Earth-101915: Paris, France
Predacon Megatron
Time of Convergence: One Day - 7:10 P.M. (24 Hours)
"Got it done!" Zonic the Hedgehog said with a salute to Jenny Everywhere and Bianca.
The Unseen Trio had met back in an alleyway after placing the letter in Ayla's room.
"At least we got the job done." Jenny said, satisfied. "Now let's..."
Suddenly, they heard a metallic squaking noise from behind.
They turned around to see a metallic bird in black and red with some white on the thrusters and wings and yellow eyes-blocking the exit from the alleyway.
It then flew past them and they watched it fly into the deep dark alley.
But as they turned back to run, they now saw that the exit was blocked by a large, almost human sized but around seven or nine feet tall figure.
He took out a large that emitted a small flame to reveal much to their fright, a silver metallic being with red eyes and sharp teeth with armor made out of the body of an ant. Almost demonic like.
"What is that?!" Exclaimed Brooke.
Suddenly, they turned around again as they heard metallic footsteps stomping toward them.
Out of the shadows, came a imposing metallic being with a dinosaur theme to his form albeit in robot mode as opposed to his beast mode with the metallic bird perched on his right arm.
The Unseen Trio trembled in fear of the Predacon leader.
"Well, well." Megatron grinned. "It's a good thing Number One convinced one of the Megatron variants of the council to convince their Soundwave to loan Laserbeak for a special assignment for this universe. Yes."
The Unseen Trio darted their eyes back and forth, wondering when to run or if it was a good idea to do so.
"Inferno, take them!" Megatron commanded his subordinate.
"At once, my queen!" Inferno said.
The ant Predacon lunged at the trio in quick succession.
"Run away!!!" Jenny and Zonic screamed.
The trio sprinted away but Inferno had managed to grab both Zonic and Jenny but Brooke had managed to escape and run out of the alleyway as bystanders stared briefly before going about their daily lives, never knowing what had just happened.
"Shall I go after her?" Inferno asked his leader.
"No!" Megatron said. "We don't want to reveal ourselves yet. The attack will be delayed until tomorrow thanks to their intrusion."
"Besides, the female is likely to return for her comrades." He then added. "We will have a nasty surprise in store for her."
"What are you gonna do to us?" Zonic asked.
To which Megatron replied with a dark and sinister chuckle.
"You had to ask." Jenny sighed as she glared daggers at Zonic.
Later that day...
Jenny and Zonic were then thrown into a jail cell of their homebase at the abandoned bread factory, bound in chains around their bodies and even mouths with laser bars activating to prevent them from escaping.
"You see, your comrade is likely to rescue you." Megatron began to explain. "So in the event, shall we say if she did come back today or tomorrow and managed to infiltrate our homebase, our security system among many things will be motion triggered by an organic as herself and only organics, not us Predacons."
He then continued. "So when the alarm is triggered, the entire base will be depleted of all oxygen. Which is not a problem for Predacons given, well, we're not flesh organics. We don't need the oxygen you need. And in mere seconds, you two and the female will no longer breathe."
Jenny and Zonic gulped in response.
"But if in the event you all survive, then it'll be death by firing squad." Megatron finished casually.
Then he darkly laughed, "I'll be honest, I hope for the firing squad for the sheer thought of your execution excites me. Yes!"
Jenny and Zonic continued to express fear, for they could not voice their objections.
"After all, nobody likes a snitch." Megatron said.
"Activate the security system, Iguanus." He then ordered another subordinate.
"At once, sir!" Iguanus said as he pressed his claws on the computer control panel.
"Now, my Predacons." Megatron began to address his troops. "Tomorrow, our presence will be known and these so called superheroes of this universe will feel our wrath!"
Every Predacon raised their arms and cheered with excitement. Except for Dinobot, who could only glare at Megatron.
Heckyl
Time of Convergence: Imminent, Today - 4:00 P.M. (Three Hours, Today)
"Your resume is impressive but you seem overqualified, mister..." The principal trailed off, struggling a bit to remember a particular name over the phone.
"Mr. Bennett." Said the man being interviewed, who had a streak of blue on his dark hair, gray pants suit with a navy tie on his grey vest with a matching gray leather blaze jacket and shoes and fingerless gloves.
"But you can call me...Heckyl." He then added.
"I see, Mr. Heckyl." The principal said before asking, "But I must ask, why this school in particular?"
"Oh I simply long for the simple teaching." Heckyl said with faux passion. "Shaping young impressionable minds to reach their fullest potential."
