling in tired. She magic the house locked as she changes back into the pjs Harvey lended her. She slowly gets into bed and as gentle as she can be she stretches out her stitched up leg and yawn. She snuggles in mumbling "tomorrow is going to be the day Peaches." She slowly drifts off to sleep wondering what tomorrow has in store for her.