He then added, "I grew tired of educating college students given they can be such ruffians. They simply do not care for studying!"
Heckyl laid everything thick in the hopes that the principal could fall for his lie. He pretended to be sad with his last few words to sell it.
"I see that you really are passionate about teaching." The principal said, sounding entirely sympathetic.
"Yes." Heckyl said as he sniffled.
"Well, we do have an opening for a literature teacher." The principal proposed. "Would that be sufficient?"
"Oh yes!" Heckyl exclaimed as his eyes lit up as he clasped his hands. "That would be most delightful!"
"Very well!" The principal said, pleased with the outcome. "School begins in a few days, so you'll have to be there on the first day and right on time."
"I'll send you your schedule soon." The principal then added.
"I will keep in touch then." Heckyl said as he hung up afterwards.
He devilishly smiled to himself as plopped into a golden throne.
Heckyl had managed to get a TARDIS he stole that had been previously lost during the Time War. He recalled he had to fight someone named Susan over it and he won thanks to his trickery.
He had forgotten it a few times despite his other methods of traveling through the multiverse such as wrist devices.
Regardless, Heckyl now had his stolen TARDIS as his homebase, disguised as an organ that he parked in an alleyway in the hopes that no one would see it.
Heckyl began to reminisce about his early time on Earth-101915 upon arrival.
One day ago...
Heckyl hid in a tree as he walked through a park, he overheard two particular girls discussing a curious subject matter on a bench. He followed the girl with pigtails as immediately, he put two and two together she was Ladybug.
"I can tell you I didn't send that letter." Marinette told her friend Ayla as she read the letter she and her Kwami Trixx had mysteriously received.
"'Beware of those beyond the stars.'" Marinette read the letter aloud before she asked her friend, "What do you think it means?"
"I don't know." Ayla shrugged. "I thought you would you know."
"But it doesn't make any sense." Marinette said, confused. "Do we know anyone from beyond the stars?"
"Nope." Ayla shook her head.
"I think maybe someone is trying to prank us." She added.
"Awful lot of work to just write a letter and have you find it." Marinette said.
"Maybe it just means nothing." Marinette added as she shrugged.
"You're probably right." Ayla agreed before she smiled.
"Let's talk about why we're really here."
Marinette made a noise of excitement.
"I'm going on a date with Adrien!!"
'Who on Earth knew who I was here?' Heckyl thought to himself, feeling a bit alarmed.
'I hate people who snitch!' Heckyl then thought as he had a look of annoyance on his face.
With that, he walked away in a huff.
Unbeknownst to him, Marinette and Ayla however; they were watched by an unknown figure in a gray cloak in the same park as she sat in a nearby bench.
Now...
Heckyl had decided since yesterday, it was going to be now or never.
'Anything to appease my uncouth other self anyway.' He thought to himself as he opened his pocket watch.
"You'll be happy to know, you're getting your wish." Heckyl said to Snide.
"Yes!!!" Snide growled in excitement.
Karnilla
Time of Convergence: Imminent - 5:00 P.M. (Two hours)
Karnilla sat on her makeshift throne as she was deep in her own thoughts. She replayed the events of her arrival in this universe in her head.
She remembered yesterday, she had decided to explore much of this universe in regards to what it might have to offer.
She wanted a new kingdom after her universe was destroyed by a bright white light. But she was fortunate that she was not the only one who arrived in this particular universe. Refugees she recognized and some she did not but nevertheless, recruited them for her cause.
Her temporary home was an abandoned boarding school.
Karnilla hated the drab and deteriorating state of it but it had to do. The Queen of the Norms could get a new and cleaner castle by the time she was successful enough to conquer this universe.
One day ago...
Karnilla had managed to open an portal discreetly to somewhere near a park, another alleyway, but not before she donned a disguise being a gray cloak with a hood; under the impression it would at least be inconspicuous.
Aside from a few stares from bystanders, people just simply went about their day. Even one glance, they would just assume she was some weird person with eccentric fashion. Or cosplay.
At the park, she overheard mostly young people from college kids to young teenagers. Some college kids were discussing about their dreams. Mainly about somehow they shared the same dream about a man with a razor glove stalking them.
Other young teens even discussed they had heard reports about a miner stalking and murdering couples themed after Valentine's Day despite the year already way passed that.
But this was all trivial to Karnilla, Queen of the Norms. This was not the research she was searching for.
That was, until she spotted someone familiar at the park.
She saw the girl from that fateful night.
It was from afar but she recognized the pigtails from behind. It was the same girl she followed upon arriving in this very universe.
Without her or her friend noticing, she sat on a nearby bench a few feet away from the two.
"I can tell you I didn't send that letter." Karnilla overheard what Marinette told her friend Ayla.
"'Beware of those beyond the stars.' What do you think it means?"
"I don't know. I thought you would know."
"But it doesn't make any sense. Do we know anyone from beyond the stars?"
Karnilla seemed annoyed. She wondered as to who even knew about her presence in this universe.
Now...
"My lady."
Karnilla shook her head as she was now out of her deep thoughts. She looked to see one of her subjects kneeling before her; a green skinned woman with long dark hair in a dark armored one piece suit that covered her body with a sword strapped to the back.
"Rise, Gamora." Karnilla said.
As she stood up, Karnilla walked off her throne as the rest of her subordinates joined Gamora.
The subordinates Karnilla had gathered were all from the destroyed Earth-101915 as like her, they were also sent to this very universe.
"My loyal subjects," Karnilla addressed her subordinates. "Tonight, we will make our presence known and strike at our enemies."
She continued on, "Mark my words, I sense power within this universe and I want it. And with such power, I will make this universe my new kingdom. I will be its ultimate ruler. The denizens will worship me as their only God."
"Of course, I can't do it all without my loyal subjects." Karnilla then sweet talked as she eyed on Nebula, a bald, blue skinned alien humanoid with dark eyes and some cybernetics, who wore a similar outfit as Gamora, albeit colored purple and black.
"Thanks, mom." Nebula sarcastically remarked. "Sounds fair."
Gamora and Nebula on Earth-030165 had never joined the Guardians of the Galaxy nor did they had their chance to become heroes in their right. They had still obeyed the word of Thanos, until during one faithful day when their universe was wiped out, Thanos had been killed in battle during a fight with the Valkyries.
Gamora and Nebula had been mysteriously transported to the current universe they were in, until Karnilla had found them near the same abandoned boarding school and reluctantly vowed to serve the Queen of the Norms.
"I'm ready to serve you, my queen." A man in gold and red armor said.
"I'd expect you to, Brona." Karnilla smirked.
Brona, also of Earth-030165, had been part of a trio of brothers from Asgard known as The Enchanters. He had also been mysteriously transported to this very universe and was promised by Karnilla that his brothers will be found after he had helped her conquer Earth-101915.
"And of course, I can't forget my three loyal serpents." Karnilla said as she addressed three more subordinates.
Three young women; a lightly tanned woman in green and black, a light brown skinned woman in primarily white and green clothing and a woman with pink hair, a pink domino mask and wore pink and shades of black clothing, all who went by the names of Black Mamba, Asp and Diamondback, joined the others.
"You better not." Black Mamba said as a mysterious substance in purple and black soon covered her body and face.
Her appearance now had white eyes with no pupils and a mouth full of sharp teeth and armed with claws and the "hair" being more like tendrils.
Likewise, the same happened to Asp and Diamondback. Except for the former had red and white and the latter had yellow and black.
"Or should I say, my Serpent Symbiotes?" Karnilla grinned.
Black Mamba, Asp and Diamondback were former members of the Serpent Society on Earth-030165 as they had wanted to strike out on their own. But their dreams as a villainous trio were cut short as they were kidnapped by the Life Foundation, who had wanted to create their own symbiotes based on the Venom and Carnage symbiotes.
But just as they were fully complete in their transformation, their universe had been destroyed by a flash of white light but at the very last minute, they were transported to Earth-101915. And consequently, they had found themselves lost until they had met Karnilla, who had offered them a place in her conquest.
"We live to serve!" Said Black Mamba, now known as the Symbiote Agony.
"I'm itching for a fight right now!" Growled Asp, the Symbiote known as Misery.
"So say we all!" Diamondback, now the Symbiote known as Scream concurred as she chanted.
"Patience, my loyal subjects." Said Karnilla. "The time will come in a matter of hours."
"And this pitiful universe will be mine." Karnilla grinned as she gave a dark chuckle.
Marinette
Time of Convergence: Imminent - 6:50 P.M. (15 Minutes)
Marinette had rested well for a couple of days but from two days ago, she woke up to a piece of news she did not expect to see and was horrified as somehow, she was not aware during one of her patrols.
A police car had been destroyed in what was perceived as a freak accident. The only upside was it was not Officer Roger Raincomprix, a police officer who had been Akumatized before. He had been off duty earlier.
Still, the incident was unnerving. But Marinette could not help but wonder if it was not an accident. And if it wasn't, who did it.
"It still can't be Gabriel." Marinette recalled saying to Tikki. "There has to be somebody else but who?"
"Maybe you're right and there might always be somebody worse." She added.
"Don't stress it too much though." Tikki assured her. "There always comes new experience that help become one more the wiser."
Marinette agreed. At the very least, she felt a bit confident as she had been ready for quite a while for her date with Adrien now that they had fully entered a relationship.
There were loose ends but at the very least, things looked up a bit. Miraculouses were reunited and heroes were either born or reborn. And at the very least, she managed to at least had Gabriel see reason, at least somewhat, before he perished as he made his wish.
Nevertheless, Marinette was currently deciding between dresses as she stared at a mirror. Tonight, was her date with Adrien Agreste.
"What do you think, Tikki?" Marinette asked as she held navy blue and black and red dresses. "Navy blue would help me stand out but black and red would be more appealing but that would just giveaway I'm Ladybug, wouldn't it?"
"Marinette, slow down!" Tikki said. "I'm sure there's a dress in here that would suit but you can't stress about this forever."
"I know, Tikki." Marinette said. "I just want this date to be perfect."
"Besides a few loose ends," She began to add. "The Earth is out of danger, the Kwamis are safe and secured with new and old heroes returning. And of course, my dream come true being in a relationship with Adrien!"
Marinette sighed with happiness as she plopped down on her bed.
"I swear things have gotten so much better now!" Marinette exclaimed.
"Don't be so sure, Marinette!"
Marinette suddenly bolted upright-startled, as she heard a disembodied voice. She glanced at Tikki.
"Don't look at me!" The Kwami shrugged.
"Speaking too soon like that will oftentimes leave people unguarded and unprepared for the future. You are no exception to the rule."
Marinette deduced the voice sounded like an old woman. A very stern and condescending old woman given her tone of voice.
"A bit of a rude statement, don't you think?" Marinette responded, sounding annoyed.
As Marinette told off the voice, a face appeared on her bedroom wall for a brief moment. Something that Tikki witnessed and screamed as she tugged on Marinette's hair.
"Tikki, what is it?!" Marinette gasped as whirled around to face... nothing.
"B-but it was right there!" Tikki stammered.
"What's going on?!" Marinette demanded.
"More what's going to happen. For you see, your troubles are not over yet. For every threat, there will be one worse than the last. You were fortunate with Gabriel that in spite of his misguided motives, he at least listened to your words."
Marinette emitted a loud noise of shock.
"How did you know about Gabriel?!" She asked.
"I know everything! I know your friends such as Ayla. Your parents. Adrien."
"Leave them out of this!" Marinette exclaimed angrily.
"They have everything to do with future events given the convergence of threats who have come to your universe, Ladybug."
Marinette's eyes were wide open in shock.
"I, um, I'm not Ladybug!" She stammered as she tried to deny her superhero identity.
" You are a terrible liar!"
Suddenly, Marinette's computer turned on by itself and showed an image of an old woman with gray hair and red goggles on her eyes along with the words displayed:
Madame Web
Marinette and Tikki raced over to the computer to read the contents.
"'Madame Web?'" Marinette read aloud. "Sounds like a bad action movie."
"Don't compare me to that imposter!" The old woman's face shouted, offended, as she literally talked on the monitor. "I'm aghat you decided to make such a comparison!"
Both Marinette and Tikki screamed upon seeing the sight of her talking on the monitor.
"But I'll let go of such an insult if you listen to me!" The old woman said.
With that, a swirl of pinkish red clouds formed into a mist and swirled around them.
"Marinette, what's happening?!" Tikki screamed as the mist engulfed them both completely.
Tikki was suddenly silenced.
"Tikki?!" An alarmed Marinette exclaimed. "Tikki?! Tikki, where are you?!"
The mist opened to reveal Marinette in her Ladybug superhero costume much to her confusion. She did not transform into Ladybug, nor did she thought about it despite the advanced weirdness surrounding her just now.
"My costume!" Marinette, now Ladybug, gasped in shock. "But how did she-WHOA!!!"
Suddenly, she found herself falling through a vortex and was seemingly endless until finally, she landed on a chair, safe and sound.
Ladybug now found herself face to face with the woman she saw on her computer monitor. Only now, she saw the full body; a red outfit with a symbol of a white spider and curiously, no legs. Just what looked like one long tail. Or at the very least, Ladybug assumed she wore a very long dress that covered her legs.
The old woman sat on a large, decorated chair that was themed after a spider's web with a table full of tarot cards.
"Where-where am I?" Asked Ladybug in confusion.
"A dimension where I exist only in." Answered Madame Web.
"What do you even want with me?" Ladybug asked nervously.
"I merely have come to warn you of the incoming threats." Madame Web replied. "While there is one who will make their move soon given a certain missing Kwami, three in particular at the very least will serve a bigger challenge."
"Three?" Ladybug raised her eyebrow. "That can't be right."
"I'm afraid it is. Gabriel Agreste may have had a change of heart despite his ill conceived idea of a better universe and while your kindness and ability to see the best in others is very, very admirable; certain threats will not be as open minded and willing to change." Madame Web gravely warned Ladybug.
"And soon, a more unforgiving threat will appear once the smoke clears. And they will set their sights on your universe." She added.
"What are you talking about?" Asked Ladybug.
"You are familiar with the concept of the multiverse, are you not?" Madame Web asked. "Remember Shadybug and Claw Noir?"
"I remember them!" Ladybug exclaimed in surprise. "How did you even know that?"
" I know a lot of what goes on in the greater multiverse." Madame Web said in a matter of fact tone.
She then added, "Your encounter with your alternate self is only a taste of the multiverse. Whereas the wider multiverse is vast and ever expanding where you and your friends, even Gabriel might as well be little fishes in a vast ocean. And soon you will find that your world-your universe, as you know it, is about to be turned upside down!"
With a snap of her fingers, her dimension literally turned upside down with only Madame Web, the table and both chairs remaining in place, whereas Ladybug hung on to the armrests of her chair as she screamed.
Madame Web placed down a card and the dimension turned to its correct axis being right side up. With Ladyburg falling onto the chair-head first before falling off and onto the floor completely.
Ladybug scrambled to get up and sit back on the chair before dusting herself off.
"Why aren't you telling Cat Noir about this too if it's super important?" Ladybug asked.
"I will be meeting with him immediately after." Madame Web replied simply. "I do trust however you and him will tell all your friends and allies of the incoming battles. For they will need to overcome them as well."
"Fighting these threats will count as your training to combat the ultimate threat." She added. "After all, I imagine you wish to know what happened to Chloé Bourgeois, do you not?"
"You know what happened to Chloé?!" Ladybug gasped.
"All in good time." Madame Web replied. "While she is alive, you will not like the answer however but that bridge will be crossed when the time finally arrives."
"But I really need to know!" Ladybug shouted as leapt out of the chair.
"Don't be so impatient, young lady!" Madame Web raised her voice, her stern tone echoed.
The loud stern voice was enough to get Ladybug to sit back down.
"I said that time is not yet!" Madame Web sternly chided Ladybug. "Do not mistake my wisdom for apathy! I have seen all and I know all! And I know well enough that you are not ready for the uncomfortable truth! Which is why everything about these threats will serve as your training to prepare yourself."
As Madame Web placed another card on top of the other cards, it suddenly floated toward her.
"Your card."
"Thanks but no thanks." Ladybug politely declined. "I don't think I'm much into tarot reading."
"I insist." Madame Web politely said.
Ladybug took the card and looked at it from the front and to her curiosity, it was a card labeled The Magician with an art piece of a woman in really old, ancient clothing and holding a candle and pointing both upwards and downwards.
"What's this?" Asked Ladybug.
"A symbol for resourcefulness, intelligence and the ability to find solutions." Madame Web replied. "Does that not sound familiar?"
"I...I guess it does." Ladybug chuckled as she now realized the card was about her.
"Consider it your first lesson," Madame Web began. "You managed to learn how to combat and cure what you refer to as Akumatized victims. These threats will be more direct and may be just as manipulative, therefore you must out-think your opponents and be aware of their own weaknesses."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Asked a confused Ladybug.
Ladybug did not get an answer as the mist swirled around her again and sent her back to her room, this time, back in her normal clothes.
"I didn't imagine that, did I?" Marinette asked Tikki, relieved to see her friend again.
"Unless we can share hallucinations, it was awfully real to me!" Tikki said.
Marinette looked down at her right hand to see she was still holding the Tarot card of The Magician.
"Definitely real!" Marinette exclaimed in shock as she and Tikki stared at the card in surprise.
"I wonder what she meant back there about these new threats?" Marinette asked aloud.
Suddenly, Marinette let out a startled yell.
"GAH!" Marinette shouted.
"What's wrong?!" Asked an alarmed Tikki.
"Adrien is coming in ten minutes!!" Replied a frantic Marinette as she frantically ran to her closet again.
Time of Convergence: Imminent - 7:00 P.M. (In ten minutes)
Adrien had finally arrived at the bakery that also served as the home of Marinette Dupain-Cheng, in his best tuxedo and having a rose on his left hand as a gift to Marinette.
He had been driven over there by his ever caring and faithful butler Placide I.T.
Adrien had anxiously awaited for his date, though he felt a bit jumpy recently.
For earlier, he had a peculiar and confusing encounter with an old woman who called herself Madame Web who warned him of the incoming threats, the answer of what happened to Chloé Bourgeois and the so called ultimate threat. Which afterwards, he had more questions but she did not say more.
Save for what Adrien perceived as a parting gift; a Tarot card of The Fool. Which sounded like an insult at first but Madame Web had pointed out that the card was about being inexperienced and not knowing what to expect but one that embraces new beginnings, listening to your inner feelings, taking a leap of faith and loyalty.
All of which she claimed coyly it sounded like him.
At first like Marinette, he thought he hallucinated until he saw he still held The Fool card. Plagg did not even have an answer. He was as weirded out as Adrien.
Regardless, he had to push his thoughts on the matter aside, in order to concentrate his date with Marinette.
He did not know it, but Marinette had the same thinking as well despite Tikki's concerns.
Finally after formalities with Marinette, the couple were then driven to a bistro called Bistrot Chez France.
Adrien's butler was pleased to see his client have genuine happiness after everything that had happened. He definitely needed it.
"It looks lovely!" Said Marinette as she and Adrien were seated near the window.
She admired the inside of the bistro. Inside, she was feeling giddy that she got to be with Adrien.
"I knew you'd love it." Adrien smiled softly. "I'll be honest, I was nervous about even picking this place."
'And the fact that some crazy old lady told me about incoming threats just earlier.' Adrien thought to himself.
"Don't be so nervous." Marinette assured her boyfriend. "If anything, I'm the one who's nervous. It's the first time I feel we're finally taking our relationship seriously."
'And I'm also nervous that some weird old woman told me there's weird threats coming to our universe!' Marinette thought to herself.
Adrien chuckled, "I guess we're not that different so far."
Marinette returned the chuckle as she saw the humor of it all.
Time of Convergence: Imminent - 7:10 P.M. (Now)
"Well?!" Snide growled to Heckyl from the pocket watch.
"It's showtime!" Heckyl exclaimed with a grin as the tattoo on his neck began to glow.
Karnilla opened the portal that led directly to the street of the bistro.
"Onward, my loyal soldiers!" Karnilla exclaimed as she held her staff in triumph forward-motioning her subjects to proceed with the attack.
"It is time, my Predacons!" Megatron exclaimed as he and his Predacon troops hid in the alleyway.
As Placide waited in the car, he was looking through his phone to pass the time. That was, until something had caught his eye. Something peculiar.
Without even Marinette or Adrien noticing, he stepped outside of the car and ran forward.
"Appetizers sure take a while, don't they?" Adrien said.
"Well it did seem like a complicated dish." Marinette said, referring to an item she found on the menu.
Suddenly, they heard screaming from outside.
The couple turned to the window to see various people running away-screaming in fear of something.
"Run for you lives!" People screamed. "It's a dinosaur! How?! Not again!"
"Dinosaur?" Marinette and Adrien both said in confusion as they glanced at each other.
Then they felt the ground shake a bit.
"Earthquake?" Adrien asked Marinette.
"It can't be!" Marinette said, still in confusion. "They're rare and usually wouldn't occur in Paris!"
BOOM!
"Wait..." Marinette realized. "That sounded more like an explosion."
The sound continued to occur as the couple once again turned to the window.
They suddenly witnessed Placide thrown back somehow. He appeared relatively unharmed but it looked like he was a bit bruised around his chest and had clutched his left arm around it.
But something alarmed them, he now ran away just as to their shock, a red laser blast hit the car he drove the couple in, exploded.
The couple ducked under the table as the window shattered due the shockwave of explosion.
After everyone either ducked or shielded themselves, every customer and even staff members ran away from the bistro in a mad panic.
"Are you alright?!" The two said in unison out of concern.
"I hope Placide is alright!" Adrien exclaimed out of concern.
"I'm positive he is." Marinette assured her boyfriend.
"Stay here, I'll call for help!" Marinette advised Adrien.
He nodded and with that, she ran off.
"Plagg, claws out!" Adrien called upon his Kwami as soon as he saw the coast was clear.
Marinette in the meanwhile stepped inside the women's restroom, which was thankfully empty.
"Tikki, spots on!" She called upon her Kwami.
Both young teens turned into their respective superhero personas; Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Outside, people continued to run from what they perceived as a dinosaur. As he marched down the street, he relished in seeing the humans run from him. Helping his enjoyment was shooting in his robot mode earlier before transforming back into his beast mode.
Suddenly, Ladybug and Cat Noir jumped onto the middle of the street-ready to fight.
To their shock however, stepping out of the shadows was in fact, a dinosaur. A T-Rex that for some reason was colored purple with some hints of green but with red eyes.
"Dinosaurs again?!" Ladybug cried out in shock.
"Didn't we do this already?" Cat Noir asked.
"It's not me this time!"
The superhero duo turned around to see a dark brown skinned young woman, her hair in the box braids style, wore a blue dress with white flowers on it and a white lab coat. They recognized her as Dr. Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale, who once actually brought back to life three Tyrannosaurus Rex from an earlier incident.
"I swear..." She said as she panted and took breaths in between due to running all the way to the street. "It... wasn't... me!"
Ladybug and Cat Noir turned back to the T-Rex in front of them.
"Then what's this one?" Ladybug asked.
"I don't know but this T-Rex doesn't look like he wants to sing songs!" Cat Noir quipped.
"Believe me, I detest that insipid show. Ghastly." The T-Rex remarked in disgust.
"It talked?!" Ladybug and Cat Noir screamed in shock.
"Believe me, I'm not what I seem." He darkly chuckled, before exclaiming, "Megatron, terrorize!"
The T-Rex immediately transformed into his true form; his robot mode, where the head of the T-Rex was now a weapon for his right hand to hold, with the same deal as the tail on his left hand. His actual robotic head appeared. And his size was the same as the average human except taller.
"And I have more forms to choose from!" Megatron darkly grinned.
"Did he just transform into a robot?!" Ladybug screamed in shock.
"I can't believe it myself!" Cat Noir responded in shock as well.
"Astounding!" Dr. Bocquale exclaimed in shock and intrigue.
"Run for cover!" Ladybug said to the scientist.
"On it!" The scientist nodded as she did just that, while Ladybug and Cat Noir were prepared to fight.
"Let the hunt begin!" Megatron exclaimed before he laughed.
"What?!"
Megatron ceased his laughter as he immediately bore a confused expression on his face.
He turned around to see a blue and gray crystallized monster with a large sword on his right hand.
"Who the heck are you?!" The monster known as Snide growled his demand.
Ladybug and Cat Noir were shocked to see another potential villain but suddenly, a bright flash of light emitted behind them that even Megatron and Snide noticed.
The two heroes turned around to see much to their shock, another potential villain; it was Karnilla and her loyal subordinates.
Karnilla made a double take as despite being briefly pleased she was going to have a go at fighting Ladybug and Cat Noir, she was less than thrilled to see her apparent competition to conquer this universe.
"Who are you?!" Karnilla demanded as she addressed both Megatron and Snide.
"What in the name of Primus is this?!" Megatron exclaimed angrily, just as the rest of his Predacons arrived to aid their leader.
"That's what I want to know from both of you!" Snide retorted.
"Leave at once or face my wrath!" Karnilla shouted her demand to her competitors.
Ladybug and Cat Noir were at a total loss. Three villains had them both cornered but were angry at each other over what both superheroes assumed was intruding on each other's turf. They were at a total loss.
"What do we do now, bugaboo?!" Cat Noir asked Ladybug.
"First, we gotta to call for help!" Ladybug replied. "And then, we have to fight them off but we can't let people get hurt!"
Regardless of what the two superheroes intend to do, their greatest battle had now begun.

Author's Notes:
I don't know when but the big fight is going to get written. To be clear though, this is the start of the villain war and it'll escalate in future stories after this. It's only the beginning.
- SC8's The Last Zone Cop was the motive. I decided to finally complete my first set of plans for this, at least one aspect being Ladybug meeting Madame Web.
- I actually wrote this backwards and then all over the place. I did discuss a few things with Sentinel of Stories and he suggested meeting with Madame Web could happen when she rescues the heroes during the battle and I did agree to that originally but by the time I decided to write this, I feel that because I'm going to have Ladybug, Cat Noir and other heroes fight the three villains who meet each other, this should be a big deal. Ergo, that deserves its own one shot.
So I settled on going back to my original concept and maybe make both an addendum that's about Ladybug and Madame Web and the other the villain's POV but ultimately as I wrote it, I not only combined the two stories I wrote simultaneously but also turned it into a full on one shot.
- So the format in mind with the sections and captions. I had Jonathan Hickman in mind given the stuff in his X-Men comics with whatever info about Krakoa. So he was an influence. As was what I heard about Furiosa having "chapters." Likely that played a part.
- Originally, I had Heckyl first then Megatron either second or third but then I switched the order when I wanted to immediately follow up on the one shot by SC8.
- And speaking of, I decided to have some fun with the Unseen Trio. So when I presented my intentions to have them captured by the Predacons, his only condition was that Brooke would escape and I obliged.
- The line "You had to ask" is reminiscent of a similar moment from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
- The death of lack of air thing, something I got from the Batman: The Animated Series episode The Clock King where the titular villain crafted a very well thought out trap for Batman where he anticipated every move and sucking out the oxygen was one of his moves.
- I picture Paul Dobson voicing Iguanus to be honest.
- But also with Zonic and Jenny Everywhere, I'm just curious if SC8 or anyone else will follow up on that. So I admit purposefully set it up like that to see what would anyone think of.
- So, this takes place after season five of Miraculous Ladybug. As such, I addressed some particular events. Such as the original principal of the school no longer there. Yeah. For real. But not to be inconsistent, I played ot safe two ways, phone interview and not mentioning the gender at all.
That way, once the new principal is revealed, I'll write he, she, they, etc. as they are.
- As for Heckyl, basically I feel that him being a teacher would make for great opportunities to use psychological warfare and manipulation on Ladybug, Cat Noir and other heroes now that he knows their secrets. They don't know he and Snide are the same guy.
- Mr. Bennett is named after Simon Bennett who produced the last couple of Power Rangers seasons.
- Karnilla I went back and forth about whether she should have minions or not. Ultimately I decided yes. And since they were going to be from Earth-030165, I wanted to get a bit creative.
- References to Freddy Krueger and Axel, the killer from My Bloody Valentine who Ben2Dartmouth set up traveling the multiverse.
- I do intend for Gamora, Nebula and Dinobot to get their redemption arcs.
- I wanted to include the B.A.D. Girls group but wanted a twist so I picked symbiotes. They never had symbiotes on them in the mainstream comics but I wanted to go for something new.
- Scream and Agony are Symbiotes introduced in the 90s comics but Misery is a recent one as of the Marvel event Absolute Carnage. Some creative liberties were taken with her for my take but yeah.
- Brona's inclusion was me wanting another Asgardian for I love the Thor mythos and characters of the comics. So one of the Enchanters had to do and I liked his design the best. And really, all these choices I do want to give the heroes a challenge so that their eventual victory against the villains will be satisfying.
- Marinette's stuff was what I wrote first. Made a couple of edits here and there for consistency.
- In regards to Madame Web, I definitely had the 90s cartoon version in mind and while I wanted it to be different from say, her first interaction with Peter Parker, some moments I couldn't help but indulge in putting similar moments and a particular line.
- Come on, I had to make a pot shot to that movie.
- Reference to Lila becoming the new big bad of season six given the cliffhanger. I wanted to at least mention yeah that's still gonna happen but there's still these other threats to deal with simultaneously.
- I understand some fans had a polarizing reaction regarding the season five finale given what Gabriel did. Though as I understand it, season six is going to address ALL of that. So I was treading that line best I could so I wouldn't step on anyone's toes on the topic given how I had Madame Web mention the guy.
- Tarot cards, I looked up which ones would fit Ladybug and Cat Noir and those particular cards seem to fit them. Of course I took some liberties with their definitions using whatever is convenient for me.
- Of course, I had to reference the Daleks and yes, I still intend that they're the ultimate big bad in my stories and yes, Ladybug and everyone are going to fight them when the villain war ends.
- Believe it or not, yes, there is a Miraculous Ladybug episode where someone brought back Dinosaurs to life and it didn't become a Jurassic Park scenario.
The funny thing is, that was the opening moment to an episode in season five. It was not the main plot! I missed that admittedly but yeah.
- Barney potshot. Couldn't help myself. I hate the show and wanted to make the potshot. The opportunity was staring at me in the face.
- The many forms line, I can explain that. See, I couldn't decide if I should go with Predacon Megatron having the first season beast and robot modes or the Transmetal beast and robot modes from the second season.
Ultimately, I'm going with both. Just gonna go with this variant of Beast Wars Megatron managed to become a quadruple changer into them back and forth. And to be fair, there's precedent given Sixshot for example transforming into multiple modes.
- I did originally end it with just Predacon Megatron laughing but I felt it'd be more effective that the other villains showed up and questioning why they're in the same location going after the same targets.
